Emmerdale: Discussion Thread
Yaaaasssss, Rhona! Give Paddy's lard ass the boot! Zoe Henry delivered tonight. I only wish that she would've bust Paddy's head to the white meat after he had the gall to plead with her to go away to Paris--the same location he wanted to runaway with Tess too. Paddy is a low down, dirty dog! Now I need Rhona to screw the hell out of Pierce in vengeance. Good to see Cain screw over Ross/Charity in their recent scam. I hope this is the start of many times Cain foils their plans for fast cash. Belle annoys me. Seriously. Watching her moan and groan over Lisa considering selling that shack they live in along with Zak having moved on irks my nerves. The scene with Daniel/Laurel/Ashley tugged at my heartstrings. It only got worse when Laurel realized that Ashley was lying about remembering the wedding to ease Laurel's apprehension. Just too painful.

RHOMelbourne S03E05 link: I am sorry but Gamble is an idiot. This wedding was laced with failure before it even started. Why the f-ck didn't she hire a REAL party planner? Hello, Chyka is sitting right there!!! Why didn't she ask her to plan the wedding?! *sighs* So stupid.... Who hires their dress designer to plan the wedding too? And for him to not know that they needed a podium on the sand for the guests, wedding party, and bride and groom along with mics was just stupid. Gamble would've did better had she just asked Gina to plan. Thank God, Gina was there to assist. Gina is my girl so IDC about her being big-headed. That's Gina. I also don't see the harm in her ditching Gamble's get-together to go watch Celebrity Apprentice. I am sure that Gina, like most reality show stars, was obligated to live tweet. It is in a lot of their contracts, so she had to go and watch the episode. If Gamble gets butt hurt over that then oh well. Gina only upset me when she talked about herself when Gamble and Rick were signing the marriage license, but again, that's Gina. When the celebrant changed the subject back to the wedding, Gina dropped it. Moving on, I cannot stand that b-tch, Jackie. I never liked her ass but this episode just solidified it. She's like a rampant dog when it comes to any and everything Gina. She can't stand that she can phase Gina like she does others (Lydia, Pettifleur), so like a dog with a bone, she always has to come for Gina. I typically don't care for Pettifleur but how Jackie talked to her pissed me off. I wanted Petti to reach across the table and ram that bitch's head into the table. Jackie is a f-cking twat and I cannot wait for the day that she gets her comeuppance. Plus, I am over her 'psychic readings.' That sh-t is farce. Like Gamble said, she just simply states the obvious. Lydia is a moron for trying to appease Jackie. Screw, Jackie. I don't care for Lydia that much either but forget Jackie. Who made Jackie God in this group? I enjoy Janet when she is not with Jackie, but when she is, I quickly go back to hating her. Good to see that Gina gives them bitter trollops the business next week. They act like Gina missed the damn wedding. She just skipped dinner and drinks. It ain't that serious.

Coronation Street: Discussion Thread
I want Nick to forgive Carla too and Tracey end up with the short end of the stick. However, we know that won't happen. Carla will be tarred and feathered alongside Tracey, but Carla will escape Weatherfield while Tracey rightfully consumes all the heat. I don't mind Anna but I find her to be shrewish. Her constant makeups and breakups with Kevin are annoying. Either slap them together or tear them apart for good. It's annoying. I am hoping that they don't tear apart Sally/Tim with this council story. Yeah, I expect division to occur between the because of Sally's new job, but I hope it doesn't lead to Tim finding solace elsewhere. I can't take another affair story. I'd actually like to see them talk it out and for Sally to be conflicted. Does she want her new job or save her marriage? And for Tim--is he willing to accept Sally's new job and all that it comes with or will he put his foot down and demand Sally to choose?

I love Remy/Pap. They were the ONLY saving graces on this show. Now I need them to get off this show quickly. I'd actually need Peter/Amina/Tara to get the boot out of everyone. Glad that Cardi goes in on Peter b/c he (and all the other dudes on stage) have long needed to be read down. I thought the reunion needs to be more cohesive. I thought it was all over the place.

Coronation Street: Discussion Thread
I actually like Kylie and Freddie's growing friendship. If is one of the few highlights of the show. It's adorable to see a young character latch onto an older character and watch them establish a friendship. It's that generational storytelling I miss on US soaps. I was NOT here for Aiden, Eva, and the immigrant story. That story was stupid from the start.

