Oh yeah, I sort of remember the writer's strike during that year. Last thing I remember was someone wearing a black glove and had a gun and turned on a light bulb. After that episode, it was like a totally different show and it went full throttle too. And I mean full throttle. It was wild and sickening. I lived for it too!

Confessions - What I did for soaps
I was raised in a home by my mother who was very strict on all of us. I was the black sheep of the family, so she was all over my ass. We get along great now, as I acknowledge the fact that being a single mother is a very difficult task. So, when it came to watching television, we were allowed to watch a certain number of shows a day according to our report cards. It went down like this: A's/B's: 5 television shows per day 1 or more C's: 3 television shows per day 1 D : 1 television show per day 1F: 0 television shows until the next quarter (or period) to see what our grades were Yep. Sweet little me go an F. At that time, I loved Kim Zimmer. I thought she was the most talented actress I'd ever seen at that ime. I LOVED Michelle Forbes too. I really wanted to see Solita shove Reva off that ropey bridge. Bitch was always stickin' her nose where it didn't belong. So, while my mom was watching Guiding Light in the kitchen with the volume turned up, I would secretly turn on the television downstairs in the family room with the volume off. 😄😉 Sure, the volume from upstairs in the kitchen was quite the challenge, but I could still sort of tell what was being said. Bitch still didn't kill Reva which blackened my heart even more. And then came along Annie Dutton a decade or so later. Believe it or not, Annie and I have been best friends ever since. But yeah, at that time, I did that for 9 weeks or something. I had to be really careful too because of the picture frames which would show the television reflection from upstairs. God, I was so sneaky. Forgive me Father, for I have sinned. This is my confession.

So, I'm not smokin' crack then. Yeah, it was definitely a scene on 1/17. I just watched Wednesday's eppy and I saw a lot of the park scenes. I wouldn't have noticed until I heard Rachel (who's destined to do great things by the way) say, "Whatever." So, next time I smoke crack, it better not be laced up with bad smack. 😄

Umm ... why are they repeating scenes again? What I mean is why am I seeing the same scenes twice? For example, when Eric and Nicole both had dreams about one another? Maybe it's me though. Did I smoke crack? Wait a minute, let me see here. *Pats down beautiful bedspread in search of a glass pipe* No, I don't think I see any crack pipe lying around anywhere. Well, I do have 10 decor throw pillows. Maybe there's a (hopefully clean) crack pipe in beween my pillows? *Pats down in-between throw pillows* Nope. I couldn't find any crack pipe here either. Hmmm ... maybe I put the crack pipe in one of the drawers of my night tables? Well, I don't use the left night table, but let me check the other one and see what's there. *Scavenges through the night table drawer* Let's see here ... pens, index cards, Bose headphones, vibrator, condoms - oh those are way expired. Hmm .. Covid-19 Vaccination Record Card ... Oh, lube! But, no - I don't see a crack pipe in sight. Maybe I put a crack pipe inside a shoe in my shoe closet? Oh god, this will take me all day.

Not fake Gucci's, lol! Nooo! What is this world coming to? 😄 I must admit reading this thread is not only entertaining, but it also helps me know a little of who's who. So far, this is pretty decent drama. I could be wrong as history is important, so I don't in terms if there are past stories where history has been re-written or not. I enjoyed yesterday's eppy and look forward to more scenes with Nina and Ava. I think these two are my faves. They seem more relatable to me for some reason. I get them wholly and completely.

I wish I had Harold's job. You know, sit on my ass all day while I let EJ make a Denver or Santa Fe omelet served with grilled potatoes, sliced tomatoes, with a little sprig of fresh rosemary. Better yet, I'll just let anyone in and tell the uninvited guests to barge into anyone's bedroom if they wish (which they do anyway). Oh, yeah. And then I'll probably hear the doorbell ring, and Johnny, Stacy, or EJ will say something like, "Don't worry, Harold! I got it!" And then I'll be on my tablet streaming something on Paramount + and go, "Huh? What? Oh, go ahead. I wasn't going to anyway." 😄

Oh, c'mon! All the booze at Li and Gabi's wedding reception were the same bottles of booze at Brady's Pub. And the pint of cheap bourbon Orpheus gave to Lucas in prison is the same pint of cheap bourbon that Xander is swiggin' in front of Gwen in that cockroach infested trailer trash dump.

I like Alyssa. She's so gorge! I don't know if they intentionally shut her down or not, but she does seem to handle herself professionally. Megan was the complete opposite, lol! OMG.

General Hospital: January 2023 Discussion Thread
I enjoyed Friday's episode and Monday's episode was okay. Still trying to figure out who's who, but I had no idea that Laura was the mayor of Port Charles. Genie Francis glowed yesterday. Is the show hiding her pregnancy? I noticed that Laura and Esme didn't really seem to talk about each other's pregnancies. Rather, it was just Esme. I think Esme is trying to pull a Sami Brady with her amnesia, but that's just me. I wanted more Nina and Carly drama and felt a little deprived. What would make this storyline more explosive is Willow dying. I swear, I'd laugh and laugh. Nina being so horrified at the death of her daughter and the fact that Carly kept if from her all this time would be even more explosive. Instead, it's going to be the same ol' storyline. Maybe Willow will die. I dunno. I'd like it if she did. I want to see Cynthia channel her inner Annie Dutton and have a faceoff with Carly. Get her, Annie! Get her! Sic her! I mean, get her, Nina! Get her! Rip her face off!

Power is good, but this will defintely be a challenge for Shelia. Well, Mike's a loser, so whatever. Deacon's poor, but maybe he's good in bed. Bill, I guess is what people like to call a DILF nowadays, but he walks around like he's either suffering from constipation or anal leakage. Then again, maybe DD had a back accident of some sort that I'm unaware of as I did notice the real-life scar around the tramp stamp area.
