  1. Marina and Mallet was gross as he was her godfather and uncle at one point. It just frustrated me watching them try and sell this pairing. In soaps, there are should be some boundaries and this was one of the times it was crossed. GL just became one major incest cesspool by the end of the show. I enjoyed RB as Mallet too, but I loved him only with Dinah. Didn't BE supposedly try and proposition RB or something along that nature? The rumors and smut going on behind the scenes of GL the last 3-5 years was way more interesting than what was occurring onscreen.
  2. I hated any story they gave Gilly after nixing her supposed pairing with Alan Michael. That story with her messing with that man that became her daddy ... gross! She should've been in a cameo at the end too. The Grants & Speakes were a bright spot for GL in the early 90s. Michael Dempsey was hot but he was no Alan Michael. I thought Alan Michael's return story was stupid too. I just never would picture him doing stuff he did his last run. Especially, bedding Marina. Wasn't she once believed to be his child? That reminds me how they had Craig boinking Dani on ATWT. That sh-t pissed me having seen old clips of Craig loving that girl as his daughter. Gross and pure lazy storytelling.
  3. (re: Lucy) True. At first I did, but I grew to like Lucy on her own thanks to the Brent Lawrence story and her romance with Alan Michael, which at first pissed me off b/c I wanted Gilly/Alan Michael. During that whole time period, I will never understand how GL didn't persuade Ric Hearst back as he was practically gone off GH by then. Around that same time, they stupidly didn't snag Vincent Irizarry back from AMC but whatever. I don't think the whole Peapack shooting would've appeased to them anyways. Speaking of returning characters at the end, I so wish that GL would've brought Amelia Marshall/Gilly back. I missed Gilly, Fletcher, Holly, Nick, Roger, etc. at WSPR and Springfield Journal. Those were the days.
  4. Yes, he was a sanctimonious ass but I just grew used to it. I was NOT here for Josh becoming a minister. I hated that story. I somewhat wish that they would've resisted the Diamonhead Organization and Lewis Oil instead of that crap. Or put Lewis Oil/Construction and Spaulding at war again. Josh needed something to drive him outside of Reva. It was draining watching the 2 go in circles. Oh crap. I forgot about Leanna Lewis. I did enjoy her as a talk show host too b/c it shook up the entire canvas. I didn't mind Cutting Edge on AMC, but much like Reva, I didn't care for Erica being a talk show host. I always felt it was another OTT thing to put Erica in when I felt Enchantment was more up her speed. Oh I'd love for Robert Newman to be on daytime again. Grant too. I was so hoping that pic of him visiting Judi and Vincent on DAYS led to him joining. I think Grant and Kristian [Alfonso] would fire. Anything would be better than her with Rafe. I'd love for Robert Newman to be on Y&R as a love interest for Jill or Ashley, but it'd never happen. This is around the time I too grew tired of Harley. I was glad when Beth Ehlers opted to leave. I was over Harley by then. I waffled back and forth as to whether I'd want the character recast, but by the end, I was OK with seeing the backside of Harley. I am quite surprised they didn't recast though as Kreizman and Wheeler were obsessed with Harley and the Coopers. I am even more shocked they never tried bringing Lucy back.
  5. But his pairing with Cassie was no better. I do think how they marginalized Robert Newman was a crime. That man is the total package. He can act and is still damn sexy. He was also the constant on the show the last 2.5 decades of the show. They should've really centered Josh as a patriarchal figure on the show, and did more stories with him and Billy at Lewis Oil. I forgot Reva was a talk show host. I find that bit so stupid on soaps. Only character on soaps that was a convincing talk show host was Kim with Patterns on ATWT. I just feel that is a job they give larger than life characters on soaps when they can't find crap else for them to do for the time.
  6. I don't blame them, but (again) that's what happen when the characters have nothing to offer more than a pairing. Reva's whole arc since KZ's return was her constantly chasing and trying to keep Josh. Going back and watching KZ's original run on the show, Reva at least had ambitions/jobs. I remember seeing clips of her working at the hospital and later the newspaper during the Kyle era and forming a bond with Fletcher. Reva excelled when she was out her element and interacted with others. I don't ever remember having a damn job from her return or having ambitions. If she did, it was short-lived. They should've kept Reva/Josh together instead of having him go to Cassie. From 2006 onwards, their stories should've centered around Marah/Shayne, (both who should've been brought back years before the finale), and Lewis Oil. This is why I say soaps need to bring back workplace stories.
