Oh man, I saw that months ago and she took it to church like only Aretha can do. I was dying at the "I Will Hunt You Down!! " part. Speaking of which, have you seen the version by that little boy who is *just as sweet as he can be* as the elders around my way would say? Oh, and there's a YouTube clip where Mariah does an Aretha impression that's pretty cute. Shoot, let me stop typing and start linking... <object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube-nocookie.com/v/xYvZOLjr_og?fs=1&amp;hl=en_US&amp;color1=0xcc2550&amp;color2=0xe87a9f"></param><param'>http://www.youtube-nocookie.com/v/xYvZOLjr_og?fs=1&amp;hl=en_US&amp;color1=0xcc2550&amp;color2=0xe87a9f"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube-nocookie.com/v/xYvZOLjr_og?fs=1&amp;hl=en_US&amp;color1=0xcc2550&amp;color2=0xe87a9f" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object> "Secret ren-a-doos..." My favorite comment is, "Boy, where is your mom?" And if he shakes that hair ONE more time... I know he's just a kid, but don't you hate it when people make singing videos and preface it with, "I'm really tired/I have a bit of a cold"? Wellll, why don't you WAIT until you wake the eff up/feel better to make the daggone thing?? 7. I thought the D.C. finale was actually pretty good. I didn't follow the Salahi mess in real time so having "gotten to know them a little" it was more interesting watching it play out. See, I thought they got the show BECAUSE they'd crashed the WH, I didn't realize that happened while they were already taping!
  8. That picture of the Spauldings pretty much says it all.
  9. I don't know what it is about JK, but she has always bugged the hell outta me. She and Marilu Henner. Just annoying.
  10. Oh. My. God. Mr. Fuji and The Magnificent Muraco, I haven't thought of those names in years! Wow, what a flashback. Look at Lisa hammin' it up...

  12. I was never a big AW viewer, but on a superficial level, I am more taken by Cali T. as Paulina. She really looks like a lithe yet scrappy, gorgeous blonde princess that could be Mac's daughter and Iris' sister. Something about JE is a little more... "middle class" let's say.
  13. I knew about Sydney's PH (actually, to be accurate, it was Tracy's PH at that point, they'd even redecorated it for Tracy like a month before the show went off the air) becoming The View's original set (even the dining room chairs) but I never read anything about the Alden mansion being the skeleton of that set, which makes total sense. The Alden mansion was a very nice, expensive set with an upper level so I can see how they pulled that one off. But beyond having an upper level, there was a MAJOR overhaul. I wish!
  14. It's definitely out there, I saw it on WoST a few years back. Perhaps you want to check with the person who created this site: http://lovingpilot.tripod.com/actone.htm (oh, and click the headings in blue for pictures)

  18. They definitely could have used at least one more year. Tracy was *just* starting to get things rolling, she's that bulldozer type of woman that folks associate with a strong New York broad. It kind of pisses me off in hindsight how they were so quick to ditch it and try something else that ultimately failed, especially looking at the current landscape of daytime.

    I liked the Bridge over Troubled Water number (you betta wear dat crown gay boy whose name I forget at the moment!) though I still prefer the inspiration piece: <object width="500" height="405"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube-nocookie.com/v/4Cw1gHyC-Qg?fs=1&amp;hl=en_US&amp;rel=0&amp;color1=0x5d1719&amp;color2=0xcd311b&amp;border=1"></param><param'>http://www.youtube-nocookie.com/v/4Cw1gHyC-Qg?fs=1&amp;hl=en_US&amp;rel=0&amp;color1=0x5d1719&amp;color2=0xcd311b&amp;border=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube-nocookie.com/v/4Cw1gHyC-Qg?fs=1&amp;hl=en_US&amp;rel=0&amp;color1=0x5d1719&amp;color2=0xcd311b&amp;border=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="500" height="405"></embed></object> Which was of course inspired by: <object width="500" height="405"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube-nocookie.com/v/_DBl5gAs6WI?fs=1&amp;hl=en_US&amp;rel=0&amp;color1=0x5d1719&amp;color2=0xcd311b&amp;border=1"></param><param'>http://www.youtube-nocookie.com/v/_DBl5gAs6WI?fs=1&amp;hl=en_US&amp;rel=0&amp;color1=0x5d1719&amp;color2=0xcd311b&amp;border=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube-nocookie.com/v/_DBl5gAs6WI?fs=1&amp;hl=en_US&amp;rel=0&amp;color1=0x5d1719&amp;color2=0xcd311b&amp;border=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="500" height="405"></embed></object>
  20. Totally. Not to completely romanticize TC or anything, it had its faults. Well, it always *looked* great, but it could be a little slow, like, if someone asked me, "What happened today?" I'd probably be like, "Ummmm, hmm, I dunno, a litle bit of this, a little bit of that... Angie and that little girl, Tess was pissed about something..."
  21. Yeah, the quality really varied. Like, I had all of the new OLTL bumpers and such when they debuted the new "blue" opening, and those were pretty crystal clear, but the Peabo openings were so grainy and pixelated. I really wish I still had those Morgan Fairchild/Darnell Williams promos, and the one with the little old delivery guy giving the rundown on everyone in the building.
  22. The City had great TV promos, damn, I was so excited. I actually had a couple of them downloaded from AOL's ABC site back in the day, long gone now. This of course was LONG before YouTube and wireless connections when you waited an hour to download OLTL's birds flying opening credits.
  23. I really liked what Carmen Duncan had to say.
  24. Bo Hopkins also got an "and starring", but notice Joan never did. I think John and Linda would have had a problem with that.
