Good riddance. The only positive thing he ever did was help with the ending of apartheid in South Africa and his relationship with Nelson Mandela. He's even still to this day considered a somewhat of a hero in South Africa. As a kid in school in the 90s, I was definitely taught that he was some sort of "misunderstood martyr" while Margaret Thatcher and Ronald Reagan- two people I have no use for- were the "evil villains". Judging by the South African twitter response to his death, that's something that's still taught and it's rather disheartening.

Well the news here said Jill Stein and her party had successfully petitioned and paid for a recount and audit in Wisconsin so far and was pursuing ones in two other states so I guess she's at least using some of the money to follow through.

I have to go past the Amway Australia building here all the time. I've never known anyone that sells it though because pretty much everyone knows it's a scam. i was reading about this woman's education ideas and I see she's a big propionate of charter schools. I'm not super familiar with them or the idea behind them but from what I've read today, they seem like a terrible idea. Are they big in America? It seemed to be me, just from reading, that they either end up preying on people in inner-cities or are used to basically create a free private school for privileged children.

I can only speak from experience (as an admittedly well off white woman from a country that the US has a good relationship with) but I assume it's a combination of three things: 1. the process is long and expensive 2. if they find out your there on an expired visa or illegally, they will take you into custody with zero qualms about it (trust me- I know). The people who are there on expired visas or that can afford to just take the option to go back to your home country and accept the punishment (basically pay this fine and don't come back for x amount of years) but the poorer illegals will just end up in the detention centers/jail indefinitely or in limbo. The detention centers are not some place you want to be and I imagine most illegal immigrants know this and have stories about it 3. Even if you do everything you are suppose and follow all the rules, they can still end up not approving you and sending you back. For a lot of them it's probably not worth the risk.

I just watched a few minutes from some other episodes and I've become convinced that were helping his campaign. Also I think they're using him to try and start WWIII or something. During the actual election night episode, they had a countdown clock going and shout out "we won" win they realise he's going to win. The one from this weekend has repeated proclamations of "our darling Trump" and that he's going to listen to Putin when it comes to global affairs and no need for Russia to be afraid. Yep. I'm sure Putin will be encouraging Trump to start poisoning his enemies any day now,

Oh I also forgot to mention that apparently Russian TV and Putin have taken to calling him "our Trump". They call him that several times and at one point say "our marvelous Trump" and another time it's "our wonderful Trump".

The Kremlin & Putin's state run propaganda network is extremely happy about Trump's victory I can understand Russian so I watched the whole broadcast and I'm speechless. It's covered a bit in the above article but they don't think Trump will go after Hillary Clinton because Trump has a "weakness for blondes". They seem to know an awful lot about his personal preferences and even offer up some suggestions for who he should appoint to work with him. They also go off on some tangent about how Putin and Trump- being the superior people that they are you see- are the only people along with a few other named dropped people (such as Farage, Le Pen, Wilders, Duterte) will make the world great again. He also promises that Putin will have Trump drop "irritating slogans" like democracy and human rights that have "dominated and ruined" the world the past century. There's also a vague threat about the US and Russia taking over Ukraine.

White Aryan America. I can't wait for all of his fellow neo-Nazis round the world to be celebrating. What exactly will this guy be in charge of? I want know exactly how panicked I should be and how much influence he could have on a global level. I'm at the end of my rope with people saying America (and thus the rest of the world) should calm down and give him a chance.

I personally liked his thanks yous to Jill Stein and Gary Johnson. I hope the people like Susan Sarandon that just had to vote for them are proud of themselves. Meanwhile, Marine Le Pen is on BBC says her, Nigel Farage, and Donald Trump are starting and leading "a new world" to replace this one. I can only assume by new world she means where with only WASPy Aryan people since everyone else is dirty and nasty to all three of them. Also, can someone please to me why I just saw Sky News claim that Sarah Palin is going to be in Trump's administration and that Ted Cruz is maybe going to be on the Supreme Court? I mean, I guess anything is possible now but neither of those have a real chance of happening right?

I had to turn The Age and Guardian off my social media as well. The Guardian especially seems quite eager to bring this same stuff here. I couldn't take them anymore. I've seen these same 4 or 5 people in Sydney twice now (both times at Bondi of all places) and I'm just like why? Thankfully everyone I know and everyone out in public seems to be just as repulsed as I am to see them out and about. I'm more annoyed and upset with people like Pauline Hanson, George Christensen, Malcolm Roberts, and Cory Bernardi (let's see if he really stays in America) being so delighted and galvanised by this. I'm already traumatised by Hanson being given a platform yet again that I don't think I can take having her movement gaining any more traction.

