All the space battle and outer space scenes have been redone using 2006 SFX. All new battle scenes that have been put in place of the original battles and planets. It is supposed to premiere on CBS in September.

HD syndication actually ... but I'm still very excited. They're not changing what TOS is, it's being led by Michael Okuda who's been with Trek since TNG. They're preserving the original looks of the ships, stations, etc. The art style remains, but will look a whole lot better. No new scenes ... no changing who shot who first. Just updated phasers, ships, backdrops, and a HD transfer from the original film. Can't wait to download these!

No. Regular syndication, actually. It comes on ABC at 2;30am here in St. Louis this Sunday morning.
