  4. A black American woman at RADA in the '60s, I am so incrediby impressed by that and the work she went on to do at Arena Stage. She seems younger, but I can't help but wonder if she and Erika Slezak and/or Pamela Payton-Wright were at RADA around the same time. What a great article, so nice to learn more about her. I wonder if they're still together.
  5. Thank you, and no offense taken at all my friend. Wait, she played the crabby nosy old neighbor in The Women of Brewster Place, right? Wow, I Googled her a couple of years back, I was really taken by her when I saw her on Oprah looking sleek and beautiful out of the old age makeup and I wondered what happened to her (kind of like Margaret Avery). I figured she must have been a theatre actress, like a young Gloria Foster, because I don't recall her having a lot of TV/film credits. Please post, I'd be interested in reading.
  6. It certainly is, I lost my mom in her early 50s. I'm not familiar with the actress, I Googled and the IMDb page popped up with her other name. I agree, I was fully prepared to hear that the show ran for like 13 episodes. Would love to see it. I wonder if it was daily, weekly...?

  8. Never heard of this, but oh my God, I totally would have watched it. Produced in my neck of the woods, a fine cast of black theatre actors, airing on PBS like Degrassi did in the '80s/'90s, wow... This actually sounds like something WHUT (Howard University's channel in D.C.) would have rerun in the '80s, I guess it wouldn't hurt to see if they have it in their archives. When Googling, it only appears to pop up in obits of Howard Rollins.
  9. And there's Ione from "Another Life" as her maid.
  10. Interesting, I'd wondered what was the story behind her casting, if her agent had simply sent her out for that type-specific audition or what. I sat through BB for Beverlee on cable years back. A fan has uploaded just her scenes: <object width="640" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube-nocookie.com/v/-WoW3gjTMBw?fs=1&amp;hl=en_US&amp;rel=0&amp;color1=0x5d1719&amp;color2=0xcd311b"></param><param'>http://www.youtube-nocookie.com/v/-WoW3gjTMBw?fs=1&amp;hl=en_US&amp;rel=0&amp;color1=0x5d1719&amp;color2=0xcd311b"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube-nocookie.com/v/-WoW3gjTMBw?fs=1&amp;hl=en_US&amp;rel=0&amp;color1=0x5d1719&amp;color2=0xcd311b" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="640" height="385"></embed></object>

  18. Uhhh, I dunno but that looks real sketchy, especially seeing as how they've combined the soap with the MTV reality series of the same name. I wouldn't buy it, you're better off doing legal and legitimate tape trade.

  23. I don't think I've ever seen WGE smile like that, he's always seemed like Michael Easton before Michael Easton. "Another un-young resident of Genoa City..." I'm trying not to be bothered by the e at the end of Kay's name. For those of you who were around, what exactly did "paid companion" Jill do? How desperate and sad, I would be so embarrassed to put out such a job listing. Did they just like watch TV together, go to the mall together?
  24. Okay, did DAYS fans pan this because I actually think it's pretty neat. I liked the faux Will thing on AMC too. That and this are imo so much more interesting and creative than Y&R's doppelganger crap, two actors playing the same character is way more cool.