Good. Glad she has thrown in the towel as she brought nothing to the show. Especially, with Chris getting into it with various cast members and their friends on social media about his sexuality. Eileen's marriage is gonna crumble if she signs on to do another season; her husband seems so over this If they were smart, they'd snag her.

Kenya has some acne problems but it isn't something the average human being doesn't suffer from. Her skin has actually gotten better in recent years. People dangle this over her head like it is Damocles sword. Porsha stays lying. Next week, she claims Kenya slept with a one-eyed African, yet previously disputed (along with Nene and Phaedra) that Kenya's 'African prince' was false. So what is it? Is he real or not? That's my issue with these hoes is that they aren't consistent in their lies.
-
Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
No one is disputing that does have bad skin but it ain't like the other women have pristine skin either. If anyone has tons of makeup caked on their face, they'd look good too. Like I said before, I think Kenya was more pissed about the 'dark' comment, which is not OK.

When did Andy drag her? When he said, "Oh I'm not Kim Fields," or him calling her out for texting during the reunion when Kim was rambling on and on? Those weren't drags. Those were poor attempts of Andy's bitchy ass trying to inject himself into the drama. It just showed how much of a twat he is, and how too involved Andy gets in the women's business. He can't even be objective anymore. He needs to step down as host of the reunions. His biases are becoming too obvious and has been for years. It's obvious, his agenda last night to make Kim Fields 'so fetch' even though ALL the women sat on the sofa and openly said that Kim don't need to be on the show as she brings nothing to the table. Honestly, I'd prefer if someone like Wendy Williams host future reunions. At least her ass is objective and will equally call out everyone. Andy NEVER calls out Phaedra or Porsha on their mishaps, but stays on Kenya and even Nene at times and it is total bulls--t. I was glad when Kenya finally took a shot at him b/c Andy stays throwing shade but expecting no one to throw it back. Honestly, I think all of the women, with the exception of Cynthia (who didn't talk much) and Sheree, came off as unfavorable. Yeah, Kenya edged ahead of the others but the other 4 (Porsha, Phaedra, Kim, Kandi) were right on her ass. Also, I thought her face was beat last night. I thought she looked good. I think it is low-class for people to bring up her skin issue as if everyone else is walking around with spotless skin. No, neither of those were Andy dragging Kenya. His read was when Kenya insinuated that Kim was just a child star, and Andy replied that she's worked plenty since then. Kenya tried to dismiss that by saying "Yeah, in the 90s." and Andy shot back with "Yeah, well you were Miss USA in the 90s, too..." Sheree and Kandi even both commented on it and said Andy got a good read in. It's funny how when Nene went on about Peter not getting involved in "women business", y'all said she was a fool. But when Andy is involved in women's business and it's targeted at your favorite, all the sudden men being involved is an issue. *sips tea* As for Kenya's skin, I didn't comment on it from a nasty perspective, I simply commented that her condition seems to be worsening and I genuinely feel bad about that. It's laughable, however, that Kenya would preach about "not speaking on other peoples looks", considering her past comments about Nene's appearance. And, in fact, Kenya later went on to imply that some of the women had no edges and needed her hair care product. Edges/hair are just as much a part of appearance as skin is, so she's really just full of [!@#$%^&*] and pissed, yet again, because she can dish it but not take it. I've never been a fan about Peter getting in the women's business. I don't mind him interject when the women drag him into their mess. Also, I didn't like when Nene called him bitch b/c in Mexico because Peter was telling her actual truth as a friend. Nene was acting like a twat at that charity event and allowed Kenya to pull her card that nice instead of being gracious or playing it off. I've also, been saying for quite some time that Andy is harsher on certain housewives than other. I've been saying that since like season 4 when I actually liked Nene and he was drilling her hard at the reunion. He's always been biased. Look at NJ. He's always gave Teresa heat but never aimed it at Caroline, Jacqueline, or Melissa. Look at NYC. He stays on Ramona's ass but do you ever see him call Luann out? Or Bethenny? Or Carole? Nope. On BH, he gives LVP grief but he never calls Kyle out. He never called Kim out for her antics or Yolanda for her numerous inconsistencies. He picks and chooses who to put the heat on while ignoring others, who commit the same offenses or worse. Andy coming for Kenya's career was a lame read. We all know that Kenya's career wasn't at the same caliber as Kim's but Kenya stayed booking jobs up until the time she joined RHOA. I've Kenya on a plethora of sitcoms in arcs throughout the 90s and early 00s. At the end of the day, work is work. Her resume is longer than others sitting on that sofa. Lastly, some of them heffas don't have edges on that sofa. She wasn't lying. I think Kenya was pissed over the 'dark' comment Phaedra made, which was highly offensive. Phaedra ain't light bright her damn self, so she should tread lightly. Let's be honest, none of them women can dish and take. They all get butt hurt over comments. It ain't just Kenya. Last season when Kenya called Phaedra out about them two balloons on her chest, Phaedra was huffing and puffing like a bull in an arena; she was pissed.

