nass, thank you very much for that well though out and impeccably written critique. Thanks for proving that yes, JER is brilliant with this particular story, and that the undoing of Sheridan Crane is a GOOD thing that is completely natural based on recent events. :)

Thanks for the compliment. :)

That's all fine and dandy, but why is this hitting years slash six months later? She's doing it because of jealousy not because of her being kept in a pit in 2003.

Her character has gone nutzo overnight. And there's no reasoning it away.

McKenzie claims that Sheridan is NOT crazy, just malicious. I don't consider Julian, Gwen, Rebecca, or Ivy crazy, for instance. They just hurt others to get their own ways.

After she got out of the pit, Sheridan was acting a bit unstable. Remember she heard a baby crying, so she dove into the bathtub water and almost drowned. However, she had the support of Luis and even Antonio, to a lesser extent.

In real life, people's personalities change/evolve, too, due to circumstances. Losing Luis and being overcome with jealousy may just be Sheridan's 'nasty' trigger.

Thank you AGAIN, nass, for speaking the truth! The truth is, Sheridan's never been in this place before. EVER. Knowing her soulmate is out there but also knowing she'll never be with him. And have to watch her niece with him, knowing their having that HOT sex she always enjoyed with Luis. Knowing he has Fancy's heart. Knowing she has to 'settle' for Lame Chris and even lamer James, her answer to Marty. She SHOULD be malicious. A life without love, when that has ALWAYS BEEN HER CHARACTER'S MOST DESIRED TRAIT, would make someone bitter and turn jaded and cold.

Bottom line? Frumy, goody-goody Sheridan is a BORE. Mean Sheridan is going to be a hit. Even if it didn't make sense -- and it does -- and even if it was character destruction -- and it's not -- it's a smart move.

I'm going to have to disagree with the article and stand by the fact that I do think it is a tumor, Alistair-induced, or a double.
