EastEnders: Discussion Thread
@DRW50: I thought the Stacey/Peggy scenes were clunky too. I really didn't need Peggy giving Stacey advice to marry Martin. It just made no sense. I feel like they just threw in a scene with Stacey/Peggy to latch Stacey on to the hot story. Again, I would've preferred seeing Peggy and Sharon clash then hash out their difference. I feel like this is a major beat that should've been played. I am with you on how they are just not bringing Louise and Ben into the fold. This would've been the perfect story to make the audience somewhat care for Louise and they have squandered it. Her crying when Peggy pass won't do it. Not for me at least. re: Danniella, I knew that but if the rumors of her being unprofessional are true, I think it'll cut off any chance of her returning in the future.

Not surprised if true. Bet they wish they would've brought back Kim Medcalf. http://www.mirror.co.uk/tv/tv-news/danniella-westbrook-axed-eastenders-after-7979008

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
RHOCheshire s3e7: Ampika: I was moved by her honesty this episode. I understand why Ampika has a wall up with these group of women b/c they are judgmental and don't try and understand her. I do think the only two she's been able let her guard with are Magali and Lauren. She can't really do so with Lauren b/c she is occupied with her own issues. Magali really needs to come back and be here for Ampika. Misse: Yup. This bitch is thisclose to surpassing Dawn in the dislike department on this show. She was an utter judgmental cow on tonight's episode. It all makes total sense b/c she's so insecure that she'll lose her man to another woman. It ain't gonna be Ampika. Plz get rid of Misse. Stacey: Meddlesome, but it makes total sense as to why. Her saying her husband works all the time highlighted why she is always up in other's Koolaid. I wouldn't be surprised if her man is fooling around on her. Leanne: Again, I am gradually growing to like her this season now that she isn't an extension of Dawn. I do appreciate that she was the only one defending and understanding Ampika. Seema: I still like Seema, but she was a bit of a twat tonight. Her redeeming quality was that she was sympathetic to Ampika. I do think she likes Ampika but doesn't know how to take her. Dawn: Meh... I grew tired of her whining over the Paris trip. It ain't that damn serious, and nobody is trying to take Leanne from you. If anything, Leanne is trying to run far away from you now that your common enemy (Magali) is off the show. Lauren: Good to see her find some joy and fun while going through hard times. Lauren is a trooper. She always keeps her head up and stays optimistic. Glad she is not making a big deal out the Paris trip. If you've been there, you've done that. Tanya: Was she even on tonight?

Episodes like this makes me miss the Hughes family. Nancy reminded me so much of my own grandmother and how strong she was when my grandfather passed. She just knew she had to hold together for the family.

As The World Turns Discussion Thread
Well they should've kept the two this way going years forward. I don't mind MB's Lily during this time b/c she was at least a brat but not as preachy as she'd later become. When it comes to Holden, there are no complaints from me about him in the episodes I am watching as of late. I like him being lustful and raunch and I am questioning why Lily didn't jump his bones sooner. Especially, when he was on that bed shirtless, stroking that cat. I (personally) would've gotten rid of the cat and had some alone time with Holden.

Uh was Holden always a little freaky bastard in his original run? I found it weird how he toyed with Lily and told her to say she was his 'slave.' At least he wasn't a stick in the mud then.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
I always knew that Vicki and Tamra would reunite. They always do. However, I don't believe they'll ever be as close as before. I think the only reason Tamra made up with Vicki (and Heather too) b/c despite Vicki catching flack for the Brooks situation, they did too. I don't believe Shannon has forgiven Vicki despite photos. She'll always hold a grudge against with Vicki. She's just going against the grain b/c she knows she'll quickly be the target if she doesn't. Seriously though, I don't expect much from this upcoming season of RHOC. I still feel like they should've brought back Gretchen, Alexis, and Lizzie to stir the pot. All three of those women supported Vicki openly post season and all of them have beef with the other three aforementioned. Gretchen and Tamra can't stand each other. Alexis still loathes Tamra. Lizzie and Shannon fell out when Lizzie supported Vicki. Alexis and Heather never liked each other... So much potential if Bravo just brought those women back. Plus, I would've loved to seen Alexis and Gretchen patch up their friendship, AND watched the budding friendship with Gretchen and Lizzie, who do business together. You know Tamra would've seethed over the young, gorgeous Lizzie and Gretchen bonding and being everything Tamra isn't. With Dallas, it is somewhat becoming interesting but not enough to be must see for me. I think they'll probably be like Potomac when it gets good at the reunion. However, Dallas doesn't get a fraction of the ratings that Potomac did. They've been below a 1.0 since the first episode. I don't see Bravo going ahead with a season 2. Still think they should've revived Miami, which was making more than what Dallas does.