Yes. Chas is long due a life of her own. I was actually enjoying her rekindling her romance with Gordon until they made him a molester. I think it would've been entertaining for mother and son to both be dating ppl they both disapprove of.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Well Phaedra can't talk about anybody's appearance when her new face looks like someone shaved, carved, and molded it together. She looks like a damn gargoyle in the face, so Phaedra needs to tread lightly when it comes to looks. Kenya was right. Phaedra on her best day and Kenya on her worst can't even compare. Kenya blows Phaedra out the water in the looks department. Phaedra need to sit her box-shaped ass down somewhere. She always tries to throw jabs and folks looks but takes her wide ass to the plastic surgeon to get the same procedures she shaded others for. What she needs to work on is that gut. Get that sh-t right. Especially, for someone who lacks a great body but stays squeezing in THOT-wear. Not cute for a so-called respectable, self-professed 'Southern belle' Of course, Phaedra had to go the norm and bring up Kenya not being married but where is Phelony's hubby? Oh yeah. Prison. I'd rather be single and peddling skeet-skeet from a sperm bank than peddling it from a prison yard. Now Kenya was wrong in over-talking people but it wasn't like Kim or Porsha were saying much. But again, she was wrong. Kenya was also wrong in comparing her career to Kim's; however, Kenya has consistently stayed working since the 90s. Might not be at the same caliber as Kim's but work is work, and as Kenya pointed out, Kim can't lord her career over the ladies, which she stayed doing subtly throughout the season, if she's sitting on the same show collecting the same check as Kenya.

I think the story has become more about shock value than it is about a young man having been molested. Honestly, I wish that they would've not given this story to Aaron and just left his history as it was. Aaron is long overdue a happy story. I would've just preferred a story consisting of Robert/Aaron growing close and Chas still protesting it b/c of the Katie incident.

That's nothing new. It just heightens her q-score and shows how polarizing she is. She'll be a sure lock for s9 now. I do have to say that Andy needs to become neutral at the reunions. He gets way too involved and I am not talking about just on RHOA. He does the same with Teresa on NJ, Lisa on BH, and Ramona on NY. He'll overlook certain women shortcomings will drilling it home for others. He needs to read the questions and STFU. And on that note, "You need to shut your mouth, Porsha. If it is not a dick in it, you don't even know what you are saying." So can't wait!

