I dont watch any of the us soaps anymore, but it does make me wonder how do you tell a story when 95% of your cast is not on tv for more than half of the month... And the remaining 5% of the cast is on little bit more than half of the month.. Its sad.

Santa Barbara was huge in my country Croatia as well. But mostly in the first few years of its run time. It was airing during the 90s, during our war for independence from Yugoslavia/Serbia, and Santa Barbara was so popular that they even had detailed recaps of the show on radio, because a lot of people only listened to the radio while hiding in the bomb shelters and didn't have TVs. However, the hype for the show died down in the later years, so by the time it finished, not many people watched it and many people ridiculed it for some of the more unrealistic storylines.

Yeah, I was bored by this storyline in the beginning too. Now though I am kind of into it. Curious to see how it unfolds. And I do love Natalie Cassidy and Sonia!

Was it the first time now that they actually showed her? It is as far as I remember, but I could be wrong. lol So maybe since they have an actual actress now, she might be waking up real soon.

Oh, I felt bad for Sonia But I had fun with Reis vs Bianca scenes! Bianca was nasty towards him, but when he called her a bad mother, she got offended lol I am not a Reis fan, but it is getting interesting with his secret money stash and his comatose wife. When do we think she will wake up?? When Sonia gives birth or something?

Catching up with last week and oh... my.... God!!! What??? Cindy and Junior?!?! After George kicks her out?? And WHILE she's on the phone with Ian?!?! Wow! I am shocked. I mean, really soapy, but such a terrible decision on her part. I get that she doesn't want Ian, that's clear. And George rejected her just now. But to go for George's son?? And then from Junior's perspective... they through him at Bianca, then revealed he is married and then he sleeps with his father's ex-wife? I don't get Junior's motivation and reasons at all, so I hope that is explained.

A really good video! I enjoyed it quite a lot. Even though I didn't know Den (I mean, I know who he was, but I never saw his episodes). Very interesting to watch this. Thanks for sharing!

Wow, thanks a lot!! OMG, look at that now.. AMC number one, huge jumps for ABC in general-- Is that due to summer holidays so kids out of school preferred ABC and CBS/P&G soaps were more for older people? So since no VCR or anything, it had to be one or the other...

Well we don't have specific weeks, I suppose, but we do have those monthly recaps that FrenchFan provided to us some time ago. So we could see what was happening in July 76, for example. But yeah, just in general ABC was not doing well. I guess people were really into P&G soaps at the time (plus Y&R)..

Wow, I am shocked at how low GH was. Like, almost last. And not just for one week, but consistently doing bad, being one of the bottom ones. They are lucky all other ABC soaps sucked at that time too, otherwise they would not have been still here today.

Well so I guess Panesars are back to the forefront. Nish came back with some big news. I thought as well he was faking it, but the doctor confirmed it. So I wonder if someone else dies in order for Nish to get a heart in the coming months. I am happy they didn't go back to Zack and Lauren. And also, Lauren vs Cindy is fun lol

I don't watch Y&R anymore, but I used to love Olivia and she is someone that I think should definitely be on the show. How about Tonya Pinkins? I enjoyed her a lot on AMC back in the day.

Could be.. I don't remember anymore the context of those bad comments, it was a long time ago. But I fully agree with you, they should have kept the Masoods (or at least some of them) on the show!! I loved almost all of them. I was hoping Shabnam would come back with this Dean/Jade storyline, but now. They even mentioned Zainab being in Pakistan at one point, it would have been great to have them both come back. And I would not mind an update of Syed and Christian. Btw, how did Zainab, Masood and Tamwar get written off? I think back when I was watching, they were all still on? Or I just forgot their exits.. lol I know Masood was dating Jane at some point... Was not a fan of that pairing, although I loved Jane.

Yeah? Thats great then! But I just know back when she was on the show, I was also on some soap board and people didn't like her. That's why I thought this sentiment remained to this day
