Not one show looks like it did 20 years ago, even 10 years ago. You have to ride the wave of the times if you want to stay on the air. It is not fair to GL then or now to compare the two. For what GL was then, it was great. For what it is now and what it has to work with and the highly competitive times with cable and other forms of entertainment, GL is doing remarkably well. And for having the most screwed up timeslot of all shows.....they are doing fantastic. You might not like what you see, but that in no way means the show sucks. If you let a stand alone epi of GL go against a stand alone epi of other shows, GL will win a lot of the time, IMO, which is why it does so well at the Emmy's!
