hands down, the best explanation, short and simple! This latest 'push' to have a child is actually the first in awhile for Sam. As you mentioned, Sam has been dealing with a load of other bs for the past couple of months that she hasn't even really mentioned it. Her and Jason are finding their way back to each other and so naturally she want's to try and have a baby. The loss of her first child was CENTRAL to the Jason/Sam story and I don't see it as anything other than a natural need/want to be a mother and have a family.

EXACTLY! Their very first storyline as an actual couple was trying to adopt Bridget's baby. Do people not remember her wanting to start a family with Jason back then? That was exactly 2 years ago. She was crushed when she couldnt keep the child. She then wanted her own baby with Jason. Dr. Meadows told her she had to wait 6 months and by the time that happened Jason got sick and had to have brain surgery. When he was fine she wanted to try again but was told she still had complications. Soon after she had to deal with Manny stalking her, the epidemic, her brother's death, finding out Alexis was her mother, getting shot, losing Jason, being framed, going on the run and nearly dying. This is the first free chance she's really had all year. Its only natural that she'd go back to her original plans of having a child

Thank you Cheap, yes people have forgotten that fact. She was devistated when she couldn't keep that baby girl. And we all know that that baby WAS not Jason's and she would have raised the baby with Jason as her own. Sam and Jason love each other apart from a baby. He loved her when she was pregnant with Sonny's kid and he loved her after.

Even if you hate Sam you can not say honestly that Jason does not love her, and you can not say that she does not love him. Whatever you think/feel about their relationship, the fact that they love each other can not be denied or disputed based on the way the story has been written!

She never says she wants to be a mother, she says "I want Jason's baby" or something like that. Personally I don't see it coming across that she wants a child with Jason other than to have a link to him.

That and I think Sam wants a baby for all the wrong reasons, such as her need to have something that she thinks loves her. The same reason most sad preteens on Maury want a baby for. People who have babies on the brain 24/7 disturb me in that it seems self-serving. Personally, I wouldn't let her raise a puppy. She has terrible judgment. Can you think of the situations she will put that child in?

Lila/Adela? She wanted that baby to be a connection for her and Sonny because she was so in LOOOOOVE with him. Not because she wanted to be a mother.

Same thing with Jason. She doesn't want to be a mother. She wants JASON'S baby. That's all that keeps coming out of her mouth. "I want to have your child," or " I want to have a child with you," or "Now I understand why YOU don't want to have a baby..." It's never a solo "I" statement. It's never about "I want to be a mother," or "I want to have a baby."

Hey -- here's an idea. GET MARRIED, FIRST!

But, then again, why get married when a BABY is more binding? The skank ain't slick.

And even though I detest Ms. Sneed, she had every right to rip into Sam. I mean, seriously. What the hell was Sam thinking? "Hmmm... this is my first day on the job. But fcuk being on time! I'm gonna CHOOSE to have sex!!"

Laura Wright's Character is just horribly annoying. Galloping across town just neighing and thrashing her skunky mane all over the place -- FOR WHAT?! First of all, shut up about that kiss, already! Secondly, be a big girl and stop having Jason solve ALL of your relationship problems with Sonny. Third of all, quit sounding like you're in junior high with all of your, "Jase! We're BFF's!!" every five minutes. Fourth, get the HELL out of Elizabeth's face. I totally disagree with almost all of Liz's choices in this storyline, but b!tch, that's my girl, thick or thick. GET OUT OF HER FACE!

Edit to add, I only saw one scene today, and that was Lulu, as the Carly copy, getting in Maxie's face and Georgie intervening. Georgie's problem is that she needed to stomp a mudhole in Lulu for what she pulled because apparently, she thinks her shhhhi doesn't stink when she and Maxie are no different.
