Feels like so many great British music artists have died in their 50s and 60s recently. Alan Rankine was a founding member and the sonic master behind the great Scottish ‘80s band Associates, featuring one of the most astonishingly powerful voices ever in music, Billy Mackenzie (who unfortunately took his own life in 1997). Alan was totally gorgeous too.

My 10-year-old self is beaming. I loved De La Soul. Seems like the few missing artists are finally getting on streaming (Aaliyah, Def Leppard, and Tool most recently).

I just find it… bizarre. Usually when couples fake a relationship, they “detest” each other but there’s an undercurrent of attraction that we watch build over time. We already know Spencer and Trina are desperately into each other. It just feels like spinning wheels at this point, hook plot or not. I find GH overwritten and underthought.

Such a bizarre way of telling their story after all this time.

A show this slow shouldn’t feel so superficial. Yet here we are. It’s the worst of both worlds: lightning-fast scenes on a micro level and meandering pacing on a macro level. Yeah WTF?
