  1. I only saw clips of it. Easy answer, you set me up. Sheila is a gun-toting Republican. I did see about 10 minutes on Friday 5/20 - the first I've seen in a couple of weeks. Every time I tune in - I guess I get why this might be exciting for new viewers. Maybe? But for those of us who've been around, it's a yawner for me at least. How long would it be until Sheila knows the guards, gets sneaked out, it's really Sheila's even more evil twin in jail, Sheila blackmails a guard because (you know, they should be very afraid of her) - blackmails a guard because she sees them with pot or something. It's a yawner for me because by now, pretty much everyone knows it's something like that. She's Stefano, James Stenbeck, Faison, only maybe worse by now.
  2. I have to say I did not know this. Ugh.
  3. Oh my - I'm so glad you posted this! Mugu - Spanish. The Madrid tournament I posted I like the ball girls' shoes....I think Mugu is wearing them! I could not tell during the Madrid tournament what the ball girls' shoes were, but they were plain, black, and I think this is them!
  4. Ever since I first saw him. Serve bot, and if the point actually begins, it's over with him. The one thing I did say about Opelka (similar), but at least you see him win some points if they actually start. I feel like he can actually play Tennis. Not Isner.
  5. You can have all of her that you want. I cannot stand her. LOLLLL
  6. So many people forget the Angel Laing / Daddy Laing incest story also, with Caleb being accused for years of Angel getting pregnant, and it turning out he had blamed Caleb all of those years to get the heat off of himself - it was his (Daddy's) baby -- then with his suicide but to make Caleb look guilty, and Caleb's innocence. You're right. You can pretty much name most stories from Doug Marland and As the World Turns during those years. Almost no clunker of a story. And like you said, even that - was interwoven with a Holden/Angel/Caleb triangle and wound around a ton of other things going on. Guiding Light - the whole triangle of Frank/Eleni/Alan Michael...Alan Michael's ultimate play to have Eleni deported rather than her end up with Frank. Blake, Ross. Blake and Phillip - what a hoot it was when she (as played by Sherri Stringfield) had Phillip committed - because she knew Beth was alive and she convinced everyone he was crazy. The scene of Phillip comin up outta that bed after her was so fabulous...with Blake's appearance at the Country Club at Phillip and Beth's wedding - from the top of the stairs with a Champagne glass, "Yeah - let's hear it for BETH!". I think Nancy Curlee was headwriting with her husband at the time, and also like or hate Reva - but the Reva/Josh/Annie story culminated with them hitting #2 or #3 that Summer....even people who didn't watch GL watched that Summer.
  7. Everyone has been complaining about the scheduling and how the fix was in for Alcarez. Even beyond Zverev’s griping. I mean - I guess? But it would have been an advantage for whoever came from that side. I guess. If you discount he had to beat Nadal and Joker, I guess he had the advantage of being in their half. Lollll
  8. Finally a possible passing of the torch. Thus far it's kind of just been Medvedev that looks like the obvious dominant player who would be next...
  9. Oh yikes not the final. But good anyway
  10. Watching the Men’s final with Joker and Alvarez. Ball girl is wearing cute black tennis shoes - I want.
  11. Not sure why this didn't go anywhere, but I love this little song by Dolly. And I was thrilled to hear that all the ballots had gone out about the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame because she wanted herself to be removed from the voting - and she got in anyway. Long time coming. God knows aside from 'I will always love you' a ton of her songs have been redone to death by everyone. Like Jolene, 9 to 5, and others.
  12. Yesterday I Googled 'how to leave the U.S.' - how to give up citizenship - best countries. I would never in my life have thought I would do such a thing. But that's how I feel right now. I feel like we are off of our rails, and honestly that it's the end. It's the end of the United States as we knew it. I do not think people in this country really know that history happens every single day. It's not just something you read about or study in history. It's happening RIGHT now. And the history that we're laying has gone so far backward as a society - and people are just letting it happen - that I truly believe it's over. It makes me laugh that the religious zealots - I remember - when Obama was elected they were circulating flyers about the 1000 reasons Obama was the anti-christ. All the crazies. And looked right past Trump like he was some wonderful loving, Godly creature. I am Christian, happen to be Gay, and it astounds me the ignorance of people. For months I thought - if I was younger. If I was younger I'd figure this out and leave. Just in the past few days I thought - why does my age matter? What would being younger do? Dude, look into it - why worry about your age? Get the Hell out. People can say it's an over-reaction if they want. But for me - the feeling in this country, the choosing of guns over life - of calling whatever you want (masks, vaccines) - your personal freedoms that should not be touch - hey, get off my body I ain' takin' no vaccine......but then GOING AFTER WOMEN'S BODIES?! And thinking that's OK?? It's barbaric to me. I don't know what people are looking at - the Republican party is pure EVIL to me and it makes me laugh when I see the garbage of them spewing that Democrats want to destroy the country. You HAVE GOT to be JOKING. They get mad when you say they're all a bunch of Bigots, white supremacists, hateful bunch. Well what does it look like? So I found that Belize, Portugal, and Costa Rica are looking pretty good and I'm going to look further into that.
  13. It's a depressingly masculine world we live in, Dolores. --Vera Donovan.
  14. Coco is about to be a footnote if something doesn't happen really quick. I said it about 6 months ago - this is the year that something should be happening. I'm not saying wins, but Quarters and Semis very regularly - consistency. And it's not there. I think she's done.
