Ben/Jack could be hot but with Ben being a Mitchell, that'd still keep Jack in whiny Ronnie's orbit. Scott Maslen should've just stayed off the show and pleaded with the producers of The Royals to make his character a regular. I agree that Jamie may only make the leap when they push him off the show and I wouldn't be surprised if it is within the next year. I hope with the poll on Walford Web, the top 50 characters aren't from the past 3-4 years.

That bothers me too in recent years. I hate how DTC has looked down on characters that aspired to achieve more than working on a stall in the Square. I hate how Tamwar and Abi, both academic characters who had big dreams, have been reduced just another person content with staying Albert Square working for the minimum for the rest of their lives. That wasn't them and their ambitions is what endeared me to them. The perfect story for Abi would've been for to be conflicted with her friends on the Square and her collegiate friends. That would've been interesting for me to see Ben and Jay (as her friends) feel left behind b/c they don't mesh well with Abi's new friends. That is a story that everyone can identify with. There are thousands of other college tales that Abi could've involved with. Not strapped with some baby and using it to keep the closeted gay in her clutches. I swear someone on EE watches American soaps. They have to. This is Will/Gabi/Sonny, Fish/Kyle/Stacy, or Noah/Luke/Ameera all over again. I am with @DRW50 that Abi can go. Honestly, I'd prefer if all the Brannings minus Dot would leave. That family has been maxed out and there is nothing left for them to do on this show. Love Jake Wood but I don't want Max back (sorry Carl). They write the same 2-3 stories for him--him floundering around and screwing various women on the Square OR pining for Tanya or Stacey, both who he has toxic history with. Jack's only story is him in a vortex of suck with Ronnie. He had potential with Sharon but it was shot to hell b/c Sharon was written stupidly. Besides that, his best (and sexiest) pairing was with Chelsea. Lauren's story consists of a bottle and it results in something stupid. Love Jacqueline Jossa but she needs to try her hand at something else. Try a nice period piece, drama, or comedy on British TV or try your hand at Hollywood. She's young and talented and many of her peers (Ben Hardy, Sam Strike, David Witts) have successfully made the leap. It's now or never. Abi can just go. Like Carl said, I don't think Lorna is that great of an actress either but I think she needs to try her hand at Hollywood now too. Anything to get her off the show. I think we all can agree that the next one to leave and become a hit here in the US is Jamie Borthwick, and like you've all said, it'll be on EE b/c they won't give Jay anything to do. Sadly, Jay is the one youthful character that could serve as the centerpiece for the next generation of EE but he won't be allowed. They'll continue to treat him as a stray until Jamie leaves, which will then serve them right.

I like Vincent when he is toned down and playing comedy opposite Kim or doting dad with Pearl. I don't mind Claudette that much either b/c she serves as a foil to Kim and is the traditional, manipulative soap mother-in-law. I just don't care for her backstory, which retconned EE's history. What bothered me tonight was watching Abi screw Lee just to trap Ben. Now we have to watch 9 months of this lying, irrelevant whore keep up this lie b/c DTC has this major hard-on on making her the next Janine and Zoe hybrid character. Girls using babies to trap men stories don't bother me that much because it is normal, but this one truly does annoy me b/c it is once again another obstacle to keep Ben from being a fully gay character. I think Ben being out and dating Paul with Phil objecting would serve as enough of an obstacle for the pairing. Having Abi trying to trap Ben is disgusting and pisses me off. I'd rather other gay characters serve as obstacles over a straight woman, who is trying to force her love on a man who'll never love her. Doesn't help that Babe's bobblehead ass is involved too.

They are barely on though…I don't know why they were hired if they weren't available. Michelle is rarely seen. The other day she was on GMA….I was like WTF is she doing there and not on The View? I think Whoopi said Michelle isn't on that much b/c of ABC. I prefer Michelle not be on at all.

I seriously with they'd dump Michelle (with her unfunny ass), Raven (with her dumb ass), and Candace (with her Bible thumping ass) off the panel. I can deal with Paula at times but she at least brings it. Bring back Elizabeth (even though I loathed her ass) and replace the other two with Sunny and Sarah.

They would've died to get a portion of what Eileen got tonight. But while we are on Eileen, I didn't like when she said that Kathryn was not smart to relay what Erika said about LVP. Again, they are better than me. I would've been told Yolanda where she and her 'illness' can shove it.

@Cat & @DaytimeFan, isn't it refreshing that Melbourne is back! Jesus, I have never been so glad to have this show back. IMO, the international shows (Melbourne & Cheshire) have been destroying the homegrown shows by a country mile.

