  1. This definitely feels like an acknowledgment that something is amiss at Y&R, but a bit timid. We shall see what follows.
  2. I wouldn’t mind that either, but still want some muscle eye-candy in the mix. YMMV. Yet above all else, give me memorable characters who have layers that actors can really sink their teeth into and light and shade. I’m tired of boring or one-dimensional stock characters.
  3. Looking forward to seeing some fine BLACK men who aren’t just walking torsos trotted out for an occasional fetishistic jolt like Carter on B&B or similarly poorly developed, uninspired characters like Devon Hamilton or Curtis Ashford. Give me body but with some actual flesh—male characters as complex and layered as Mason Capwell or Roger Thorpe or Mac Cory. We’ve never really had that in daytime—even some of the better examples of Black male characters like Neil Winters, Abe Carver, and Jesse Hubbard have felt limited in their scope compared to their peers. This is such a great opportunity.
  4. This guy is perfection:
  5. Madonna pays tribute to her Christopher, who died of cancer:
  6. Sheila/Kimberlin would certainly be a “break in case of emergency” type of return, since they’ve avoided going back to that well for 18 years (at least on Y&R). While I’d be curious about how she’d interact with Stafford, et al, B&B has largely wrung that character beyond dry, and I can’t imagine Y&R would handle her much better than B&B has. It would just be a different kind of “bad.”
  7. LOL this show. I wonder how or if they’ll address her absence or if she’ll essentially play Doctor #1 in some medical story.
  8. I’m only 20 myself—what’s the problem? 😝
  9. It’s feeling very 2016 to me this week, which isn’t a great feeling for many reasons. His son really did a great job to celebrate him in recent years. Loved their bond:
