So, good morning, it's Friday, September 30, 2022, and we get to have the other A story today. That's right we've gone all week with no Doc, no Kayla, no Kate, no sniffles, no sneezes, no coughs & now we get to have them & it all. So, the cast of characters, Kayla, in bed at the hospital with symptoms & Stephanie & Steve; Marlena's in the hospital too but so sick we haven't even seen her as the prologue begins. John's been in the chapel praying & talking about whether the devil is engaged in these events or not. Kate is out of the hospital but in the bed with Roman tending to her. Early in her day Rex appears & he is intent on gathering medical records & coming up with a plan. Apparently we think Rex is brilliant enough for his task. We the gentle audience know that he is relating this to when Roman almost died & Stefano asked Rolf to save him, which he did. Kristen wants something from or of Rolf but he keeps putting her off because this other work is greater & more genius. The ISA is getting nowhere. Today they are repeating tests that were inconclusive yesterday. Rolf has this one orchid, in a potted plant, that is key to everything. Kristen just starts to yammer at any opportunity. All she wants is for Rolf to shrink Chloe's brain to the size of a pecan. He is only interested in saving lives. Kristen just cannot understand what happened yesterday. She was doing a fantastic job of representing herself so that she thought she'd win & then ... something shifted and she lost. Rolf's talking to Stefano even though he's not in the presence of the portrait. He's remembering Stefano introducing him as a brilliant researcher. He's admiring the orchid. He's trying to ignore Kristen. He, too, is going back in time to saving Roman's life & that Orpheus had introduced a toxin to his bloodstream & only this orchid could provide the anti-toxin. Stefan is taking to the portait. He had gone to Chloe that morning with flowers & gifts & champagne & OJ. Only he had remembered that today is Chloe's birthday & he has waxed euphoric about her, a Libra. In the past, Rolf had saved Roman's life & it is exactly that, that he relates to saving Salem's 3 ladies. From the orchid will come the anti-toxin, which will thwart Orpheus's plan. Stephanie has gotten on the phone & convinced Joey & Tripp not to fly to Salem, per Kayla's wishes. Now she takes over ice chips & neck rubs. It feels like a day when things are begun.

I figure that they could even go back to a 42 min. show instead of a 36 min. show if they want to unless they need to allow more ad time for Canada or something like that.

Today Peacocktv 'bubbled' the sound for the whole show, audio a real mess & I was trying to hear what words were said & how.

And we can't even say we always had Paris.

I heard, reliably, just last week that Liz's story had been changed multiple times but that now they are in the groove they want to be in & it will continue more straightforward, thank goodness, and FINALLY! (Of course you wouldn't have to hear anything to be able to deduce that!)

Good grief, I just read in an SID email that BLQ is going to be recast again, for one episode. Same actress stepping in.

I've been having this feeling for awhile now that this NuJordan isn't working out. Hope I'm wrong. Maybe things that have just gotten going will turn the tide.

I like Brady & Chloe, which was something of a surprise to me. Nadia is so beautiful I just enjoy being in her presence. (Except when Nicole is there to look bad in comparison.) And, Brady might as well be the one to enjoy Chloe. I sure don't like him with Kristen. Just because he scrunches his eyes up closed? He scrunches his whole face, not just his eyes. At any rate I don't mean it racist. I'll drop it from my repertoire. Okay, time to pull up the Big Girl Drawers. I can be patient.

I discovered today that he can't even smile right. Too much mouth. Whole face scrunched up. Eyes slits. And, he asked her to forgive him!!!! How do you spell chutzpah? He's got balls of steel.

I love all presents! I'm sure I will. I even love anticipation. As a baby boomer I'm supposed to think that instant gratification is too slow but I just do not conform to that.

Yes, I thought I recalled something recent. I was so pleased, even overwhelmed with Ghost Abby & Chad! Lovely dialog. Maybe Chad can even go on now. As I'm sure people remember, I love it when the twins bicker. I got a great big kick out of Allie's litany about what it is like to live with Vain Slob Boy in the apartment! It even reminded me of a real life event when my gf's brother was staying with us in a tiny apartment in Brooklyn. I still cannot believe that Carson ends his twitter bio with "World's greatest lover."

What's that Melanie Griffith/ Sigorney Weaver movie with the great Carly Simon song, "Working Girl"? That's what DOOL should aspire to with characters like Stephanie & Jada. EJ is on track now to see if he can get votes from Ava & Johnny now that he & Stefan have his back. I like this EJ so much. He literally has no standards. He could change his mind in any given afternoon!

I dunno. I think of the classist people as NOT taking the subway!

I love having my soaps available to me at 6 am & at 10 pm but Peacock was late this morning & Hulu was way later last night! I'm going to do better tolerating waiting.

I am sure that I am not impeded by this stuff because I wasn't watching the show right then. I have no trouble with Cady's diction & I specifically loved Abby's eulogy. I have always thought that the Hortons were upper middle class Episcopalians, where the Bradys were working class Roman Catholics. Reilly messed that up by trying to make everyone in town RC. Surely not worse retcons that John, Tony & Andre'! And, me, I thought Gwen was the worst kind of trouble from the get-go.

Anybody up & trying to watch today's show? I can't find it on Peacock. Blimey. Anybody having luck? Okay! Here it comes now, just loading late. Now, Thursday, Sept. 29, 2022, as I had hoped the Ghost of Abigail came again today only this day she talked. Finally Chad got to talk to the one person he most needed to. A lot of Abby & Chad. A lot of Stefan & EJ. A full measure of Shin. Throw in some Gabi & Ava who is pleased to know she's not going crazy. Stock shares are an item of the day. Johnny is accused of sitting around nearly naked, sweaty & smelly in tiny underwear, not looking for a place to live, not looking for a job, leaving dirty dishes everywhere, sum total being more trouble than baby Henry, ... I love it when the twins bicker .... Chanel doesn't mind him staying but she knows he needs to get things going for himself. Johnny packs his valise & heads on, running into Ava in Horton Square. Apparently she's missed him because she invites him back to the Salem Inn with her. Just then EJ arrives and he invites them BOTH back into the DiMera mansion. Not a sign of Gwen, Jenn, Jack, Julie, Doug, the m'ladies Kate, Marlena & Kayla who are with secret malady. Gosh what a funny way to tell stories. But, the day seemed to fly by.

I see moist, wetness but I also don't see obvious Botox use looking at her face over time. Could be, I guess. Personally I think she's doing great & Billy Flynn continues to do great & Matt was great today, again, for the first time in a long while. And, yesterday involved many people, which was good. I liked Cady with Suzanne last week & with SSH today. Good signs.
