  1. The polls show Cain staying with Romney, even though Romney has now gained 5 points over him. Many who support Cain really don't care. Which says something about me when it comes to how much some of his supporters blame the women for what happen. As far as OWS and the other movements throughout the country, hell, right on if they can keep it going. The same thing happened with the civil rights movement. Sometimes people get so damn fed up that they feel they have to beat the streets and shout to the heavens about how they are being treated in their own country. The inequality is worse now than probably at any time in our nation's history. All these charletons we have sent to our Congresses better take heed.....we are mad as hell, and we're not going to take it anymore. Love Network. One of my all-time favorite films.
  2. Well, even though I understand what you mean, Brian, liberal, conservative....no matter what, I find her an ambulance chaser against the rich and powerful. Now, if you decided to do whatever foul crap you are doing, then don't be surprised when your dirt comes out now. Cain deserves what he's going through, and now, there may be women coming out of the woodwork because of the way he handles himself. It's never what you do.... It's always the cover-up.
  3. Money can be that circumstance. But, seeing this man act like he is could be motivation enough. Although, when Alred attaches herself to someone, it's nothing about anything else but dollar signs. She just so happens to be right on some occasions (Schwarzenegger).
  4. Cain, along with the entire GOP candidate list, IMO, don't mind making fools out of themselves. I remember a few Dems who did it as well, but off the top of my head, I can't remember the last time a Democratic candidate was pushed by the CNM having so many flaws as these people do. Cain is the black Clinton. And even though he lied under oath (which I feel he should have never done), Cain seems to think in his arrogance that he will fore peole to stop talking about it. And the ultra-right wing of the party is continuing to show where they are on race. It's no where close to where the majority of Americans (I assume) are at.
  5. Which to this day i do not understand. I liked the guy who ran against Bush in the 2000 primaries. That was a common sense man there. I was even considering voting for him because that man then had the backbone to question his own party, something you barely see now. And then, he must have been told or decided on his own to turn hard right and turn off many Americans who liked him for his convictions. I still feel that had he stayed the man he was, he would have beaten Obama. But, I saw in 2008 like I see now.....this man is no where close to his old self, and he just scared the hell out of me.
  6. I still wonder why all this state and federal money was spent to build all of these Supermax prisons nationwide and the populations are not near full capacity. I also agree with the non-violent crimes. Our prison system is populated with non-violent offenders, to me, that is something that should be ended. It proves every day that that is nothing but a business. The big wigs make a ton of money based on the prison population, and I feel they are in league with the pols and such to make sure these jails and prisons are full to overcrowded.

If he talks transparency, then step up to the plate. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/11/04/republicans-defense-cuts-job-creation-spending_n_1076010.html?ref=politics
  8. I'll say this, Alpha. I think moderate conservatives are against that. But, that party has been hijacked by the ultra-right. The Limbaugh-Coulter-O'Reilly-Fox News wing of the party. I would love to see moderate Republicans take back hold of the party, so we can truly have some bi-partisan legislation being past. You see how it's already started...Boehner made some comment about Norquist. They are doing the same thin they have done in the past...backing away from all their previous stances. If we can get some common sense Republicans in there, who really do want to work with this POTUS on behalf on the people, every one wins. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/11/04/larry-taylor-jew-them-down-insurance-company_n_1076482.html
  9. THANK YOU! I can see everyone else in this forum acting like an adult, but you. NOBODY HERE should have to explain something to you all the time. Then, hell, you flip-flop more than a dying fish in a boat with how you post your comments. I've seen others here make a real effort to change the garbage we all were a part of 3 years ago...except you. You can have whatever views yuou have (too bad i never figured out what they were), and the rest of us will talk grown up talk. Have a blessed day, Max. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/11/03/bofa-foreclosure-missing-1-already-sold-home_n_1074538.html Wasn't this the same WS that Cain told us not to blame for our ills? Sorry, I guess he has other things on his mind right now. LOL!
