  1. As a European man who grew up in Italy, I never had the chance to watch AW - although it aired in the country for a few years but it was never big. However around 2008, P&G released a few years worth of episodes on its streaming service. I started watching and I was hooked. The way the show was written and staged, it was like the best NYC theatre you could ask for. I still watch random episodes every now and then and I'm mesmerised. The actors had it all. Sometimes I wonder how many takes they would require to nail a scene because every scene seemed perfectly flawless from every point of view. Staging, blocking, dialogue. It was top notch. My biggest mistake was taking for granted that P&G streaming service. I wish I had downloaded every single episode. Oh well. Youtube makes up for most of them anyway. I'm hoping the actors read the boards occasionally and realize their work is still being acknowledged.

    He IS Batman! ❤️
  3. You have such an ear for these things! I love how you placed the cues. Keep it coming! PS. woah those scenes were so... lifeless and dull. They all felt like fillers. No wonder soaps are dying.
  4. So amazing! You did a great job there! Where did you get the soundtrack clean version?
  5. God, in my next life I want to be as suave as Eileen Davidson.
  6. Stakes. Melodrama. Glamour. I had forgotten how much I enjoyed the show back then. Thanks.
  7. He did start the decline. He relied on stunts all the time. He was not a talented writer IMHO but at least the show still felt like Y&R.
  8. Saved them right away! 1999-2001 is my favorite era of the show. I think that's when Y&R perfected its formula.
  9. That was my favorite part of the show. You would never see Victor hanging out at Crimson Lights (albeit to visit his family). You would never see random people sitting in Victor's office chair etc. I miss that.
  10. I think Malcolm debuted in the very same way... through a phone call!
  11. I remember that! She did not interact with VR though, right?
  12. And they're not streaming, right?
  13. Wow! I'd love to see this. Isn't it bizzarre that in a short space of time Jill had to interact with two different, good-looking male characters both named Brad?
  14. Amazing work! I loved it. Kudos to you!
  15. I'm pretty sure it was Cane's introduction. I wasn't watching anymore though.
  16. Haha! Exactly. No more 'Love fever' Uhm they actually aired one episode a day. Which had become quite rare for US soaps in Italy. Italian networks usually cut episodes halfway or add another portion off the next episode just because they see soaps as fillers for their line-ups. I was so sad to see the show go, but considering what it had become it was no huge loss.
  17. Nothing. The show got canceled in 2007 in Italy lol
  18. I don't have KMK's episodes on tape but I do remember her. She had no spark whatsoever as Drucilla...
  19. I agree! I guess TPTB thought she was too old to play the mother of a 29 year-old...
