    As the storm continues to rage on, we revisit our beloved Salemites aboard the cruise ship...

    -On the second level, Marlena has her gun aimed at Roman.

    Roman: This isn't you, doc. You don't want to do this.
    Marlena: Your beloved "doc" is dead so stop calling me that. And, yes, I want to do this. I want everyone on this ship to die.
    Roman: No, you don't. You have children on this ship. Your not a monster, Marlena. You would never want them to die. Hell, you would never want anyone on this ship to die, the exceptions being Stefano and Orpheus.
    Marlena: I'M SAMANTHA, DAMNIT!!! DON'T CALL ME MARLENA OR DOC!! AND, YES, FOR THE LAST TIME I WANT EVERYONE ON THIS DAMN SHIP TO DIE!!! THEY MUST DIE!!
    Roman: That's the brainwashing talking. Tek, Wendell, and Andre...they started this and Ernesto and Orpheus picked up right where they left off after we thought you fell to your death in the volcano. I got through to you before you fell...I know you are still there. I know the real Marlena is just fighting to break through. She is probably crying out to her loved ones. I know her...all of her loved ones in pain is killing her.
    Marlena: SHUTUP!! Marlena is gone. She's been gone. What was left of her died in that volcano.
    Roman: That's not true. Remember when you tried to smother me with a pillow back in January? You stopped yourself. Marlena made her presence known that night.
    Marlena: Like hell she did.
    Roman: You have no other explanation. Look...all the brainwashing manipulated your emotions. They used all your bad memories to twist your mind so that they could use you for their own gains. You were vulnerable and they knew that. The night you fell into the volcano you mentioned voices in your head. Those voices are still there. Those voices are Tek, Wendell, Andre, Ernesto, Orpheus...and God knows who else. You can put an end to this. They know you blame yourself for all the horrible things that have happened to the people you love. They know you think you brought it on all of us. They used that...it was their key to manipulating you.
    Marlena: Shutup!! Damnit! I have had enough! You couldn't be more wrong. Everything you just said is BS and I sick of it. I'm sick of you. Time to shut you up...permanently.

    Marlena puts her finger on the gun's trigger and aims it at a nervous Roman.

    The scene then shifts to Kayla and Bo, who are still giving Steve CPR as Abe, Hope, and Frankie watch and pray that he makes it. Kayla pounds on Steve's chest and begs him not to leave her. He promised her they would get their lives back! She can't lose him now...not after just getting him back. Bo holds compressions and tells Kayla it's been too long. He isn't breathing. Kayla feels for a pulse and gets nothing. With tears streaming down her face, she looks down at Steve and refuses to believe he is gone. He can't be gone. Bo embraces his sister as Frankie and Hope comfort each other with a horrified Abe watching. Kayla then breaks from Bo's embrace and says she isn't giving up.

    Kayla (crying): We've never given up on each other in the past and I'm not going to start now. When I nearly died in Sydney, you didn't give up on me. I flatlined and the doctors believed I was gone but that didn't stop you. You were my angel that day...just like you always have been. You brought me back and I am going to bring you back...just the way you brought me back with...
    Bo: What Kay?
    Kayla: A kiss. Steve's love brought me back when he kissed me. I'm not letting you go, Steve. (clutches his face) You hear me?! I'm not letting you go!

    Kayla then kisses Steve passionately as the screen turns white as a Steve and Kayla montage begins...

    As the montage ends, Bo is back to doing compressions as Kayla is doing mouth to mouth. Bo tells Kayla it's no use. Even her kissing him didn't help. It's over. Steve's gone. Kayla breaks down in tears and pounds on Steve's body as she lays her head down on his chest.

    Kayla (crying): NO!! YOU PROMISED!! YOU JUST CAME BACK TO US!! WE CAN'T BE CHEATED AGAIN LIKE THIS!! THIS CAN'T BE HAPPENING!!
    Steve: Calm down, baby...

    Kayla picks her head up and looks at Steve, whose eyes have opened. Bo, Hope, Frankie, and Abe are elated.

    Kayla: Steve...
    Steve: That's me...damn! What happened to me, sweetness? I feel like I was hit by a truck.
    Kayla: Well, your close. We were knocked around by a wall of water.
    Steve: Well, that explains it. I'm telling you, I would rather deal with what we did in Stockholm then this junk.
    Kayla: You remember Stockholm? (looks into Steve's eyes) Oh my...you know, I noticed it when I first looked into your eyes when you opened them. You remember...
    Steve: Of course I remember. Marlena was kidnapped and we all went to get her. Too bad that dude Orpheus didn't die back then because now we have to deal with that nutjob.
    Kayla: You remember! You got your memory back!
    Steve: Yeah...I guess I did. Finally! That kiss you gave me did more then pump my heart (smiles).
    Kayla: I was just returning the favor.
    Steve: Thanks, baby.
    Kayla: We're finally going to have our lives back. We can be a family again!
    Steve: Sure can.
    Bo: I hate to interrupt but we are on a sinking ship and we need to get out of here.
    Steve: Always the party pooper. Ok...

    Steve gets dizzy as he tries to get up. Kayla says that she will need help with Steve. Steve says there is no need but Frankie thinks it's a good idea. The ship rocks back and forth and Hope says that they are running out of time. Bo says he is going to find Roman, Marlena, Jack, and Billie. Hope tells him she is going to and he can't stop her. Abe and Frankie agree to get Steve and Kayla to the lifeboat. They remind Bo they only have one left and they will wait as long as possible. Bo nods. Abe wishes him and Hope luck as they take off.

    The scene the shifts to Jack and Billie, who break from their passionate kiss as the cabin room is filled with water near their necks. Jack tells Billie he feels good that they admitted their feelings for each other. Billie agrees but wishes they had done it sooner as they are about die. Jack says they could still get a miracle. Billie shakes her head. They both then hear a loud crashing sound. A terrified Billie wonder what that is. Just then, the door of the cabin room bursts open as a huge rush of water pours in, overcoming Jack and Billie.

    The scene shifts back to Roman and Marlena, who is about to pull the trigger.

    Roman: Your still in there, doc. I am going to do whatever it takes. I won't give up on you like I did that night near the volcano. You need to fight...fight your way back to us!
    Marlena: Shutup! Marlena is gone. She's dead and never coming back. Your wasting your breath.
    Roman: You want to kill me (walks closer to Marlena). Go ahead. Do it. You still can't bring yourself to pull the trigger. That proves Marlena is still there. Come on, doc. Come back to me. Come back to Carrie, Sami, Belle....we need you. We all need you. Now more then ever.
    Marlena: This will stop!!
    Roman: If you want it to stop, then do something about it. You have the gun. Fire it.
    Marlena: I...just want to wait...
    Roman: For what? You know you can't do it. Why? Because I'm reaching Marlena. It's inevitable. She can feel my love. She can feel that she is needed. Her loved ones are in pain. We need her. We need you, doc. Please. Come back to us!!
    Marlena: NO!!
    Roman: Doc, so much has happened! Please...it's Roman. The man you love. I love you so much! We all do. Our friends...children...we all need you! I need you!!
    Marlena: Damnit, Roman!!
    Roman: Doc...come on. Don't give in to the brainwashing! Don't give in to the manipulation! That is why you took on the name, Samantha. It symbolizes one of the worst things that ever happened to those you love that you could've prevented. You think it's your fault. You still blame yourself for her murder and always will. That wasn't your fault. It wasn't your fault that Sami and Eric lost so much time with you. You were kidnapped by Orpheus and Stefano. It wasn't your fault that I went years thinking I was John Black. None of this was your fault. Come back to us, doc. We can get you help! We can fix all this!

    Marlena's hands begins to tremble as she begins to lower the gun.

    Roman: Wait, I know what is going on. You want all of us to die so protect us. You think getting rid of us will spare us more pain. The brainwashing twisted that thought in your mind. Your words say that you want us all dead but, in reality, you are trying to protect us by killing us, thinking it's better then a cycle of pain and suffering on earth.
    Marlena (turning away and putting her head down): No...that's ridiculous.
    Roman: No, it's not. The idea of it sounds off but it's something Marlena would do. The Marlena I love. The Marlena we all love. She would never want her loved ones dead. You love your children, Marlena. That isn't you.
    Marlena (puts her hand up to her head): I'M NOT MARLENA!!
    Roman: We need you, doc. The family needs you. We've lost so much...we need you with us to get through this. The family needs to be together. We need you!!
    Marlena (shaking): Marlena is gone!! For good!!
    Roman: LISTEN TO ME, MARLENA!! COME BACK!! PLEASE...WE ALL NEED YOU!! I NEED YOU!!! WE'LL ALL FALL APART WITHOUT YOU!!
    Marlena: STOP THIS!!!
    Roman: NO!! MARLENA...(as tears well up in his eyes) we can't go on without you. We've lost enough...we can't lose you!!
    Marlena: You haven't lost enough! And I will make sure you lose more!
    Roman: I didn't want to...tell you...(fighting off tears)...but...
    Marlena: What's wrong with you?
    Roman: Marlena...we need you...we lost Eric...we need you here with us. We need you here so we can heal and get through...(Roman is overcome with emotion and wipes tears from his eyes)

    Marlena turns away from Roman and seems deeply affected. Her eyes well up with tears as she tries to fight the tears off.

    Marlena: Wait, Eric? He's gone...how? When?
    Roman (fighting off more tears): The gunshots that were heard earlier. Eric was hit. There...was nothing...we could do. And that's not all. A pole fell on Austin, crushing him. He didn't make it. Carrie is devastated. We all are. We've lost so much! We need you, doc!!
    Marlena (clutching her head and fighting back tears): Austin...Eric? My son...the girls...Carrie...Sami...Belle...no, they needed to die. Eric and Austin both. Everyone must die!!
    Roman: You don't want that, doc. That's not you. Fight...come on baby!! Fight!! Our son is gone!! We all need you!!
    Marlena: No!! I don't care!!! Marlena isn't here!!! Stop this!!
    Roman: Come on, doc!! COME ON!! WE NEED YOU!! I'M HERE!! (moves closer to Marlena)
    Marlena (aims gun at Roman again): DON'T COME ANY CLOSER!!
    Roman: I love you, Marlena. I love you, doc.
    Marlena: NO!! STAY BACK!!! ARGH!! (CLUTCHES HEAD IN PAIN)
    Roman: I love you!

    Roman then grabs Marlena and kisses her. Marlena gives in but pushes him off her, aiming her gun again.

    Marlena: YOU...MUST DIE!!! ARGH!! (holds head in pain) THEY...THE VOICES...THEY WANT...
    Roman: Don't listen to them!! Come on, Marlena. Come back to me!! Come back to those who love you!! Remember the good and bad!! Not just the bad!! Remember your life, doc!! All that you have done!! All about your life!! All about our lives together!!

    Marlena continues to clutch her head as Roman's words reverberate in her head while a Marlena montage begins...

    As the montage ends, Roman turns Marlena around and sees her face soaked with tears. He looks into her eyes and holds her face in his hands, lovingly.

    Roman: Doc...
    Marlena (crying and looking deep into Roman's eyes): Ro...man...Roman!!!
    Roman: It's you! Your back!
    Marlena: YES!! IT'S ME!! I HAVE BEEN TRYING FOR SO LONG...FIGHTING SO HARD TO COME BACK!!
    Roman: I know!

    Roman takes Marlena in his arms as they both break down in tears.

    Marlena: I tried...I knew you all needed me. I knew you were all in pain. The voices...they just...
    Roman: It's ok, doc. It's all going to be ok.
    Marlena: Austin...Eric!! Eric!! Our son!! Oh, Roman!! How could this be!!
    Roman: We's get through this, doc. We will...we need you so much! I need you!!
    Marlena: I tried so hard to stop this. To break through...I... argh!! (clutches her head)
    Roman: Doc! Marlena!

    Marlena then pistol whips Roman and aims her gun yet again.

    Marlena: STAY AWAY!! (holds her head and screams out in pain) ARGH!! DAMNIT!! IT HURTS!!
    Roman: MARLENA!!
    Marlena: STAY AWAY!! (points gun) I HAVE HAD ENOUGH OF YOU!!

    Just then, a rush of water bursts through the door to their passageway, overcoming Roman and Marlena.

    The scene then shifts to...Jack, who is holding on to a railing as the force of the water tries to pull him away. Billie is on the other side of the passageway, hanging on for dear life to a door latch. Jack tells her to hang on. Billie says she isn't sure how long she can. Jack tells her to do it for him. Billie smiles. Just then, water bursts through another door, overcoming Billie. Jack can't see her and panics, calling out frantically for her. He screams that he won't let her go and that he is coming. He then lets go and gets pulled away by the forceful waters, just as the ship begins to tilt and water begins to fill the ship more rapidly.

    The scene then shifts to the main deck. Steve and Kayla are on the lifeboat with Abe and Frankie. The ship has begun to tilt. Abe says they have to lower the boat now. He yells down to Shane and tells him to tell the other lifeboats to back up from the ship or they will get pulled down with it when it sinks. Shane yells back up that he will and then does as instructed. The other lifeboats begin to pull away. Bo and Hope arrive and announce that they couldn't find Jack, Billie, Roman, or Marlena. Hope says the ship is sinking rapidly and they knew they had to come back. Their children need them and they need to do what is best for them. They all just need to hope and pray that the others found a way off or will find a way off before it sinks. Abe thinks they did the right thing.

    Bo and Hope board the lifeboat. Bo, Abe, and Frankie begin to lower it. Abe tells Bo he told the other lifeboats to get going so they don't go down with the ship. Bo thinks that was a good idea and hopes they get away to before the ship sinks or they may be in trouble yet. Frankie reminds them of the storm and says there is still that to deal with. Hope agrees...they all are far from being out of the woods.

    The scene then shifts back to...Roman, who is making his way through the passageway that is now filled with water. He is yelling for Marlena and looking for her. He sees her floating and swims to her as the water continues to filter in. The ship begins to tilt as Roman reaches Marlena, who then jumps up and hits him again in the face with her gun.

    Marlena: I told you to stay away!!
    Roman: You were in trouble. I...
    Marlena: I did that so you would come over!! I want you dead!! I need you dead!! I will be damned if I let the ship claim your life! I will!!
    Roman: I don't think so!! You won't do it!! Marlena won't let you!!

    Roman then lunges for Marlena. They fight over the gun and it goes flying out of her hand. Marlena tries to fight off Roman and is punching and kicking as the water continues to rush in, adding further struggle to their battle.

    Marlena: LET GO OF ME!! DAMNIT!! LET GO!!
    Roman: COME ON, DOC!! I KNOW YOU ARE THERE!! YOU WERE JUST HERE!! WE NEED YOU!! COME ON, DOC!! I LOVE YOU!! COME BACK!! COME BACK!! REMEMBER YOUR LIFE...OUR LOVE...OUR CHILDREN!! REMEMBER YOUR LOVE FOR THEM!! REMEMBER THAT THEY NEED YOU!!
    Marlena (shaking her head in pain and frustration): NO!! ARGH...NO!! RO...NO!! I WON'T...NO!!
    Roman: COME ON...MARLENA!! I LOVE YOU!! COME ON!!
    Marlena (breaks free of Roman, clutches her head): NO...ArGH...YES...
    Roman: I love you, doc! Please...
    Marlena (crying): I...I...love you, Roman.
    Roman (looking into Marlena's eyes): Doc...it's you. Your back!
    Marlena: They stopped...the voices stopped...(holds her head) please be gone. I...don't want to...fight...it's so hard to fight them...
    Roman (holds Marlena in his arms as tears well up in his eyes): I'm here now, baby. It's ok. It's ok.
    Marlena: It's always ok in...your...arms.

    Marlena then passes out on Roman's shoulder.

    Roman: Doc...doc? Marlena?

    The ship begins to rock and begins to tilt up.

    Roman: Oh my God...we're going down. I have to get us out of here...and fast.

    More water rushes in as the ship tilts even more.

    Roman: It may already be too late.

    The scene then shifts to Bo, who watches as the ship is tilting downward and beginning it's descent into the dangerous, stormy waters. Hope and Abe pray the rest of their loved ones got off. Bo looks at all the other lifeboats and shows a face of horror. Frankie asks what is wrong. Bo says they aren't far enough away. None of the lifeboats, including theirs. He yells out to everyone to keep their life vests on and to hang on. There is a good chance the ship will take all of them down with it. Hope, Frankie, Bo, Abe, Steve, Kayla, and all the guests on the other lifeboats all look on in horror as the cruise ship sinks before their very eyes. Bo yells out a final warning for everyone to hang on as the ship goes under, the force of which begins to pull at the lifeboats. Bo hangs on to Hope and tells her to hang on and don't let go as the scene goes white...

    and then fades to black.

    ON THE NEXT SALEM LIVES..

    OCTOBER 4, 2007: EPISODE #343: UPWARD BOUND


    UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL

    Victor walks over and stands at Greta’s bedside as Maggie stands near the door. He puts his hands on Frankie’s shoulders as they both pray that she pulls through after flatlining. The doctors and nurses work on Greta and Victor turns slowly and looks at Maggie, who looks at him with dread on her face. Victor then turns back around and leans into Frankie, saying that everything will be just fine. Frankie remains silent as Greta is finally starting to stabilize.

    Frankie walks over to Maggie and she hugs him as Victor follows him with a question. How much does Frankie care for his daughter? Frankie says his feelings for her are friendship, he thinks. But, he isn’t sure. Victor says his daughter is very lucky to have such a man of honor in her life. He hopes that whatever happens, when Greta comes out of this, that Frankie will treat her well. Frankie shakes Victor’s hand, saying that he has nothing to worry about.

    As Maggie and Frankie go to get something to eat, Victor walks over to Greta’s bed in the now darkened room, and sits down at her bedside. He looks at Greta, lovingly, as he asks for a favor.....

    Victor: Oh, my darling Greta. If only your sister were here. Isabella had the same strength you do. She was a wonderful soul and my life has been so empty without her. I hope she is here now, helping you get better. Oh please, my precious girl. Wake up, so we can have a life together.......

    Before it’s too late for me.

    Victor rests his head on Greta’s arm as his starts crying quietly.

    Meanwhile, in the ER, Lucas fights for his life as the doctors work on him with Joelle standing by, watching in horror. Rich then leads her out into the hallway, saying that they will pump his stomach but that his vitals are strong and that he should be fine. But, he tells her she cannot stay in the ER and has to wait out in the hallway. What Joelle doesn’t know is that someone is watching her from the elevators around the corner. She can feel eyes on her but, when she turns around, she sees no one.

    After awhile, she is given permission to finally see Lucas. Lucas looks up from his bed and tells Joelle that she is nuts if she thinks she’s going to skate for trying to poison him. When Joelle feigns ignorance, an enraged Lucas tells her to go to the office and get her [!@#$%^&*] out of there. She’s fired as of right now. Joelle starts crying, begging Lucas not to fire her. He yells at her that this is just the beginning of what she will face. As soon as he gets out of the hospital, he is bringing her up on charges for attempted murder. Lucas is so angered that a nurse comes running in trying to get him to calm down but all he can do is scream at Joelle to get out of his eyesight.

    Joelle runs form the room in shame and, once she is out in the hallway, she starts to compose herself. She then thinks to herself that she has one other option and then walks briskly to the pay phones. As she picks up the receiver, she now doesn’t realize that the same person who was watching her before is watching her again as she frantically makes her phone call.


    SALEM AIRPORT

    At the airport terminal, Abby stops her wheelchair and turns around, looking at Jack and Billie for the last time. Jack walks over and bends down, saying that everything will be ok. Abby smiles, knowing that he will be fine and that Billie will take care of him. It’s the first time she has felt ok about leaving him since her mother died, which makes Billie smile, as she fights back a tear. Abby tells Jack to give JJ a kiss for her and then says that Jack needs to just tell people she’s off visiting family in Europe, to which Jack very reluctantly agrees to. Abby assures him that with Chelsea away, it should be easy to do. Forrest and Dr. Dobbs then walk up, saying that Abby will be just fine, as Forrest goes and stands behind Abby’s wheelchair.