I will give you that Kenya apologized to Cynthia and maybe that was sincere. I didn't hear her apologize about any of the gay stuff. Maybe I missed it. This season really just appears to be the dismantling of Ken Mora. But you'll probably never see that, just as I supposedly didn't see it when Nene was allegedly dismantled in season 6. Lol. She did apologize to Kim. It wasn't the apology Kim wanted but she did it. It was more than what the other women did. None of them owned their parts in it and all placed blame on Kenya. I was glad that Andy called Nene out on WWHL, and I am sure he'll do the same on Thursday when they film the reunion with Porsha and Phaedra. My whole issue with Kim is that she feels that only Kenya deserves a 'read.' Wrong. If you gonna read one person then read them all. Nene, Porsha, and Phaedra deserved a read. Kim's husband was the only one that dished a nice/nasty read out to the other three (see below): And Kenya has been 'dismantled' so many time that it's old. I honestly don't see her catching any flack at this reunion except for the usual. I don't see Nene really coming for Kenya as she's over their rivalry, which she showed on WWHL. Sheree likes Kenya even though she fakes that she doesn't. Cynthia will cry and express that Kenya hurt her but they'll get over it. Kandi likes Kenya so there's no drama there. Phaedra and Kenya might exchange a few words (re: the Miami incident) but it won't be too toxic and dark like previous seasons. Porsha and Kenya hardly interacted so they have no reason to even talk. Only thing these women will pile up on Kenya on is Chris-is-gay-gate, which Andy will call the other women out and lessen the blow. Kim will play aloof and take the so-called high road do herself in. She'll get the DeShawn/Claudia treatment and get one season. I truly don't see this reunion being toxic like past ones. Only person with a major chip on their shoulder is Kim and all of the women want her gone.

F-ck Potomac. Melbourne blew them all out the water with this premiere. I don't even know where to begin.... Lydia is clearly the pot-stirrer this season, which is funny because she was the irrelevant one last season. I guess she realized she had to step her game up to remain on the show and boy did she. Lydia was bouncing around setting everything on fire. For once, I found her to be useful. I actually felt something for her. I still don't like her but I don't hate her. Whoever found Susie deserves a medal. I love how she has preexisting history with Gina, Chyka, Janet, and Lydia, which meshes her into the group better than before. Susie was the MVP this episode as she was dropping bombs left and right on Lydia. Susie confirmed what we've all said about Lydia for the past two seasons--she aligns herself with who she can use at the time. Season one, it was everyone but Gina. Season two, it was everyone but Gamble. This season, she wants to align with Gina and Gamble while tossing everyone else under the bus. Just scandalous. These rumors with Lydia and the cricket player.... I somewhat believe it. Lydia protested a bit too much. I did research on him and he is known to be a lothario. Plus, he did try and hook up with Janet too, so.... Pettifleur is an idiot. How can she blame Gamble about being sued when all Gamble did was warn her that Omarosa had a book out by that title already? Going on and calling her a sugar baby is stupid and pointless. If Rick and Gamble like, Pettifleur should love it. It ain't her business. I like how Gina/Pettifleur mended fences. Shows how mature both women are. I do think together that these two can be a power duo to the other women. I was cracking up at the end how Gina, who is normally in fights, was for once not involved in the battles and was sitting in the other room with Chyka. What annoyed me during the fight was how Jackie, who I've NEVER liked, kept inserted her melon head ass in the fights. Jackie annoys me to no end. Overall, this season looks like it is gonna have great potential and all the women are gonna bring it. This just shows why 8 is the magic number on these housewife shows. @Cheap21

I would've loved for Lillian to have died over Maureen, and for Maureen to make Ed's life hell, but oh well. At least Rhona is fulfilling that fantasy for now.

For one, I am not surprised that Norris threw his hat into the ring to run for Councilman against Sally. It was only time before he jumped ship. I wonder how Mary is gonna factor into the campaign. Is Sally gonna reach out and get her to become her campaign manager, or will Mary throw her own hat into the ring? Anna's overreaction to Phelan staying was pure camp and not in a good way. At this point, I think it is time for either Anna to come clean about Phelan or to try and get rid of him. Her pouting up and down the Street is getting old. Carla and Tracy.... Carla has been reduced to an idiot. She could so easily flip this on Tracy and get her off her back by simply threatening to pursue Rob if Tracy even thinks of blabbing the truth to Nick. The attraction is already there between Carla and Rob. It'll take nothing for her to woo him from insecure Tracy. Carla allowing Tracy to hold the cards are pathetic. Alya's new friend is OK. She didn't impress me. I can see now that she'll probably be the cliche Corrie tart/slapper that starts off liking poor Zeedan and screwing her way through the Street. She already comes off as dodgy and fickle as she was flirting with Andy too. There's potential to the warming up to her but I doubt it. Maybe Kate Oates will find a way to make her more endearing.