  7. Every character on these shows need to be able to stand alone and be interesting on their own. That's why I love Emmerdale b/c most of the characters have their own little quirks that make them able to stand on their own and don't need a relationship to do so. US soaps should adapt to that while maintaining romance elements.
  8. This is why soaps need to move away from supercouples and focus on individual character growth/progression. Supercouples become stale by the 3rd or 4th time they are broken up.
  9. Doesn't this promo somewhat seem like the ones Santa Barbara put out with Eden/Cruz?
  10. They still could've tossed SFT a dog bone. Wasn't it CBS oldest show at that point? It's original soap?
  11. True but it's jacked up. I went to go look at the yearly ratings after you post this and SFT was still averaging a 6.7. They dropped to a 2.7 with the move and remained there to the bitter end. Had CBS simply allowed them to announce their move to NBC, SFT might've lasted a bit longer.
  12. Wow. CBS wouldn't allow for them to announce their new network? It's the least they could do. No wonder why the show lost a fraction of its audience in the move.
  13. Exactly. I said I would've showed out had that been me. But whatever. @DaytimeFan, I was just thinking about you watching the OC. RHOC: 1. Meghan saw first hand tonight that the Coven (Heather/Tamra/Shannon) aren't her friends. She was always a number for them and used to bring down Vicki. Had she not been pregnant this season, I think they would've turned their talons on her too. Heather sure did tonight by calling her out about the Glamis incident. 2. Tamra calling Vicki old ... bitch, you ain't a spring chicken your damn self! 3. Shannon looked more guilty when it came to trying to get Kelly to drink. She could explain herself out of that situation to save her ass. 4. Vicki and Kelly need to work on their allegiance to one another. Kelly totally f-cked up and flipped on Vicki a bit towards the end. In my opinion, I think Kelly flipped on Vicki a bit to stick it back to her for the crap in Ireland. 5. I believe Vicki. I believe Shannon got her ass whooped by David b/c she was too belligerent when Vicki brought up that other people heard her. I think Shannon knows it that other people know about David tap dancing on her skull and wants to keep it hush hush. Like I've said before, I see all of this coming ahead if Shannon does not remove her ass from this show, which I know she won't. David better be prepared to be tossed under the bus next season for Shannon's story.
  14. Really?! F-ck! I wish someone would upload those to public domain so we can see them. Me too. I go there to read movie & TV scripts all the time.
  15. There could be archived scripts that P&G kept, but we'll never know. P&G has basically wrapped up tight anything involving their soaps. If anything pops up it is b/c fans got their hands on it and released it, or actors did. I do know that a few years back that some soaps scripts were on Amazon and Ebay being sold, but I am sure they've been bought by now. I love how EastEnders have a small little archive for aspiring writers to look at on their writer's website even though they aren't episodes from the show's start (from about '05). Something is better than nothing. There is a B&B script on SimplyScripts though.
  16. Didn't someone on here awhile back say that a school in California possibly had some? Or was that old footage of the show? It's either or. I think the only script most people will have access to is the one they offered fans with the DVD sale of CarJack's wedding. Luckily, I have that. I doubt this show kept archives of scripts. It'd be better going to the actors and asking if they have any old ones. Just like how Martha Byrne (I think) gave WLS access to her copy of the show's rough draft story bible she got.