Well I am glad she is more subtle in her endgame even though (as I said before) I wished her and Sharon locked horns one final time before mending fences.

I was actually impressed tonight. I've been impressed with how they've handled Peggy's situation tonight. Peggy has never been my favorite as I always loved to hate her. She'd be OK at times but I always sided with Pat or Sharon in her rifts with people. However, Peggy has always been a character I cared for. One of the few Mitchells (Ben, Grant, & Lola being the others) that I've cared for. Her scenes with Dot were hard. You just knew that Dot knew that this was the last time she might see Peggy alive. Dot was so in-tune with what was going on, and I just wanted Peggy to come clean with her. I did understand why she didn't because she most likely didn't want Dot to fret and hover over her like Phil already is. That goodbye exchange between them made my eyes well up. It truly was the closing of a chapter on this show as Dot is now the last matriarchal character standing of the old EastEnders. Again, I had to withhold my tears when Peggy and Phil sailed down the Thames. Even though it was mean to be depressing, it was lush and beautiful seeing all the sites of London again. Makes me wanna collect the funds and go back. I thought Sharon, Kathy, and Shirley's scenes were cute too. It did piss me off when Louise's foul ass had to come in and ruin a sentimental moment by being a bitch, which is what she referred to the other women ass. I truly wish that someone would come and whoop this little girl's ass. Ole' mannish skank... I do wish that they'd go ahead and inform everyone else of Peggy's situation instead of drawing it out. I also wish that we would've seen Sharon and Peggy have one last standoff (which should've occurred her first night back) before they both extend olive branches and become good with each other. I caught that too b/c Kathy was where when it occurred, but she acted like she didn't remember. That was one of my few gripes about tonight. It wouldn't kill them to have re-watched the scene again before referencing it.

I can't root for her either because of the same reason. I hope Sean O'Connor fixes Belinda and sets her sights elsewhere. I just hate how a show that once depicted strong women currently have none on the canvas. All of them are weak damsels that need a man to save or fulfill them. In most recent cases, that man to save them is Saint Mick.

But it is home to her family members. She still has some connection to Walford, which would provide her a reason to be against Neville's CostMart deal if they went this route.

Good for Lisa. If she returns to BH next season, I hope something like this serves as her story. At least for her new restaurant. I'd rather watch Lisa build and remodel a new restaurant than watch a witch hunt against her. Nothing kills your enemies more than them seeing you succeed.

EastEnders: Discussion Thread
Phil was a total prat this entire episode. How dare he beg and plead Peggy to fight when his ass can't even fight to keep his lips from being wrapped around a liquor bottle? Glad Ronnie called him out over his attempt to bully Peggy into doing what he wants. Belinda's climax was predictable. Of course, Neville was a bad husband, Mick came to the rescue, and Belinda had to take the word of the wise sage that is Linda. When Linda went on that tangent about marriage, I gagged. I'm all for a stable marriage on this show, but not when it is force fed to us every damn episode. We get it. Linda and Mick won't engage in an affair and they are rock solid. No need to sell it to us constantly. Primary rule to storytelling is showing not telling. Clearly, DTC and his writers missed that day of Creative Writing. Just a simplistic scene like him rubbing Linda's feet, like he did, would sell me. Not them constantly having to tell us what marriage signifies. Now that Neville is out the picture (for now), I hate now how they are gonna make Belinda pursue Mick now, so Linda can once again be a victim. I would've simply preferred if Belinda had just left Neville over the CostMart deal. Walford was her home--is the home of many of her family members. Her simply leaving her husband over him gentrifying Walford would've served enough reason to place Belinda back on the Square. It would've been more entertaining for her to lead the pack alongside Buster to prevent CostMart from coming in rather than making Neville a perverted old goat--a move to depict how Mick is the ideal man and husband. Nice to see Sonja express her real reason for not wanting the mastectomy--that being that she doesn't not want to lose her breasts, which define her womanhood. Compelling piece work even though I didn't need her to go get drunk to divulge her fear.

Technically, I know it'll never be over but we won't have to watch Aaron sob for the foreseeable future. I thought Emma was a hoot tonight. I knew when he didn't cut that intercom off, Emma knew his secret. I am glad she is not going to do the cliche thing (too) and get him fake her ailment. I'm glad he's gonna just imply that he has more test he has to run on her.

I knew it! I knew Emma was gonna blackmail the doctor into lying for her. I doubt she has long as Cain is hot on the trail of who Belle was fooling around with. Diane's scenes were cute. Nice to have her rethink wanting to close this chapter in her life and start a new one. I don't blame Chas for wanting Diane to stay over Charity, who'll constantly serve as a headache. I really didn't care for Aaron's story. I am glad it wrapped up and Gordon is gone to prison. I hope this is the last time we hear about this.

