I often say that our tech is trying to kill us. I count autocorrect at the top of my list. Yeah, sure, if you want to. I don't know what you mean by "like this". In another lifetime I made my living as a copy editor and proofreader. Most people like me cannot Unsee errors & especially are tuned into autocorrect & think it is ridiculous. I really get a kick out of it when its amusing, but that is not most of the time. I was not the one who typed tape over & over when they meant rape. Now, much more importantly. To me a couple that begins with rape cannot be iconic. It's just definitional to me at least. When it comes to Jake raping Marley, it matters a great deal to me that it was NOT what the HW wanted & she was forced to rewrite several scenes & ultimately it was the reason she quit.

YouTube took me down twice in 10 months. That was more than I could justify in terms of starting again there for a third time. YouTube needs a drastic overhaul of their system. They need to only address entities with standing to challenge for copyright. Now anyone who makes a charge is considered bonafide. That's the first crazy thing in their system. Their mechanical (or AI) censors are far too stupid. I could go on & on for pages, but, ... ugh. That's not even the worst of it for me. I had an electronic stalker who caused me to lose a Facebook account that I'd had for 2 decades & with it, since Meta is a very unified company, I also lost Instagram & Threads accounts.

Oh my gosh, I hope she can reinstate and not start from scratch! To lose everything, along with all the comments, would be devastating. I thought that was what happened at first. I'll keep hope alive! Yes, let's put THAT out into the universe: HOPE!! Yes, it was expensive then, too.

Robin Strasser & Erica Slezak together present the Younger Actor Awards. Best Male to Roger Howarth, OLTL, Todd. Best Female to Melissa Hayden, GL, Bridget Drake presents the In Memoriam segment to Dinah Shore, Lois Kibbee, Bernie Barrow & in a long, lovely feature, MacDonald Carey, many clips, Deidre Hall, Frances Reid, John C. Clarke & Melissa Reeves. There was a short Blooper segment & a segment on what makes leading men hot. Best Directing was won by GL & Bruce Barry accepted. Rena Sofer & Wally Kurth together introduce Ricky Martin & they present a non-soap Emmy. The Lifetime Achievement Award went to Dick Clark with special intention for American Bandstand. Best Writing went to OLTL, Michael Malone accepted & thanked Linda Gottlieb. Best Actor went to Michael Zaslow, GL, Roger Thorpe. Best Actress went to Hillary B. Smith, Nora, OLTL & she won for the gang rape trial. Best Show went to AMC with Felicia Minei Behr accepting. This abridged version can be found in my Rumble acct.

I was so relieved when I saw this yesterday. I was never comfortable with him at BTG. Whatever he ends up doing maybe I will luck out & not watch it.

I also did not feel the show was making a rapist a hero. Although I think I am always going to prefer the version of events that Swajeski meant to be.

To & about various: Marland said Lisa Brown was his muse and he created Nola on GL and Iva on ATWT for her. Beverlee was ready to go back to work. AW wanted her of course but so did Gail Kobe at GL. Pam Long created Alexandra for her. There was something about some hair misadventure that happened. Beverlee's son, Scott posted about this a few years back on my FB soap group but I never fully grasped the details.

This reminds me. I messaged with the poster who uploads as "Blake Marler" yesterday inquiring if she'd made any progress on getting her channel back. She let me know I was asking way too soon since this will take her many months. So, that is discouraging.