  10. Thank you! That is what doing some research is all about! Bless you, because I honestly didn't know. Also, Brian, Lee was allergic to a chemical in the OTC pill called equagesic [sic] and that is what caused his death. Sorry. I didn't include that. I do not and will not agree that all illegal drugs should be legalized, but I still don't understand why marijuana cannot, since it is the only herbal drug (to my knowledge) that is used for medical purposes. And yes, if taxed, could be a serious boon for our economy.
  11. Well, allot may be former students, many are hippies from the 60s, and many more are unemployed. My guess. Shoot i don't know all these people. Hell, I don't know even one. LOL! Just guessing. But I still see your point. As for the marijuana....just like any other social service plan, we will have those who just want to use it for very selfish reasons, like just getting blasted to the far winds. Lot of bong heads who just want free marijuana. That's why I'm seeing that it should be in prescription form, from a certified doctor. It will not mean that people won't be able to get around it. Nothing is perfect, but it'll be a start.
  12. Dull? Boring? YOU? Please. I thought you were talking about me. LOL! I agree with you about a weed 'pill', but i also think that unless the legal drug industry can get their hands on something like this and make a significant monetary windfall, it won't happen. Remember when W. outlawed going to Canada or internationally to get prescriptions drugs for a much cheaper price? IMO, he did it for no other reason than helping his cronies in the industry achieve record profits, which they did. I still remember reading about Bruce Lee. When he dies, the autopsy showed he had canibus is his system. he suffered from severe migraine headaches, brought on by his rigorous training. He had lost so much weight and had so little body fat (if any) that it caused his MHs. The ONLY thing that brought him any comfort was marijuana. But, the over-the-counter pill he took the night he died swelled his brain, and it pressed so hard against his skull that it led to his death. Amazing, isn't it? the marijuana helped relieve his pain, but the OTC pill took his life. I feel that any state Congress would legalize a goat sitting on the top on a counter at a McDonald's if they could get some type of tax money from it. I also never understood how just smoking weed can relieve some of the painful symptoms that many people get. I feel there are and have been cures to many diseases that ail us all, but as long as the pharmaceutical companies are making their billions, we will NEVER see the light of day with these drugs. Brian, maybe you all in the great Cali. need to peacefully go and do a sit-in in Sacramento. maybe if they heard you all, all walks of life, they will listen. There are many here in Mo. and Ill. who have planned to do that very thing.
  13. Tell you what, max. When you elaborate why McCaskill is not liberal enough (your words) then I'll tell you why Most Missourians can't stand (not being available for her constituents, never being the state, the private plane fiasco, voting against the cash-back car legislation 2 years ago, no transparency at all). Oh, sorry. I just listed the reasons. Now, if they are not to your liking, I am sorry, and cannot and WILL not do anything about that. But I am starting to realize that talking politics with you is not a positive experience. you see others in this forum talking politics with some candor and respect. Not saying that you don't, but you seem to calling people out on almost every comment, like they should always explain themselves to you. I'm now at the point where i will no longer do that with you, max. I believe what i believe. If a case can be made to me, or I to others, for others to t least understand where each of us is coming from (while still seeing things differently), i welcome that. | But i will not come on here every single time to explain myself to you. Sorry, Max. That day, along with the days of me acting like an immature idiot towards anyone who disagrees with me, are done. Over and out. I hope you can see what I'm saying. I truly hope this.
  14. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/11/03/jobless-protesters-occupy_n_1074182.html
  15. Brian, I didn't realize they were that bad in your state. And I thought our Congress here in Mo. was full with nothing but partisan zombies who only know what they want pushes through instead of what is best for the people of the state. Also, how do you feel about Cali. legalizing weed?