    Jack stares at Forrest with anger, saying that nothing better happen to his child or else. Billie asks Forrest if he heard what Jack just said and Forrest smiles, saying that they will have no worries. Jack can’t force her to stay but is worried about what is happening. Abby tells him everything will be ok.

    Forrest leads Abby onto the plane as she turns and waves goodbye to them. As she disappears into the private jet, Jack tries to run past security and stop the plane but Billie and more airport security hold him back. Jack can’t take his eyes off the plane as the scene fades back into the plane. Forrest sits next to an apprehensive Abby and takes her hand, telling her everything will be alright. Abby smiles back at Forrest as the scene once again shifts to the airport. Billie holds Jack in her arms and tells him that everything will be just fine.

    The plane takes off as Jack silently tells his little girl goodbye and, as he and Billie watch it disappear into the sky and out of sight, the scene slowly fades to black.


    ORPHEUS' HIGH RISE APARTMENT

    Sami paces back and forth, frustrated at not being able to find out if Lucas is ok or not, as Orpheus first knocks and then enters her room. She demands to know what he had that bitch do to Lucas. Orpheus smiles, saying that whatever it is, he is sure that Lucas enjoyed it. Sami goes to slap Orpheus once again but he catches her by the wrist and angrily states.......

    Orpheus: No more of that garbage, my dear. The ONLY reason why I haven’t given the order to kill both your lover and your son is that I want to see you suffer first. Only then........will their lives be snuffed out.
    Sami: Orpheus, please, listen to me. My father, as you know, still has many connections from the time he thought he was Forrest Alamain. He is also a former member of the I.S.A.
    Orpheus: My favorite people........
    Sami: I can GUARANTEE your safety as you make your way out of the states if you let me go and don’t hurt my family. Now..........you can’t turn that down, can you?

    Orpheus lets Sami’s wrist go, places his hands into his pockets, and walks past her. After a few moments, he turns around, walks over to Sami, gently places his hand on her cheek, smiles at her and says to her, in a soft voice.....

    Orpheus: Samantha...........I can already get in and out of the country. What kind of fool do you take me for, WOMAN?!
    Sami: You really don’t want me to answer that question.........
    Orpheus: SILENCE!!! I’m SICK of saying it so this will be the last time. Roman and your family will pay for everything he’s cost me. Even if it takes me the rest of my natural life. NOW.........why don’t you sit in here and think of that........WHILE I MAKE PLANS TO WIPE OUT YOUR ENTIRE FAMILY!!!!

    Orpheus storms out of the room as Sami tries to stop him and pounds on the door as Orpheus slams it shut. And then, a very angry Orpheus orders one of his men to get in contact with their man in the Far East. He tells him that it is time to up the stakes.......

    Orpheus: And set a trap for one Roman Brady!!!

    ON THE NEXT SALEM LIVES...

    JACK LEARNS IF HE HAS A SON!!!

    1/18/05 (starting today the episodes will be much shorter except when something big happens or I need to explain character motives or something like that. I am sorry these keep getting later and later but its been busy lately. Everything will be up to date by Sunday and I will post some casting news and notes. Thanks for reading and please do comment so I know I am doing ok or not.)

    -Kate is on her way in to the hospital when she runs into Billie. Billie breaks down in her mother’s arms as Kate says it looks like she is returning the favor since Billie comforted her last night. Billie tells her mom everything and Kate says that no one has the right to blame Chelsea and her and Bo. Its something that happened and Chelsea is not at fault. Kate feels bad that Billie will never get a full chance at being a mother since you always make mistakes but learn as you go along. Kate says Billie must feel like she did when she thought Austin and Billie were dead. Billie says that her and Bo made too many mistakes and says that Hope an everyone else is right: Chelsea got away with everything and its their fault for spoiling her. She tells her mother that she should have stopped her from giving Chelsea everything as Kate realizes that it was a mistake but she loved her granddaughter and wanted to show it since she missed out on so much. Billie says her and Bo felt the same and that blinded them all and now look what has happened. Kate is about to go inside and defend Chelsea but Billie tells her not too. There is already enough going on and there doesn’t need to be anymore trouble. They both agree to on in the hospital and check on Claire and stay away from everyone else.

    -Belle is singing lullabies to Claire and is daydreaming about being with Shawn and their baby. She vows to make her dream come true. She is shocked when Kate and Billie show up. Belle reminds Kate that she has nothing to say to her after what she did as Kate tells Belle that its not the time to rehash everything. Even though Claire isn’t Phillip’s, the family grew to care for Claire and wanted to make sure she was alright. Belle is stunned but wants to know why Kate would still care for Shawn’s daughter as Billie defends her mom and says that they do really care about Claire and know that Phillip does still too. Belle tells them about Phillip’s visit and Mimi’s pregnancy. Kate wonders if maybe Phillip will win after all since he is still married to Belle and Mimi is having Shawn’s baby. She decides not to interfere though since every time she did in the past her children got hurt. Kate blames Bell for Phillip’s pain as Bell points the finger back at Kate and her interference as Kate flashes back to when she realized how her actions for hurting her children and to Billie putting some of the blame on her for spoiling Chelsea. Billie asks her if she is ok as Kate doesn’t respond and her eyes start to well up with tears as she is realizing more and more what her actions have done. Claire’s machines then go berserk as Belle begins to panic. A doctor and nurse examine Claire and give Belle the news that she is failing fast and needs a liver now. He warns Belle that it may be all ready too late. Belle breaks down as Billie decides that Shawn needs to be told and goes after him. Kate sees Belle crying and embraces her and comforts her. She says the past needs to be forgotten right now so that they can hope and pray for Claire, who she still loves and cares about. Belle agrees and thanks Kate and comments on how nice it is to see Kate act like a real caring human being and like a real mother figure. Kate smiles and thanks Belle as they look in on Claire.

    Carrie, Sami, Austin, Victor, Abe, Celeste, Bonnie, and Marlena all join the Brady’s and Horton’s in the chapel as Fr. Jansen is there and thinks it’s a good idea for everyone to gather to pray for Claire, John, and Zach. Marlena says that Belle didn’t want to leave Claire so she won’t be joining them. Victor comforts Caroline, which Roman spies and makes him angry but Bonnie calms him and comforts him. Caroline reminds Victor of his promise to stay away from her for now. He just wants to be there for her as Caroline asks him to keep his distance again. Austin is stunned when Carrie sits over with Caroline instead of him. Sami says it nothing but she along with Austin wonders what is going on with her. Max and Abby continue to comfort each other over Chelsea and everything going on, as do Frankie and jen. Alice, Doug, and Julie sit together as Marlena sits with them. Roman sits with Bonnie, who holds his hand. Mimi arrives and sits with Shawn. She tells him the doctor said she needs to take it easy but that she can now leave the hospital. He holds her as they comfort each other. Abe and Celeste sit near Bo and Hope as Celeste grasps Abe’s hand as he thanks her for her support. He tells her she can go to Lexie too as Celeste tells Abe that she feels Alexandra is doing fine on her own and if she needs her she will call. Besides, they just saw each other this morning when she left the house. She will check in on her later. They comfort each other. Bo and Hope sit next to each other and are very cold towards each other. Finally, as the prayer service progresses, Bo takes Hope’s hand as she breaks down in his arms begging God to spare JT and to help Claire and John. She then hears Bo pray that Chelsea rest in peace and she gives him a angry look but decides its not the time to fight. The service then ends after everyone has a moment of silent prayer while holding hands. Billie then arrives which angers Hope. Bo holds her back as everyone is stunned that she would show up given what is happening. Billie informs everyone about Claire as Hope tells Shawn to go since that is his daughter. He says he will check in on JT every hour. Mimi goes with him and tells Bonnie she will check in later. Billie then turns and leaves to go back to Kate as Hope tells her to stay away from her family and her husband. Billie turns around and looks at Hope as Hope realizes Billie has admitted to herself that everyone is right about Chelsea and what made her the way she was. She calls Billie on that as Billie tells her that its not the time and place to go over that. Bo tells Hope to calm down but Hope tells Bo that if Billie has realized it its time for him to do so too and to admit to himself the mistakes he made. He asks Hope what she wants from him and says he knows he screwed up with Chelsea but that doesn’t mean she is too blame for everything. Just as Hope is about to answer, JT’s doctor comes in and says that he has taken a turn for the worse. If he doesn’t get a heart soon, he will die. Hope breaks down in Bo’s arms as everyone else comforts each other.

    A drunk Phillip is driving out of town in the car he stole. He is sure no one will find him until he is ready and then he will come back and get his revenge. His car is swerving as he drives quickly through the quiet neighborhood streets near Bo and Hope’s house. Lucas is drunk as well and is driving through some quiet streets, intent on ending it all and committing suicide. He remembers there being a ravine on the outskirts of the neighborhood he is driving through and decides to just crash his car off it and down the ravine and into the river. He knows its close to Bo and Hope’s but he is sure no one will be able to stop him. His swerving car drives furiously through the streets. Maggie, who is badly drunk and disoriented, is driving furiously to find Zach. She wonders if maybe he wandered him since he does know the way and used to walk home with his friend and his friend’s mother from pre-school. She heads toward the house with her car swerving back and forth and out of control like Lucas’ and Phillip’s. Zach is wandering the streets and we see him jump and get scared with every sound he hears (even crickets). He ends up across the street from his house and starts to cross when his handmade friendship bracelet that Marcus Morrison gave him falls off his wrist and into the road. He goes back to get it just as a swearing, speeding, out of control car heads towards him. He tries to get out of the way but the car swerves with him and hits him. He ends up on the side of the street, clutching the bracelet. The driver does stop at the stop sign (we don’t see the person and can’t make out the car due to the dark) but after a few moments the car drives off continuing to speed and swerve as we hear the car driving off as the camera pans on Zach laying on the street. The screen then fades to white and then to black.

    On the Next Days...

    Julie makes a shocking discovery. Two cars collide. Lexie can’t believe her eyes. Hope gets more bad news.

    DAYS RED HOT SUMMER PREVIEW



    "The summer is going to be amazing," says Executive Producer Ned Yadroc. "We held our previews until now because we wanted to shock the audience and we did. Now it is time to give them a glimmer of what is to come, which is extraordinary. By the end of the summer, lives will changed and things will never be the same in Salem. Fans should look at a return to the Days of old by the Fall and they will know what I mean when we get to that point."


    Mastermind/Island Plot: The mastermind behind Captive Island and the current chaos in Salem is revealed on July 5. "We knew the fans hated the end to Captive Island and felt there were plot holes and that it was contrived, " says Yadroc. "Fans will get all the answers and will learn how far this thing goes back. This thing even stretches into the 80's and it will be a huge reward to fans who followed the show over the years and followed the stores from 2003-present. The mastermind has a huge vendetta against a good chunk of Salem and is in partnershp with the Dimeras. I think fans will love the Dimera's not being behind this or Captive Island. It is someone that should have been revealed as the mastermind in 2004-it is the best and really the most obvious choice for me as fan. It is predictable but it makes sense and that should make fans happy. The island plot concludes in mid-summer with huge battles, deaths, revelations, and much more. It will be epic."

    John/Marlena: "They are at the center of everything this summer, especially the island. The love between Marlena and John is what is needed to save Marlena. Fans will see how far she is gone when she attacks a few of her own children. It is very emotional and John will have to make an agonizing choice. There will be a powerful, dramatic standoff that will leave fans in tears," says Yadroc.

    Austin/Carrie/Lucas/Sami: Carrie and her baby are in peril and are saved by a man from the past. Carrie and Sami's stalker is revealed on July 5 and this will be the start of a huge story. Carrie's baby will play a huge part in this story. Meanwhile, Austin hides from Lucas the fact that he slept with Carrie and could be the baby's father. Meanwhile, life endangering events on the island change Sami and her relationships with others. "The relationships between Sami/John and Sami/Lexie will be hugely affected," shares Yadroc.

    Abe/Lexie/Tek/Celeste: Lexie and Sami's relationship begins to change on the island. "Abe will learn about the affair by time they leve the island and that will take all of them into their next story once they return to Salem," Yadroc reveals. One of them does not make it back to Salem. Celeste will become a huge part of the Carver's story in the Fall.

    Belle/Shawn/Mimi/Philip: With Brandt leaving, this foursome has big days ahead. "The truth about Claire is revealed on the island. This will not end the way fans think it will. Expect a stunning twist. As for Philip, you will see him this summer but it will be limited until the actor leaves for good by summer's end," says Yadroc.

    Jack/Jennifer/Frankie: "With Missy Reeves leaving, fans can look for a stunning end to this tale. Also, look for Shane's mystery stalker to play a huge part in this story once she arrives on the island by way of Bo's boat."

    Abby/Max/Chelsea: "Fans started seeing a triangle here after Josh died and now they will get one. Abby and Max bond and the climax of the island story brings them closer. Chelsea will deal with her rape and will learn a stunning secret her self. Whether she tells anyone else that secret is the big question."

    Bo/Hope/Billie/Patrick: "Chelsea will admit to everything she did to Bo and Hope upon returning to Salem. Why you ask? Let's just say it has to do with that little secret only she knows. Patrick's past will come out as the fans will learn a stunning secret about his past. Billie will move out of this story by the end of the summer and will move into a new story of her own. Bo and Hope will try to patch things up but this is far from over."

    Maggie/Mickey/Victor/Caroline/Shawn Sr: "Maggie and Victor forge a bond on the island and grow close. Caroline and Victor have a secret that comes out and that will change everything. The climax of the island story will be the beginning of huge story for these vets. Maggie makes a choice that she will have to live with for the rest of her life and that will send her into a huge story."

    Nicole/Eric/Greta: "It is obvious Eric is hiding something and it becomes apparent something is wrong with him. Nicole and Greta team up to discover what is going on. Greta's father will be revealed as well."

    Misc.: Kate and Roman learn a shocking truth. Roman will also face the reveal of a life-altering secret. Look for two former young stars to turn up on the island this summer. Bonnie makes selfless move. Shane comes face to face with the woman who arrived with him and stalked him and is stunned by her identity.

    JANUARY 14, 2008-EPISODE #414: ONE SWEET DAY


    UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL

    The camera shows an overheard shot of Frankie's room and Greta lying on his chest as nurses turn off the monitors and start cleaning up the area. The camera then pans down and over to Mike, who is telling Caroline how sorry he is. Caroline nods, saying she knows Lexie and him did the best they could. She embraces him and thanks him and Lexie for all that they did.

    Abby walks over to Max and puts her arms around him, asking if he is ok. A grief-stricken Max tells Abby he can't believe that Frankie is gone. Abby embraces him. Jack goes over to Billie and asks if she is ok. Billie tells him it's hard to believe. Jack hates that it's always the good that die before their time and adds that Frankie did not deserve this. Billie agrees and adds that Greta didn't either and now the guilt will eat away at her for the rest of her life.

    Victor and Maggie overhear and Victor says that is exactly what he is worried about. They all look over at Greta lying on Frankie's body. Maggie notes that she hasn't moved or said anything since her outburst after Frankie was declared dead. Victor wonders if they should move her and have her sedated. Lexie interjects and says it's ok. Greta just needs time and she will make sure the nurses leave Frankie there until Greta is ready. Victor thanks Lexie.

    Abe walks over to Celeste and thanks her for not making a spectacle of herself even thought she knew what was happening. Celeste nods, saying there was nothing she could do to stop it and more pain is yet to come. Abe looks at her with worry as Lexie walks past him and out onto a balcony. Abe notices her upset and says he is going to go check on Lexie.

    Meanwhile, Bo and Kim think they should go check on Kayla and pass on the bad news. Caroline admits she almost forgot that another one of her children is fighting for her life and her child's life. She thinks it's a good idea to go check on Kayla. Carrie, Sami, and Belle say they will go with them. Billie suggests Jack go be with Steve. Jack admits he is worried about Greta but Billie says she can stay back with Greta. His brother needs him. Jack tells Billie to let him know if she or Greta needs anything.

    Victor and Maggie also agree to stay back with Billie to monitor Greta. Abby suggests to Max they go check on Kayla too. Max nods, saying he can't lost his sister too. Not today. They walk off, leaving Victor and Maggie behind with Billie as they watch Greta, with her head rested on Frankie's chest.

    Abe enters the balcony and finds Lexie in tears. He asks about what is wrong. Lexie says she's fine. Abe points out he can see she has been crying and asks what is wrong. Abe tells her that if it's about Frankie, she did everything she could.

    Lexie: Did I, Abe? You know, I've just returned to medicine and I'm already questioning myself.
    Abe: Why? What else could you have done?
    Lexie: Been honest. I could've stood there and told the Brady's what was really going on.
    Abe: What do you mean?
    Lexie: I was in surgery with Frankie, Abe. I saw the damage. It was extensive. Survival was a long shot from the start yet, Mike and I stood right in that room (points to the waiting area inside) and told Frankie's friends and family there was still hope.
    Abe: I don't see the problem.
    Lexie: His loved ones needed to hear the truth. Needed me to be straight with them. Blunt, even if it hurt them. You would think it would be easy for me, given how I treated all my friends and family this past year. I'm a Dimera, for heaven's sake. I should've been honest. I should've came right out and said it. Mike and I both knew it. (beginning to cry) He never had a chance.

    Abe takes Lexie in his arms.

    Abe: Lexie, that person you were this past year was not you. You may have Dimera blood but that woman that turned her back on her family is not you.
    Lexie: I don't know about that.
    Abe: I do. You just wanted them to have hope. There's nothing wrong with that. You've always been like that as a doctor.
    Lexie: This was different, Abe. From the minute we opened him up, I knew. Mike knew. We all knew. The more we explored the damage, the more certain it became what the result would be. One of my advisers in medical school once told me there are two kinds of doctors. You have the ones who want to give the family just the slightest chance of hope, at the very least. Then, you have the doctors who just walk out and give it to you right then and there. No BS. Just the truth. This is what the situation is. I'm sorry. It hurts like hell but isn't the truth supposed to hurt?
    Abe: Sometimes. Lex, you can't help the way you are and sometimes circumstances will define who you are in that moment and what you do. No one's perfect and there will always be things you feel you could've done better. We all wish we could have do-overs. I'm a cop and your a doctor. The mistakes we make can be tragic We just need to learn from the mistakes we do make and hope and pray that we make as little of them as possible.
    Lexie: I just feel like Mike and I gave them false hope.
    Abe: They knew, Lex. They knew there was a good possibility. His condition was serious from the get-go. It wasn't as if he had a good chance and took a turn for the worse. You did fine, Lex. Trust me.
    Lexie: I feel as though I could've done better. I think I can do better.
    Abe: Then do better. The thrive to improve and succeed is a great thing to have. I am proud of you for how you are taking control of your life and trying to be the best you can be.

    Lexie looks at Abe stunned.

    Lexie: Proud? Wow...
    Abe: Yep. I will always care about you, Lex. We have a son and I love you. I always will.
    Lexie: Thank you. Thanks for listening and for the advice. And for caring. You don't know how much I wish I could take back from the last year when it comes to how I treated you. I was horrible.
    Abe: Like I said before, we all make mistakes. We can't always get back what we lost or fix the damage done but we can learn. We can take what we learned from our mistakes and grow. Your already doing that, Lexie. That is all that matters.

    Lexie thanks Abe and says she needs to be getting back inside. He agrees and says he is going to go check on Kayla. She says she is heading that way to and then walk back inside together.

    Meanwhile, Caroline is talking with Marlena, Stephanie, and Adrienne as Hope and Steve stand away in a corner, not wanting to upset anyone. Marlena can't believe Frankie is gone. Stephanie goes over to Max and embraces him, saying she is so sorry. Jack walks over to Steve and asks if he is ok. Steve nods and apologizes to Jack for his loss. He knows him and Frankie were close. Jack points out he knows Steve cared about him too. Steve smiles and says he did but he can't comfort the family. He isn't on their Christmas card list right now. Jack pats him on the back.

