She doesn't keep staying on the show. She comes back & is a guest again. If she were other, she would be either contract or recurring. It's just a category thing. Every time she leaves we have no idea when or if she will return. Some of us hope she does. Some of you hope she doesn't. Console yourself with the word temporary.

I thought of something that came out in the podcast that I meant to mention. It's just a statistic but it's interesting. Cady has won 3 Daytime Emmys - each for a different role, each from a different show & each from a different network. I saw her & loved her as Dixie and never saw the original. I saw her as Rosanna & also saw the original & preferred Cady to Yvonne. I saw Missy of course & Cady here & I'm very happy with Cady but I would be happy with Missy back, too. Haven't seen her Y&R character.

I would be willing to bet that Cady is determined to be there for them if they need her, as long as her schedule & theirs matches up & that's the case with everybody & the only reason any more for people to pursue contracts, it seems. I feel like I like all the parties involved & as long as they're each happy, it's not broken so why worry to fix it? I'm still on edge to find out what else is going to happen to Jennifer Rose this week!!

Oh, sure. It's not fair to blame her for not being Missy. But, just like any ordinary recast, which this sorta is, she's subject to people liking or disliking ... When she was on Digest podcast they were talking about how she has never originated a role, just stepped into 4 different ones. She knows what she has to do to try to fit & tries to do it. I was really pleased with Matt today. I meant to say that. He really rocked his anger with several very authentic seeming outbursts! About damned time he has been so mealy mouthed for months. I'm about to enroll him & Curtis Ashford into a misanthrophic club.

Now I was not bored. But,we must remember how much I hate Clyde! So I am in the gravy. Xander & Sarah were extra, unneeded. But I liked what Cady did. She literally cried through out the whole show. She never stopped. She never started. She just was constantly crying. I can imagine that IRL but have never seen it staged.

Well, good morning. It is 6:56 a.m. & I have just finished watching today's episode of Days of Our Lives. Today was a very satisfying episode. I predict people will enjoy. Began a little strangely. Gwen told Jack Jenn is using pills. Jack found an empty Rx bottle on the floor & no Jenn anywhere. Jenn was in the car, crying & driving & talking to Abigail, yes, Ghost Abigail is in the passenger seat, still not talking. Jennifer keeps looking at where she's bleeding, from where she was cut. I do not think they are safe with Jenn crying & driving. She is also saying over & over again that she WILL have justice & that THEY will be sorry. Cut to the cemetery. Somehow Clyde has overpowered Chad. No gun in sight. Clyde is choking Chad & holding him down on the ground & really strangling him. A shot rings out! Clyde falls to the side. We see EJ a few feet away holding a handgun outstretched in his hand. I feel like we can see smoke out the gun barrel but surely not. Now Clyde is making grunting noises. EJ begins to tell him about poetic justice. Clyde says, "Go to hell." EJ says "You first." Chad has recovered himself enough to begin to enjoy this. "I'm going to relish every second of this. You're going to feel everything Abigail felt when she was terrified she was dying." But, Abigail was with someone who loved her. You're not that lucky. Belle & Shawn are on the way to the cemetery since Shawn got a cop call that a shot had been heard. Rafe comes out of the cop shop & is on the phone when he sees a body on the ground in front of him. It's Gwen! She is bleeding from the head & out cold. He calls for ambulance. Clyde is squeaking & squealing that they have to get him some help, that they can't just let him die. Back at Alice's house, there's no sign of Jenn & Jack is calling her but she's not picking up. Julie says it's that she is grieving. Just that moment, Jenn walks into the living room. She seems to be crying all of the time! Also in a kind of a daze. Shawn & Belle make the cemetery & he calls for an ambulance. (I'm not sure Chad & EJ were going to make that call!) Belle names herself atty for EJ & Chad & recommends they say nothing. They're fine with that. Jenn begins to tell them that she has talked to Abigail. Then she corrects herself & says she imagined what she & Abigail would talk about & they decided to go check on what was holding up catching Clyde. Drove to the cop shop. Where's Clyde? Why haven't you caught him? He must pay. Jack says that first we have to deal with these & hold up the pill bottle. Across town they put the unconscious Gwen on a stretcher. Chad explains that Clyde did it but meant to kill Belle & Abby was just wrong place, wrong time. Clyde goes over his sorry story one more time. Wanted to make a business deal with EJ. Went inside to wait. Clyde at this point is angry at EJ, get this, because he told him not to tell anyone that he had threatened the whole DiMera family & then he overheard EJ telling Belle everything because she is his atty. His plan, the real plan, is "to find that loud mouth attorney & strangle her to death & let EJ find her that way & teach him to do as he's told." Weird motive for murder, to provide an illustration?!! Sheesh. So, Chad was so upset that Clyde was able to get the gun away from him & just kick it over to the side & begin to strangle Chad. EJ arrived & grabbed the gun & fired & saved Chad's life & hit Clyde! Rafe has concluded that Gwen was a hit & run. Tire marks, no braking seen. I think I've told enough of the day. Surely any appetite that is going to be whet is so by now. What a great day in the neighborhood!

I got behind on both DOOL & GH because I spent 2 weeks helping a friend with a popular Anne Heche group when everything went crazy. Unbelievable the creatures that came out of the woodwork with hate, trolling, conspiracy theories and bad dead jokes!! But, I'm caught up again & my volunteer help is no longer needed. Thnk goddess.

We were huge fans of MAD ABOUT YOU & always saw it. None of the other mentioned shows were on our list. Used to recite lines from MAD ABOUT YOU. But, they changed the show & we were gone. Just anecdotal, my experience. FWIW I pass it on.

I had never heard that before but that is meaningless. That Stephanie said it & you've never heard it, well that makes me wonder. No point though. I still stand cheering with a great loud Hooray that DOOL has the vast majority of their library! Onesies & Twosies don't count. But I always remember the urban myth of celery juice spilled on a tape & beware the acidity of celery juice! 🤣🤣

I don't know any scuttlbutt about KW. Wanna tell? Or wanna move on? And, yes, the pacing of the story, oy vey! I heard that things were derailed & chngd around but that now they're underway! But, really, why is Gregory on the show?! He has taken to lecturing so much & he always comes out of his lectures glowing like a rose, that I'm beginning to think he likes himself a lot & really looks down his nose at other people - even Portia! Of course a year ago he & Jordan were dealing with stuff and Portia & Jordan were friends. Now everything is different but the only thing that changed was a NuJordan. Whatya think? But my bet is he's going through a midlife crisis where he becomes a misanthrope! I like the actress & the character SO MUCH. Not enough to tolerate Cody Bell! I hope Carly doesn't eat any unwashed grapes or have to rely on the kindness of strangers!

I'm just glad to find Liz with people besides Finn. Although I do not pretend to understand Liz's story still. And I am still amazed that Kevin cancelled an appt. for her the other day. More I don't understand: Carly & Mrs. Benson & the cemetery. Why doesn't Carly just make arrangements to move the remains now? And the accent Linda Purl is using is driving me straight up the wall. But I'm very interested, just confused. And it's being a Southerner that throws me on accents. Not interested in Gregory or in Journalism Ethics 101/. I am with you on Curtis! You mean Britt leaving? I believe her contract is up in Nov., which seems to me to be a long time to know she is a kind of lame duck character.