I think RHOBH can be salvaged, but they need to do a major cast overhaul. I say keep LVP and Kyle, but scrap the rest. This show needs to get back to the glitz and glamor element it had in s1. This show took a dark turn in season 2 and has never really returned. I'd try and get Camille and possibly Adrienne back full-time and then go on to find 4 extremely wealthy, new housewives and go from there.- Emmerdale: Discussion Thread
I thought the end was a bit melodramatic, but John Middleton was wonderful, and it did break my heart. I'm glad they had so many positive things beforehand, and a happy wedding. I felt awful for Harriet having to marry them, but at least it gave her some closure. Bob's presence reminded me that he was in love with her for about 3 weeks. I'm so glad that was dropped. I loved Kerry accusing her of sabotaging the wedding, and seeing Kerry grinding in the background, and so on. She's such a fun character. That vicar, Ben, is hot. I hope they keep him around. I can't stand Joanie and Zak as a couple and I'm tired of seeing them together. I desperately want Rhona and Paddy to split, and they don't, but Zak and his side piece are now shackled. Ugh. I couldn't really watch any of the Andy/Chrissie or Liv spy stuff. I'm so uncomfortable with how they've handled Aaron's story. Thanks for sharing that video! I thought vicar Ben was hot too. I hope he sticks around too. It's killing me to know that John Middleton/Ashley's time is winding down. Question, was it his decision to leave? IDK how I am gonna cope w/o Ashley being there. Emmerdale always kills off my faves. Carl and now Ashley.... *sighs* I actually like Joanie and Zak. I just hate that they give a f-ck about what the other villagers say. Especially, the Dingles. I wish that Joanie would stop being so apologetic. I am loving Kerry too. She's one of the bright spots on this show. Just pure comedy. She's made me grow to like Dan, who I didn't care for in the beginning b/c he was part of that dreadful Spencer clan.- Emmerdale: Discussion Thread
@DRW50, did you enjoy the Laurel/Ashley wedding? I thought it was cute and I was touched to see Harriet step up and perform the ceremony. That showed real character growth tonight. Olivia (Aaron's sister) helping out Gordon is just icky. I am not shocked that the writers went this route. I somewhat predicted it while watching the other day. Andy and Chrissie are just gross. I don't find this coupling to be appealing at all. I did find the scene where Sam saw naked to be the only funny thing about their scenes. The ending broke my heart but I should've known it was gonna happen. At least Ashley's final thoughts were at an all-time high. I wanted to cry for Laurel.- Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
RHOP is filming their reunion today:- EastEnders: Discussion Thread
I really do wonder if this Hubbard story is what got DTC out the door. Surely they didn't plan for the big "death" to only last a week? It smells of rewrites. Nothing is ever Stacey's fault. The same mental illness that allows her to murder people and let her husband commit suicide for it also causes her to drop her panties for her friend's boyfriend. Martin has to forgive her because if he doesn't, viewers might not get the memo. I'd also guess that this is to set up Stacey again cheating on him with Kush or Ryan, because Stacey is now all but forced to stay with a man she does not like or love. Now that she's done with her thrilling "Are You There God? It's Me, Stacey Slater" saga, she has to find some type of pole to smoke. Wait until Kush or Ryan are dating another woman - then it's time to light 'em up. Martin is now Bradley 2.0 in every way. I can't bother with the Carter stuff as long as Shirley is involved. Do you think there was a rewrite b/c burying Claudette in the basement was so similar to the Calum plot on Corrie? I never got why DTC thought it was bright to emulate a similar plot that is currently occurring on another soap. Oh you already know that Stacey will be written as a saint for now until like you said, Kush or Ryan (once he is released from prison) find another woman. She'll then toss her equipment around to get all the attention b/c all the men must pine and love Stacey Slater. I swear they act like this character is some Helen of Troy when she is far from it. So agree that Martin is now the new Bradley. His whole existence is being Stacey's lapdog. So sad because Martin is a character that has so many ties to so many people on the Square and we hardly see him interact with those people. He's so isolated that it is sad. Shirley isn't the only annoying party in the daily woes of the Carters. Mick, Buster, and Linda are just as annoying too. I normally can't stand Nancy either but I actually find her endearing with this plot. Like I've said before, I hope the character leaves with her giving Mick her ass to kiss, but we know that won't happen. DTC will make St. Mick forgive Nancy, and Nancy gratefully accept it.- EastEnders: Discussion Thread
Why is Kush still on the show? I can't bear to look at him much anymore. Sucks because I actually adored him when he first came on and pursued Shabnam. He's just so weak and spineless that many of the other men on this show. Speaking of weak men, I knew Martin would bend and go to Stacey. It irks my nerves how Stacey can do the unthinkable and all is forgiven. She never pays for her sins. Bradley, Max, Ryan, Kush, and now Martin excuse her actions. It's annoying. That's why I always preferred Janine and Chelsea b/c they were the few that called Stacey out on her sh-t. I cracked up laughing when Shirley had the gall to give Mick parental advice and not having anger towards one's child. I guess she forgot about Deano despite his unthinkable sin. I seriously hate the Carter clan and wish they'd go. I thought the scenes with Claudette, Vincent, and Donna were good, but it is obvious that Claudette will return down the line. Especially, when Gavin brings his withered faced ass back.- Ryan's Hope Discussion Thread
Yeah. I am noticing in a lot of the 1983 episodes that Delia is still itching to be with Frank given the way he's treated and dogged her from reading a lot of synopsis on the show. I don't get that. After two bad runs with the Ryan's clan (Pat & Frank), you'd think she'd run for the hills. I'm sure it had to be frustrating for people to watch. From reading synopsis from '81, I actually don't mind Kimberly. But again, I haven't seen much from her time on the show. I've read that a lot of hardcore RH fans felt she ate the show a lot during that time.- Ryan's Hope Discussion Thread
@vetsoapfan and @DRW50 do you both think that b/c so many of the characters were major turn-offs that it partially had something to do the show's waning ratings throughout it's history? Plus, I find it horrible to hear that Maeve, who is supposed to be a matriarch, would do something to cruel by giving Delia false stocks tips, thus causing her to lose her money. - Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
