  1. I just saw this. Carolyn Culliton told me back then in a tweet that Lorraine Broderick had retired. That's when she intimated that she & Richard might be thinking about it. Today was one of my random days to note all the full writing credits & see if there's been any change. Today Henry Newman was not listed. You probably already know that. Fri., 7-28 Henry Newman back, today's script writer BTW, when DAYS was presented with their WGA award by Susan Lucci, Jamey & Cheryl & Lorraine were there with Ron. So, even though she had retired, she got to go to one last award presentation & party. Nice! Those people were all in pix that were tweeted.
  2. Wednesday, July 26 - Nicole, terrible hair! (I'm going to start notating this!) Agree that both shirts were ugly. And, I do not understand why Steph wants to be friends with him. Loved Melinda Trask's trashing of Alex. Loved Nicole referring to Sloan as a tarantula. Gosh, I hope Dimitri is not thinking of making Gwen be celibate. Today is one of my random days I take note of the fulll writing credits & look to see if there's been any change. Today there was. Henry Newman was not listed today.
  3. Wow! I can't believe our good fortune. I never thought she'd come back for an extended stay. Fantastic news! I can't get enough of Tracy. Last night I got on here, after watching the show on Hulu, to talk about the show & got derailed by talk of Fi-Core & scabs & pickets. Mostly I just wanted to say 2 things. I'm very glad that Carly is going to be running Kelly's. That fits. I'm somewhat surprised they didn't go ahead & deal with Bobbie's death & have her leave it to Carly in her will. But, no matter. And, I was incredibly pleased that Nina's short visit to the gatehouse went well. There's a baby step that is not so baby & it has now happened. Nina & Willow need to be on a redemptive arc & it's high time they started down that road. As we know, the show drags things out. Oh, I guess this is a PS of sorts, I hated Betty the new nanny & wanted Ava to deck her. It was hilarious how Sonny saw through Ava's attempt to follow the nanny's orders & just as well that he is now filled in on the story junque that revolves around Cousin Mason. Who the heck was the dadgummed dead guy?
  4. I like Meredith Stiehm's words. https://deadline.com/2023/07/wga-west-president-meredith-stiehm-shares-the-wealth-deal-strike-1235447806/
  5. My BFF's first soap crush was Linda Grey's Sue Ellen. She was 6 at the time & that I can actually credit, but 3?!! Boy, you belong in Guinness Records! But classic Reilly is as good for DAYS as classic Bill Bell. Good memories. At 3 I was teaching myself to read off of cereal boxes & only interested in the commercials on TV, not the shows. I've been feeling very low because of Al Alarr & this has lifted me up! 🤔🙄😲😏😉🙃
  6. That's amazing! I love it. Okay, what were the first stories you recall? I was a teen & the first two were Bill raping Laura & then Julie & Susan & David & baby Dickie, both prime Bill Bell writing. .
  7. Of course, I know that. The point is that in real life things are not so neat & tidy. The people working at GH have had to cross the picket line since May 2nd. The show is doing what it is supposed to be doing & the employees are doing what they're supposed to be doing, yet, they're picketed. It just is what it is.
  8. Just to pick a nit here but GH is picketed this strike & they were last strike, too. Thank you. I thought that it existed from whatever circumstances but that the WGA adopted it at a certain point, if you see what I mean. And, that was not correct, I see now. It was just that at a certain point it had come into being & then people began to avail themselves of it.
  9. Okay, what difference is that supposed to make?
  10. I just want to say that people call WGA writers with Fi-Core status scabs. A scab is one who crosses the picket line to work. When the WGA created Fi-Core status they were just legitimizing what had gone on forever, which is that someone wrote the show. I know that there were feuds between writers over the creation of Fi-Core status. People fell out with each other over it. Wish I knew more about that. Now I may not have said anything new. And I will leave you to it.
  11. #ClassicDAYS Marlena & Roman, Hope is feeding them, first breakfast, then dinner, terrible day, Liz accidentally shot Marie,... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JhdXOVkCzWs&list=PLKmA2lMn5BKs-vZ9yFwJjD4qyfHAcAb1v&index=6
  12. If you use a rule of thumb that someone has been outed then you're not outing them, then an author outed Connie Ford when she wrote a biography of Louise Fitzhugh who wrote the "Harriet the Spy" books.
  13. RQOTD: In her new book Anne Heche tells that on the 1st day of shooting with Harrison Ford on the beach , he told her to only look at his left eye. She said she had to look at his whole face. He said okay. ACTION! He had one hand in front of his right eye. Brilliant! She learned. CALL ME ANNE .
  14. Exactly. If I weren't watching now, I'd start. Like if I was on a break like I was a few years ago. Break would be over.
  15. Yes, Diana Colville, cub reporter & romantic interest for John Black! Sorry, no, never knew about it. Clever idea.
  16. Betty Corday was a rock, a gem, a dame!
  17. https://soaphub.com/general-hospital/news-gh/soap-and-broadway-star-pamela-blair-has-passed-away-at-age-73/
  18. No. Not. Also remember that they always got a story even after he cut them off! And, yes, that was THE moment the rest of them should have joined them. And, also yes, cowering is the right word. They were cowards.
  19. As long as we also remember that whenever anyone tried to do it a different way - Mimi Torchin at WEEKLY & Michael Kape at SOAP OPERA NOW that Corday was the first person to cut off their usual access.
  20. When it's not something about service, surely they're trained to pass along information.
  21. He's really positioned himself. That sucks. But, it can't be helped. Peacock should be flooded with fans up in arms. But, thank you for having & sharing invaluable information!
