  1. Does anyone know the date of Jaime Lyn Bauer last episode in August 1982? I can't find it anywhere. Thanks in advance.
  2. We saw that from February 4, 1980 to June 5, 1981.
  3. June 11, 1982 Y&R Eileen Davidson debut. June 17, 1982 Y&R Beth Maitland debut.
  4. I would think Capitol was scoring better in the demos than Search for Tomorrow. Capitol served two purposes: CBS wanted something more glamorous to compete with ABC and it was a placeholder/time filler until Bill Bell had a second show ready. April 30, 1982 Y&R David Hasselhoff departure. We're about a year away from the start of supercouple Days and then there will be some signs of life for NBC.
  5. If my math is correct, Frank Dicopolous (22 years) was the second longest-running cast member of the final episode cast without a departure and only Tina Sloan (26 years) was ahead of him.
  6. April 7, 1982 Y&R Jerry Douglas (RIP) debut.
  7. Thank you @JAS0N47
  8. You're welcome @Toups
  9. @JAS0N47 Were there any pre-emptions April 28-May 2, 1986 for coverage of Chernobyl?
  10. Vixens played by actresses of color. At least Mishael Morgan got an Emmy out of her return as Amanda, and has moved on to bigger and better things. Even though her character wasn't a vixen, Sasha Calle has also moved on to bigger and better things.
  11. Anna Stuart was temporary Vanessa when Maeve Kinkead was on pregnancy leave. There are some Fall 1981 episodes floating around where Maeve was filmed in a way to disguise pregnancy.
  12. delete
  13. Capitol first week pretty much inheriting Search for Tomorrow CBS audience. P&G probably realized early on what a mistake it was angering CBS to the point that they dropped Search for Tomorrow since the move to NBC turned out to be an epic failure. It's so funny that Search for Tomorrow NBC run would end three months before Capitol ended.
  14. @Soapsuds Capitol was a time filler/placeholder until Bill Bell had a second show ready.
  15. Big changes coming up on CBS: Y&R EP change from John Conboy to H. Wesley Kenney, Search for Tomorrow ends, Capitol premieres.
  16. I still watch Y&R and will probably stay until the end, even though I consider 2006 onward to be not classic.
  17. No. Their pairing was so random. Probably not. Another random pairing.
  18. It will always be a crime that Beverlee McKinsey never got a Lead Actress nomination for her work on GL. Beverlee could have easily won at least one of 1991, 1992, 1993 as the Lead Actress races in those years I thought were rather weak.
  19. Also Jason Thompson has played Billy the longest (7 years).
  20. I have no idea. Maybe someone who was following in real time would have better insights.
  21. It's amazing that GL was able to hold its own against General Hospital when that show was at it's peak as a pop culture phenomenon. From what I've seen of the Allen Potter/Douglas Marland era, the main storylines that I'd say impacted GL right until the end were Roger's fall off the cliff in Santo Domingo, Alan/Hope marriage, intros of Chamberlain, Lewis, Reardon families.
  22. Primetime soap reruns were probably more successful on cable. I didn't know Falcon Crest was rerun on Lifetime. Was it in the 1990s? The Soapnet reruns were early 2000s and AFAIK the whole series was not seen again until FreeVee last year.
  23. We can add members of the Abbott family to the list. John: Dina, Jill, Jessica, Jill, Gloria Jack: Patty, Nikki, Luan, Phyllis, Sharon, Nikki, Phyllis, Diane Ashley: Steven, Victor, Blade, Cole, Brad, Victor, Tucker, Tucker Traci: Danny, Brad, Brad, Steve
