Administrator Toups Posted September 27, 2006 Administrator Share Posted September 27, 2006 AL EAST: Yankees AL WEST: A's AL CENTRAL/WILD: Tigers or Twins NL EAST: Mets NL WEST: Padres or Dodgers NL CENTRAL: Cardinals or Astros NL WILD: Philies or Dodgers Hey Roman, what's that sound?........Oh it's the sound of the STL choking. In the AL, I'm going for the A's and Twins. In the NL, I'm going for the Mets and Dodgers.
Members KBT
Toups, I know its a simple mistake since the Tigers never make the playoffs, but the Lions are in the NFL. I am a huge Blue Jays fan, so I am disappointed the Jays didnt make it but they have a chance to hurt both teams fighting for home field advantage throughout the playoffs(Detroit and NY Yankees) since they play both this week to end the season. Plus Toronto has a chance in finishing 2nd which would be the first time in at least 8 years. I am pulling for the A's and Twins in the AL and in the NL I am pulling for the Dodgers and Phillies assuming they both make it into the playoffs. I do think the Yankees will win it all though, if they don't it would be a huge disappointment with all that talent in their lineup.
Administrator Toups Posted September 28, 2006 Author Administrator Share Posted September 28, 2006 LOL at the mistakes. I edited it. Hopefully next season the Jays will do better, Kirk. They have a good mix of vets and young players. Plus, we're gonna get a bigger payroll next season. I don't want the Yankees to win, but I think they'll win it. They have a modern day Murderer's Row! 1. Damon 2. Jeter 3. Abreu 4. Rodriguez 5. Giambi 6. Sheffield 7. Matsui 8. Posada 9. Cano I mean, WTF!!!?? You cannot pitch around that!! With Wang, Johnson and Musina (if the Unit and Moose can stay healthy), they have a got it. Their bull pen is tight with Proctor and Farnsworth and of course Rivera. It's their year. Members darraholic
Meh I only follow the Bluejays. I won't be watching the Postseason. But Go anyone but the Yankees!!!
Members PhoenixRising05
GO YANKEES!! This is the best team since the great 90's teams. It is definitely our deepest and I love seeing some youth being infused. The lineup is sick and our pitching has improved. There is no reason why the Yanks shouldn't win this thing unless their bats go quiet again like 2004 and 2005.
Members kelli_blue
Hoping the Tigers make it to the finals....it's been a while for my favorite team. Go Tigers!!!
Members KBT
Even if AChoke(Arod) has a bad postseason again the lineup this year can make up for it, unlike the last 2 years. Seriously, how can you pitch around that lineup!? With 4 games to go the Blue Jays are in front of the BoSox a 1/2 a game, go Jays!
Members PhoenixRising05
Yeah Kirk-I am rooting for the Blue Jays to take 2nd. Toronto is also increasing payroll again next year so you may have some more help on the way .