  16. WB used to be, in my eyes, and fine journalist. I don't know what happened, but he sure does let pols slide when it comes to certain statements and words spoken. It disappoints me. Bt, CNN has been looking for a path now for the last 4 years. Their higher ups don't seem to know which way they want to go, and trying to be all things doesn't seem to be working. But, when you hire a complete azz like Eric Erikson.....there is no wonder, for me at least, why I no longer watch that channel. Thanks, Scotty. I knew that name was familiar. LOL!
  17. No Max, don't apologize. Your comment just showed to me, with respect, that you did jump and you honesty have no idea about how we here IN MISSOURI feel about her. And, sometimes, liberal or conservative doesn't even enter into the equation. I guess it does for you, but it doesn't for me. We here. IN MISSOURI, feel she is a very bad senator. Ok? We want her voted out. That's how WE feel. So, maybe in the future, my friend, you could kinda work on jumping to conclusion and just, maybe, ask those of us who live in the state how we may feel first before just assuming what the reason may be about why i or anyone else may or may not particularly like a certain pol. So no primary challenge at all? Whew. Well, you can't change the mind of someone who doesn't want to have it changed, I guess. LOL! Why does that name Trey Grayson sound familiar?
  18. TOOuche', Scotty. Are they running any primary challengers against either man?
  19. Scotty, you honestly can't help it. hell we have Roy Blunt AND Claire McCaskill from the great state of Missouri.
  20. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/11/01/rand-paul-bike-lane-transportation_n_1070341.html Sorry, but this is truly stupid. I mean, of the highest order.
  21. I KNEW IT!!! He rails against racism, saying that he never saw any.....AN D NOW THE JERK COMES OUT SAYING RACE HAD SOMETHING TO DO WITH IT!! WASN'T HE PROUDLY SITTING IN THE BACK OF THE BUS?!?! http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/11/01/herman-cain-accusations-race_n_1070564.html?ncid=edlinkusaolp00000009
  22. Romney is just so bad that they are flocking to these people who cannot possibly win a general election with how many people they have turned off.
  23. You know, I can't take a break. I love talking politics. But this mess is something I am not getting into anymore. I did that 3 years ago, and am really ashamed of how I acted back then. So, on with the circus! http://redsfan.newsvine.com/_news/2011/10/19/8402883-south-carolina-gop-operative-admits-suppressing-black-vote-is-goal-of-voterid-law Did I see Cain singing at a press conference today? I don't know if the charges are true or not, but the way he has handled the response does not help him right now. He and his team better get their heads on the same page and try their best to got out in front of this thing.
  24. http://politic365.com/2011/10/20/silencing-south-carolina-voters/. I am now going to talk politics with anyone else whop wants to talk politics. This response of your Max is exactly the reason why i did not want to start posting in this forum again. I responded to your comment, and I responded in a respectful manner. I personally, IMO, cannot say the same about you my friend. I'll just take a little break, like others have, and maybe when things calm down a bit, I'll come back so we can talk about politics once again. I really hope that will be soon. |
  25. Well, I'm just proud that you know how people in one party or the other acts and how they determine how to fall on certain issues. I wish I had that power, my friend. LOL! Also, and this is just me, but if we are to be honest about this, ALL of these politicians say one thing and do another. Now, I personally can't remember the last time a Senate Minority Leader spoke and said that the chief goal of the RP is to make the current POTUS one term. Not jobs, mind you. Not social issues, such as defunding PP, or signing a pledge not to raise taxes (on the top 1%), or suppressing the vote in the southern states, Or not wanting to work with this POTUS on any issue (when first being for it before this POTUS said he agreed and then going against it). This list goes on and on. Now, i have and will continue to call out POLITICIANS. I don't care what party they are from. But if there is fairness when politics are discussed in this forum, then why is it that it's always one side or the other. Both parties are involved in this mess that THEY have gotten us into. My biggest hope is that the voter realizes who has been on their side and who has been taking care of the richest or the rich (and where are the jobs with the $2 trillion they all are sitting on?) and vote in their best interests, instead of believing whatever is being pushed on CNM.
