  1. Oh my god, I bet you're right. We're gonna have a coma sub-topic!
  2. To this day I do not understand how Irene Dailey (Aunt Liz, AW) won Best Actress as a Lead. She was always a Supporting Character! I completely understand how Beverlee McKinsey & Victoria Wyndham canceled each other out & Irene just waltzed right through & I get it that Bev & VW went to the first place that served liquor, called for a table & to be left alone, just bring liquor & they got drunk together & shared their mutual disgust.
  3. And a long arc on OG Charmed which also often had Finola Hughes & James Read. Oh, yeah, and, Wes Ramsey.
  4. Once a year, every year, I re-read The Little Prince and manage to find in it new layers of loveliness and wisdom each time, always seemingly written to allay whatever my greatest struggle at that moment is. It is a special book, yes, but it is not singular in being a testament to something I have long believed: that great children’s books transcend both age and time. They are exquisite distillations of philosophies for living, addressing in the language of children — which is the language of absolute sincerity, so countercultural in our age of cynicism — the deepest, most eternal truths about what it means to live a meaningful, beautiful, inspired, noble life. Although written with children in mind, they speak to the eternal child that each of us lives with and answers to, but often neglects — something Antoine de Saint-Exupéry knew and articulated beautifully in dedicating The Little Prince to the little boy inside his grown-up best friend.
  5. Re-watched Everything Everywhere All At Once Watched 3 episodes of JULIA. Watched 1 episode of Doctor Who, the lady doctor
  6. Me, too. I completely blanked on their having a past relationship. Really a bizarre thing to happen!
  7. Christmas Eve, 12-24-2000 Bianca came out to Erica as gay. I remember it like it was yesterday.
  8. Thanks. The one thing I hate more than anything else besides violence is fake news & scammers.
  9. It's interesting when you can actually SEE a job wear someone down.
  10. I know that happened once at GL & It could easily have happened at AW, too.
  11. Here it is, nearly the end of another year. I'm looking forward. I'm looking backward. I see that someone has followed me around, dogging my posts, in general making an ass of themselves and of course, that is amusing to the gathered SON entities & amusement is good for us. My crystal ball 🔮 shows me an accidental court jester. Season's Greetings to all!
  12. I just watched Fellow Travelers Love to Love You, Donna Summer Barbie re-watched Imagine Me & You The Long Kiss Goodnight 2 seasons of Venice the series I can recommend any & all of those. Fellow Travelers was especially good.
  13. In a way the show began with "back from the dead" - 1. Tommy Horton & then 2. Mickey Horton. At any rate I hope the show has many more years. Next year 60th anniversary.
  14. Phil Sogard just passed today & they had an ILM screen for him. How in the heck did they manage that? A good day even though we simply do not have enough Hortons! For 2 years we had an infirm John Aniston & now Bill Hayes is really showing his age. There was plenty of awkwardness to go around. Loved the flashback to Doug's first ornamental hanging. Loved the flashback at the end when times were tough for Mac. I also continue to enjoy these scab episodes. Things have been crazy for me. I began the day behind 11 episodes of 4 soaps. Now, make that 10. Tomorrow here we'll be doing an early Christmas feast. I'm in the mood now. Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays!
  15. DAYS OF OUR LIVES today, In Loving Memory screen for Phil Sogard, a director of GH under Gloria Monty, and with DAYS since the 1990s. Talked to Scott McKinsey, director at DAYS, and he confirmed his passing & that his service is being held this weekend. Then found this which looks similar to Legacy.com https://eternalhonoring.com/phil-sogard-obituary-a-legacy-in-the-world-of-film-and-television/ He passed today, 12-22, at the age of 90.
  16. I was just thinking about Another World. Linda Dano had that #1 fan story & that was pretty dark.
  17. Ya know who I miss, really miss? Anna Stuart. See her on The Doctors, not the same thing.
  18. He was just exhausted. They'd just finished taping the January special. Before that Jackie Zeman stuff. Two full weeks of going at 110% throttle. This week Covid. Now at last hiatus till Jan. 8th.
  19. I just pull out these two totally true & in retrospect obvious things!
