Speaking of Brock, I wish the show would address the issue at hand and announce Brock passed like the portrayer. It could actually give Jill something to do, bring back some familiar faces (Mac, Lorie, Casey, Julia, etc.), and give the actor a proper sendoff even though it is about a year too late.

Well DTC is totally wrong. As I've said before, I'll take a nice, comfy P&G-esqe Christmas episode over everything. I don't need doom and gloom for a X-Mas episode. It's getting to the point on UK soaps where it is predictable that a stunt will occur on all four soaps during the Christmas specials. It takes away from the shows. TV (as a entire medium) has become too reliant on stunts. I'd so settle for seeing Ian and Kathy having a nice, pleasant reunion at the table over a car flipping in Square, a murder, a fire, a tram accident, a bus accident, a siege, etc. Same with the other soaps too. Just over the plot-driven Christmases.

I'm gonna die of laughter if they put Jay with Louise for the simple fact I said the pairing in jest. I hope the story is otherwise b/c poor Jay needs a good story. I damn sure don't care about Linda's rape. I'm ready for it to wrap up and for them to deliver their comeuppance to Dean already. Matt DiAngelo isn't a great actor but I like him and once enjoyed Dean (his first stint). I still get pissed over how they made him a rapist. They should've just brought back Chelsea for him and went from there.

Maybe he's a freelance writer and he just bounces between EE and Corrie. Because he is usually at one or the other.

Is he still at EE or is he back at Corrie? Last I heard, he was EP of Real Housewives of Cheshire. If so, that'll explain some things.

I think that already happened a few years ago... The "Americanized" element is why I didn't like Santer/DTC either - it felt too much like someone who watched the bad later seasons of Dallas too many times. And it's even worse now. I agree. EE started to emulate American soaps back around '06. I think the baby switch with Ronnie/Kat solidified it. I wouldn't even say they were copying Dallas. I'd say they were probably copying the ABC soaps all throughout the '00s. Someone over there has been studying AMC and OLTL (the horrible years) b/c it wreaks over there.

Eww. I didn't know they were that bad at DS. I don't find rape stories cute at all. That aside, I hope someone else isn't revived. They just revived Kathy. It needs to be another 5-10 years before they consider bringing someone back from the dead. I just crazy how Americanized EE is becoming as a soap. It used to be my escape soap from US soaps but not anymore. I find myself throwing it to the wayside along with the US soaps. I'm just waiting for the day that DS drops a scoop of DTC penning a story that'll have Shirley possessed by Satan and I will be too done.

You mean Danny Mitchell? Wasn't that Santer who created him? Do you think that the secret might be about him?

I'm praying this secret does not consist of an affair or secret child. I can't take it. I never understood how she wasted herself on Ian and Phil too but look at Melanie. She did the same damn thing back in the early 00s that boggled my mind too.

Not Lisa popping another cap in him! At least this time, she might get it right. Didn't Ben not like Louise as a child? Didn't he hurt her or something like that? I remember some incident occurring with them that Phil got upset over. Won't be surprised if he takes to her. I agree that they'll have Phil be the helicopter dad, who hovers over her every move. I get this weird feeling that they might even toss Jay into her orbit, messing up his dynamics with the Mitchells.

I am over here dying off that comment. And why does every teen have to be 'feisty?' Sometimes, I feel that character descriptions should be removed from casting. As a writer, I hate doing them b/c I feel that they make characters flat instead of being the complex beings I want them to be. They are typically cliche. Shocked that DTC is actually is casting someone in that age range b/c none of the young adults have much story going on for them at the moment. The kids (Bobby & Dennis) have more going on than the young adults/teens.

Good for them! The ratings are consistent, which can't be said about all the other housewife shows. Speaking of last episode, let me post the v-loggers videos, who perfectly explain why Kenya is necessary for this show and why they've all been messy:

I did find it embarrassing for a 40 year old woman to be suffering from separation anxiety. Especially when she's only a few hours away from them. Her kid had me dying, packing her bag and acting all nonchalant like he couldn't wait for her to leave. I noticed that too. You can tell that Kim is probably a stage IV helicopter parent. She probably gives her kids (or husband) no breathing room. All that smothering is gonna run them all off in the long run.

Why is Bethenny paying Sonja any mind? And why is Sonja still on this show? Sonja became irrelevant around s6. She offers nothing to the show anymore. I do find it jarring too that she is hawking booze knowing that she's an alcoholic or addicted to something. Sonja needs rehabilitation if anything....

Glad this episode was re-posted as I enjoyed it when it was originally posted. I wished that someone would post the follow up episode. Heck, I'd like to see more LOVING episodes posted on Youtube.