    Kim wonders how they are going to tell Kayla about Frankie. She will want to know so she can mourn and there is going to be no right time to tell her without her being upset. Lexie, Abe, and Celeste join the crowd. Mike and Rich come out of Kayla's room. Lexie goes over to talk to them. Caroline asks Rich if he thinks Kayla could deal with the stress of Frankie's death. Rich shakes his head, saying the chances aren't good. Caroline puts her head down just as Kayla's voice can be heard.

    Mike opens the door and Kayla looks right at everyone outside her room, saying she could see them all out there and asks what is going on. She says they all look like they lost a puppy or something. Everyone is silent. Kayla says she can see something is wrong and knew it when she saw them all out there looking upset and worried. Caroline says they are worried for her.

    Kayla says she is fine for the moment and Rich told her she is stable so whatever seems to have upset all of them is not that. They would be happy she is hanging in there right now. Kayla thinks out loud and says there is only one other reason they would all be together and looking so depressed. She asks if Frankie has taken a turn for the worse. Carrie, Belle, and Sami turn away. Bo, Hope, Steve, and Max put their heads down.

    Kayla says they are all scaring her. She looks at Caroline, who is fighting back tears. Kayla asks her mother what is going on. Rich tells Lexie to have a team on standby. Caroline is silent. Kayla tells Caroline she knows something bad has happened. She looks at Caroline, who has tears streaming down her face. At that moment, Kayla begins to realize what may be going on and begins to shake her head, saying:

    Kayla: No...oh no. Not Frankie. No!!

    Caroline and Bo race in to comfort her as Lexie, Rich, and Mike race in, leading a medical team. Caroline takes Kayla in her arms and says she is so sorry as Kayla lets out a bloodcurdling "No!!" Kayla breaks down in her mother's arms as her monitors begin to go off. Rich orders everyone out of the room.

    Caroline refuses to leave her daughter but Mike tells Caroline they all have to go. A hysterical Kayla then yells out in pain several times before passing out. Kim wheels out as Bo pulls a worried Caroline out with him. Everyone watches as the team works to save Kayla and her unborn baby as the scene shifts to...

    A worried Victor, Maggie, and Billie as they watch Greta, who has yet to move. A nurse comes back. Maggie thinks it's time to move her. Billie shakes her head, saying they should give her more time. The camera then pans over to Greta as (MARIAH CAREY AND BOYS 2 MEN's "ONE SWEET DAY" BEGINS TO PLAY IN THE BACKGROUND.-CLICK HERE TO PLAY AS YOU READ THE FINAL SCENES of the episode montage!!!)

    Greta: Your so cold. I don't think the blankets are enough. Maybe...

    Greta then gets out of her wheelchair, grimacing in pain as Victor watches and nearly races over but Greta recovers. Greta then lies on the bed with Frankie and runs her fingers through his hair with one hand and puts her other arm around him. Tears well in her eyes once again as she says:

    Greta: Is that better? It is, isn't it. I know I feel warmer already. I just want...you to be comfortable.

    Greta then looks down at Frankie's face and caresses it with her hand. Tears begin to stream down her face as she lays her head down right next to his and the scene shifts to Mike, Lexie, and Rich working with their team to save Kayla and her unborn child. Rich yells out the blood pressure and heart rate are way too high. Mike yells out they are losing the both of them.

    The camera then pans around to Hope praying, Bo and Kim holding hands with Caroline and comforting her, Abby comforting Max, Carrie and Sami looking on in horror along with Belle and Marlena, Celeste trembling as a worried Abe looks at her and she shakes her head and tears stream down her face, Adrienne comforting a distraught Stephanie, and a worried Steve praying he doesn't lose his wife and child as Jack puts his arm around him. Caroline then looks to the heaven's above and says:

    Caroline (In tears): Please God...not her too. Shawn...Frankie...help us. Help your sister and her child. Please....

    The scene then shifts back to Greta as Victor, Maggie, and Billie watch. Billie and Maggie have tears steaming down their face as they watch Greta hold Frankie in her arms. Greta then sits up and looks at Frankie.

    Greta: It wasn't supposed to be like this. We just...we didn't have a chance. We deserved a chance.

    Greta begins to break down again.

    Greta: How could you do this? How could you leave me? You were supposed to fight! Fight to live. What good is you saving me if you are just going to leave me? With this guilt...with this pain. My life...I feel empty without you. I fell in love with you, Frankie. And my greatest regret...will always be not realizing it sooner. Not telling you before it was too late. So much time...was wasted. This is all my fault. I killed you. You died...saving my meaningless life. You died...you died for me.

    Greta then breaks down and begins to pound on Frankie's body.

    Greta: YOU DIED FOR ME!! WHY?! WHY?! WHY YOU?! FRANKIE...I LOVE YOU!! I LOVE YOU!!

    The camera then pans up for an overheard shot of Greta breaking down laying next to Frankie as MARIAH CAREY AND BOYS 2 MEN's "ONE SWEET DAY" montageends as the scene slowly fades to black.

    OCTOBER 23, 2007: EPISODE # 356: EYES WIDE OPEN

    PIER

    Doug is sitting alone, thinking about the advise Jean gave him at the Salem Inn last night. Doug then thinks back to his wedding to Julie.

    DOUG'S FLASHBACK-CLICK HERE!!!

    Doug begins to tear up and wonders if there is anything left between them to fight for. He then thinks about the advice Jean gave him and tells himself he knows what he must do. He takes out his cell phone and begins to dial.


    HORTON HOUSE

    Alice and Julie are sitting in the kitchen eating breakfast when the phone rings. Julie tells Alice she will get it and is shocked when she answers to hear Doug on the phone. Doug asks Julie if she can meet him at pier 11 this morning. Julie tells Doug that Lucas is having a meeting with Joelle to address her accusations and that the whole family is going to support him so she can't make it. Alice motions to Julie, who puts down the phone and asks Alice what she wants.

    Alice tells Julie to go ahead. Maggie can come and get her. Alice tells Julie she can't give up the chance to work things out with Doug. Julie asks if she is sure. Alice nods, saying the family could use some good news right now and she may be the one to bring it to them. Julie says she hopes so and then picks the phone back up, telling Doug she will meet him in an hour at pier 11. Doug tells Julie it sounds good and hangs up.

    Alice tells Julie the fact that he called and wants to talk is a good sign. Julie agrees, saying she finally sees a ray of hope. Alice takes Julie's hand and tells her to just have faith and it will all work out. Julie and Alice embrace as Julie says she will try and thanks her for her support and comfort. Alice smiles, saying it's her job. They both laugh.


    KIRIAKIS MANSION

    Maggie is lying in Victor's bed when she hears a rattling noise. She sits up to find Victor standing over her with a covered tray. Victor smiles and says that breakfast is served. Maggie is shocked. Victor says he made it himself. It's the first time in at least 10 years that he even stepped in the kitchen. Maggie is impressed and asks Victor why he did this. Victor says he wanted to surprise her because he wants to make everyday they spend together special because he loves her. Plus, he wanted to give cook a day off. They both laugh.

    Maggie begins to dig into her tray and asks Victor if he is just trying to kiss up to her after that shootout with Stefano and Orpheus last night. Victor asks how Maggie found out. Maggie tells him she overheard Nico talking about it with the head gatekeeper. Victor reminds Maggie of their agreement. Maggie says she remembers and that she isn't judging him or lashing out. She just wanted to know if that is why he was doing this for her. Victor smiles and then kisses her passionately, telling Maggie that is why he did it. Maggie smiles and kisses him back as one thing leads to another and the two of them begin to make love.


    UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL

    Caroline, Max, Stephanie, and Billie arrive at the hospital, wondering why Frankie called them there. Frankie then races around the corner, thanking them for meeting him. Billie asks Frankie what is going on. Frankie says he doesn't know. Rich called and said that he had big news on Greta's condition so Frankie decided to call all of them down like they said they wanted him too. Jack then appears, saying he is sorry he is late. Billie turns and looks at him and the two of them lock eyes. Frankie says it's fine as Rich hasn't been around yet.

    Just then, Rich appears from Greta's room. Frankie asks what is going on. Rich smiles and tells them all to come in and see for themselves. Everyone enters to see Greta turning her head toward them with her eyes open. An overjoyed Frankie races over to her and kisses her forehead while also embracing her. He tells Greta he is so happy she has finally come back to them. Caroline whispers to Billie that it's pretty clear Frankie is quite taken with Greta. Billie says she knows and that she hopes Frankie tells her how he feels. Caroline tells Billie she is going to call Victor.

    Once Caroline leaves, Jack comes over to Billie, commenting on how great it is that Greta is ok. Billie smiles and says it is. Things go silent as Jack asks Billie if she has calmed down. Billie says she's fine. Jack nods and says that's good. He tells Billie that he would like to talk to her later in a calm manner about things so they can work everything out. Billie tells Jack she was calm last night until he started acting like an idiot who refuses to listen to reason. Jack tells Billie that it's not the place to argue. Billie tells Jack she doesn't care and then mentions talking later. She asks why they can't talk now. Jack explains he has a lunch date with Elizabeth and Alex. Billie turns away in disgust and takes a deep breath. Jack reminds Billie that Alex is his son and he needs to bond with him. Billie tells Jack she gets that but then stops herself before going on. She tells Jack she can't deal with this. It feels like she is talking to a brick wall.

    Billie goes over to Frankie and Greta. Billie tells Greta she is so happy she is awake and that she will come by later and visit so they can catch up. Greta whispers "thank you." Frankie explains that Greta is going to need rehab to help regain some motor skills and to help get her communicating again. Billie says it's understandable and tells Greta to let her know if she needs anything. Greta nods. Billie then motions to Frankie to follow her. Frankie does and asks what's up. Billie urges Frankie to tell Greta how he feels about her. It's been obvious for months and life is too short, as they both know, to wait another day, let alone moment. Frankie isn't sure he can and doesn't want anyone to get hurt. He doesn't want to lose his friendship with Greta.

    Billie thinks about her and Jack and tells Frankie that it doesn't matter. She uses Jack and her as an example, noting that it may not be the best example with their problems right now. Frankie thinks it's too much of a risk. Billie tells Frankie he doesn't have to worry about a make version of Elizabeth showing up to cause problems. Neither he or Greta has any past loves out there with Eric and Jennifer both gone. Frankie tells Billie he will think about it. Billie smiles and embraces Frankie, telling him she will come by and check on Greta later. Frankie tells Billie he will see her at Lucas and Joelle's meeting. Billie nods and walks by Jack without acknowledging him. Jack turns and watches Billie leave and sighs.

    Outside the room, Billie looks in and watches Jack with Frankie and Greta. She wipes tears from her eyes and says that she just doesn't know what else to do. She walks away as the scene shifts to the nurses station, where Caroline is talking to Victor. She tells him she is sorry to interrupt but just thought he should know and the doctors had tried to reach him and failed. Victor says he was busy all night and had a good part of his men dealing with a situation so things were in chaos. Victor thanks her for telling him and says he will be right over. Victor hangs up and Maggie, who is still in their bed, asks what is going on. Victor smiles and tells her Greta is awake. He tells Maggie he hates to cut their morning short but he really wants to see her. Maggie says it's no problem and that she will go with him. She then gets out of bed and and grabs some clothes as Victor thanks her and goes into the bathroom to begin getting ready.

    Meanwhile, Max and Stephanie leave Greta's room. Max says he is happy for Frankie. He was so worried about Greta. Stephanie says she can tell Frankie cares for Greta. Max tells Stephanie he wishes he could admit to both Greta and himself. Stephanie thinks he will in time. Max then mentions that he forgot to ask her if she has heard from Abby. Stephanie shakes her head, saying she figures she is still with friends. Max tells her he figured she would contact her since she is her cousin and admits he is a little worried. He just thinks it's suspicious she would take off shortly after Jack came home and in the midst of her therapy. Stephanie thinks it's weird too but can't find reason to worry.

    Max notes that Forrest is missing too and he just thinks it's strange. His gut tells him it's no coincidence. Stephanie asks if Max talked to Jack. Max says that Jack is the one that told him Abby was with friends when he called looking for her after she wasn't answering her cell. Max mentions that he got the sense that Jack seemed worried about something but it would just be an assumption to say that he was worried about Abby. He tells Stephanie that he isn't going to keep asking Jack because he has enough on his mind and he doesn't want to push. Stephanie tells Max she can't imagine Jack lying to him about Abby as there is no good reason for that. Max shakes his head in frustration and tells Stephanie he just can't shake the feeling something more is going on here and admits he doesn't like the feeling he's getting.


    Malibu, California

    Forrest comes into the kitchen carrying a bag while talking to Miranda on the cordless phone. Miranda can't believe he is just giving up and that he told Abby everything. Forrest tells her he had no choice. Abby overheard them and there was no way out of the situation. She's not stupid. An angry Miranda tells Forrest she knew something like this would happen and thinks Sylvia played a role because of her resemblance to Abby. Forrest thinks she did too. Miranda asks what he plans to do now. Forrest says he has already told Dr. Dobbs that he is leaving and for him to keep treating Abby. Forrest adds that he will continue to fund the cost of her therapy. Miranda tells Forrest she will have to call him back. There is something she has to do. She hangs up as Dr. Dobbs enters the kitchen. Meanwhile, Abby sits in her room near her bed. She recalls everything Forrest told her last night and her reaction and wonders if she has handled this all wrong.

    Dr. Dobbs asks if Forrest is sure about leaving. Forrest nods and asks if he told Abby. Dr. Dobbs says he told her through the door of her room. He assures him that she is still in there but remains silent. Forrest thought that was the case. He then enters the hallway and walks to the door of Abby's room. He tells her through the door that he is leaving now and she doesn't have to worry about him being around anymore. The ISA will likely take a new approach and he assures her that Dr. Dobbs will continue working with her and that he will take care of the payment. Forrest tells Abby he does care for her and that he has enjoyed the past few months with her. He considered her a dear friend and promises her this was never about her looking like Sylvia or some other ulterior motive. It was simply about protecting her. Forrest says he just hopes she can understand that in time and apologizes for lying to her.

    Forrest then turns away and picks up his bags. He thanks Dr. Dobbs for his help and hands him an envelope full of cash, telling him that should take care of everything. Dr. Dobbs wishes him luck and promises that Abby will be well taken care of. Abby is listening to everything behind her door and wonders if she was too harsh and not understanding enough. Just then, the phone rings. Dr. Dobbs answers it. It's Miranda, who tells Dr. Dobbs who she is and to put Abby on the phone. Dr. Dobbs tells her that Abby has locked herself in her room. Miranda asks if there is a phone in her room to which Dr. Dobbs replies there is but Forrest and hims disabled all the phones but the main phone so she couldn't get away. Miranda just tells him to put her on the phone.

    Forrest asks Dr. Dobbs what is going on. Dr. Dobbs fills him in and tells Abby she has a phone call. He lies and says it's her father. Abby is shocked and opens the door slightly, asking if this is a trick. Dr. Dobbs hands her the phone and tells her to see for herself. Abby takes the phone and closes the door completely, locking it. She answers the phone, acting as if it's Jack and telling him she misses him and wants to come him. Miranda tells Abby that she is not speaking with her father. She introduces herself and tells Abby that she is in great danger. Everything Forrest said is true and he is the best chance she has at protection for herself and her family.

    Miranda assures her that Forrest is on the up and up and that he really wants to bring his brother down. She tells Abby she must listen to Forrest and do what he says. Not just for her sake but her loved ones' sakes. Abby asks how she knows this isn't a trick. Miranda tells her she don't but she can always call Shane Donovan, who is her former partner, and he can vouch for who she is. She tells Abby to trust her instincts and that she is confident she will make the right decision. Miranda hangs up as a confused Abby wonders what to believe and what she should do.


    UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL

    Jack sits with Greta and tells her about all she has missed. Greta is shocked that Jack has a son. Jack smiles, saying he would like him to work at The Spectator too, if that is ok with her. Greta smiles, having difficulty talking. Jack tells her it's ok. They can talk about that when she is better. He tells her not to worry about The Specator and that he will take care of everything as he has all along. Greta thanks him. Jack looks at his watch and says he has to go but he will be back soon. Greta nods and they both embrace. Jack tells Frankie she is all his and leaves. Greta smiles at Frankie and tells him she could hear him talking to her all along. Frankie says he was there pretty much every day for the entirety of visiting hours. Greta laughs and says he must have no life. Frankie laughs and shakes his head, saying he cares about her. Greta and Frankie lock eyes. Frankie tells Greta there is something he has to tell her.

    Just then, Victor and Maggie walk in. Victor races right over to Greta and embraces her. He then kisses her hand and says it's such a relief to have her back. Greta says she could hear him talking to her too. He says he is her father and there ways nothing that would keep him from being by her side. Greta smiles. Victor says he looks forward to them spending time together now and promises he will not take this second chance they have for granted. Greta says she won't either. They hug as a tearful Maggie watches, telling Frankie how beautiful the scene is. Frankie agrees, saying Victor already seems to have fallen in love with his newfound daughter. Greta then remembers Frankie wanted to tell her something and tells Victor she is sorry but she wants to hear what he had to say since it seemed important. She calls to Frankie and asks what he wanted to say. Frankie tells her it's ok. It can wait. They have nothing but time now. Greta and Frankie both smile at each other as Greta turns her attention back to Victor.

    The scene then pans up to show Victor at Greta's bedside, talking to her, as Frankie and Maggie watch and then the scene fades to black.

    The MCF is examining his or her collage of pictures on the wall of the abandoned warehouse office closet. He or she points to and caresses a picture of Cassie.

    MCF (via voice changer): It's your time now, my dear.

    The MCF then examines the rest of the collage.

    MCF: The day is nearly here. Everyone is nearly in position. Soon, the ship will be here and the grand finale will commence. The day of reckoning is on the horizon...a day I have been waiting for and worked so hard for. I can only hope it satisfies my thirst for vengeance...for evening the score. Soon...

    The scene then shifts to Tony and Anna, who are still in their cell.

    Anna: I still can't beleive you were right about that person.
    Tony: Yeah but it's only the associate. If I could only find out who the ringleader of his circus is...

    Tony and Anna then hear someone coming and race to the cell door. They see the mysterious associate, who is wearing a suit yet again and has a black hood on again as well.

    Tony: Hey!!!
    Mysterious Associate (low and whispering tone): What?
    Tony: Is it really necessary to wear the hood? We know who you are. You also don't need to whisper
    Mysterious Associate: Hmm...your right. Force of habit. My apologies, Count. I am still quite upset with you pulling off my hood.

    The mysterious associate takes off his hood.

    Tony: Well, that's a shame but it's certainly is nice to look at you face to face. Now, why don't you tell us who your boss is? Afterall, we aren't going anywhere.

    The camera then pans up to reveal the identity of the mysterious associate as...

    THIS PERSON.

    Mysterious Associate: I can't do that, my friend. I am afraid you will just have to settle for knowing one half of the equation.

    The mysterious associate laughs sadistically as the screen fades into...

    THEY ARE ALL ALIVE...AGAIN!!!



    Days fans learned last Friday that Carrie Brady (Christie Clark) was alive and on Melaswen. On the Friday June 30 show, they learned she was not alone. That's right-Days has pulled another ruse and is bringing back all the presumed dead faves that have died in the past few weeks. This is said to be the reason why the show did not comment on the happenings of the past few weeks. Turns out there was no casting bloodbath-at least not yet (cast changes will be made this summer though) and that all the actors from the first victim James Reynolds (Abe) to the last victims Caroline and Shawn Brady (Peggy McKay and Frank Parker). Brock Pierce (Josh) will not be returning as his character has been written off and is really dead. Days fans should tune in for THE BIGGEST TWIST OF ALL THIS WEDNESDAY JULY 5 BEFORE DAYS BREAKS FOR WIMBLEDON. IT IS HUGE!!! (keep an eye out this week for promos and previews of this huge Days event).

    In other news, no word on the status of Kyle Brandt (Philip), who announced he was leaving in April but signed to finish up story. Fans know that he was one of the characters beleived dead but was not revealed alive on June 30. Days has no comment. Melissa Reeves, who also announced her intentions to leave, is set to depart this August. The show has moved her exit up for story purposes so look for a dramatic exit later this summer.

