  1. They're finally doing what they should, which is trim down scenes to save time but not removing completely. Christine's baby fantasy was taken out, Mac entering the Chancellor estate and talking with Esther for nearly a minute before seeing Katherine. Of course, it's easier when the episodes run 39-40 mins instead of 43 but that's how you do it!

I've seen the clip a million times on youtube, But chills seeing the whole thing on TV. the takeover really took a year? wow, Sounds really good

It's something else to see classic scenes in context!

Yes, it took Jack and Brad nine months of scheming/planning to take over Newman, a further 4 months for this confrontation, and 3 more for it to be resolved and spun into Jabot vs Newman. Brilliant business storytelling.

  3. God, how wonderful it is to rewatch such a classic in really crisp HD. And such great storylines: The yearlong takeover arriving at another unforgettable climax ("I will crush you!"). So soapy but it's the great acting by Bergman that sells those last few moments. He looks terrified. Mac and Katherine; a great story that led to even better things. Sexy Jill and Malcolm flirting. And you can say all you want about Christine (and I have), but the scenes about her not being pregnant were rather touching thanks to beautiful execution. They also seem to have only cut one scene. This recaptured the feeling I had 20 years ago watching this. It hurts my soul the show in all its HD glory isn't streaming on AA.

  4. It's taken forever, but I'm continuing with Season 1. The scene of Roman masturbating by his office window overlooking New York was such a great comment on how power is an aphrodisiac to him. And him then wiping the semen off

Kendall was fantastic in his efforts of formulating a response to Logan's stroke, thinking he's made it, only for Logan to tell him he's a fυcking idiot.

    Poor Greg. Poor thing.

  5. Saw the first 2 episodes. It's really great. I love how Pearl and Izzy are forming bonds with the other mom. They keep hinting that Mia is really angry, perhaps vengeful. I wonder if it's a misdirection or if they want us to think it's a misdirection. Witherspoon is fantastic as always. Although this character is very similar to BLL, she's certainly playing it different.

This is Keith Dennison with Jill in this 98 episode right? Who cast him? I'm sorry but this guy doesn't seem to fit Y&R's...aesthetic. Especially with Jess Walton look like a billion dollars.

Yes it is and he was dreadful. Keith was temporarily recast when Van Dusen was blissfully unavailable with someone much more fitting, aesthetic wise, but sadly the show went back to Van Dusen. I can never understand why they thought the Cryptkeeper was appropriate for Jill. Thankfully someone realized this and they ended the relationship.

Why did Katherine offer for Jill to live with her? Did she have an ulterior motive or was she just expecting Jill to say no?

Katherine went to Keith and told him Jill probably doesn't love him enough to marry him. Keith pressed Jill for an answer, she said no, and was asked to move out. Katherine, in a moment of guilt for ruining the relationship and leaving Jill homeless, suggested Jill move in temporarily and Jill said yes so she could get back at Katherine.

I made a subfolder in 1991 and titled this as german. Then i will upload month for month as folder 🙃😉

Im beginning with 1991 and then go on as far as possible.

I am for it, there should be the date in form YEAR-MONTH-DAY.   And optional the episodenumber behind

Thank you so much! To you and everyone else uploading -- it's more appreciated than you'll ever know!

May I suggest doing decades? lol Since you're starting with 1991, doing 2001, then 1992 and 2002 etc?

I'm catching up on DAYS, almost through with April... what is UP with the change in lighting?  John and Marlena are in bed and it looks like someone is shining a spotlight on them! Why so harsh? In another scene, it's daylight and people are in the tiny park and the lighting is so bright and harsh, we can see the "blue sky" behind the plastic shiny trees looking so dull and unrealistic, looking like exactly what it is: a cheap set.

Knowing DAYS, I wouldn't be surprised if they fired their lighting directors to save money and asked the craft service guy if he didn't mind 'turning the lights on real quick.'

1973-2005 are classic in my book. No one wants to see 2012 and 2014.

2003*, but yes. Unless you're defining classic as really, really old. You can go up to 2005 at a stretch.

Sheila/Lauren deserve a whole week of their own. I’d be happy with a week of Lauren imprisoned in the farmhouse with Sheila’s mother.

I would hope they're planning a villain/psycho week, but like you said, they could do a whole week with major Sheila/Lauren episodes alone.