Kenya's shade was on point last night.

I don't hate Kim. I just think her reaction to being separated from her family is over the top. She's in Miami. Not China. She could've booked a flight home that night if she wanted too. Most people would cry tears of joy for a vacation to get away from their spouses and kids. Not cry to be with them. I understand it's a human reaction but I personally don't understand it. I disagree that she is best addition. Kim brings nothing to the table. Tammy and Shamea give more than Kim do. And with that acting the fool and dragging people in the mud, were you were referring to all the women that have held a peach (minus DeShawn and Lisa)? Because they've all gotten gutter. Not just Kenya, who you all like to declare is the only who has.

All these women are thirsty, dried up, and desperate ... like Thotlandia and Coinstar Parks bikinis were tonight. Stop bringing up the sperm donor crap. That was three seasons ago and Kenya was joking. Y'all give Kenya and everything she says too much power. Most of the things she says are in jest. Her snapping her fingers at him were wrong but we all have bad vices. He could've easily addressed her politely and asked her not to do that and moved on. Clearly, he doesn't. Kim is a grown ass woman and she needs to build a bridge and get over it. She knew what she signed up for. She knew a girls' trip was coming. If she didn't wanna go, she should've backed out. I don't pity nobody about sobbing about being on a free vacation. She shouldn't've gotten a peach this season IMO. Your hatred for Kenya is ludicrous but you keep her Q-score rising b/c she stays trending. At this rate, y'all never get rid of her.

Kenya has never had an issue with Nene. To this day Nene nor her fans can come up with a valid reason why they fell out. It made no sense how Nene turned in her. Despite that, Kenya never closed the door on her and has always been receptive to Nene. Them being cool isn't a surprise on Kenya's part. She doesn't have a reason to hate Nene. She gets that this is a tvshow and knows how to play the game. Unlike the rest, she never takes anything personally and its why she's lasted this long and quickly adapts to different situations this evolving she throws at her I've pointed out several reasons and causes why Nene and by extension myself can't stand that fake as hell attention whore. It's just that you and some others refuse to acknowledge them or understand that they are legitimate concerns. Her behavior in this current episode is just another clear exhibit of why I absolutely can't stand her. Her attempts to be clever and cute and shady are just stupid and over the top. And I'm SO GLAD Kim called this trick out on her "instigation". Kenya Moore is nothing but a viper and someone who loves to play games. And Kim clearly recognized this bullsh*t facade. Just looked at her nasty behavior towards Kim. Because the lady misses her family she's somehow a loser or lesser than her. The truth is that Keny is Bitter jealous girl. She wants to have kids but she knows it's probably too late. She wants a husband but she knows deep down no one will ever wife her after all her antics. It's why she lashed out at Porsha way back when followed by Phaedra and Nene regardless what happened to the first twos spouses. And it's why she deep down prob hates Kim and is throwing all these barbs at Kandi. Oh please. Nene couldn't stand Kenya simply b/c she was threatened. As many have pointed out, she had no reason to loathe Kenya. Hell, she encouraged Kenya's antics against Phaedra in s5. Once Nene realized she wouldn't be leaving RHOA so suddenly (due to The New Normal being cancelled), she got pissed and knew she'd have to fight for the spotlight again--the same spotlight that Kenya acquired effortlessly the previous season. Ain't nobody jealous over Kim whining over her husband. She was looking damn stupid. She's in Miami. Not Buenos Aires. That's a one-hour flight and four to five hour drive. She was acting like she was separated from them by a mass body of water. It wasn't that serious. I'd be shading her ass too. Hell, I'd declare she take her ass home. Kim's energy was f-cking up the trip. Too damn grown to be suffering from separation anxiety. Onto tonight's episode: I found it hilarious that Phaedra tried calling Kenya an instigator. Does she not remember how she stayed stirring the pot until last season when she was the talk of the town? So now she's aloof to engaging in that type of behavior. Girl, bye. That's why I can't stand this fraud. I found it even more hilarious that people were coming down on Kenya for relaying info Tammy said back to Sheree. Are people new to this concept? Production requires that spread info amongst each other. The smart ones do so. If Tammy didn't want Sheree to know what she thought about Sheree/Bob then she should've kept her mouth shut. Once you put something in the universe, don't be stunned when people go and spread it. Kenya snapping at Glen to get his attention was wrong but his reaction with aggression was just as much wrong. Of course, Phaedra would side with him (the aggressor) b/c she's a bird. She's used to dealing with hoodrats. She married one. Not shocked that next week, they'll blame Glen snapping on Kenya when it was obvious he was being aggressive and he has a history of being in unsavory matters.