    No word also on John Clarke (Mickey), who only returned short term to finish the character's run. Days says the character will be featured in a limited fashion for the time being but won't elaborate at this point.

    Deidre Hall (Marlena) rumors continue to fly as the charcter continues to descend into madness. Days fans should look for Marlena to completely lose it in the weeks ahead, which will lead to a huge conclusion in this story by mid-summer. Hall's contract is up in August and there has been no comment on either front about her status yet.

    Fans should also watch out on Wednesday July 5 for the reveal of Carrie (Christie Clark) and Sami's (Alison Sweeney) stalker.

    Also, be on the lookout for an exclusive interview with the HW of Days (me LOL) about all the recent happening on the show. The show will finally put a rest to rumors and give you the answers you want to know to why go back to Melaswen, why make Tony Andre, etc. This interview will contain info to wet your appetities for the rest of the summer.

    Show starts out with Maggie, Caroline, Doug,, Julie, Hope, Bo, Jen, Frankie, Abby, Max, Bonnie, Roman and most of the others huddled around the bar reacting to Celeste’s vision and to fears that there loved ones were hurt. The Hortons are worried about Mickey, the Brady’s are worried about Shawn Sr., Lexie is privately worried about Tek and hasn’t told anyone yet about talking to him and his phone going dead, and Sami and Lucas are worried about Will who is out with friends.-
    -Maggie expresses to Alice, Hope, Bo, Jen, Frankie, and the others how worried she is about Mickey. Caroline says she feels the same way about Shawn Sr. The phone went dead and that loud bang gave her chills. Bo and Roman decide they need to go out and see what is going on. Hope wants to go to. Bonnie rolls her eyes but Romans tells her to stay put and that he will be back to get her. Bonnie doesn’t want to stay since no one there likes her and she is trying to show everyone that she has turned over a new leaf. She begs to go with Roman. He agrees. Lexie offers to go too (secretly thinking of Tek and recalling the loud crash and the phone going dead) since she is a doctor. Abe offers to go but Lexie insists he stay since he is blind and can’t help much (not knowing his sight is almost 100%). As Abe is about to tell her he can see, Lexie takes off with Roman, Bonnie, Hope, and Bo. Before leaving Hope recommends that everyone go home since the storm has let up for now and is supposed to pick up later. Doug and Julie decide to take Alice home and Jen, Frankie, Max, and Abby all agree to go with them to the Horton house to wait for news. They ask Maggie and Caroline to come too but Maggie says she needs to clean up and Caroline says she needs to help since it was there party so both insist they stay. They need to keep there mind off worrying. The others leave and say they will call if they hear anything as Maggie and Caroline say the same and hug each other and hope things are ok.

    -Lucas and Sami are both trying to reach Will. Neither is successful. They are both worried. Lucas reassures her everything is fine and comforts her. Austin jumps in and does the same which unnerves Lucas and Nicole. Carrie is off in the distance and recalls getting the call from Becky and learning about Austin being the one taking over her company. We then see a flashback to right after the phone call and Austin asking her if something is wrong (as Sami, Lucas, and Nicole look on with glee). Celeste’s scream and all the worry about Mickey, Shawn, Will, etc prevented her from confronting him. When they finally had time to talk, we hear Carrie tell Austin they need to talk but not now since she is worried about her nephew, grandpa, and Mickey. He agrees and they decide to talk once things calm down all. Flashback ends. Carrie has tears streaming down as Lucas comes over and aks her what is wrong. She says that now is not the time to discuss it with everything going on. He agrees to let it go. Austin then comes over which angers Lucas again and he lashes out at Austin for always trying to steal his thunder. Austin doesn’t know what he is talking about as Lucas calls him on comforting Sami one minute and then coming over to talk to Carrie while he was trying to do both things but got interrupted by him. Carrie breaks up the fight and thinks its time that they go home. Sami jumps in and says that she can’t she needs to look for Will. Austin and Carrie agree to help her as Austin asks her if she is ok. She says she is fine and Austin brings up the fact that she has been keeping her distance from him and only talked to him when she asked him to talk once things were calmer. She again says she is fine and says she wants to help find Will. Sami thanks Carrie as Carrie says they will both put their difference aside to find Will (as she privately puts what she knows about Austin aside to find Will as well). Lucas is left alone with Nicole who mentions that it looks like they are both outsiders as usual. Lucas has a depressed look on his face and decides that he will look for Will on his own and leaves as Nicole decides to go home and make her own drinks to celebrate the eventual breakup of Carrie and Austin and the future of Austin’s company and, possibly, her own future with Austin.

    -Abe tells Celeste he wants to go with Lexie and the others. Celeste disagrees since he only recently got his sight back. She also remembers her vision of disaster having something to do with Lexie and thinks maybe something may happen with Lexie and Tek. She tells Abe to stay put but Abe wants to go. Maggie and Caroline see this and decide they can’t wait any longer and tell Abe they want to go with him. Both women acknowledge their happiness with Abe having his sight back and ask if they can go with him since he can help them find out what may be going on since he is still commander technically. He agrees to let them come as Celeste says she will go to as she continues to have the vision of screaming people and fire and loud crashes. She decides to keep them again to herself recalling the panic that ensued at midnight when she screamed. The four are later in Celeste’s car and hear about a massive pileup at one of Salem’s busiest intersections during the height of the storm. Maggie looks at Caroline in horror as she realizes that Mickey and Shawn Sr had to go that way to return to Chez Rouge. Abe calms them and says that they will go to the accident scene and check it out first to see. Even if anyone they know was involved, it doesn’t mean they were hurt. They may just be backed up in traffic. Maggie and Caroline remember the crash they heard on the phone at midnight and Celeste’s vision and fear the worst as Abe looks at Celeste who looks at him, both knowing that the chances are high that Mickey and Shawn Sr may have been affected.

    -Jack and Greta return to their hideaway or what Jack calls their “lair.” Greta is still upset about the plan and she wants to tell Jen right away and can’t believe Jack dragged her off. Jack insists that Jen has a lot on her mind and reminds Greta of Celeste screaming at midnight and all the worry about Mickey and Shawn Sr. He says Jen is worried about her uncle and doesn’t need stress. He also says that she is getting closer to Frankie now and that his plan is working. He thanks great for everything she has done and for saving his life even though he is going to die anyway. Now he can at least make sure his plan works and that his family is set for life without him. He says that is all thanks to Greta. We then see a flashback of Jack drowning in his car. Then a man in scuba gear knocks on the window and helps Jack out of the car. He shares his air tank with him and gets him up to the surface and to shore. Once at shore, Jack looks up to see Greta who thanks the man for helping her. She says she had just cam back to Salem to visit John and the Hortons and to see him and his family. She heard he was dying and wanted to come and say goodbye and tell him that she forgave him. On her way to the Horton’s, she noticed what looked like a car floating in the water before she went up the bridge. She got out and went to one of the houses near the river and asks a man for help. He luckily had a scuba suit and she paid him to help her since it as dangerous. She knew it would take the authorities a long time to come and the car was already sinking so she knew it was her best chance to save someone. She was gonna call the authorities once the person or persons was saved or recovered. She didn’t realize it was Jack until the man was close to shore with Jack and she saw his face. We then see Jack fill her in on everything that has happened and his plan for Jen. He talks about his suicide attempts and then realizes that now he can fake his death and put his plan into action. He doesn’t need to kill himself. He can now spare his family pain. He begs Greta to help him and to pay off the man who rescued him to stay quiet. She is reluctant but Jack gets emotional and explains his reasons again and Greta being the good person she is agrees and pays the man off. Flashback ends. Jack also thanks her for renting this cabin in her name so they can stay close by in hiding to make sure everything he planned is working. Greta is still upset and reminds Jack that she has money and knows many big people in the medical field. He can still be cured but he will never know if he doesn’t try. Jack says its too late and that nothing can cure him. Greta insists that Jack tell Jen and together the three of them can find a cure. Jack refuses and reminds Greta of why he is doing this. Greta expresses how much she admires him but says that Jen, Abby, and JJ would want to be with him his last days. Jack still refuses. Greta then offers to make him a deal. She won’t tell Jen a thing if he leaves Salem with her and works with her to find a cure. His secret will be safe and him and her can travel the world to find a cure. He will just have to disguise himself. Jack thinks and then asks about her being a princess and her obligations. Greta says to not worry. She is getting sick of it and only still does it to help people. Besides, they can’t boss her around so she has all the time she needs to do what she wants. Jack thinks again as Greta begs him. He agrees as Greta makes the call to warm up her private plane. Jack then thinks to himself that maybe he can find a cure and that its worth a shot. If there is one, he hopes he finds it before its too late for him and for him to be with Jen. If not, then he will just have to be in isolation for good and let Jen be happy with Frankie. Greta says its all set and then goes to pack as Jack does the same. They decide to leave in the morning.

    -At the accident scene, we see cars all over with helicopters overhead and sirens heard all over. Ambulances are arriving at the scene as John is running frantically around helping victims. John helps an elderly women out of her car. He is thinking about Marlena and believes that during the chaos Alex drove off with her since he doesn’t see the car he stole. He just couldn’t drive away to give chase and leave all these people so he had to stay and help. Marlena wouldn’t want him to leave all these people behind for her and he is has experience from his past in dealing with situations like this. Just then, John sees something shocking out of the corner of his eye. It’s the car Marlena was in with Alex. John races over there(finally recalling seeing Alex’s car hit the pole) and sees that the pole has fallen on the car. Both Alex and Marlena are unconscious. John moves the pole over to get to Marlena’s door. She has a gash on her head and isn’t breathing. He also can’t get her leg out without her help We then go inside Marlena’s mind as she is walking in the dark wondering where she is. Then we see memory flashes of her early days in Salem, her relationship and marriage to Don Craig, DJ’s death, her sister’s Samantha’s murder, her relationship and marriage to Roman (we don’t see Wayne in these just reactions from Deidre in them since Wayne is Alex), and the birth of Sami and Eric. We also see Marlena with Hope at her wedding to Bo, hugging Alice and Caroline, and spending time with Carrie. Memory flashes end. Marlena is hearing John’s voice asking her to wake up and to breath saying they all need her and love her. Marlena then wakes up. As she wakes up, she says, “It’s all coming back to me.” John thinks her memory has returned. Just then, John smells gas and sees that there is a gas leak. He shakes Marlena urging her to help him. Marlena, still out of it a little, asks what is going on. John tells her and she begs John to save her. He says he needs her help and needs her to pull herself up as he lifts the pole up. She agrees and does what he says. He then grabs her and pulls her out but falls backwards with her in the process. They recover and Marlena thanks him for saving her. He says he loves her and that he will always save her. As they get up, we see that John cut his leg badly when he pulled Marlena out. She doesn’t notice as he covers it up. As he carries her up the hill due to her head injury, Alex’s car explodes causing everyone to scream. John and Marlena assume Alex is dead and that the nightmare is over. Marlena is take to an ambulance where she tells John what happened and that all her memories returned but nothing about John. John says its ok and that in time they will. With Alex gone, they have all the time in the world. The EMT says that Marlena has a concussion but its not serious. Both are happy and Marlena insists that John and her help out with the victims. John disagrees saying Marlena has been through enough. Marlena insists saying she needs to forget everything that has happened with Alex and tonight. She also doesn’t want to leave him and thinks the more she is with him, the more likely her memories of him will return. John gives up and lets her stay as they go to work on the victims. They are stunned when they check out a car that drove into a building and can’t believe who they find.

    -As Bo, Hope, Bonnie, Roman, and Lexie arrive at the scene they meet with John and Marlena and discuss everything that happened. John and Marlena say that they have not seen Mickey or Shawn Sr but they have seen someone else they know. Lexie, recalling Tek, asks who. John says Tek as Lexie then asks where he is so she can care for him. John says she can’t-he is dead. Lexie refuses to believe it and asks where he is. John points to a body bag near an ambulance and tells Lexie that his car was sent flying into a building on impact from the car that started everything. Lexie races over to him and opens the bag crying. She yells out a bloodcurdling “NO!!!” and laments the way she treated him. Abe, Celeste, Maggie, and Caroline arrive and check in with the others. Abe hears Lexie scream and goes to her with Celeste. Lexie then recalls all the times she had with Tek and everything that happened. She then tells Tek that she did love him and care for him and that her life won’t be the same. As she turns around, she notices Abe and Celeste behind her with Abe having a shocked and betrayed look on his face.

    -Chelsea’s car is in a ravine. Patrick and her are unconscious. Chelsea stirs just as the car bursts into flames. She begs Patrick to wake up. A mystery man, who was in the wooded area watching, races over to Patrick’s door. Chelsea asks who he is. The figure doesn’t respond. He gets the door open and drags Patrick out. Chelsea begs him to help her but the man doesn’t respond and drags Patrick into the woods. Chelsea screams for help as she is trapped in her car and can’t seem to move her legs. She says she is sorry and that she will repent, The flames spread and grow closer to her.

    -Sami, Carrie, and Austin are looking for Will. They have checked everywhere and can’t seem to find him. Lucas meets up with them and is there just in time to catch Austin comforting Sami with a hug, something that Carrie witnesses as well. Meanwhile, Will (now played by Jeremy Sumpter) is with some friends in the woods. The kids are drinking beer and are high. They are trying to push Will to do it but he refuses. The kids rag on him so he gets mad and runs off. As he is walking through the woods, he sees a car in flames. He runs over and asks if anyone is in there. He then looks down in front of him to his right and sees a badly burned body. He runs over and is disgusted at what he sees. The person is screaming in pain as Will asks the person who they are. The person, recognizing Will’s voice, screams painfully “Will, its me...its Chelsea!!!” Will looks stunned as Chelsea continues to scream in pain.

    -John, Marlena, Bo, Hope, Roman, Bonnie, Maggie, and Caroline are all together. They are checking with EMT’s and other personal to see if Mickey and Shawn Sr, were involved. Maggie goes off in another direction and sees a car on the side of the road. She hears that the car was hit by the car driven by the person who kidnaped Marlena Evans and that the same pole that hit that car landed on this car. The others catch up with her as Marlena says to John that its her fault that the people in that car are hurt or worse because Alex wanted her and she bought into everything he said. Had she not they may not have been involved with what happened and no one else, including those in that car, may not have gotten affected. John reassures her that the real fault lies with the car that started this mess and that Alex is only responsible for his part. Everyone looks on as Caroline says how much the car looks like Shawn’s. The door is then sawed open ad taken off by the fire department and when the door is taken away Maggie gets closer and sees Shawn Sr’s and Mickey’s bloody faces inside. She lets out a horrifying scream as everyone else comes over and screams “No!!!” Maggie and Caroline both scream alone as Bo and Hope and John and Marlena hold each other. Bonnie then grabs hold of Roman to comfort him as we then see Maggie and Caroline being held back my EMT workers and officers as the screen mixes those images of Maggie and Caroline with Mickey and Shawn Sr. In the car bleeding and then the screen freezes on that and fades to black.

    Tomorrow-Abe lashes out at Lexie, as does Celeste. A family gets bad news. John collapses. Will works to save Chelsea. A huge secret concerning Victor and Caroline is revealed.

    -At the Pub, family and friends have gather to say their goodbyes to Kim and Shane. Hope is at the bar and hates that they had to leave Chelsea with her leaving so soon. Bo reminds her visiting hours were over and that they would not be permitted to see her until it is time for her to leave. Hope makes note of the fact that she could be leaving tonight. Bo says he knows and they will be there, if it happens. Bo comforts her and says he never thought he would see the day where Hope treated Chelsea like her own daughter. Hope's face turns to one of panic.

    Belle and Marlena embrace Kim and Shane and wish them luck. They both thank them as Max, Stephanie, Frankie, and Greta come over and so the same. Kim wishes Roman would come. They don't have much time and she doesn't want to leave without saying goodbye to him. Marlena hears this and calls Roman, telling him that he is needed at the Pub. His sister is leaving Salem and his place is with his family and friends.

    Marlena hangs up and then gets another calls. She answers and hears Barbara, who tells Marlena she has been trying to reach her. She needs to make an appointment with her and must not toss her treatment aside. Marlena tells Barbara she will but now is not a good time. She will talk to her soon. Marlena hangs up, saying her problems are the least of her concerns.

    Meanwhile, Stephanie and Max talk about what he told her at the station. She can't believe Fred is Forrest. She always thought he was dead. Max has no idea what is going on but he knows Forrest is bad news, as does Chelsea. Neither one of them has been unable to get through to Abby. Stephanie says that she can call and talk to Abby. Max doubts it will help but thinks trying wouldn't hurt. Stephanie takes out her cell and calls Abby, who is sitting with Alice when she answers her phone. Stephanie and her both ask how the other is doing before Stephanie asks if Fred is there with her. Abby says he isn't and asks why. Stephanie says that she knows that Fred is Forrest Alamain and she thinks it would be best if Abby stayed away from him for now.

    Abby gets upset and says she can't believe she is siding against her too. Stephanie says she just has a bad feeling and insists they all care about her and are worried. Abby says they will all see that they are wrong. Forrest has been a blessing to her and they will soon see he is not what they all think he is. Stephanie prays Abby is right but begs Abby to be careful at least. Abby says she will before saying goodbye and hanging up. Alice asks if there is a problem. Abby shakes her head and says it's something that will work itself out.

    Stephanie tells Max she tried and failed. Max doesn't know what else to do. Stephanie thinks they need to tell her dad or maybe even Bo, Roman, or Abe. Max thinks that is a bad idea. Forrest was adamant about keeping his identity a secret and blowing his cover to many people may cause him to do something rash. Stephanie still thinks they should get some help, like maybe telling his brother or something. Max says Frankie would be of no use just as Frankie and Greta walk by and overhear. Frankie asks what Max is talking about. Max says it's nothing but then Stephanie jumps in and interrupts him, saying that max and Chelsea are worried about Abby because of Fred. Frankie and Greta are confused. Stephanie adds that they are worried because Fred is really Forrest Alamain. Frankie and Greta are stunned.

    -At Sami's apartment, Lucas is now all dressed up and in his suit. He comes out of his bedroom to Will and asks how he looks. Will says he looks great. Lucas then worries he won't be able to do this. Will tells him to just have confidence and reminds him that mom is watching over both of them. Lucas smiles and says that and the fact that he is also doing this for his son is what will keep him going. Will and Lucas embrace as Will tells Lucas he is so proud of him. Lucas tells Will he is proud of him too. Lucas looks at his watch and says he has to go. Will and Lucas say their goodbyes as Lucas leaves.

    Later, Lucas arrives at Roberts INC and is greeted by Joelle, who says she will now be his personal secretary with Kate gone. Lucas nods and says he hopes they can have a cooperative relationship. Joelle smiles and says she hopes so too as Lucas takes a deep breathe and hopes that he can move on and do this. He then heads to his office. Joelle follows. Lucas tells her he is ready to just dive right in and tells Joelle to hit him hard. Joelle then explains how backed up they are with everything Kate and the family went through so it's up to Lucas to get them caught up. Lucas understands and begins to throw himself right into it, telling Joelle he thinks he has it under control. Joelle then puts her bare leg on the desk and smiles, saying she knew he looked like a man that likes to take charge. Lucas smiles as Joelle seductively observes Lucas.

    -At the Cheatin Heart, Nicole is downing shot after shot while looking at a picture of Eric. Her eyes well up with tears as she remembers him and also Evan. She lost everything and she couldn't even go to Eric's funeral or the reception at the Pub. She reminds herself it's always been this way. She was never good enough for a Brady or a Horton and she is sick of it. The bartender asks if she wants another. Nicole shakes her head and says it's time she sobers up. She will not sulk anymore. It's time for her to sober up and get her revenge on those that belittled her and treated her so harshly. Nicole vows to make all her enemies wish they never laid eyes on her.

    -Back at the Pub, Steve embraces Kim and Shane and wishes them well. Bo, Hope, and Kayla do the same. Kim apologizes to Bo again for hiding the truth from him. Bo says they agreed to put it in the past. It's time to move on. Kayla agrees and adds that the family needs each other. Just then, Roman arrives and says he agrees. Marlena is pleased to see him, as is everyone else. Roman embraces Shane and Kim. Kim thanks Roman for everything and for standing by her through it all. Roman smiles and thanks her for doing the same. He then tells Shane to take care of his sister. Shane says he will, like always.

    Shane then apologizes to everyone again for his role in what happened to Carrie. Carrie then appears from upstairs with Evan and says it's all forgiven. She explains that he only tried to help her and had good intentions. Roman tells Shane it's time to just let it go. Shane thanks him and the Brady's, saying he would never want any harm to come to them. Caroline is so happy to see the family united again and thinks putting past issues in the past is best. She then embraces Kim and Shane, tearfully wishes them well, and adds that they will be missed. Carrie also says goodbye to them and gives them both an embrace. She adds that she will be on the receiving end of this too when she leaves.

    Everyone is stunned by Carrie's words. Carrie smiles and says she was going to keep it rather quiet but, since she blurted it out, she announces she is leaving Salem ASAP. She just needs to get away and she won't be saying where she is going. She just needs time to heal and think and she leaves tomorrow. Marlena thinks that is a good idea. Roman and the rest of the family say they will miss her and hate that she is doing it so fast. Carrie says she has to...for herself and Evan. Kim and Shane both wish her luck. Carrie thanks them. The door of the pub then slams as Anna yells out in disbelief that Carrie can't be leaving.

    Carrie tells Anna to get out and reminds her she has no say. She also lashes out at her for following her again. Anna says she just had to find her so they could talk. Anna begs Carrie to reconsider as she can help her through everything. Carrie tells her to just leave her alone and to stop acting like a mother. She has never been one nor will she ever be. Anna is heartbroken as Carrie wishes Shane and Kim well before saying she has to go. Caroline tells her they will have a party for her tomorrow. Carrie smiles and thanks her and tells everyone she will see them later before leaving.

    Anna then turns and faces everyone, asking what they are looking at. She then begins to fall apart and leaves the Pub in tears. Roman wonders if someone should go after her. Marlena thinks it's best if they leave it be. Kim tells Shane they really should be going. Shane agrees. They them embrace family and friends once last time and say their goodbyes before exiting the Pub while family and friends watch them walk off.

    In the parking lot, Shane gets Kim in the car. He then turns and sees Miranda there. She says she knows he is leaving and wishes him well. She is glad she found him before he took off. Shane says thanks and asks her to keep in touch and to watch her back. Miranda says she will and that she can handle herself. He should know. Shane laughs and says they have to get going. Miranda embraces him and tells him good luck. Shane thanks her. He then says goodbye to her and gets in the car.

    Back in the Pub, Frankie and Greta are stunned about Forrest. Max is upset with Stephanie but she argues that they needed help and she thinks Frankie and Greta will help since they are under the radar, unlike their family members in law enforcement. Frankie thinks they need to tell Abe, Bo, and Roman.. Max begs Frankie not to, saying Abby could be in danger as Forrest wanted the secret of his identity kept. Frankie says he promised he would always look after Abby. Max knows and says he is worried too but telling anymore people would only make things worse. He begs both Frankie and Greta to remain quiet...for now. Frankie agrees but tells Max and Stephanie they need to discuss Forrest later...in private.

    Meanwhile, Steve is at the bar when he gets a phone call and then tells the person he will be right out. He goes over to Kayla, who is with Caroline, and tells her that he needs to get something from the car, kisses her, and leaves. He walks outside and finds Tony, who asks why Steve called him and why they can't talk insider. Steve says they need to keep this private and just between them. He asks if Tony did as they discussed. Tony nods, saying he talked to the guards and he is clear to go visit the Maison Blanche area and the rebuilt mansion without problem. Tony says he will make sure Stefano doesn't interfere.

    Steve thanks him. Tony says it's no problem. He knows that the past is very important and can define a person. He will do anything to help him discover the truth behind his missing years, especially if it helps with bringing Stefano down. Steve and Tony both smile as Steve thanks him yet again and reminds him he mentioned something about a key. Tony remembers what he is talking about and hands Steve an iron key, saying that will help get him into the various secret passages and rooms in the house, just the way the old Maison Blanche was set up. He managed to snag it from Stefano's secret cabinet in the library at the mansion and it gives his access, which is important since Stefano likes to hide his various secrets in those areas.

    Steve thanks him. Tony tells him to keep in touch and to call if he needs anything more. He also wishes him luck. Steve says he will and reminds him to keep this all quiet. Tony promises he will as Steve thanks him yet again, unaware that Hope, who has just taken out the trash for Caroline, is behind the dumpster and is listening in on their talk.

    -Back in the parking lot, Shane asks Kim if she is ready. Kim says as ready as she will ever be. Shane assures her they will be fine. Kim says she knows but she will miss Salem. They have alot of bad memories but they have just as many good ones there. As she says that, a Kim and Shane montage begins to play:

    PLAY THIS KIM AND SHANE MONTAGE!!

    The scene then returns to Kim and Shane as he tells her they will return to Salem again...some day soon. Kim smiles and says:

    Kim: Just like we always end up doing, I guess. Ok. Let's get this show on the road!

    Shane then backs out the car and then drive off to the airport as the scene fades to black.

    OCTOBER 9, 2007: EPISODE # 346: UNSHAKABLE DEVOTION


    UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL

    Elizabeth sits Jack and Alex down and thinks they should start getting to know each other. Jack and Alex both seem tentative. Elizabeth encourages Alex to tell Jack about himself. Alex tells Jack about his love of writing and says he has gotten several articles published. Jack is proud, saying that when he started on the Spectator, he and his late wife, Jennifer, scooped many a story. Elizabeth asks if there is any place at the paper for Alex and Jack says he’ll ask Greta once she’s better. From around the corner, Billie sees all of this and takes out her cell phone. She calls Jack, asking if he can break away to come talk to her.

    Jack says he’s too busy right now. He then asks if it is important. Billie pauses and then says no, it’s nothing. She says she just wanted to ask a question and he has already given her the answer. She hangs up the phone on Jack, who is surprised by her tone. Billie then turns and stomps over to the elevators, steps on the one that is open, and seethes in anger as the door shuts.


    PALATIAL HOME IN MALIBU, CALIFORNIA

    Abby has just been wheeled out of her therapy sessions with Dr. Dobbs. After the doctor leaves her, she quickly flashes back to the photo of a woman that fell out of Forrest's wallet on the plane and then comes out of it when Forrest enters the room. He just returned form jogging on the beach and Abby asks if he had a good time. He replies that it was as good as exercising can be. Abby wants to know something, though. Forrest says she has the floor as he pours himself some orange juice and sits down next to her.

    Abby wants to know if he has ever been in love.

    Forrest looks at Abby and then downs at his drink as Dr. Dobbs walks back into the room. Forrest remarks that he’s just been saved by the bell and chuckles. The good doctor tells Abby that they need to do some more exercises. She frowns, saying that she thought she was done for the day. The doctor tells her that if she continues today, she can have tomorrow off. Abby says she can’t pass up that deal and starts wheeling herself back into the training room. |

    She stops to tell Forrest goodbye but sees him in the corner of the room, near the deck. He is holding the picture of the same woman that Abby remembers and is staring at it sadly. Abby thinks to herself that she now has her answer to her earlier question as the doctor wheels her away.


    ORPHEUS'S HIGH-RISE APARTMENT

    Kate is just about to open the door........

    When a guard yells at her to get away from it. Orpheus comes out from the other end of the hallway as the guard takes hold of Kate. Orpheus orders the guard to let her go, which he does, but instructs Kate that she shouldn’t be poking around people’s homes. Kate says he sure didn’t mind that when she used to walk around his place naked. The guard tries not to smile as Orpheus looks at him. The guard straightens up quickly as he turns his attention back to Kate.

    Orpheus stares at her with rage, pointing a finger in her face and telling her that he will let her go, this time.........and, with a warning. Kate listens intently as Orpheus tells her that she will be released, unharmed, so long as she doesn’t tell one living soul about seeing him or his high rise apartment. Kate shakes her head quickly as she says no one will hear a peep out of her. Orpheus says that he remembers what a lying bitch she is so he will know if she went back on her word.

    He then orders his guard to blindfold her and take her back to Salem Park. There are no police there and, for some reason, there never is. It should be easy. The guard obeys and fights to blindfold Kate. Sami hears all of this and Orpheus suddenly remembers whose room they are standing in front of. Right before Sami can start pounding on the door, Orpheus steps in her bedroom, telling her.......

    Orpheus: Now, now, my dear. Close.........but no cigar. Your friend won’t say a word.......not if she enjoys living. Goodnight, my dear. Pleasant dreams.

    Orpheus leaves Sami’s room as she goes and sits on her bed, burying her face in her hands.

    One of his men then comes back down the hall, telling him that even though Kate started kicking and screaming, she has been subdued, and is being taken back to Salem Park as they speak. Orpheus tells him that it is good work on all parts but if anyone ever has that much freedom in his home again....

    The person who allowed it will suffer. The guard understands and leaves Orpheus, as he walks back down the hallway.


    BRADY PUB

    Bo and Kayla sit at the bar, worrying about Steve and Hope. Bo had his men looking for both of them and they found nothing. They then hear Steve say that maybe they should have just turned around and looked towards the front door. Both he and Hope, along with Tony, walk through the door as Kayla runs up to Steve and Hope walks over to Bo and kisses him gently. Steve and Kayla hug and then Kayla asks what Tony is doing with them.

    Hope says that Steve had some memory jogs from his past and Tony offered to help. Kayla looks at Steve, asking why he didn’t tell her about this. Steve said he didn’t want to make a big deal about it. Tony concurs, saying that he used his influence to help Steve out. Hope then says how sorry she is to Bo for just taking off like that. They couldn't risk the trail getting cold. Bo doesn’t mind at all, telling Hope that anything that helps Steve is worth it.

    They all sit down at one of the tables as Steve tells them they couldn’t risk Stefano finding out about their trip. The man has people everywhere. Tony then says that with their vast properties all over the states, they had started in New Orleans and just worked their way back home from there. Bo and Kayla look at each other with Bo saying that even though he’s glad they’re back and that they tried to help Steve, he doesn’t like the fact they went on some dangerous trip like that without telling anyone. Kayla agrees, saying that it shouldn’t happen again.

    Hope says it won’t and then Bo asks if they found anything important. Hope says no, not yet. But, where Stefano is involved, secrets are not far behind. Everyone agrees and also agree to meet later to talk more about their trip. Hope says she needs to get home to see JT and she gets up to leave. Steve follows her out, saying he needs to ask her a question.

    Once outside, Steve tells Hope they need to find the time to talk. Hope says they will, just not now. Steve asks her if she is scared about reliving their past together and, as Hope looks at Steve, the scene shifts back into the Pub where Bo wants to know if Steve and Hope are telling the truth. Tony is shocked, saying that he should be ashamed, not believing his lady love. Hope wouldn’t lie to him and Steve wouldn’t keep anything from Kayla. Kayla and Bo look at each other and then outside........

    As Steve and Hope stare at each other.


    UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL

    Will is worried about Lucas after all that has happened with Joelle. Lucas tells Will he is fine and that they will fight this and win. Maggie returns with Frankie. Lucas thanks Frankie for coming and asks how Greta is. Frankie says there is no change. Lucas fills him in on the Joelle situation. Frankie thinks it sounds like Joelle tried seducing him and, eventually, resorted to drugs and alcohol but it backfired. He adds that when that didn't work she moved on to suing him for sexual harassment. Maggie thinks it's pretty clear she wants money and maybe even ownership in ROBERTS INC. Lucas refuses any of that and asks Frankie if he will represent him. Lucas tell him he knows he has alot going on but really could use his help. Frankie agrees to represent Lucas, saying he knows Jennifer would want him to help her brother and he sees that Lucas is being bamboozled with this case. Lucas thanks him.

    Just then, Kate shows up outside the room. She composes herself, trying to deal with what happened earlier, and then enters the room. She comes in saying Maggie left a message on her cell telling her that Lucas was in the hospital. Lucas doesn't want Kate there but she insists as she is his mother. Maggie tells Lucas she felt Kate had to be called and fills Kate in on what happened and on Joelle's accusations .Kate is horrified and tells Lucas he could've died. She then offers to help Lucas with his legal troubles but he doesn't want her help, saying she will only make it worse. Will tells Kate to just go. She is only upsetting his dad and making things worse. Kate begins to realize she isn't helping and tells both Lucas and Will she loves them and leaves.

    Maggie follows her into the hall and apologizes, saying she was only doing what she thought was best. Kate nods and thanks her, before walking away in tears. Maggie goes back and tells Lucas she thinks he was too hard on Kate. Lucas tells Maggie she earned that treatment. Maggie realizes Lucas and her differ on the issue and turns around to see a crying Kate watching them from a distance. Kate locks eyes with Maggie and then turns and boards an elevator just as the doors shut.

    SALEM PLACE

    Nicole walks near Ballistix and sees Alyson and Jean with Samuel. Nicole thinks to herself how sick these women make her. She walks over to both women and says that Eric truly would have preferred her instead of some slut he screwed for one night. Before either woman can get up and take matters into their own hands, Caroline walks in and says hi. Nicole starts to walk away but stops long enough to tell them that she’ll do what she has to to make Eric proud.

    As she leaves, Alyson says that even though Nicole truly needs her ass kicked, she is worried about what she will do. She then says if Nicole does one thing to hurt her baby........to which Caroline say she shouldn’t worry. The family will protect everyone. Caroline then says that they apparently don’t remember that her two sons used to be some pretty good cops in Salem.

    Well, Jean says that maybe they should be proactive in this whole thing, and Alyson agrees. Maybe it’s time that she take Sam.......

    And leave Salem for good. Jean and Caroline are shocked as the scene freeze frames on her face and then slowly fades to black.

    JANUARY 16, 2008-EPISODE #416: WHAT HURTS THE MOST


    UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL

    Up on the roof, the tension is palpable between Bo and Hope. Bo's back is turned toward Hope as she begs Bo to please look at her, as tears well in her eyes. Hope tells Bo she just wants to talk. Bo tells Hope there is nothing left to say. She already said it all on New Year's and gave her explanation. Hope asks if he believed it, pointing out it doesn't seem like he did.

    Bo: Can you blame me? All those lies, Hope. How do I know what was true and what wasn't?
    Hope: Bo, how long have you known me? How long have your known Steve? You can't seriously think we could fall for each other and have an affair out of the blue like that without extenuating circumstances.
    Bo: Ah, yes. You and Steve getting lost in the past. Give me a break!!
    Hope: Bo! Please!!
    Bo: Please what? Look, Hope. I don't have time to deal with you and your pathetic attempt to try to sway me right now. I have enough to deal with.
    Hope: I know but we need to talk and...
    Bo: Now?! My family is in shambles. Roman is in jail! Frankie is dead! Kayla just lost her child! And all your worried about is you and me!
    Hope: I'm sorry! I just want to be there for you. I want to fix this!
    Bo: It's too late for that. You and Steve may not have killed Frankie or Kayla's child but you put Nicole in the situation she was in. Your lies and your deceit gave her the ammunition. She was only at that reception...up on that roof...because you and Steve did what you did. Not to mention all the stress that Kayla had to deal with finding out what you two did and how you both kept the truth about Chelsea from Billie and I. Damnit, Hope! Do you see how many lives are a mess right now?
    Hope (crying): I know! I know!
    Bo: Do you? Did you ever consider that this whole mess would !@#$%^&*] with so many people's lives? This isn't just about you and me. It's not even about Steve and Kayla. Billie, Greta, my family...so many lives, Hope. You can't fix this. It's just too much.
    Hope: We can try.
    Bo: There is no "we." I love this! It's hilarious!
    Hope: What?
    Bo: You? A tad hypocritical, don't you think? A year ago, you gave me hell when I chose to keep the truth about my undercover operation with Roman from you, as well as my molestation. Remember that? What was my reasoning? Ah, yes. Because I was trying to protect you. You were going through alot. We all were. The same damn reasoning you are giving me after what you have done now. I detect a double standard, don't you?

    Bo's words silence Hope as she wipes tears from her eyes and has no idea what to say. The scene then shifts to...

    A waiting area where Abe, Lexie, and Celeste are talking. Abe tells Celeste he knew that Celeste knew what was already going to happen as Lexie and the doctors were trying to save Kayla and her baby. He thinks she did the right thing holding back and not saying anything, just like she did when Frankie was dying. Celeste nods, saying as long as she knew there was no stopping it, there was no sense in making an announcement. It would only make things worse. Lexie agrees.

    Abe looks at his watch and says it's very late. Celeste agrees, pointing out Theo is still with the sitter and they should be getting back. Lexie says she has to check on some patients but tells Abe to tell Theo she will pick him up in the morning. Abe nods. Lexie thinks Abe for everything, including the advice earlier. He smiles and nods. Celeste tells Lexie how happy she is that things are ok between all three of them now. Lexie agrees. Celeste embraces her, saying she will kiss Theo goodnight for her. Lexie thanks her and the three then walk off and go their separate ways as the scene shifts to...

    Outside of Greta's room, where Jack is walking up and sees Billie near the elevators. He yells out to her. Billie seems a bit shaky and upset and Jack asks where she is going and then if she is ok, noticing she seems a bit frantic. Billie says she is fine. She reminds Jack of how he found her this morning and says she is exhausted and wants to try to get some sleep. Jack nods and asks if she is sure she is fine. Billie tells him she will be. Jack points out that he knows she is going through alot and he just wants to make sure she is ok. Billie thanks him for his concern but says she is fine and will check in tomorrow. She bids him good night and tells him to give her best wishes to Greta and everyone else. Billie enters the elevator and it closes shortly after.

    Jack then enters Greta's room, where Victor and Maggie are sitting. He asks them if something happened to upset Billie. Victor shakes his head, saying she seemed a bit upset but who wouldn't given what happened. He adds that she said she had to go. Jack agrees and says she is probably just tired or something. He then suggests Victor and Maggie go home and get some sleep or something to eat. Victor doesn't want to leave Greta but Jack suggests they at least go home and change. Maggie thinks it's a good idea, saying they could use some cleaning up and something to eat. Jack promises Victor he will stay with Greta and will call if something happens. Victor reluctantly agrees and thanks Jack. Maggie does so as well. Jack says it's no problem and Victor and Maggie leave while Jack sits down, takes Greta's hand, and tells his friend that he is here for her and that he will help her through this. He then hears Greta in her sleep, seemingly dreaming about being with Frankie, and saying that Nicole will pay for what she did to Frankie. Jack looks on with worry as the scene then shifts to...

    Kayla's room, where Steve is wiping away tears, saying to Kayla he is so sorry. Kayla then begins to stir, shocking Steve. Kayla is a bit disoriented and asks what happened. Steve doesn't answer. Kayla looks at him and is stunned to see him. She then mentions how weak she feels. Steve tells Kayla she is going to be fine and that the doctors said she just needs to rest. She will make a full recovery. Kayla asks how the baby is doing. Steve is silent again. Kayla looks at him and can see the pain in his eyes. Kayla begins to realize something is horribly wrong and asks Steve again, as her eyes fill with tears, how the baby is doing. Steve sighs and then tries to say something but just can't seem to get any words out. All Steve can do is shake his head in sadness and finally say:

    Steve: I'm sorry, Sweetness. So sorry.

    Kayla then lets out a bloodcurdling "NO!!" and breaks down in tears. Steve tries to comfort a hysterical Kayla, who is in disbelief over losing their baby. All Kayla can say over and over is:

    Kayla: Not our baby! Not our baby!

    Steve does his best to console her but is unable to offer much comfort. Kayla asks how this happened and then recalls learning about Frankie. Kayla realizes it was all the stress of learning about him that pushed her over the edge. Steve says he is so sorry for all that she has lost, saying she nor her family deserve this. Kayla is in disbelief over her baby and Frankie being gone.