  15. And you know what side the 'convoy' or 'truckers' are on. Coming back to DC again and this time they say they're going to have "teeth" whatever that means. 99% anyway. They are rallying against something - we're just not sure quite what. Last time it was mask mandates which had already been lifted. Except we are pretty sure actually what they want. Now they say Government over-reach. They're against Government over-reach. These are the same people who don't want the Government telling them to get a vaccination. Or to wear a mask, because it's just too much to handle. And they should have as many guns and high powered guns as they want. Gubment get outta my life. But yes, please, Government - PLEASE rule our wombs and tell us we have to have children. That's totally OK. It's sick.
  16. That. I think if things were going of the rails for me - I would have sold a longgggg time ago. Lie about it to friends. Just say - meh, ya know, why not downsize. Not getting any younger, and it's not like we need all this stuff in life. A lot less to think about, a lot less to worry about, I'm downsizing. And really, it wouldn't be a lie. Yes, you had to do it, but....it did make sense, and why not. That's what a reasonable person would have done. I think Robert Downey Jr. just figured it out and got his act together. I was always a fan of him and it was hard to see, and I was glad to see him come out of it.
  17. Usually you kind of have to look at whether something has been sensationalized or overdone. Yikes. From this - not. The wording is just Yikes. Lifestyle commitments??? Translation - you bought a bunch of stuff you couldn't pay for and then hid the fact you couldn't pay for them repeatedly. And were repeatedly not sorry for it and continued to do it. And that is the face of an alcoholic if I've ever seen one - I know because I have mirrors and had to fix that myself. Sad.
  18. I had all kinds of things in my head that Roger would have said to Maureen. "You've put up with him for a long time for some reason. You've done great raising Michele by the way. You're faced with the evidence of his slap in the face to you every single day. And what did you do? Loved her. You loved Michele because it was the right thing to do. What did Ed do to thank you? What does it look like to you now? But I'm always wrong in this town, I'm the bad guy. We all know that, right? What does it really look like to you now, Maureen? I'm here and you're listening to me right now because you know I'm right." Etc. etc.
  19. I don't remember every detail of things now. But one I would have done with Maureen is turn to Roger after finding out about the Lillian affair. She was his only friend in town at times and it would have made sense to me. Turn Maureen into somewhat of a bad girl for a brief period. I could just envision scenes between Ellen Parker and Michael Z with him consoling her, and understanding...and making the viewers wonder - is there a good person in there? Is Roger all bad? Or is he using the affair to take a dig or take something from Ed? I could totally see Roger/Michael Z in a conversation with Maureen - are you seeing your knight in shining armor for what he is now, Maureen? Are you sure I slipped from his hands all those years ago in Santo Domingo? He's done this before, with Claire you know. Now Lillian. But he's a great guy, right? Etc. etc. Huge triangle between Maureen, Holly, and Alexandra over Roger.
  20. dude was destined to be the Joey of the show. (Doctor Drake Ramoray).
  21. Not popular because everyone is empathetic and fair, etc. - but I'm all for the ban. I know people can't help what their country does, but in this case, I agree with the Brits. I wouldn't want a Russian winner near the Royal family. I have stopped watching the Capitals (I'm DC, and a huge Hockey fan), but got rid of my Ovechkin jerseys. I think the NHL should have banned them, and that's hard for me to say, but. They should have. He makes his money here, and his wife and child are in Russia, so his money goes home to them. I say no to that. He's also been a supporter of Putin. I know he can't speak out now, and they're probably watching his family, but people have defected under tough situations before, and I don't see them doing it. He needs to go home to Russia and be in the country he loves so much. I just feel that it's one thing to elect the wrong leader and everyone having to deal with it. It's an entirely other thing that the leader orders an attack on innocent people. Ban them. I saw a story that Putin had mentioned Western cancel culture and that it was not fair. Don't know if it's true or not, but it rings true that he would say something like that. To which I say damn right we'll cancel your ass. LOL.
  22. They have the advantage that there’s nothing left to replace them with. Absolutely nothing. We’re down to Drew Barrymore coming back reduced from 1 hour to 1/2 an hour, no Ellen and everyone already wondering what is going to take up all this space. We’re already facing a threat of 1 hour of B&B lollll
  23. I've heard arguments for both sides and while I understand both - I think I agree with this. Tracy Austin has said similar. Other people are all for coaching and say 'why not', just allow it and be done. Tracy has said on a few occasions on the 'no' side, and I think I understand her the most. It was always part of the sport, the part where you have to do it yourself and be alone out there. Similar in gymnastics and skating only you're not in a competition directly against someone and in the moment, coaching can't help you in those instances anyway - because you have to be able to just do it in the moment. But your coach gives you corrections afterward/after the event/apparatus, whatever it is. If they want to set a specific time aside, like between sets or something then fine. But between games, in between points, no. She mentioned on occasion she'd never have won her 2 grand slams if someone had helped the other player with a few tweaks. It's part of the game. Sometimes you figure it out, sometimes you don't. And if they're not allowing it, then enforce it. I think this is a better idea, and I pretty much never agree with Roddick.
  24. Thanks - I'll have to look for it. It seems like I just saw the commercial for it, but there ya go.
