  1. How fabulous!!! This makes me weep, all over, and some more.
  2. I love that overdrive function on public libraries. I read all of the OUTLANDER series that way. Also, very funny about them NOT being supercouples. The editors of this mag are Mark McGarry & Carolyn Hinsey, so you can expect bias, at least that is my take.
  3. I spent the whole time, grinding my teeth & thinking "STFU, Drew!" But, not really, because so much was not about Michael. I thought the balance on the show was way off. I mean was today the day we needed to learn that Cody is considering some questionable investment in crypto currency? Or to be reminded that Stella is tender on the subject of children because TJ lost 2 surrogate kids? And, Portia is keeping it a secret that there's a digitalis injecting murderer lose in GH?!!! And, Sonny & Nina broker a deal where Sonny's side gets nothing & gives up everything? Today was an incredibly stupid day. And, Drew, the master manipulator got up in Willow's face & told her that someone was trying to manipulate her. And, he didn't mean himself.
  4. You know Digest's second special print edition was I think named "Greatest Couples" so not Supercouples per se but maybe of interest to this topic. "Search for Tomorrow" had no couple listed. "Another World" only had Mac & Rachel. I don't have it in front of me right now but I remember those two things that I thought were odd. Edit: Okay, it's officially "Soaps' 50 Greatest Couples". And, I have it & can look up anything anyone is interested in.
  5. Me, I not only want closure but a proper saying goodbye. Plus, if we're lucky & the writing is good there's the chance for catharsis. What I don't like is things lingering on & on, waiting instead of experiencing.
  6. The term was coined by mainstream media & first applied to Luke & Laura. (I sometimes think it was as much a part of the hype as it was the couple.) Immediately it was applied retroactively to 2 couples on 2 shows. On DAYS Doug & Julie. On ATWT Jeff & Penny. Later, of course, it came to be used with many couples. In the 80s on DAYS the show was supercouple crazy with so many from Bo & Hope, including Roman & Marlena aka the cop & the doc, Shane & Kimberly, Patch & Kayla. On Y&R Victor & Nikki. On AMC Jesse & Angie were the first black supercouple. I think often AW's Steve & Alice are left off of lists. And, fans disagree today about whether they still exist. To me the last supercouple was GH's Sonny & Brenda. I know that some GH fans include Scrubs.
  7. I hope people got to see the Monica Lois clip short but a treasure.
  8. Update: filed question about remote access. 3 week reply time.
  9. TBI is not memory loss. It stands for traumatic brain injury. Jason thinks in a different way. It is not going to change on its own.
  10. Yes, you are correct. My mind said Lester. My fingers typed this other L name. ??!!!
  11. In my usual video hosting site, acct shallotpeel, title GH 12-21-23 Monica Lois clip, thought to be last appearance. Alternate access: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1v4vqu3-L80dhMBGyHLEhzYuPw7fCIZto/view?usp=drive_link
  12. One other thing about MDP & that is she is one of those writers who does not watch the show. And, to me, whether that stems from a lack of curiosity, or a disdain for your colleagues, or even ego or hubris, to me it is a cardinal sin.
  13. May light perpetual shine upon her & may angels guide her to her new heavenly home, where she will be met by long unseen friends & family & beloved pets. Stuart Damon is hosting a feast in her honor, waiting only for her to take her place at the head of the table.
  14. Fitting since MiT is set in Elmo, Alaska!!!!
  15. Lesley was there during Gloria Monty. Her nickname was Luther. Just the other day I was hoping the show would get her onscreen just one more time, especially with Jason in the mansion.
  16. Thanks for that clarification & perspective. Still she did the Sin Stalker earlier & then Fax Neuman later. And, also she did serial killers at other shows. No matter how far we might bend over to be fair, the violence against women is an unmistakable theme & the misogyny in her work, routinely present, cannot be mistaken.
  17. Lesley Charleson decided after LOVE IS A MANY SPLENDORED THING that she would never do another soap. But, the director Tom Donovan convinced her that she would be just perfect for this role that was coming up on his show & of course that was Monica on GH & as they say, the rest is history.
  18. Thanks, of course, I will head there to look.
  19. Margaret DePriest imo was a very limited writer. People today talk about GH's Chris Van Etten & how he writes the same thing over & over. Well, that was exactly what MDP did & she did it the same at several shows. I do not understand why she was hired time & again. At AW in a very vulnerable time she wrote not one, but two separate serial killers!! Her imagination was impoverished. The only time she was at all different was if she was paired with a stronger writer.
  20. I liked Warlock's AJ, also, although there were times when it was just not gonna be an AJ day.
  21. I think it just seemed like it because they kinda stacked the deck in favor of Vicky. But, you can hardly blame them. The whole world fell in love with Anne Heche.
  22. Well, that is downright weird. And, what's wrong with her pronunciation? FOREestUH?!!