    Kayla: How could God take them both? Why?!
    Steve: I wish I knew, Sweetness.

    Stephanie then walks in with Adrienne and demands to know what the hell Steve is doing in Kayla's room. Steve says he needed to see her and was just comforting her. Stephanie says she can do that and orders him to leave, saying he is doing no one no good. Adrienne tells Stephanie to back off but Kayla interrupts and says:

    Kayla: ENOUGH!! A child is dead! Frankie is dead!!
    Stephanie: Sorry, mom.
    Steve: Yeah. Sorry.
    Kayla: She is right though. Why are you here, Steve?
    Steve: I just wanted to be there for you. I wanted to...
    Kayla: Get out.
    Steve: What?
    Kayla: GET OUT!! I DON'T WANT YOU HERE!! YOUR PART OF THE REASON THIS HAPPENED!! YOU!! HOPE!! YOUR LIES!!
    Steve: Sweetness...please...understand the situation. You were letting me hold you before.
    Kayla: I'm a mess right now, Steve, I can barely think! You already explained the situation...with Hope. As for what happened on the roof, Nicole may have been the instigator but you and Hope gave her the opportunity. God!! I can't even look at you without thinking about Frankie. About our baby!!
    Steve: Kayla...I...
    Kayla: No! Just leave! Please...not now. I can't do this now. I'm tired. I just...it's too soon. There is too much...hurt. Just go.
    Steve: Kayla...
    Kayla: GO!! GET OUT!! GET OUT!!

    Kayla breaks down as Adrienne tells Steve they better go as Stephanie pushes him away and orders him out, trying to console her mother. A heartbroken Steve finally backs off and walks out with Kayla but not without looking back and seeing Stephanie comfort a distraught Kayla as the scene shifts back to...

    The roof as Hope tells Bo she doesn't know what to say.

    Bo: There is usually a penalty for repeat offenders. You know that. And this is not the first time this has happened. Remember you and John...I mean, my brother, Roman? You had sex with him and Stefano on that submarine. For awhile, you thought one of them fathered Zack and kept the truth from me for months. That was hard enough but I was able to get past that. Sure, the brain chip nonsense helped but the lies still hurt. I was able to forgive you, though, because you had never done anything like that before. Now, it's different. No brain chips this time and even if I buy the extenuating circumstances BS, there is still the matter of the lies and THEY hurt the most, Hope.
    Hope: I know. We had trust issues before. As long as we love each other, we can get through this.
    Bo: Not this time. This situation shows you learned nothing from the first time you did this. And the fact that you expect me to be lenient after the hell you gave me for doing the same DAMN thing a year ago...I can't do this right now. My family needs me. I have to go and take mom and Kim home. We have things to do and to think about.
    Hope: I know but don't give up on us. Please!
    Bo: What "us?" Right now, I don't see anything left.
    Hope: I know things are bad but after all we have been through...I just thought I was doing what was best..we both did.
    Bo: You ASSUMED you were.
    Hope: And so did you, Brady!! Last year...oh, and what about Zack, huh? That was a nasty lie too, was it not?
    Bo: I can't believe you just...
    Hope: I know...I'm sorry. It was uncalled for. I just want to make you understand...
    Bo: Mistakes were made on both sides, Hope. I know that. But don't try to excuse what you did by using the past. This is different. Many more lives were affected...I just don't see any excuse for this. No "out" for you and Steve. Nothing.
    Hope: So, what? That's it?
    Bo: I have to go so just have your stuff packed and be out of the house before I come back.
    Hope: You were serious before...
    Bo: Yes. Leave JT with the sitter and don't draw attention to yourself. We don't need the neighbors talking. We can talk in the morning about him. You can go to the new house Victor gave us.
    Hope: But, he's your father? Won't that be...
    Bo: Just go, alright. I don't have time to move my stuff right now so you go. I just...can't have you around so just do it, ok?

    Hope is in disbelief and asks Bo if he is really sure. Bo doesn't answer and coldly tells her to go home and pack. Hope, fighting back tears, says she loves him and always will. Bo is silent and turns away. Hope then slowly walks off as RASCAL FLATTS' WHAT HURTS THE MOST (CLICK HERE TO PLAY FOR THE END MONTAGE) begins to be heard and a montage begins....

    Hope looks back as tears stream down her face and she then finally leaves the roof as the scene focuses on an angry Bo looking out over the city as the scene fades to...Stephanie comforting Kayla. Both woman are in tears as Adrienne and Steve watch. Steve can't bare to see the pain his wife and daughter are in and begins to cry himself. Adrienne takes her brother in her arms and embraces him as Stephanie holds her mother in her arms and looks on at Steve and Adrienne from inside Kayla's room.

    The scene then fades to...Billie, walking the streets of Salem, telling herself repeatedly she doesn't need a drink. She sees a liquor store across the street and is drawn to it, hesitating a few times before making her way across. She looks in the window and then walks off. After a few moments, she stops and begins to turn back, hesitating a few times. She looks in the window once more as the scene fades to...Greta's room. Jack is sitting with her when Greta stirs. She takes one look at Jack and falls apart once again. Jack takes a crying Greta in his arms and comforts her, saying he's there for her and assuring her it will be ok as the scene fades back to...Bo on the roof, looking over the city skyline. He then begins to wipe tears from his eyes as the scene fades to... Hope in JT's room. She kisses his forehead and then slowly walks off. The scene then shifts to...moments later as Hope is outside her house in tears, looking at the house longingly, and then walking off as the scene fades to...

    Billie, who is now in her P.I. office and is popping the top off a liquor bottle. She hesitates a few times before pouring herself a glass. She then hesitates yet again before picking up the glass, her hands trembling. A few moments later, she finally gives in and drinks...and then plops down into her chair, breaking down in tears as the scene fades to...Greta's room as Jack holds Greta in his arms, comforting her and rocking her back and forth as the camera pans to an overhead shot of the scene and then fades to black as the RASCAL FLATTS' WHAT HURTS THE MOST montage ends.

    -Billie is out on the hospital terrace with Kate comforting her over the Claire situation. Kate insists she is better no and that she doesn’t know why she broke down like that. Billie says she did it because she finally realized that her interference does nothing but make things worse, something that everyone has been trying to tell you. Kate says that she just wants what is best for her children but Billie says that Kate needs to back off and let nature take its course. Billie then goes back inside as Kate says she will be there in a minute. Privately, Kate admits that Billie is right and is horrified about the things she has done (we see flashbacks of her paying Franco, framing Sami for Franco’s murder, her alliance with Moroni and attempts on Victor’s life, exposing Sami and her alliance with her own son Lucas, paying Nicole $5 million to marry Lucas, her scheming to bust up Sami’s Vegas wedding to Austin, her setting up Sami and Brandon and exposing Sami as Stan, her pushing Phillip to make a move on Belle and then attempting to cover up Claire’s paternity). She breaks down again and realizes that she has done more harm then good and that she is the worst mother ever. Victor appears and says that she isn’t. She just doesn’t know her limits when it comes to parenting and he says that he will help her get better at that despite how angry he is with her for making him keep Claire’s paternity from Phillip as long as he did. Kate apologizes for doing that to him since it puts him in hot water with his family, especially Bo and Caroline. Victor tells her not to worry about it. Kate says that she needs to change because she doesn’t want to keep hurting her children and also doesn’t want them paying for her sins. Victor hugs her and says that he will help her in any way. They both then go inside.

    -Mimi is walking around and feel faint again. Billie catches this and asks Mimi if she is ok. She lies and says she is but Billie knows better. Mimi admits to her how ill she has been feeling and that she has had recurring fainting spells. She thinks they are because of fearing losing Shawn and all the stress of what is going on. Billie says that while that is logical, it is more likely something else. She asks Mimi what her symptoms are besides the fainting spells. Mimi says she is sick to her stomach and dizzy and sometimes gets very hot. Billie smiles and tells her to see a doctor since she may be pregnant. Mimi reminds Billie of her condition but then remembers being told that she would be able to conceive but that it would be near impossible to carry the baby to term. Billie says that Mimi needs to see a doctor based on those reasons right away to find out what is going on and what to do. Mimi agrees and smiles at the thought of being pregnant with Shawn’s baby, which would help her hold onto Shawn.

    -Shawn is holding Belle outside the ICU. She is still upset about Phillip and Claire. She adds that no one can get a hold of him and that she is worried. Shawn tells her to stop and not to blame herself and to only worry about their daughter. Belle agrees to try to do so and then asks Shawn if he wants to come in with her to officially introduce himself as Claire’s father. Shawn smiles and agrees. They go in and he holds his daughter’s hand for the first time and tells her that he is her father and how much he loves her. Belle says that she has Shawn’s eyes and that she always noticed that. Shawn says that she is just as beautiful as her mother. Mimi walks by and smiles saying that soon Shawn may have another child to love.

    -Will tells Chelsea that he is gonna call 911 since her whole body is severely burned but Chelsea stops him. He asks her why she did that and she says that if she goes to the hospital she will be arrested after she recovers. Will asks why and Chelsea says to forget it but to not call anyone. She asks him to help her on his own-she can’t make contact with anyone else (we then see a flashback to the accident and Chelsea speeding with Patrick). Will asks if anyone else was in the car. Chelsea then flashes back to the mystery man pulling Patrick out of the car and dragging him away. She says that Patrick was but he got out with some guy’s help. Will is stunned that someone left her and just saved Patrick but Chelsea says that the guy came back. Her door was completely bashed in and she wasn’t able to get out through there so the man had to save Patrick first. He did come back wearing fire gear and, after a struggle, rescued her but not before the flames reached her and, as he was pulling her out, she got burned even more. She says that the man really was scared and didn’t know what he was doing but he got her out anyway although she is burned. He ran off when he heard Will coming. Will screams out for the man saying that he could use his help but Chelsea said that the man was so afraid that he most likely ran off. She continues to scream in pain and begs Will to help her. He asks where Patrick is as Chelsea says she doesn’t know. Will looks around but can’t find him. Chelsea screams again in pain as Will realizes he needs to take action fast. He tells her he will be right back as Chelsea begs him to help her again.

    -Sami, Carrie, Austin, and Lucas continue to search for Will. They are really worried and have decided not to separate anymore since they have searched almost everywhere and feel they need to look together now. Lucas tries to comfort Sami again but Austin gets in the way. Carrie then tries to comfort Lucas too but Austin interrupts that as well. Lucas continues to feel left out and his rage against Austin grows. While walking down a street, they bump into Phillip who has a bottle of Whiskey in his hand and is clearly drunk. They all ask him what is going on. An angry, disoriented Phillip tells them that Claire belongs to Shawn and that Belle lied to him and betrayed him and their marriage. He says everyone knew they were together behind his back while he was overseas and then brings up how Kate and Victor knew about Claire’s paternity and kept it from him. Lucas then informs Phillip that he knew Belle and Shawn were still in love and that something was going on while he was at war. Phillip lashes out again and Sami then says she knew too since its was obvious to everyone in Salem. Phillip explodes with rage and throws the Whiskey bottle against a brick building. He says that everyone thinks he is stupid and nothing but a pathetic, honorable, nice guy. He is done with that and says that he is not that man anymore. He says he hates everyone, including all of them, and that they will all pay. Sami rolls her eyes as Phillip looks at her and says she will pay too. Both Carrie and Austin try to calm him as Phillip says that even though both of them didn’t know about anything he still doesn’t trust them and hates them. He hates everyone and his ability to trust and love and care is gone after everything he went thorough with Chloe and Belle. He screams that he hates them all and then pushes Austin and Lucas aside and walks away, ignoring their pleas to come back and talk. They go back to looking for Will and decide that they will go to the hospital to check in on the Claire front and find out what happened once they find Will. They go off to continue the search..

    -Maggie and Caroline are hysterical and demand that the EMT’s get their husbands out of the car ASAP. Shawn SR is pulled out of the driver’s seat easily as Bo, Hope, John, Marlena, Bonnie, and Roman look on. Bo and Roman go to hold their mother as Hope holds Maggie. Shawn Sr, who has massive internal injuries, is put into an ambulance as Caroline goes in it with him. Mickey is then removed from the car after a struggle and has a serious head injury and internal bleeding. He is put in an ambulance too and Maggie rides with him. Bonnie comforts Roman and promises to be there for him since he has been nothing but nice to her. Roman thanks her and says its good to have someone with him right now. Marlena blames herself since it was Alex’s car that hit Shawn Sr’s car and made the pole fall. John reassures her that the person who did this was the person who was speeding and slid on ice and caused the chain reaction. He says it really wasn’t even Alex’s fault, although he contributed to it by speeding himself and crashing. He says that Marlena was injured herself and is just as much a victim as everyone else involved. Marlena hugs him as we wee John bend down a bit and touch his leg which has blood dripping down from his cut. Everyone takes off for the hospital.

    -Will runs up to the accident scene and realizes that his only way to help Chelsea is to steal an ambulance since it has medical supplies and everything else he needs. He finds an empty one and jumps in. Luckily , the keys are in it. He drives it off as the ambulance workers give chase. He speeds around a few corners and then hides it in a wooded area a few miles away from the scene. The authorities giving chase go off in another direction. Will then runs back to Chelsea on the other end of the woods. He wraps her in towels and then carries her to the ambulance where he decides to lie low until he is sure they won’t get caught. Chelsea thanks him as Will decides to go through the medical supplies while they wait to find something to help Chelsea as she is in sheering pain and is susceptible to infection due to her badly burned condition.

    -Lexie is stunned to see Abe and she asks him how much he heard. Abe says everything and admits he even saw how Lexie was holding Tek so lovingly. The look in her eyes and everything she said was like a knife through his heart. Lexie realizes Abe can see and says that she is so happy as he tells her to shut up. He now knows everything and says that she used his blindness to her advantage knowing full well that if he could see she could have never got away with an affair. He lashes out at her for all the times he asked her what was going in with Tek and all the times she lied (flashbacks are then shown of when Abe was on the island and talked to Tek about Lexie and their relationship, Abe’s return home and him noticing how close Tek and Lexie were, and all the times he questioned Lexie about Tek). He reminds Lexie of everything they have been through (his brother Jonah, her father, the baby switch mess and her fling with Brandon, and her thinking he was dead). He says he has given her plenty of chances but now its really over. Celeste then says that she told Lexie this would happen as Abe realizes Celeste knows too. She apologizes but Abe assures its ok since she was merely keeping her daughter’s confidence. She also says that Lexie knew of Tek’s shady past and still had her fling with him anyway. Abe admits he learned of it too but let it go because Tek was a good friend and Abe felt bad for the way he treated him at times. Now he realizes Tek backstabbed him along with Lexie. He tearfully tells Lexie that they finally had it all. They had a son and Brandon and everything would have been perfect now with his sight back. She had to go ahead and ruin it. Lexie begs him to reconsider and says that she was vulnerable due to him pushing her away. Abe accepts responsibility for pushing Lexie into Tek’s arms but says that he can’t forgive her not being honest. He says that even though Tek is dead he can’t forgive him either for betraying him. The dishonesty is what bothers him most. Lexie breaks down saying she can’t lose him too as Abe says you already did. This time for good and walks away saying not to call him, he will call her when he wants to her to come over and discuss Theo and what will happen to him now. Lexie begins to scream and grabs Abe’s leg telling him not to break up their family. He says its too late and looks her right in the eyes and says, “You are a Dimera through and through. You may as well as admit that to yourself. You are the same Lexie that did all those evil things a few years ago and you never did change. Like a true Dimera, you were a lion in sheep’s clothing.” She screams hysterically as he leavers her groveling on the ground as she begs for him to come back and for Tek to come back. She tearfully says that she didn’t mean to hurt anyone and that it was all a mistake. Celeste comes over to her and holds her and says that she brought it all on herself. She warned her and now she has lost everything. Celeste then has a vision of Lexie in the Dimera mansion with a glass of brandy. She is wearing a phoenix ring and is laughing in an evil way. Celeste looks at her daughter and says, “Dear God, Abraham was right. You are a true Dimera. The Dimera part of you is making its presence known and it is only going to get worse.” Lexie looks at her mother and wonders what she is saying and continues to cry hysterically, calling for both Abe and Tek and lamenting what she has done.

    -Shawn, Mimi, Belle, Billie, Victor, and Kate all see Bo, Hope, Maggie, Caroline, Bonnie, and Roman at the hospital. They are told what is going on as Shawn comforts his parents. Belle goes to comfort Shawn but Mimi jumps in and embraces him. Victor comforts Caroline as Roman gives him a dirty look. Bo calms him though. Bonnie holds Roman and continues to support him. She is also worried about Mickey too since he did truly care about her and treated her well. The ER doctor then comes out with news. He informs Maggie that Mickey I being rushed to emergency surgery due to extensive internal bleeding in his abdomen and his brain. Maggie cries in Hope’s arms. Caroline then asks the doctor about Shawn Sr. The doctor looks down and then expresses regret that they couldn’t save him. They did everything they could but there was too much bleeding internally and too much damage. Caroline breaks down in Victor’s arms. Bo go over and holds her, as does Roman and Shawn. Hope and Maggie hold each other too as they, along with everyone else, is upset. Kate acknowledges his Shawn Sr was always nice to her no matter what acts she committed. Belle and Mimi express love and praise for him. Bonnie tears up as well saying what a jolly man he was. Billie remembers how he always treated her well, even after Bo and her split up. Maggie goes over to Caroline and says that its so unfair. Caroline says that we just have to believe he is in heaven per God’s will and that he will look down on your husband and keep him with us. Maggie embraces her marveled by how kind Caroline is even after her husband’s death. Maggie blames herself for letting the men go out but Caroline tells her not to think that way. It was God’s will and nothing was stopping it. Bonnie goes over to Roman as Roman doesn’t say a word. Bonnie tires to comfort him but he backs off telling her not right now. Victor tells everyone how sorry he is and then embraces Caroline. Hope comforts Bo as Shawn is embraced by Belle, which is witnessed by Mimi. Caroline fights back more tears as Victor tells her how sorry he is. She thanks him. Belle and Mimi express their sympathies and ay how much they always admired Shawn Sr and her marriage, much like Alice and Tom Horton. They overcame a huge act of dishonesty early on and their relationship was stronger then ever, as was their family. Both girls say that they are sure that was because both Caroline and Shawn Sr became better committed to honesty and all the things that made a marriage successful. Belle says that one day she wants to be just like her (thinking of what she did to Phillip and her marriage). Mimi says the same and they both embrace Caroline and walk away. Hope then hugs her too and tearfully expresses her sympathy and admiration for her “father-in-law.” Caroline then turns around to Victor and becomes real upset and angry with herself. Victor urges her not to think about that right now, knowing full well Belle and Mimi’s words reminded her of their secret. Caroline says that she did lie to Shawn Sr again but this time he never learned the truth nor did she tell him and now she feels guilty. She betrayed him, their marriage, and their family and never told him. This is worse then her lie about Bo’s paternity. Victor tries to calm her but Caroline refuses and grabs Victor and says, “I should have told him I was unfaithful to him while we were at the castle. He died thinking I was a saint when I wasn’t even close-I promised him I would never lie about something big like I did before again and I did. I said I had moved past my feelings for you and I didn’t. We had an affair Victor and Shawn never knew.” He takes her in his arms as Roman looks at them resentfully and all the others comfort each other, not hearing what Caroline and Victor are discussing. Hope then asks Bo where John and Marlena went. Just then, we hear Marlena yelling. John is rushed into a cubicle as an upset Marlena is told to wait outside. She refuses to since she is a doctor and has clearance but Belle grabs her and asks what happened to her father. Marlena tells her about Alex kidnaping her and says that John must have got hurt saving her and never told anyone. Belle says he did the same thing in Paris during the coronation massacre in Paris as Marlena asks what she is talking about. Belle tells her never mind and asks if John will be ok, Marlena says there is a bad cut on his leg and he lost a lot of blood and that she doesn’t know anymore. They hold each other as everyone else looks on and comforts each other as Hope says in Bo’s arms, “How much more tragedy can we take?” The screen then fades to black on everyone in the hospital grieving.

