GH: February 2025 Discussion Thread
About Marty, who in the past didn't even seem to like his brother, at all. But I still want to know who/what/where this bug up his as* came from. Is he just still mad that Jason hijacked him & Anna interrogated him? I guess if it's that I can understand. Who gets locked OUT on a random balcony with only one coat but two people & what an awful spot to take a chem test! The dog has a name now, Mavis. Oh, so does that PI, Elaine. See, Felicia IS good for some things. BTW, I require advance notice if a dog is to be harmed. I'm not sure Frank will care about this requirement. And my last was your first: ANNA, she's always had the potential to be annoying, but now she's really gone & done it & I am over it.

I remember when we all stood in line & got the polio vaccine. IIRC it was drop of liquid on a sugar cube.

I think that she bit off more than she could chew. I mean, why did she do this all by herself? I know some people who got the whole package & they've gotten their souvenir glass but like us, no video! And, I don't know if this made into what I posted but she told me she was going to have to sue the videographer that she hired. BTW, I have asked a dear friend to reach out to Linda Dano. She has replied, saying, yes, she will email her tomorrow. So, if we're lucky she will get a reply. And, as you can probably tell, the thing most wanted is that video.

Budde, M. E. (2023). How We Learn to Be Brave: Decisive Moments in Life and Faith. Avery a Penguin Random House imprint. ISBN (ebook) 9780593539217 ISBN (hardback) 9780593539224 "With clarity, conviction, and a sure sense of the perils and the possibilities of the human condition, Bishop Mariann Budde has given us a great gift: a book that explores how God's children can stand up for the principles of His kingdom in a frail and fallen world. Courage, it has been said, is the most important virtue since it guarantees all the others, and Bishop Budde's searching account of her struggle to be brave is itself an act to be admired and absorbed." -- Jon Meacham, author of The Soul of America and And There Was Light

This sounds a lot like my own experience with her. She said she had to sue the videographer that she had hired.

For example??? And, about Ellen Weston, from me all there is or ever could be is a HARD PASS. She didn't even know how to be interviewed as a writer. You simply do not rewrite the backstories of 5 veteran male characters accusing them of no other than cold-blooded murder. And sock puppet? GMAB!!! Trying to tell story? In whose universe?! I'll give you mean-spirited, the death of Ben Reade? How much meaner could it have been?

ARTICLE: YouTube TV & Paramount Dispute Could Impact Launch of ‘Beyond the Gates,’ Access to CBS Soaps
This is a very short-sighted plan on the part of Paramount Plus!!!! They should NOT be doing this especially NOW.

One of the members of our Jarly zoom is a Ukrainian refugee living in Germany. Whenever she talks about it, I feel so bad for her & her people. She has a beautiful toddler whose name is Alice Hope. Love that & her.

All My Children Tribute Thread
AMC 1988 June 1st 15:44 Scott & Cindy wed. Scoot is stealing all the scenes. They're in Paris! Why is Skye faking serious illness? (We always called him Scoot.) Same date, next file. 29:19 Brooke at home. Phoebe: Over my dead body! Woman of Independent Means. (So maybe Ruth Warrick really was crazy?) New day: June 3rd: OMG! Okay. Nina & Matt have reached a decision. They are leaving Pine Valley. She says she needs to get away from the sight of Cliff. Also she thinks if she does not break with her father NOW, she never will. She says she wants her marriage to Matt to work. Cliff is an obstructionist. Also a sourpuss. It's interesting. At first I liked Cliff. Didn't like Matt. Now I have reversed. This thing with Nina loving 2 men is, well, interesting. Anyway, Cliff does have a point, and that is, "What about Bobby?" Jack is dealing with Erica & something about a movie. Also Jack is buying lots of shares of some stock. "Leave my name out of it." So, with the way these files are, I'm not sure just how much I have watched. Let's say it's been 3 more days. I give these 3 days an 8/10. Pretty good. Oh, and, BTW, Palmer is useless but I already knew that. Erica is her usual self. I've always liked her with Jack. At the hospital, in the hall, outside Nina's room, Cliff stops to console Bobby. A long hug. Just what the doctor ordered. I'm a big fan of hugs. Nina keeps crying. Bobby is upset when he hears the news. He asks her, "Mom, are you in trouble?" How endearing! OH NO. I completely forgot that Cecily went to the cop shop to ask Josh a favor. He made a kind of counter-offer. Would she be his date to the Policeman's Ball? She will. Their deal is sealed. Good grief, Charlie Brown! I also forgot about Adam. You see, this is the deal. I injured my right hand & it's my dominant hand so writing & keyboarding have both been a problem. Adam in a kind of a costume has traveled to Pigeon Hollow, rented a room & is now going around town telling people he teaches history & he's writing a book about local stories, the oral tradition, but it's all a fake. He is shining them on. His true purpose is not clear, at least not to us. But, the costume is very good.

Loving/The City Discussion Thread
No, I was just thinking about it wrong. I watched THE CITY but clearly it wasn't one of the soaps I got into after June 1999. I realized this but it was after I had hit send. What it was, maybe, PC. I had already added GH as of 1993. You see for a long time I was strictly an NBC baby. But, as an AW fan, the writing was on the wall. We knew. How could we not? So, I began soap adventuring in advance of cancellation. You know, I guess about the time the ABC half hour show aired for an hour in the OLTL timeslot. They had a huge jump in ratings.

Loving/The City Discussion Thread
That's just the P&G way of doing things. Another AW fan, to the bitter end. As a matter of fact, I think THE CITY was one of the ABC shows that I tried out when AW was cancelled. Also I really love Morgan Fairchild.
