  1. Robin delivered that flawlessly. Ha, Dorian and Jessica in their pith helmets... "Dr. Livingstone, I presume?"
  2. Rhymes with Doreen or Dorian?
  3. I've wondered if people commented on the resemblance between Robin and Elaine before Elaine was cast. I like Elaine's Dorian and I'm glad that she had a chance at the part, but maybe casting her as Melinda in the first place would have been a better idea? I don't know, there's no way to predict these things. Dorian is obviously the stronger choice for a character on the canvas, but when Robin eventually returned, that could have been an interesting dynamic (and Elaine wouldn't have had to be fired). I'm thinking more in tune with what I've read and what I picture of Jane Badler's Melinda with Elaine in the role.
  4. I agree that showing a photo i.d. should not be considered a burden. I've seen upper middle class white men get the business for not having i.d. on them, and you need one if you don't have a driver's license. You can't buy liquor, cigarettes, let alone cough medicine without an i.d. in this day and age. I can't walk into certain buildings in New York and D.C. without my i.d. And frankly, how does one even register to vote without photo i.d. in the first place?

  6. Thanks for the explanation. I wonder how many scripts are still archived, if not old episodes.
  7. I always feel sorry for poor Russ when I watch this. So, briefly, how exactly did Rachel and Russ break up and how did she end up with Ted Clark and then Steve?
  8. Thanks Khan, no I think this is the first time these clips have made it online. I have the dvd with these scenes. I just love the faces Robin Strasser makes at the table, her hooks budding. History in the making.
  9. WoST Brian interviewed Sharon which was a great listen. She said it was a little disappointing that she didn't get to work with Robin as her sister because that could have been real dynamite. I was surprised to read that Melinda wasn't really a Dorian place holder though, she wasn't as troubled and vixenish as previous incarnations of Melinda.
  10. R.I.P. Back in the WoST days, there was a great effort to find her and her fans discovered she was still living in midtown Manhattan. I thought of her whenever I passed by her building on my way to my friend's place.
  11. I LOVE the ACG&S theme, especially when the drum drops the beat towards the end! That's a series I've been wanting to get on dvd, I used to watch it Saturday afternoons on WETA. Newhart is similarly lovely, both very bucolic settings. I think The Jeffersons just might be the greatest sitcom theme song of all time. It perfectly describes the show, has great vocals (Ja'net "Willona Woods" DuBois), and appeals to my gospel sensibilities. Another favorite is Too Close for Comfort. When I hear that theme, all is right with the world.
  12. I love it! Is that Brooke or Erica with her hair up?
  13. Don't judge! Maybe she handled it like my family. "We're gonna go visit grandma at *school*..."
  14. What a Jr. high dance pose. I'm remembering when Rudolph was on Live! with Regis and Kathie Lee and announced he was leaving AMC. Seems like such a foreign time when soap stars who weren't Lucci made regular appearances on talk shows.
  15. LOL! Myself included..
  16. Same with Dr. Anna Tolan.

  18. "... I like elevators." I know that lady in the leoprint was ready to snatch her!
  19. I like her curly hair like in the Nick clips above and in that SoapNet promo where it's kind of wet and she's wearing the red dress. Yeah, I don't like it when it's super teased out damn near afro curly like she sometimes had it in the '80s. Speaking of fros (Jew), I used to think she was Jewish when I was a kid. I didn't make the Lucci-Italian-Catholic link as an older person would.
  20. My favorite pictures of her in her twenties are from that article Carl posted of her at home in her apartment in Queens, where she's on the phone, at the piano, et cetera. So sexy and stunning: Did Honey Boo Boo Child really say, "...on your ass"??
  21. I did! Thanks! I set cable reminders.
  22. It's not even the age thing so much with me, daddy issues Erica, it's to be expected. But a young girl dating her mother's close male friend is just... not right. I wasn't born when all of this was going down, but I wondered if there were levels of Mona's jealousy, i.e., she wanted ol' Nick for herself.
  23. Sad to read all of the names in the credits who are no longer with us. Geesh, this was when we still had the first Terrence and An Li. Resident hair expert Cheap, are you a fan of curly Lucci as I am? But they did sleep together.