    On the Next Days-

    Will seeks help in saving Chelsea as her condition worsens. Celeste comforts Abe. The Brady family rallies together and supports Maggie , along with the Hortons, as she waits for Mickey to come out of surgery. John takes a turn for the worse. Another Salem resident loses his or her life (and you won’t believe who)

    -Kate sits alone in her suite, looking at old pictures of Austin. She sips champagne as she cries over her lost child and the huge mistakes she made. She thinks to herself that Austin still turned out to be a splendid man, despite everything she did to control his life. And now.....he’s dead and she will never have the chance to tell him how sorry she is for everything that she did....

    And how proud she truly is of him. Kate sits on her bed and presses the picture of Austin against her face as she sobs uncontrollably........alone.

    -Meanwhile, downstairs in the bar at the Salem Inn, Nicole sits in a corner seat and goes through her third martini as she consoles herself. All she can do is mull over Eric and Austin’s last words to her. Nicole begins to think that she is the way she is and that nothing will change her. All she cares about is herself and, if anyone gets in her way.......family, friends, even the man she loved.......they do so at their own risk.

    Nicole then looks up at the door and sees Kate walk into the bar. Nicole stares coldly at Kate as Kate slowly turns around and spots Nicole sitting in a corner by herself. Kate slowly walks over and places a martini that she just ordered on the table. Kate then leans in and, with tears still streaming down her face, quietly tells Nicole that they are exactly where they should be and have no one to blame but themselves. Only this time.....

    Two of their dearest loved ones paid for their selfishness.....with their lives. Kate then slowly stands back up and walks off, leaving a sad Nicole to admit to her self....

    Nicole: We sure did, I guess. We sure did.

    A distraught Nicole takes the martini and sips on it quietly.

    -At the hospital, Roman sits in Marlena’s room, holding her hand. Caroline quietly walks in and tries to convince him that he has been there since they all came home. He needs his rest just like Marlena needs hers. Roman tells Caroline that he just wants to make sure that his lady is back before he tells her the news about Eric. Roman is scared that it may make her revert back into her Samantha personality. Caroline tells him that she has him and she has her own strength to get her through. It’s what got Caroline through when she thought that Roman was dead all those years ago.

    Roman sees what Caroline is saying and Caroline volunteers to sit with Marlena so Roman can go home and get some sleep. Roman tells her that he doesn’t know how he can close his eyes and not see his dead son but he guesses he’ll give it a try. Caroline gives Roman a hug only a mother can and Roman looks at Marlena once more before kissing her on the forehead and walking out of her room.

    Caroline sits down next to an unconscious Marlena and hopes that this may be the end of all of their tragedy.


    Outside Marlena's room, Sami’s look of shock and horror has made Orpheus panic and he starts to run for the elevators. Sami starts to sprint after him but Orpheus reaches the elevators and jumps into a elevator as the door starts to close. He then smiles evilly and blows a kiss at Sami at the door shuts right in front of her.

    Sami bangs on the door, causing a small scene, as Will comes running around the corner towards her. When he reaches her, her tries to calm her down and have her tell him what’s wrong. Sami calms herself long enough to tell Will that she just saw Orpheus get on one of these elevators. Will is shocked, saying that he truly has a death wish after everything he’s done. Sami tells Will to not waste one second and for him to go find Lucas and Roman and tell them that she just saw Orpheus and that she is taking off after him.

    Will asks her what does she think she can do to him. Sami tells him she hopes she can get close enough to snap his neck for what he has done. Then she demands that Will take off and, after he runs down the hall, a very determined Sami turns and jumps into an open elevator as the door closes in front of her.

    Will rounds the corner and sees both Roman and Lucas resting on some couches in the waiting area. They both jump up and want to know what has Will all fired up. Will tells them that Sami saw Orpheus and took off after him. Lucas looks at Roman as pure hatred comes across Roman’s face. Roman pulls his gun out and then radios in for back-up as Belle walks into the waiting area and asks what’s wrong. Roman tells Will to stay with Belle as he takes off after Orpheus, with Lucas in tow. Both men sprint down the hallway as Belle and Will look on. Belle rests her head on Will’s chest as he hopes that his family will finally stop Orpheus......

    Once and for all.

    -At the police station, Bo and Hope get word that Roman called in for backup. An officer tells them it had something to do with Orpheus. Abe tells them both to go, along with Shane, as Maggie and Chelsea are still being booked. He needs to deal with some stuff at the station and will be along when he can. Victor insists they take Nico to help. Victor tells Nico to check in with word. Bo says whatever and rushes Hope and Nico along with him. Alice, Julie, and Kim wish they luck. Kim begs Shane to be careful. He promises he will and races off after Bo. Hope, and Nico.

    -Will and Belle walk into another waiting area and find Carrie sitting there talking to Evan. They stand at the door as she tells Evan how sorry she is that he will never know his father. Austin was such a good man and she hopes that Evan will not hate her for being the cause of his death. Belle wipes the tears from her eyes as she and Will walk into the room and sit on either side of Carrie. Will begins to tell Carrie about Orpheus but Belle shakes her head no. She feels that Carrie is dealing with enough right now and doesn’t need the added burden. They just sit and comfort Carrie as she rocks Evan to sleep.

    -Sami pulls a gun from her purse as she heads down in the elevator but then she starts coughing. She clutches her throat and can’t seem to breath. She staggers over to the elevator controls and starts pushing the emergency button but the elevator continues it downward descent. Sami looks up as the floors roll by and she continues to try and activate the emergency release so she can get out of there.

    -When the elevator reaches the garage level, the door opens up to reveal an unconscious Sami lying on the floor as Orpheus walks into the elevator and stands over her. He looks grimly at her as he orders some of his men to take her away. Two men pick Sami up and walk over to a black van and place her inside. Orpheus looks around and then goes to take his seat inside the van. Just as he instructs his man to drive off, Roman and Lucas, who are now joined by Nico, Bo, and Hope, reach the garage area. Orpheus looks into the rear view mirror and smiles as the van takes off into the night.

    Roman, Shane, Bo and Lucas jump into a waiting squad car as Hope and Nico jump into one of Victor’s private cars and they all take off after Orpheus. The chase is dangerous through the city streets of Salem as the three vehicles drive at speeds of up to 90 mph. As the van turns a corner, it barely misses hitting a parked car. While it slows down a bit, this gives Hope a chance to pull out her gun, point it out the window, and fire several shots at the speeding van. Nico looks at Hope and is very impressed, to which Hope looks back at Nico and smiles.

    In the other car, Bo takes his wife’s lead and draws his gun as well, firing several more shots at the van. Orpheus orders his men to return fire and now there is a shootout on the dimly lit streets of Salem. The van turns off and Roman seems to have lost it for a brief moment until he spots it fly around the corner. He picks up the chase again as Hope and Nico follow closely behind.

    The chase finally ends up in front of the Chancellor Building. The van is sitting quietly as both cars pull up and slam on the breaks. Lucas and Shane jump out, followed by Bo and Roman. Hope and Nico jump out and run up to the group as they all look around for Orpheus. Guns drawn, the group splits up and goes around searching the outside of the building. When Lucas walks up to the almost completely glass structure, he tries the door, but it is locked. He looks inside and begins to turn around but something catches his eye. He focuses in on a person standing in the middle of the hallway.

    To his utter fear and shock......it is his beloved Sami, who is crying uncontrollably. Lucas tries the door and calls out to the others that he has found Sami. They all race around the building to see Sami standing completely still inside the glass building. Bo, Shane, and Roman look around and find a small bench . They both grab it and pick it up, getting ready to throw it through the window. But, just as they sling the bench backwards, a voice from over a loud speaker interrupts them, telling them that.....

    Orpheus: I wouldn’t do that if I were you two. I don’t think you have the insurance to pay Katherine Chancellor for any new doors, do you?

    The group turns and look around frantically and then Roman spots another black van sitting on the opposite side of the street. He then sees Orpheus get out of the van, slowly walk around the front of it....

    And show the group a sight that makes their blood run arctic cold.

    Orpheus holds in his hand the detonator to an explosive device. He stands near the driver side of the van as he instructs the group......

    Orpheus: Ok, ladies and gentlemen. Time to play Orpheus Says. Orpheus says........GET THE HELL AWAY FROM THE BUILDING!!

    The group look at each other and then silently walk slowly away from the building. Lucas walks backwards, looking at Sami and mouthing to her that she will be alright. A distraught Sami clutches her fist and shakes her head slowly. Lucas does not take is eyes off of her as the group make it back to their cars.

    Then, Orpheus speaks, saying....

    Orpheus: Good. Good. Nice to see that you all listen. Apparently my show aboard the ship wasn’t enough. Time for you to learn another lesson.
    Roman: (Yelling across the street) Really? And what is that?
    Orpheus: To remember just how dangerous I really am.

    The events then happen in slow motion. Orpheus smiles evilly and looks towards the building. The group look at him and then tragically realize that Orpheus has wired the entire building to explode. Lucas turns and looks at Sami and then starts to run with all of his strength and speed towards the building. Bo sees Lucas take off and follows after him, along with Shane. Roman turns and looks at Orpheus and runs towards him, while Hope aims her gun and fires at Orpheus.

    The van door opens up and Orpheus jumps inside. Lucas looks inside the building to see Sami mouth three simple words to him.......

    I Love You.

    As Orpheus dodges Hope’s shot, he looks dead at Roman as Roman leaps towards the van......

    And Orpheus pushes the button on the detonator.

    A red button on 1,000 pounds of explosives detonates as one as the glass building explodes, sending Lucas, Shane and Bo flying backwards. The force of the blast knocks Hope over the back of the car and Roman stands and watches in shock and agony as his precious daughter Samantha is killed in a powerful blast that sends glass and steel everywhere.

    Orpheus closes the van door and the van starts up, with Roman reacting on pure instinct. As the van pulls off, Roman grabs hold of the driver side door and jumps on the side of the van, trying to grab the steering wheel and push the van into the river. The driver pulls his gun and bashes Roman again and again until he lets go, almost falling to the street before regaining his balance and running after it. When he realizes that he can’t catch the van, he stops in the middle of the street and slowly turns, with tears flowing down his face.

    Roman starts walking back towards the building as Bo and Shane run over and stop Lucas from entering the burning remnants. Nico and Hope run up and try to hold back a hysterically sobbing and almost uncontrollable Lucas. Bo holds him from behind and, with tears coming down his face, tells Lucas that....

    Bo: I know! I know what you’re going through! Oh God, Lucas.........I know.

    All Lucas can do is bury his face in Bo’s chest as he cries out........

    Lucas: WHY?! WHY HER?! HE DIDN’T HAVE TO KILL HER!!!!

    Shane watches as Hope wipes tears away from her face as Nico turns and looks at Roman, who can only stand in the street and watch the remains of the building burn. Roman then flashes back to another tragic moment in his life and now feels that life does go in circles.

    First Marlena.........now his darling Samantha.

    As Bo holds Lucas and Hope and Nico look on, Roman turns and starts to walk away while Shane calls in for some help. The burning building is in the background as Roman takes out his gun......and drops it on the ground. He then takes out his badge and, without even looking at it.......

    Flings it into the Salem River. He slowly walks up the dimly lit street, saying to himself only one thing. With tears streaming down his face, he makes a promise.......

    Roman: Orpheus......no matter where you are.......or where you go........I’ll find you. And when I do.....

    May Almighty GOD have mercy on your soul!

    The scene then pans upward as we see Roman walking into the night by himself as Bo and the others comfort Lucas and the scene slowly fades to black.

    -The MCF tells Roman that it's not quite time for the reveal of his or her identity yet as Cal, Katherine, Doug, Julie, Maggie, Caroline, Bo, Hope, Belle, Carrie, Austin, Sami, Lucas, Will, Kate, Eric, Jack, Billie, Frankie, Greta, Max, Shane, Abe, Lexie, Celeste, Stefano, Cassie, Victor, Philip, Tony, Anna, Kayla, Abby, Chelsea, and Forest all look on with Marlena watching backstage and Nicole watching from the back of the ballroom. Steve, Alan, James, and Ernesto are still on stage. The MCF says he or she still has much more to reveal and discuss with them and it's all been so much fun so far.

    Marlena (backstage, rolling her eyes): Yeah. It's been a barrel of laughs.

    The MCF looks around and stares at Steve.

    MCF (via voice changer): Well, your beloved wife already revealed to everyone the terms of our partnership so there is no sense in me repeating what she, I'm sure, so eloquently said to the masses here. All I will add is how well-behaved you were, Steven. Well, until recently.
    Steve: Shutup. If it weren't for my loved ones, I wouldn't have ever...
    MCF: Yes. I am well aware. You want to protect them and want your memory back and yada yada yada...too bad you are getting none of that.
    Steve: We had a deal!
    MCF: Oh, come on now. You lost your memory, not your brain. You had to know this was coming. Besides, I could have forced you into this even by simply making threats. It was just fun to throw in the fact that I could help you regain your memory. It gave you a glimmer of hope for me to crush on this very day.
    Steve: I will kill...

    Kayla races on stage and holds Steve back, taking him off the stage and down with the others in the ballroom. Kayla tells Steve it's ok. He is a victim, just like the rest of them.

    The MCF wishes to move on and tries to remember where he or she left off. The MCF remembers not talking about the night after Carrie gave birth and Alan raped Will and tells the crowd that it may be wise to leave that alone at the moment as there are more fun topics to broach. James looks on, wondering why the MCF keeps skipping over the night of his family's murder. Marlena looks on backstage, laughing at the MCF and commenting on what a coward he or she is.

    The MCF then looks over at Doug, Julie, and Maggie. The three of them are standing together.

    MCF: Ah...nothing like a few Horton's to brighten up the room. Salem's beloved family. Pillars of the community. Well-respected...HA!! If all of Salem only knew, they would not know what hit them.

    The MCF walks behind Maggie and whispers into her ear.

    MCF: All secrets have a way of coming out, my dear. You know what you did. It's eating away at you. Come forward. Your all going to die tonight, anyway. Say it. Absolve yourself. Rid yourself of the guilt.
    Maggie (shaking, as tears stream down her face): Shutup!! Please!!!
    MCF: Hmm...you see, ladies and gentlemen...I don't know if you quite remember that infamous night at the end of February. The night popular Salem establishment, Chez Rouge, went up in smoke. After a few days, it was concluded that the ever so nutty, Dr. Marlena Evans, had started the fire.

    Marlena coldly looks on from backstage.

    MCF: Well, your ever so thorough Salem PD screwed up on the job again. You see, they questioned two beloved citizens who normally would be able to be trusted. However, in this circumstance, they couldn't be. With the help of one Victor Kiriakis, these two women concocted a scheme to pin the fire on Marlena, who was not to blame. Marlena was already committed to the psych ward and couldn't speak for herself so it was all too easy. I should say that one of the women, the one who set the fire, did not want to do this. The guilt has eaten away at her for weeks. She was unconscious at the time due to smoke inhalation and other injuries. Her memory was quite fuzzy at first so the other woman and Victor were better able to convince her that she didn't do it. She soon remembered and they forced her into agreeing to the plan to pin it on Marlena. You see, the woman that set the fire had a bad night that night. She was convinced that the man she had fallen for, so soon after her beloved husband's death, had betrayed her with his ex-wife. This woman was the delightful Nicole Walker-Brady and the man was Victor Kiriakis. The woman believed they had slept together but didn't realize it was a trick set up by Victor to push her away. He feared for her life due to me, the great cloaked one, being around and due to his business dealings. The woman ran off to Chez Rouge, where she spent the night getting hammered as her loved ones searched for her. The next morning, her partner in crime found her and she had gotten so drunk that she lashed out at the world and set fire to the restaurant by tossing down a candle in anger. She fell and knocked herself out as she tried to leave. This fire endangered many lives, as you all know, and ended up leaving beloved Doug Williams in a coma for weeks.
    Roman: What is the point to this?
    Maggie (fighting back tears and whispering): Victor and Nicole didn't sleep together? Oh my...he did it to try to protect me. He does love me.
    Eric: That is what Nicole was hiding and what Victor wanted in exchange for his help with getting her a job at Titan and custody of Evan. It makes so much sense now...
    MCF: The point is...Marlena didn't do it. This all started because a certain someone learned of Victor being alive and went to find him. She felt like she had to or else her beloved aunt would never get closure. She was able to track Victor down outside of Salem and persuaded him to return so he could either break it off with her aunt or stay with her. Of course, she tried to convince him to break up with her aunt out of fear for her safety following the shootout on New Year's.
    Doug: Wait...aunt? Two women...the candle...Chez Rouge...Julie, you were the first one that showed up at Chez Rouge that morning. You saw the fire start and, from what I hear, you and Maggie were who the PD questioned. You two told them you saw Marlena exiting the restaurant.
    MCF: I can assure you, Mr. Williams, Marlena was never inside. Marlena was at the restaurant as I set her up to be caught that night. I had to get rid of her, you see. Whatever the case, she didn't start that fire.
    Doug: Oh my...
    Maggie (In tears after hearing all this): I DID IT!!! I STARTED THE FIRE!!! NOT MARLENA!! ME!!!
    MCF: I knew you would break.
    Doug: Wait, that means the other woman...the one that went and found Victor and brought him back here...the one that helped cover up the fire that nearly killed me...my God, no!!
    Julie (fighting back tears): Doug...I...
    Doug: I told you!! We had a deal. You were not to deal with Victor anymore. You were not to deal with his relationship with Maggie anymore but you did. You convinced him to return here and helped set all this mess in motion by having him return to give closure to him and Maggie. The whole ordeal led to the fire and me being in a coma!! YOUR OWN HUSBAND!! I NEARLY DIED AND YOU HELPED COVER THE CRIME UP!!
    Julie: It was for the sake of the family...the Horton name. It was for Maggie.
    Victor: Doug...
    Doug: Stay out of this!!!
    Victor: Lose the jealousy.
    Doug: Lose the ego, Victor. Yes, I know you and Julie had a brief relationship but that has nothing to do with this.
    Victor: Hmm...I beg to differ.
    Doug: I want you out of our lives. You are a cancer and this proves it.
    Julie: Doug...
    Doug: I know Marlena isn't herself and did a lot of things but she was innocent. God, I can't even look at you and Maggie right now.
    Maggie: Doug...
    Julie: You have to believe me!! I never wanted this. It...happened. I was protecting Maggie. She fell off the wagon after Victor was presumed dead and needed me. The family needed to protect it's good name and...
    Doug: I can't even look at you!! I can't hear this right now!!
    Julie: Doug!! Damnit!! (looks at the MCF) Why do you want us to suffer?
    MCF: Well, dear. Your not my enemy. Ernesto wanted to target you.
    Ernesto: You screwed up my illusion back on the island after the Loretta sank. Hope and you interfered in my plans and, as a result, I had to take you both hostage and Hope ended up going in the cage. Of course, Hope offered herself for your life. You see, I resent the fact that you got off scott-free. Hope was switched with Greta. Both Hope and Greta were scarred. I was left scarred in that explosion and was in a coma for years. You should've been in that cage too with Hope. Actually, moreso you rather then Hope. You were Victor's current trophy girl at the time. You two cared for each other then and one of my regrets was not forcing you into that cage just to make him suffer. In a way, I am making up for that now. However, I just want revenge on my enemies and you happened to be one of them by association that infamous night on the island. The night that left me in misery for years. You must pay and tonight you are and the others will soon too.
    MCF: I am grateful you all are here, even if you aren't my enemies. You can witness how this grand scheme came together and how truly gifted I am as a mastermind (Ernesto rolls his eyes as Marlena says backstage she is ready to vomit). However, I did make a deal with my assistants up there (looks at James, Alan, and Ernesto) and I did promise them they would have their revenge so that is just as big a role in this as any.

    A pleased MCF is ready to move on and tells everyone to shutup. The MCF warns that this all is only the beginning. Hope then calls out to the MCF and asks him or her how heartless they can be. Lives are being destroyed and he or she is treating this like a party game. The MCF snickers and says it is.

