Members px780
Aww, Passions of long ago. A beautiful, entertaining, well-executed parody of other soap operas. Good times. I hope they just kill Grace. At this point it's almost hard to remember her, so why not let her go, y'know?
Members KMan101
I agree HoganStaysatDays ... I could overlook the lack of payoffs because in the early years the show was SO enjoyable. Now it's trash. It's disgusting. I want the humor back ... the camp ... the fun. Grace "dies" and it's probably a given. I'm not surprised at all. She'll stay dead for about six months to a year and then suddenly return again. What a waste and I feel so bad for Dana Sparks.
Members daysfan
I honestly don't care anymore, this show has spiraled into failure and deserves to be canceled. As much as I love and adore Grace and Dana, it would be a lie to say I care whether she dies or not. The show would just ruin her whether she dies or not anyway. Members PhoenixRising05
You know what? I agree with you. Sadly, I hope they do kill her because it will be one less reason for me to even tune in to this show. With every passing tidbit of info, the nail keeps being driven further and further into the coffin and that is sad because this show has potential but it is being squandered. I knew from the get go they would kill Grace even when it seemed like Dana didn't know what was going on. It just seemed like what they were leaning towards. They did absolutely nothing with her and they could have at least brought her back to Harmony to face off with Eve. Ivy, and the others. Of course, Passions couldn't give us the realy payoff so it was all on the phone. After years of investment, the fans get phone conversations. Wonderful job there JER . Members RionPassions
I honestly wonder what JER's line of thinking is. How is keeping us from a Gram reunion going to make us happy? And giving us a half-assed payoff when the scheme was exposed? Grace should be in Harmony! I think JER has a death wish for Passions. Members PhoenixRising05
I don't know if it's a death wish Rion or JER just pissed off at NBC because of being fired and having the budget cuts and just wanting to torture fans or something. JER admits he likes to toy with the audience so it wouldn't surprise if he threw all care about quaility and payoffs to the wind and just decided to run amok and make the show into one big trainwreck. The show was on a hot streak in the summer and then September came and BAM it all went south and it got worse then it did last Fall. I would think JER would want to prove to Days and NBC that he still had it but he has been horrible and is actually validating their decision. I would hate to see it go but seeing it like it is now almost makes me wish it was cancelled because it is painful to see.
Members RionPassions
I don't want it cancelled because there's always hope that JER will turn it around. (There's always hope, guys). I think the guy just needs to get laid.
Members PhoenixRising05
Oh please Rion. Have you seen JER? His chances of getting laid aren't good (I have no clue if he is married but that would be his best bet). Yes, there is always hope but the only hope this show has is JER being taken out of power because he has no clue what to do. During the summer, he had the right formula but then he lost it again. He is too inconsistent now and he just recycles things. He is way too concerned with shock and awe and not about story and quality. It doesn't even seem like he plans long term anymore and just goes with what ever he feels likes. He knows what the fans want and expects them to keep watching but they won't anymore. Some things have dragged out so long that no one even cares anymore and all the emotional reaction the payoffs would've got is not there because it too far too long to get there. Passions targets youth and the youth like fast-paced stories and Passions does not give that. Hell, no one wants the slow-ass pace Passions moves out. The summer had a nice pace to it but now it's painful. The rape, violence towards women, drugs, porn, cutting, and so on is way too much. The show has been in trouble for a long time and JER's writing suggests he doesn't even care. If he did, he would give fans payoffs and create an entertaining hour of television all around while also creating new stories. Instead, we get a show that is a shell of itself and that is doing nothing but pissing off fans and filling a time slot.
Members RionPassions
I think JER is gay. He's a bear in search of a cub.
Members Mason
PASSIONS is no longer worth watching anymore. Honestly, the only reason I'm still watching is out of loyalty and nothing more. I'm just waiting for that one thing (which I'm sure I'll be getting soon enough) that is enough to make me finally drop PSNS. If JER wants to alienate fans (and right now, he's not doing anything to make me think otherwise), then he's getting his wish, and the dwindling ratings and general fan discontent are proving that. PSNS has so much potential, but JER just ignores it for his own special brand of crap.

Members px780
I don't think Passions even has the potential anymore. One too many "gotcha!" false reveals (almost makes me long for the fantasy false reveals) and there's nothing there to trust in, nothing to tap to turn the show around. Members Mason
I think there could still be potential if JER is replaced, but considering that's never gonna happen, I'd have to agree.
Members daysfan
JER just seems like he uses Passions a toy, it just is like he doesn't care about the show anymore. With Days when the ratings went down in 2004 he at least did something about it (even though it was the wrong solution). Almost, it seems like he uses it to just torture people.
