Who will read the Christmas story at the hospital this year?

  • Member

Well, I know many wondered if Hoggie will write in the traditional Christmas story at the hospital to the kids. Well, on tomorrow's show we learn who will read it this year!

It will be Kayla! YAY! :D

Actually, ups... It will be Steve! :D :D :D

I was just reading Jason47's list of Christmas Reading and I am shocked that Hope has NEVER read the Christmas story! I think that next year, Hope should do it! When I look at it, neither have Julie or Maggie...

Traditionally, the hospital Christmas story has been read by a man. Tom Sr, Bo, Roman, Patch, Jack- I can't even think of a year when a woman read it. Patch is a good choice. I disagree that it should be read by a Horton. It's not always a Horton, traditionally, who reads it. Yes, Tom read it for many years when he was on, but in the past 23 years of my own viewership, I can recall many times when Tom was still on the show but someone else read the Christmas story.

Last woman I remember doing it was Chloe. She did it during her cancer storyline.

Seeing Steve in his eyepatch reading the Christmas Story will be a hoot, that's for sure.

He used to play Santa on the pier all the time (for kids who usually don't get presents)...

using the explanation that one of the reindeer poked him in the eye by mistake :)

But I am not sure...is he going to be "Patchyclause"/dressed as Santa, or just Steve reading the story?

Actually... per Jason's site...

2003: Jennifer

2004: Jennifer

2005: Shawn D.

And prior to that was Chloe and Alice... so it was always just men...

I'dve loved it to be a Horton, I am just pining for them to make a comeback, oh so very badly. I think this could've been Hope's year, after all she's been through it could've been some sort of peace-finding.

But Steve's cool.

Why not Hope? She suffered the emotional toll that the usual reader suffers during the year. I don't know. Steve is okay, but I would much rather it be a Horton. This crap about it being a Brady and Horton tradition is bogus. This was a Horton tradition and that's it. Sure, Bo and Roman may have been there a few times, but that's it. It's a Horton tradition.