The whole story is pointless. At least the Neville/Belinda portion of it, and Buster having tried to vandalize their home.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
I think Misse is the only one that doesn't integrate into the group well. Seema and Stacey integrate fine as they do have preexisting relationships with many of the women. Misse can go next season when they bring Magali back. In other news, why did my shady ass tweet have to show up on TV?

Belinda and her spouse, Neville, are creepy. Make sense now why Belinda is so overtly sexual as they are swingers, and Neville is 'fluid.' but why Linda and Mick? Those would be the last 2 I'd wanna swing with. I'll give credit where it is due. I thought EE had two powerful scenes tonight. One being Ronnie looking on as Sal and Peggy hugged each other. I think that it mirrored how Ronnie and Roxy should be. The second being the last scenes where Sonia and Peggy got their results back. We saw Sonia get a new lease on life while Peggy got a death warrant. Very powerful. Good job, DTC. One of the few things you got right.

Buster and Lee going to the house of the owner of CostMart was so stupid. That wasn't going to stop the man from going ahead with plan to open a store in Walford. Plus, why does Carly have to lust after ugly ass Mick? I swear DTC is determined to make Mick the center of the universe. He's all-knowing, tough, a great 'dad' and husband, and now other women lust for him. So stupid. Good to see Peggy come back. Let's get this show on the road.

Not true, Mitch. The videos of the scattering of Alan's ashes and Lewis boys fishing are available online. Definitely different locations. The Lewises were shown fishing in a brook (likely filmed in Peapack). Alan's ashes were scattered from a beach along a lake (likely Lake Mohawk in Sparta, NJ, which was the filming location for the double weddings). Brooks like the one Guiding Light used are quite common in that area of New Jersey (my late aunt lived right next to one) and are quite popular for fishing. LOL..it looked like a good old midwestern drainage ditch to me!! Speaking of Alan's ashes...why the hell would Buzz Cooper be sticking his fat head in the scene? First he takes over the Billy Van wedding with his open maw gum chewing and then Alan's funeral. Why did they not kill Buzz off..I would have gone off happy! I never saw the cornfield opening and I don't know who half those people are!!! Shows how invested in the show I was. I totally would've been fine with Buzz being killed off. It would've been poetic justice in a sense as rumors were that Ellen Parker/Maureen was fired so they could pay for Justin Deas/Buzz. They killed the wrong Cooper (Coop) the last year of the show. When did you stop watch the show, Mitch?

RHOCheshire s3e6: I'm just gonna do an analysis of what I feel about the women on this episode: Leanne: Again, I am gradually growing a like her a bit as she's starting to think for herself. However, I am over her whining about Seema not having a seat for her on a private jet. You got there (via Ampika). Be happy. What I didn't understand was why these women even need a damn private jet to get to Paris? When I studied abroad in London, I simply took the English Channel via the Eurostar train to Paris. It was quick, comfortable, and cheap. Stacey: Messy bitch. I still like her but she is messy a f-ck. I didn't like when she implied that Ampika couldn't pay for plane on her own b/c of her occupation. How would she know? I hate when another bitch tries to count your coin. Tend to yours and leave everyone else's alone. For all we know, Marc probably pulled some strings and got the jet. Seema: Still love her. I love how she pays Leanne dust about the private jet situation. Seema gives no f-cks and who can blame her with that fine ass husband and eldest son. Yum! Dawn: Same thing, different week. I grow tired of her playing the 'woe is me' card. If she'd just accept her bitchiness and get a backbone, I might grow to like her a bit. Lauren: So unfortunate about her situation but I like how she is dealing with it with grace. Most women would smear their exes but she is choosing to take the higher road. I hope she finds peace in whatever decision she makes. Personally, I hope she reconciles with Paul as they are a perfect match. Tanya: I felt like she was old Tanya again--season one Tanya. She's so much more enjoyable when she isn't under Dawn's thumb. Misse: I can't stand this bitch. I liked her at first but she nuked any chance when she came for Ampika over some sh-t that had NOTHING to do with her. Plus, I can't stand an insecure b-tch. Girl, get over it. Men lusting over your man comes with the territory. He's a public figure and it's gonna happen until he dies. If a woman wants your man bad enough, and your man is eager enough to entertain it, it is going to happen. You can't fight it. Bye, Misse. Lame ass. Ampika: My favorite! I love how she gave Misse the business with ease. Sucks though that she's gonna allow Misse to get to her next week.
