Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie have buried the hatchet.

Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie are reunited. And the producer of The Simple Life says it feels so good.

After a year-long public feud that nearly killed the reality show that made them famous, Hilton and Richie have agreed to film a fifth chapter of The Simple Life together, executive producer Jon Murray said.

"The thing the viewers love is the two girls together," he said. "America, Paris and Nicole are going to camp."

The 25-year-old celebutantes will be camp counsellors in the newest Simple Life adventure, which is set to begin production next month, Murray said. The show will air on E! next spring, he said.

The show will delve into "what led to the breakdown in the friendship and maybe some of the misunderstandings and things that got in the way", he said.

At the height of their feud during the last Simple Life outing, Hilton and Richie filmed their parts separately.

Murray was going to put the two on a "deserted island with a bunch of survivalists" for the next season when they agreed to appear side-by-side in the show.

"They reached out to each other in universal disdain for the island concept," he said, "and rekindled their friendship."

The two went public with their seemingly reconciled relationship on Sunday, arriving together at Dan Tana's Steakhouse in Los Angeles.

After dinner, they text-messaged while waiting for their car on a bench in front of the restaurant.

At one point, they looked at each other and smiled when an unseen observer said, "I always knew you'd be friends again, Paris."

I think this whole "fight" was a huge fake just for this exact press grabbing moment. Oh well, they were fun together on The Simple Life.

I also think that this was publicity to keep both names on the tips of everyone's tongues.

It doesn't mean much to me that they are friends; it didn't even mean much to me that they weren't friends.

I pretty much figured when they talked about how Paris and Nicole were seen by others talking to each other on the phone, that there would be a story saying they have 'kissed and made up."

    • And sadly I think that’s the trivia Both Jeanne Cooper and Eric Braeden went with for years and years. Lol
    • But people were hating so bad on amc and the final year and the ratings sucked. Business wise they made the right call. Oltl who even gained some ratings back and weren’t they higher as GH at one point is a decision and never understood.
    • Ann Williams was the first Maggie Powers on The Doctors but left to have a baby. Maggie was successfully recast so Ann picked up the role of Eunice (Jo's sister on Search for Tomorrow) and played that role for 10 years before being killed of in 1976. That led to her role of Margo on EON.
    • Looking at those totals it seems most contract actors are on a 1 or 2 week average guarantee. I assume contracts are still operating on 13 week cycles so you would have to know the particular actors contract starting date to work out their guarantee. The question remains as to what actors listed as contract are actually recurring? Bryton ?
    • Yep, that scene was at the conclusion of the Derek Thurston vs George Packard storyline, when Kay decided neither of them should run Chancellor.  By the time she put Victor in charge, Victor had been on the show for months & months with his Rolls Royce, his ranch, and Newman Enterprises.  SONY released some Y&R "trivia cards" in the late 1980s, and one of the questions was "who brought Victor Newman to Genoa City?" The answer on the back of the card is "Kay Thurston, to run Chancellor Industries", and it's a wrong answer lol.
    • I think someone said it did exist, but I can't remember.
    • The bit with the scarf reminds me of the fabled stuffed animal scene with Rick and Phillip. (That wasn't debunked, was it?)
    • Ohh, interesting. I instantly gravitated towards her in that episode. Of course I'm already hooked and want to know why she was trying to poison that older lady, but then how did the older lady know to switch the mugs so Susan drank her own poison...  but I have too many timelines I'm watching right now haha.  Oh, Bolger is definitely hot. I didn't realize he was on GL haha. I knew him from OLTL and other primetime stuff.
    • This is a effin shame. Eff Trump and eff the bastards that enable him.
