As someone who hasn't watched DAYS for more than a decade, I have to say, this promo even looks... okay? Great to see Hope, Jennifer and Sami.. and Carrie! Never cared about MM's Belle. Nor BB's Shawn. I never understood why they always kept them, but never really used them. Why no one ever tried to recast once again? Are they already writing in Drake's death? Wow. I mean, I know it's 10 years in the future due to their shooting schedule, but still... And I am intrigued that Johnny learns the truth about EJ raping Sami. Seeing as I was watching back then when it actually happened and don't remember it being called a rape (even though it was most certainly was), it's interested they decided to do it now.

Yeah itnwas nice to have him on, even for a week. Especially after having watched today's episode, the quality was jarring lol I miss David already lol I gasped when that happened! I kept expecting him to do something to Kat, but I did not expect that punch in the face. only good thing was that he did look somewhat regretful, so maybe he can be saved?

I started watching 1985 episodes recently, so I will see how it goes with these original characters

Yeah, it was much needed. Junior and Cindy's affair was getting really repetitive and kinda boring. So it was a nice change of pace this week with David getting involved. I didn't see today's episode yet, but I am looking forward to see the continuation of the Wednesday cliffhanger. I wish David was staying longer, I would have been more invested in his character. But he was really fun as a character.

Yesterday's episode was def fun, but I am sure fans who actually watched David/Cindy story unfold were enjoying it more than me. For me, I like David as a character, but knowing he's only here for like a week is hard for me to get attached lol But still, the ending with the proposal and all FOUR of Cindy's men there was really campy and soapy and fun

Didnt they change the last name Jackson into Dupree? Or did I mix it up? Here they mention Jackson again.

Omg, what news to wake up to. I stopped watching Days long time ago, and John was never my favorite character, but there is no denying that Drake was such a charming person, and John was such a lovable guy. I am sure it was Drake real personality that was seeping through into the character of John. RIP Drake. Salem has really lost a big one.

Those are all great points. I hope we don't lose any of them. I especially don't want to see Phil, the gangster nor do I want to lose Yolande or Denise. Love those ladies!! I see. I don't like dark all the time, so I hope he will not take EE in that direction But lets see and hope for the best.

I am glad to hear someone say that they liked what Wadely did on HC!! Do you watch Hollyoaks maybe? Isn't he some producer there as well at the moment? LoL that's for sure I came back 1.5 years ago. I just heard some good comments online about EE. So I guess it's also due to Clenshaw. I will def miss him. I have been enjoying the show in these last year and a half (for the most part).

I wasn't as shocked because I was prepared by everyone at Walford Web message boards, where everyone was talking for weeks that this is coming up because "no producers stays more than 3 years with the show". I was hoping it would be different with Clenshaw, but sadly no. I hope Wadey will be good for the show too.

Makes me sad. I've been enjoying the show so much. I hope the new producer will be equally good or better (Clenshaw was not perfect, so there is def room for Wadey to improve )

I hope so too!! Oh Roya really is a firecracker! And she was perfect cast for Ava. Perry Stephens is such a classic soap hunk. When I think of 80s/90s soap hunks, that him right there. Perfect hair, nice jaw, beautiful face... Another one I always think of in this category: Thorne #1 from B&B (actor's name escapes me now... I remember seeing his pic in the 90s in the news papers when B&B was starting in my country and I was like omg! :D) We should start a topic on the soap hunk who sometimes wore beards I do think Noelle got better later, because I don't remember disliking her in later years which I watched back when I air in my country. I kinda liked Trisha and Steve back then before he died. And you're right she does have sincerity in her acting. She's also very well cast in the role of this young soap ingenue.

Roya was such a Scarlet O'Hara in that scene with Jack, I love it and I love her Noelle was really BAD in that scene when Gwyn tell her that Cabot had a stroke. Her facial expression from "Is it Daddy?" to learning it was Cabot does not change at all I don't know if I have ever seen Jack with facial hair. I like it. He looks sexy And I love Christine Tudor. I don't understand why she never ended up on another soap opera. And I love seeing James Kiberd as Mike. I have always loved him as Trevor on AMC and I have seen very little of him as Mike on Loving. And the 1983... Jack is so cute... as is Chris Marcantel. But this episode I think I have seen before. I remember seeing the shirtless Curtis with the girls

Oh I am sure that last scene was exciting for old time fans, especially since Jake pop in for a second. Exactly, I was ready for them to drag this out until either Christmas or even the 40th anniversary in February, but I was pleasantly surprised when the reveal happened. I mean, yes, not to the entire Square, but I didn't think we'd be here either. I really enjoyed the Six storyline for the most part. Unfortunately, now we seem to be in the period when Freddie/Anna/Bobby love triangle is a leading storyline and it's just dreadfully boring. None of them have any romantic chemistry with each other and the whole love triangle was built badly. It barely started and I cannot wait to be finished asap.

I literally gasped when this happened! I did not expect it. And then again when she confessed to Bernie! And then again when she confessed to Elaine! I was SHOCKED! It was amazing. I never watched her original run, so I have no emotional connection to her or the character. And for me personally the week of Chrissie's return fell a bit flat. Sharon's storyline of being in prison just didn't make sense to me. She was in prison for SEVEN days, yet they treated it like she was there for years, her having to find a job, Chrissie risking her parole on the same week to hurt Sharon, when they could have both gone out of prison and then Chrissie could have gotten her revenge in some way... It was weird. But glad that oldtime fans got to see their favorite again

I just got caught up. Thanks Jason!! Wow, I am shocked at how low OLTL was for a while. They were last several weeks in a row. And RH is doing terribly in the beginning. Shocking that they even managed to survive this bad start.

Yolande rape episodes / scenes are some of my favorite of the year. And I havent watched yet Wednesday episode, but Monday and Tuesday were great! Some nice family interactions. So good job, Bryan!

I really enjoyed these club scenes with the crowd panic. Did not expect that at all when I started watching Monday's episode. Tuesday had a good follow up, so I am curious to see more fallout from this. Some good acting, but I really liked the writing and the directing here.
