9/25 I wanted to see the Sharon episodes regarding Heather’s death. Had a quick question, is Sharon off her meds or not? Are her meds just not working anymore?

Having three major exes of Liz in town all at the same time with such varied histories with her literally writes itself. Couldn’t agree more Hearst always plays that throughline. I missed a lot of them together in real time as well. But I like what I like and see what I see lol. Onto 10/7 Kirsten Storms looks amazing. PM was using her as Maxie really well to me and she was coming alive again, but she’s a day player under these new writers. Hopefully when Lulu wakes up she has more to do. She and VH had instant chemistry together. Van actually feels like he’s been on this show for a long time. It’s crazy how he seems to fit with all of these actors like he’s been playing opposite them the whole time. Good recast. Actually enjoyed the Lucky and Aidan scenes but it doesn’t seem like either Aidan or Liz are really mad at Lucky for choosing to be a dead beat for a decade. Continuing to enjoy the new Aidan but it seems like most of the teens are no longer any sort of priority on the show and Aidan is already talking about going to school on another continent just like Jake so I’m not getting attached. I love vets even if I don’t have long histories with them so I enjoyed the Holly and Felicia scenes. A lot of these actors have worked off and on together for so many years, you can just feel the connections between the character. I missed when Violet was on all the time so she doesn’t bother me. Also I liked Finn’s friendship with Tracy so her being involved with Violet doesn’t annoy me at all and makes sense.

Yeah GV was my Lucky. When Sam, Liz, Jason, and Lucky all ran into each other in the hall at the hospital there was this air of tension obviously but it didn’t really work for me because I can’t see Sam ever being with JJ’s Lucky and she was quite hot with GV. Stretching out a villain for too long seems to be soapswide issue these days.

Gosh I missed so much of the Nelle story. I just remember people posting they were ready for her to go on here. I’d love another young villain for the characters in that age range to deal with.

Holy [!@#$%^&*] that’s crazy! And they wrote them out after it was resolved? Seems like a waste. Again my only exposure to JJ was his last run so I’m in the same boat with you. The constant crying hasn’t started back so at least there’s that. I was waiting for your thoughts! So happy I’m not alone in thinking there was more of a spark between Ric and Liz. Ric looks at Liz like she’s the most important person in the world when they’re together. But honestly in general I find Hearst to be a more alive performer than JJ.

Wait Brad stole Lucas’ nephew’s bio kid to pass off as his own with Lucas?!

What is the backstory with Wiley and Lucas? Those scenes seem to have some subtext I missed during the years I wasn’t watching.

Ooo that’s actually a good idea! If Ava is gonna live somewhere with just a bed out in the open Sloane’s apartment is infinitely nicer than a room at the Pub.

I actually thought it looked different today as well. Less cartoonishly bright?

And then she killed her little brother and happily dated her uncle. Also I preferred the actress that played Chelsea prior to Rachel Melvin a whole lot more. Rachel Melvin and Molly Burnett were very similar to me. I hate this set so much.

I unsurprisingly despised Chelsea as well.

He really did play that perfectly, instant crush.

He’s def headed to Jordan which doesn’t bother me. They actually have some chemistry already.

10/4 I know there’s a connection because of Luke. But Sonny Corinthos’ murdering ass sitting around dispensing advice to someone on parenting is ridiculous and laughable. Also I assume Sonny’s restaurant is a front but like why is there never a single customer? Has it always been this way? Never watched ATWT so this is my first exposure to new Lucas but he instantly had chemistry with Laura Wright. He definitely plays Lucas with much more energy than Ryan Carnes’ more subdued performance that I remember in the past. I’ve never really cared for the Lucas character as he was in terrible stories with Brad and Felix so I’m hoping this is a fresh start for the character and I’m coming in with a clean slate. Gio is an extremely boring young character. He is just so blah and white meat. Josslyn mind your business. Yup again after today, give me Ric and Ava ASAP. I’m loving Ava having a brain again and immediately figuring it out it was Portia and covering for her after leading Ric down that path in the first place. And I loved Ava coming to Portia to help her because she loves Trina. Add me to the list to write out BLQ and Chase with in their current incarnations even if I do think Amanda Setton has amazing chemistry with her onscreen parents and grandmother. But the couple being this sexless Amish couple because the actors don’t seem to know they’re actors is not the move. I think Rachel is supposed to be a demon spawn given her mother. Young Spencer was supposed to be cute. It was awful.

10/3 I enjoyed Molly once again having to read her mother. Glad they’ve fully repaired Ava and Trina. Why do people not like Marshall? I actually like that whole gang. As a black man it’s always nice for me to see multigenerational black families on the soaps. And I really enjoyed the Curtis and Marshall scenes. They truly feel like father and son. But maybe I’ve missed a lot of annoying stuff 🤷🏽‍♂️. If I can’t have LiRic, give me Ric and Ava. Maura and Rick literally have chemistry with everyone and naturally they have it each other. I hope Portia’s plan works and she can get the blame placed on Brad.

I. Hate. Clyde. Why can’t the DiMeras just kill him. He literally was responsible for EJ’s “death” then Abby. Like since when would the DiMeras not go to major lengths to eliminate this guy by now. They’ve done worse to better people.

Melanie drove me insane. And it felt like all the young male characters just had to have her. And then they tied her to Daniel. Another character I couldn’t stand. It’s funny I actually found Molly’s acting on GH as a sub for KS for some reason ten times less grating than when she was on Days. Really seamless and smart transition from John to Eric, I will applaud them on that. I absolutely loved Drake as RoboJohn. He cracked me the hell up tbh. He was so rude. It was so different from normal John.

Having Sami/Nicole as the leads in their absence wasn’t a bad thing. But like you said Drake/Deidre just makes it feel like Days. And I feel like when John/Marlena were gone there was a lot Sami went through where they naturally should’ve been on canvas as her support even if they weren’t the leads.

Sami as the heroine on the show was my least favorite viewing period. Sami as she’s been written in her returns is more true to form. I don’t need her hating John, that’s played out but she lost just about all the spunk that made her Sami at the time. There was a period where all Sami did was cry. I think this was during those years. I actually now that I remember didn’t mind Maggie getting a little more prominence until of course they retconned Daniel and Melanie into her life.

It’s still crazy to think they wrote off John and Marlena while they were still plenty viable. I don’t even remember who the show focused on when they were gone. Was it the Sami show?

Now I’m going to be upset if we don’t hear from the greatest Belle 😂😂

I’m shocked to not be alone on that island. Maybe once his face isn’t all beaten up? Honestly GV was Lucky when I started watching GH and he was much more suited to me for Lucky being a cop or adventurous. He and Jason also felt like equal romantic rivals as well during the partner swap summer. JJ and Steve Burton look about 30 years apart in age. My DVR didn’t record the whole episode so I’m going to have to finish on Hulu tonight.

I still think if Frank hated KM so much he should’ve just permanently recast with Hartley. She plays the role with so much energy, it makes the character feel viable again to me. And truthfully when they’ve used KM this year since PM took over, she’s seemed more alive to me. I can’t understand the thinking of not playing Lulu/Dante/Sam.

I actually found him quite strong in his scenes with Becky the other day. I’ll be interested to see with him JJ now. I kinda figured as much 😂. I’ve been back watching since I believe April or May.