Good. I have a friend whose boyfriend is obsessed with that guy. He was always posting his articles and stuff all over the place and it was always vile and rubbish. The white nationalists of Australia were out again today in their new quest to Make Australia Great Again. Apparently they're really hoping for concentration camps to come back (for all the Muslims/Jews/Gays/Blacks of course) and think Australia and America should bomb the Middle East out of existence.

I don't want to leave out the Afrikaner Resistance Movement (aka South Africa's Neo-Nazi movement which doesn't just support apartheid but the exile and killing of blacks, Jews, non-pure blood Afrikaners, and immigrants). Their delightful leaders Dan Roodt and Steyn Von Ronge have issued a glowing celebratory statement of Trump's win and how thrilled they are to have such a powerful ally in their "movement". Maybe they can share with him their tactics of beating people to death with bats, bombing homes of people they consider less than, and siccing packs of wild dogs on groups of people or maybe their symbol which is a swastika. Geert Wilders has promised a "patriotic spring" and worldwide revolution and uprising for their movement (or as we call it- a white power Nazi movement). Pauline Hanson and George Christensen can't hide their delight. The joy of the Le Pen family, Putin, North Korea, Iran, and the Philippines is well documented. Since Trump or any of his supporters have yet to denounce these people and have even invited the younger Le Pen in their fold, I can only assume they agree with and accept their support. Maybe they can call appear at the rallies he plans on going to have (also a moment to remember what other fascist leader continued to hold rallies after his rise to power). What wonderful days await all of us with Trump and his minions in charge of the most powerful country in the world and with white supremacists and nationalists worldwide galvanised and validated.

Yes. Marine Le Pen's equally repulsive niece is now working with the Trump transition team so he has straight up Neo-Nazis involved. Lovely. His victory has also apparently galvinised some of Australia's right wing nationalists since I saw some out in force yesterday in Sydney complete with bright red Make Australia great again hats.

I've haven't read too much into it but on the news here, they've been heavily covering the stuff about his ties to Russia and what it could possibly mean. Our media has been really on top of it (most likely because the fear of Russia here is extremely strong) and to me, it seems extremely shady. At the very least, they were in contact and helping. I don't want to cast stones before we know the whole story, but if they didn't rig it, they definitely helped swing the election. I know a lot of Russian immigrants or children/grandchildren of Russian immigrants (I'm one in fact) and most of them flat out believe that Putin and the KGB were in the shadows pulling strings and made it happen. I mean, my whole life all I ever heard was that America and Russia hated each other...and now all of a sudden Russia wants to be best mates with America. My stepaunt fled Russia in the 70s and reads and listens to all this ex-Soviet stuff and apparently there's murmuring going around that Putin has something on Trump and that's what is behind all this. I don't know how sound that is or if it's true but it wouldn't shock me I also saw something on our news about how in Wisconsin he only won about something like 15,000 votes but in the Milwaukee area (?, sorry for my spelling)- a heavily populated urban area where 80% of the people are minorities- almost 300,000 where turned away and not able to vote. Something is definitely wrong there. They also said they had a problem in heavily populated Democratic leaning areas of North Carolina with people not being allowed to vote.

I can't imagine what American teachers are dealing with. My 13 year old sister was telling me today that some American expat kid at school told her that Trump was just the beginning, that he message was going to spread worldwide now that the leader of America agrees with them, to be prepared for the "others" to "go back to where they came from", and that they weren't going to be welcome in America anymore. If this is what kids are hearing here, I don't even want to know what they're saying over there. It's just almost too sad and upsetting at this point.

I think (and this goes for a lot of the people I know) it because Australia itself has an ugly history with racism. The treatment of Aborigines is an ugly, ugly stain on our history and we're still feeling the effects and repenting of it. There's also the fact that, like America, Australia is a country built on immigrants- people whose families escaped the Holocaust or Sudan or the USSR or East Germany. My own grandmother came to Australia after having to escape Europe in the back of a truck to get away from the Nazis because she was Jewish. I see a lot of people who are here thinking "would we be welcome in Trump's America?". I know as a woman, as a Jewish person, and as a child and grandchild of immigrants that I certainly probably wouldn't. I don't want to feel that way, I don't want my 13 year old sister to feel that way, and I don't want the American people to feel that way but people do and it's sad. It's 2016. People shouldn't have to worry about what they're now worrying about. i mean we're down here in Australia worried to death about climate change and the leader of the free world is appointing people who claim it's a myth. I've made donation to PP, NAACAP, ACLU, and now the Sierra Club so far. Does anyone know any others that are need ing help? Maybe some that support immigrants or the LGBTQ communities?

Our news was suggesting that one way to help from here is to send donations to the organisations that will be most effected by this shitshow. I already donated just a bit ago to the NAACP, Planned Parenthood, and ACLU. What are some other good organisations to donate to? I have the money and it's the least I can try and do.
