I defer to the hardcore ATWT fans, but I think there’s a good argument for Craig Montgomery, both the Scott Bryce and the Hunt Block versions, for different reasons. When I watched 86-87 ATWT, Craig was treated with the same sensitivity and offered the same subjectivity and spotlight as the heroines, much more so than his male peers.

Potomac girls’ trips are so low-budget. Both Mia and Wendy are just too thirsty, and they play right into the hands of the mean girls. I appreciate Candiace for mostly walking away and not engaging thus far with all the Gizelle B.S.

I feel sad that Potomac is becoming basic. Very toxic, boring, and performative like the other series. It’s disappointing to see thirsty Mia physically attack Wendy in the previews.

They make you not care. They think they are doing classic soap but they don’t have the chops. Or the interference is somebody awful. They take every exit on the highway to extend a story and at a certain point they forget where they’re going and decide it’s not worth it to continue on. And pretty much every story has been a good example of that. Granted, they’re not alone in that. So many primetime series have suffered from the same affliction. GH sometimes has the problem of not playing the proper beats, even though they have all the time to do so. But the show has so much going on with that massive cast that stories drag while at the same time feeling slight and even somehow rushed.

Wow they went really young. I’m looking forward to seeing them together. I haven’t seen her on Corrie so I don’t know her chops, but at least she’s not a complete neophyte.