  17. RHOA: Production needs to seriously work on bringing this show together cohesively. 1. Kandi's baby daddy girl friend popping up mic'd up is so damn odd. It is obvious that it shocked Kandi and her clique, but production is f-cked up for that. Obvious they pushed this woman into doing that. If they wanted the scene to be more organic, they should've had her walk in not mic'd up. People caught onto that real quick. 2. Anything concerning Lena. Why would we care about scenes with Lena when she isn't an official housewife or friend? That scene was so out of place b/c no one we cared for was in it. See, this is why I say they should sign these women on from the start, so they know where they stand. Cutting all Lena's stuff out has already put a big plot hole in the season that was unnecessary. Moving on, Kenya handled Matt's sister well. I would've grew tired of her coming after me at the lunch. I would've showed out and told her to back the f-ck off. That's just me (who happens to be a hothead). Matt's parents, on the other hand, were a joy. I am not here for Porsha begging her ex to bust a nut in her. Funny that she was cackling alongside Phaedra about 2-3 seasons ago about Kenya unable to get a man to knock her up and begging Walter to do the same, yet she's emulating Kenya's old stories. Bye, Porsha. Kandi's breakdown was sad to watch. It is obvious that Block (Kandi's baby dad) is an arrogant twat and wanted nothing to do with Riley. His actions in that studio alone said it all. He is clearly using Riley to get his girlfriend a spot on the show. That's why she went over to see Kandi. She was hoping this'll get her a spot on the show. I cannot wait for next week to see Kenya v. Sheree (again) with Kenya calling Sheree's wig the same one that Momma Joyce wears. Kandi's reaction to that was everything. She wanted to pop Kenya badly for that comment.
  18. Young Turks post this interesting video a few hours ago: So misogynistic that all these men have hidden emails they don't want uncovered, but Hillary got raked over the coals for it.
  19. (re: NY/NJ) True. I do disagree that the newbies were poor choices. The twins, though I hated them, were a few of the cast members to stand up against Tre, call her on her crap, and not be scared. That 'clink-clink' comment sent Teresa into a tailspin. She didn't like it. What I didn't like about the twins were the spouses. Bobby was a blatant famewhore, and Angelo acted like a knockoff Marlon Brando in The Godfather. I didn't mind Amber either as she was pot-stirrer. My only gripe with her was Jim, who was too aware of the cameras. He was like a poor man's version of Peter (RHOA). He didn't know how to stir the pot right and he stayed disrespecting the women, which was appalling. Yes, they should've skipped bringing Kristen on the show as she brought nothing to the table. The one time she could've (when Josh was wrapped up in that Ashley Madison scandal), she opted not to resign on. The OC did the NY treatment after s8 when Gretchen and Alexis got the boot, and Lydia opted not to sign back on. With TamRat being in trouble with the law for sending those pics, I would think Bravo would wanna get rid of her as a liability but sitting on the idea, I know they won't. This is gonna fuel Vicki v. Tamra this season. I think that with Meghan going, they won't shake up the cast that much, and Kelly will be thrown a reprieve. That's why I say bring back Lizzie/Gretchen. The two are liked by the audience. The two are good friends, which'll provide fun, lighthearted scenes. The two are friends with Kelly/Vicki, which'll provide the two more allies. The two are youthful, which'll drive OC's self-proclaimed 'hottest housewife' (Tamra) into a tizzy. The two are entrepreneurs. Lizzie more than Gretchen but still. The two are of the few that called Tamra on her sh-t and nailed her to the wall numerous times. Plus, this show needs about 7-8 women on the cast. Six just never cuts it with this show b/c there tends to be a filler bullsh--t. I need 7-8 drama queens on this show next season. Kelly saved the show this season. She can't pull the same antics next season as she has to cool off. I think it was drastic (but great) b/c the tone of the show changed. It wasn't so much as toxic (at that time) as the show had became in s4 even though s4 was my favorite season along with s5.
  20. Trump is still out here wheeling and dealing: http://www.nytimes.com/2016/11/20/us/politics/donald-trump-pauses-transition-work-to-meet-with-indian-business-partners.html?_r=1
  21. Hence the reason why this moron [Trump] doesn't need Twitter. He's gonna say or do something so stupid to land in his goofy a** in bigger trouble. I'm fearful the idiot might do something stupid like tweet something confidential to the world to see. He's just that stupid.
  22. Here's my main question--why does this dumbass still have a Twitter?!
  23. I don't get why the show is getting rid of him either. Outside of Buster and Dean, he was the only other interesting Carter. Them having hardly rehearsal time makes sense. It showed. Tilly should've been cast as someone other than Louise. Just so awkward seeing her play younger than what she looks.