    MCF (gently touching Hope's face): Ah...Fancy Face. (whispering in her ear) You have a little secret too.

    Hope realizes the MCF knows about Chelsea being her daughter and not Bo and Billie's. She panics. Bo gets upset and tells the MCF to get his or her hand off his wife. The MCF sarcastically recalls how Bo has been pushing his wife away and doesn't seem to care about her lately...or anyone for that matter. The MCF then remarks on how Bo is a shell of his former shelf. He is isolating himself from everyone.

    MCF: What's the matter? Big, bad Bo Brady learned he got some action from his own uncle and now he isn't so bad anymore.
    Bo: You bastard!! (punches MCF)
    MCF: I could very well be a woman, you know!! Shouldn't be hitting a woman.
    Bo: I don't care. Are you ok? What did this monster say to you?
    MCF: Yes, Hope. What did I say?
    Hope: It's just mind games, Bo.
    MCF: Hmm...perhaps Chelsea can elaborate.

    Chelsea panics as Hope gives her a knowing stare. Chelsea knows from Hope's look alone that the MCF is trying to get them to admit their secret.

    Chelsea: Uhh...No.
    MCF (gets up and circles around Chelsea like a vulture): Oh, come on. I'm sure you can.
    Chelsea: No...
    MCF: Well, I suppose we could move on to your other secret then. The one concerning the vile act you committed. Of course, you had ample reason to perform this act but so many of your loved ones were accused and could've been arrested. Lucky for you, our esteemed Salem PD dropped the ball again.
    Chelsea: What are you...
    MCF: Oh come on, Chelsea. I know you have grown up so much with all you have been through. The car accident Abigail and you were in forced you to mature but this act was committed before that. You still need to account for it and what time is better then now? Your going to die on this ship. It doesn't matter. Just tell all of your loved ones. Tell everyone here since this is turning into a Midnight Confessions themed party anyway. Come on, just do it.
    Chelsea (as tears stream down her face): Why are you doing this? Just back off, ok!!
    MCF: No!!

    The MCF aims his or her gun at Chelsea.

    MCF: Say it. Recall Jason and Barry. The two guys that hurt you so much last summer. You hated them, Chelsea. They raped you, Chelsea. Both of them. They beat you...you wanted revenge. They nearly killed you...you took action. Action that you got away with...until now. Tell them...look at your loved ones and tell them what you did to Jason and Barry.
    Chelsea: Why...
    MCF: Do it or I start shooting up that dysfunctional family of yours (points gun at Billie, Kate, Hope, and Bo).
    Chelsea: OK. FINE!! I HATED THEM!!!I WANTED THEM TO PAY SO THAT NIGHT I KILLED THEM!!I WENT TO THE DOCKS AND SHOT THEM BOTH DEAD!!! I KILLED THEM!!

    Chelsea then breaks down in tears as Abby comforts her and is joined by Kate and Billie, who calls the MCF a monster.

    MCF: Can it, Nancy Drew. Now, let's not stop the fun. It's time to continue on with the misery. Who's up next? Ah, yes. The Dimera's (looks at Stefano, Cassie, Tony, Anna, Lexie, Abe, and Celeste).

    The MCF and Stefano then engage in a stare-down as the screen freezes on a split screen of Stefano and the MCF and then fades to black.

    ON THE NEXT SALEM LIVES...

    Kim to Alice: I'm worried. I am worried we may have seen so many of our loved ones for the last time.
    Stefano to MCF: I will make you pay!!
    James to MCF: I want to know why you are steering clear of mentioning my family's murder?

    THIS WEEK'S WRITER IN THE HOT SHEET: PATRICK EWING (ROMAN)


    1. The response to Arloa Reton (Joelle Young) has been sensational. How do you feel about the way readers have voiced their opinion about her and her character?

    A: To be perfectly frank, that has came out of nowhere. Arloa has asked if she is doing a good job, and all I can tell her is “Read the responses, my dear.” (laughs) People like her, but hate her character’s guts. Readers have threatened bodily harm to this character, which means that not only is she being written right, readers love Sami and Lucas together, and that is what’s most important.

    2: There was a recent scene with Marlena (Deidre Hall) and Roman (Drake Hogestyn) where Marlena used some very strong language towards Roman about the state of their marriage. How do you feel about her character behaving like that?

    A: For me and a lot of fans.......it’s about damn time! Marlena has been written like some damn damsel in distress for 10 years now, and from what I have seen, readers love the fact that she has regained her backbone and told Roman to f*** off if he can’t get his head straight. I feel she never lost it, but it was laying dormant for far too long. Look forward to more of this. Dee is very excited about her upcoming story, and so are we. She will be back were she should be, and we will NOT make the mistake of another soap who feels it is stupid to use veterans like her.

    3: Victor (John Aniston) and Stefano (Joe Mascolo) are front and center right now, and this Mafia War story has pushed these two great actors to the forefront. How is the response?

    A: Once again, the use of veterans. How can that ever be a bad thing? Nothing is wrong with using the younger set, but they always need to fit into the fabric of whatever story is being told for the vets. Soap opera executives and writers need to start listening to their true fans: vets bring in readers and ratings. These two performers have either been back burned for way too long or have been stuck in one stupid story after another on the other show they worked for. We changed that. We started this feud between them and the entire cast, and one point or another, have been involved. It’s a wonderful story to tell.......and stay tuned for the rest of it.

    4: Steve (Stephen Nichols) and Hope (Kristian Alfonso) have gotten a lot of time together recently on the blog. Will this continue, and if so, why are you breaking up two great super couples?

    A: Who says we’re breaking them up? (laughs) We are telling story that has been under the surface for many years. It never cold be told before because both characters were with other people, and Stephen was gone for so long working on other daytime dramas. This is an opportunity, one which the readers seem to enjoy. Will it continue? Keep reading, my friends. (laughs)

    5: The blog seems to be hitting its stride. What is coming up?

    A: We are getting better in certain areas, but never forget this. There are many things where we can improve on, and I feel that if any writer is so arrogant that they feel his or her blog is on point all the time, you should stop writing. You always push yourself to do better than what you are doing now.........and you stop doing it when it is no longer fun. If anything, I hope and pray that the readers see we are having a lot of fun. The best thing about all of this? Reading responses from the readers of the blog. Giving them the stories THEY want to see, not the stories we want to see and being so arrogant that we won’t listen to what they have to say. Too much of that [!@#$%^&*] going on, where writers come off like the Vince McMahon of soaps, writing the stuff they want fans to have.

    We don’t do that. We try our best to tell compelling stories, and read the constructive feedback and apply it accordingly. We learn form what our readers say, and hopefully they see that in the blog.

    Catching Up With: Wayne Northrop

    We recently had time to sit down and ask Wayne Northrop (ex-Roman, ex-Stefano, ex-Wendell, SL) three questions on how he’s doing since leaving SL, what he thinks of the blog right now, and how he feels about Drake Hogestyn playing a role he created.

    Salem Lives Insider: Wayne, it’s great to see you again, sir! What brings you by SONBC Studios?

    Wayne Northrop: Well, I come by to see some old friends in the cast and on the crew, just to say hi. This place is really buzzing with some positive feedback, and everyone seems really excited about what is coming up.

    SLI: Question, Wayne. How do you feel about Drake taking on a role you started?

    WN: I have always felt fine with that. The same way I felt when Josh played the role. I’m not one of these actors who demands this and that. If it works out that I can play Roman, so be it. But my life is so full of richness and happiness right now, I just don’t see myself returning to SL or any soap. Drake played this role so well, and the fans love him to death. It’s his role now, and he’ll do what he does best........take the ball and sprint for the touchdown. With Dee’s help, how can he go wrong? (laughs)

    SLI: What do you think of SL right now?

    WN: Wow. That’s all I can say. Pat asked me back for a one-shot recently, and I just couldn’t turn that down. I know I said I don’t see myself coming back, but........you truly never know. Salem Lives is really doing some great things. The twists and turns and the fact that CHARACTERS are being written for, not couples, is really lighting this place on fire. I find my wife getting into it so much lately, and she is one who can’t be impressed easily. I love it, and hope they continue with what they are doing.

    SLI: What have you been up to?

    WN: Being lazy! (laughs) Working on my ranch, and just enjoying life. We worked hard to get to where we are, and we are just enjoying each other right now. It feels great to just sit on my porch and watch the sunset with the woman I love so much. You just don’t know. But, and this is a big but..........if the story is right, and the offer is right..........who knows? You may see old Wendell causing trouble on a show near you some day again.

    SLI: Thanks so much, Wayne. We do appreciate it.

    WN: Anytime.

    Breaking News!!!!!

    A highly placed source at SONBC Studios has revealed that Salem Lives has started filming very explosive scenes for episodes that will be posted in October and for November Sweeps. Many key stars have been brought in to film for the next four weekends and the studio is rumored to be shut down in the first week of November to film the start of story lines that will, in this source's opinion, "Change the face of Salem Lives for a long time to come." Speaking on the condition of anonymity, the inside source told SONBC that sets are being constructed and finances are being worked out for what is sure to be some huge and shocking events that fans are sure to love.

    Salem Lives will post normally, so no interruption will occur.

    DECEMBER 18, 2007: EPISODE #396: PARTY FEVER


    KIRIAKIS MANSION

    It is one hour later and Victor’s party is in full swing. Many of Victor’s friends and soldiers form his home country of Greece have arrived at the party and the liquor is flowing freely while men laugh, tell old stories, play $10,000 pool games and card games, and talk about old friendships renewed. Henderson then walks into the main room in casual wear, as Victor ordered, and is carrying a package. Victor tells him that he is off for the next week as all the men walk over to see what the package is.

    Henderson hands Victor a card, which says.......

    “To A Great Friend.....And A Even Greater Adversary. May Your Life Be Filled With Happiness, And Peace. Sincerely, Stefano DiMera.”

    After Victor is finished reading the card, he looks at the package. He picks it up and shakes it, to which Bo remarks......

    Bo: Sure it’s not ticking?

    Everyone looks at each other as Abe and Roman come over and the other men stand back. Abe knows they should call the bomb squad and Roman says that it would be the best way for Stefano to wipe everyone out. Victor says for now, that is not the case, and steps up to the package and starts opening it. When Victor turns back around......

    The room is empty. Everyone has left the building. Victor looks around and sees Bo’s head slowly peaking up from behind one of the couches. Roman peaks from behind a curtain and Steve opens one of the closet doors slightly. Victor sighs and says everything is fine. Stefano sent Victor a picture of the two of them after they became Made Men.

    At that moment, everyone comes out of the woodwork. Victor starts laughing as he sees these grown men hiding in places he didn’t think was possible. Then he says.....

    Victor: Nice to see you have my back.

    Everyone breaks out in laughter as the music resumes and everything gets back to normal. Roman then looks at Abe, who is walking back toward one of the pool tables and runs over to him. He asks if he can speak with him. Abe pauses for a moment, looking at his friend, and agrees, giving his pool stick to someone else.

    Both men put on their coats, grab a six-pack of the finest imported beer, and walk out onto the balcony. Roman takes one of the beers and hands it to Abe, saying.....

    Roman: Can you forgive your brother......for acting like an ass?
    Abe: I think so.

    Abe takes the beer, opens it, and downs most of it, saying that he needs to get more of this. Roman says he’ll have Victor ship him in all that he needs. The men then sit down and Roman goes on to say how he lost his head. He never meant to say that Abe played second fiddle to him and, from the bottom of his heart, thanks Abe for doing what he tried to do. Abe nods his head and says that he hopes Roman can get his life back to normal. Roman says he’d like to start now.....

    And both men stand up and hug. Abe smiles and starts laughing when he sees Roman wiping his eyes and Roman says that it just started snowing and a flake got into his eyes. Both men laugh and then Abe turns serious, saying that he wanted to wait until tomorrow to tell him this news but one of his contacts inside the D.A.’s Office told him that Patricia is going to charge him with multiple counts of murder. Roman sighs deeply, saying that he figured that. He also finds it amazing that he may face jail time after everything Orpheus and Stefano has done.

    Abe agrees and says Roman better have a good lawyer. Roman says he does and hopes he doesn’t spend the holidays locked up in jail. As the men turn and walk back into the party, the scene shifts......


    SALEM INN

    To the ladies’ party, where they are having a great time as well. So great a time that they don’t see the two very well-built police officers walking into the party. Hope stands up and asks if there is a problem and one of the officers says yes. When she then asks if they are too loud, the officer says they aren’t loud enough......

    And the other officer pulls out a boom box and hits play as the men start stripping. The place explodes in cheers and whistles as both men dance over to Maggie and start stripping in front of her. Even Alice gets into the act, saying to one of the men....

    Alice: Now, young man........I thought your job was to show us some skin. Get to work.

    The women laugh as both men start working the room as Melissa, Sarah and Laura start throwing money towards them. Hope and Kayla puts dollar bills down their G-strings and Caroline, Adrienne and Lexie take pictures of the men as they dance. Billie is actually managing to have a great time, as is Marlena, and Julie remarks to Marlena that it is good to see her laugh and enjoy herself after the year she’s had.

    As Marlena agrees with Celeste, Anna wants to walk over to Carrie and talk to her but every time she looks over to her, Carrie shakes her head no. Abby and Kate can feel the tension between the two and Billie completely ignores Kate for most of the evening. Greta looks at everyone having a great time.......but calls Frankie.......

    Who takes a break from watching a pool game between Steve and Roman to talk to Greta. Frankie asks if the ladies are having a good time and she says just as good a time as the men are having. She then says that she misses him and he replies in kind, saying that he is thinking about her constantly. They both smile as they say their good-byes and Frankie walks back into the pool room.

    Lucas is standing there watching a card game when Frankie pulls him to the side. Frankie tells Lucas that Joellle filed a restraining order against him. Lucas is actually relieved to hear this, saying that the farther he stays away from her, the better. Frankie then tells him that he just better be careful and make sure he stays away from her until the trial. As the two men rejoin the party, Bo and Roman walk over to Victor and tell him that he does know that there are male dancers over at the Salem Inn.

    Victor is worried about that and then says that they need to do something about it. Steve agrees and Abe then turns around and tells all the men that it’s time to go party crashing. The men cheer as they pick up their keys and coats and everyone heads out.

    Thirty minutes later, the women are sitting around drinking and laughing as the strippers put on an encore show. Marlena looks toward the window and sees Roman, Bo and Steve peaking their heads into the party. When Bo looks over and sees Marlena....he grabs Roman, who grabs Steve, and all three men disappear. Marlena halts the dancers and tells the ladies that they have guests.

    Victor walks in with his entourage and says yes, the party has just gotten started. Everyone cheers as they all hug each other and music starts playing as everyone breaks off into couples and starts dancing. After twenty minutes, everyone claps as Bo gathers everyone’s attention. As Victor and Maggie stand arm in arm, he says.........

    Bo: Well, it’s about time. Victor, I knew you would find happiness one day with a very special lady. She’s been a very important part of all our lives for many years and, so, to welcome Maggie into the Kiriakis family, I have something to give her.

    Bo takes a gift and walks over to Maggie and tells her.......

    Bo: Victor will recognize this. It is from his mother and his father gave her this on the day before they were married. I had it sent here to give to you. From what Victor tells me, his parents had a wonderful marriage and that’s what I want for you two.

    Bo kisses Maggie on the cheek, saying.......

    Bo: Welcome to our family.

    Everyone applauds as Victor shakes Bo’s hand and Laura and Alice hug Maggie. The discussion then turns to the best man. Nico says that he is glad that Bo is standing up for Victor on his best day. Bo tells Nico.....

    Bo: Well, that’s where you’re wrong. I talked it over with Victor and we both feel..........that the man who should stand up for him.....is the man who has protected him for all these years.

    Victor then walks over to a confused Nico, taking out a gift for him.

    Victor: Nico.......this is for the best man. Bo has one as well because he’s my son. But, he told me.....that if a man has spent the better part of his life.......saving me from death more times that I care to remember, that he should stand up with me. That man is you, my friend. Please......please say you’ll be my best man.

    Nico takes the gift, which is a brand new custom-made Rolex watch, and puts it on, saying......

    Nico: For you, sir........it would be my honor.

    The two men hug as everyone applauds loudly. Tony then says that the liquor and music will be going all night so everyone should have a great time.........especially since he charged everything to Stefano’s Visa Gold Card. The guests laugh as Tony takes Anna into his arms and, as the music starts playing again, Tony tells her that everything will be ok with Carrie. He’ll see to it. Anna smiles as she dances in Tony’s arms........

    And, as Roman dances with Marlena, he tells her that he and Abe worked some things out. She is so happy to hear that but then Roman tells her that he may end up going to prison for killing Orpheus. Marlena assures Roman that when a jury hears all the evil things he did........twenty years ago and now......that there is no way he’ll serve one day in jail. As the couple look into each other’s eyes and continue to dance.....

    Bo and Hope dance near them, with Hope telling Bo how wonderful it was that he stepped aside and made Nico Victor’s best man. Bo said it was the least he could do. Nico’s a great man and has been there for Victor since they started out together. Hope tells Bo how special he truly is and all Bo can say is......

    Bo: I know.

    As they both laugh, the scene then switches to Victor and Maggie, who just look lovingly into each other’s eyes. The scene lingers on them for a few moments and then slowly fades out.


    I.S.A. HEADQUARTERS IN ST. LOUIS

    Shane tells Miranda by telephone that he is headed to Salem for Victor and Maggie’s wedding. He asks for an update on the search and Miranda, who is in Rio Da Janeiro, says that she has a lead on Lawrence but nothing concrete. Shane tells her to keep on it and she says she will as they hang up. As Shane grabs his luggage and heads out......


    DIMERA PENTHOUSE

    Stefano gets a phone call from a man telling him some information....

    Stefano: Yes.......yes, hello. It’s good to hear your voice. Yes. And the briefcase? Hmmm......that’s what I thought. Well, Victor, Bo and everyone else are looking the other way. As far as they know, that case has disappeared and won’t turn up. Do this. Get our soldiers on this, now. The contents of that case are vital.......

    And may decide the future of four families here in Salem.

    JANUARY 31, 2008-EPISODE #426: SPACED OUT PART II


    STREETS OF SALEM

    As Tony and Anna walk the beautiful, nighttime streets of downtown Salem, they see a man selling roses on a sidewalk. They stop and Tony buys one for his lady love. She smiles as he hands it to her, saying.....

    Tony: I hope this starts to make up for leaving you on that pier all those years ago.

    Anna smiles once again and rests her head on his chest. She then takes his arm and asks what he’s going to do now. Tony says that with the truce on between Victor and Stefano and the violence hopefully at an end, he wants to connect with Cassie. She doesn’t want his father’s influence to taint her in any way. Anna hopes the same for herself. She knows that she can at least be a friend to Carrie, if not a mother. She now thanks Marlena for being there for her for all those years.

    Tony then asks how her business is coming. Anna says fine. Once she gets Designs By A.D. off the ground, she wants Carrie to run it for her. Not as a bribe to get her love back but because she has watched her from a distance, and thinks she has the right stuff to be a top designer and businesswoman. Tony agrees and says he will help in any way he can. But, what worries him now......

    Is what his father may be up to.

    Anna says that they shouldn’t talk about that. For tonight, they need to let love be their guide. Tony smiles and agrees as they walk arm in arm down the sidewalk.


    KIRIAKIS MANSION

    Victor walks in and kisses Maggie good evening. He fills her in on the latest threat to the family and says that things are about to get dicey once again. Maggie asks whose involved this time and reveals a name she has not heard in years.........Lawrence Alamain. She grows angry, not being able to believe that he has the gall to start trouble again........after what he put Jennifer and the rest of them through.

    He also says that Carly is staying at the mansion and she says she knows. Henderson told her. Maggie says she must be scared to come looking for help.......from him. She hopes he didn’t take that wrong and he smiles, saying he didn’t. He actually agrees with her. He doesn’t know what Lawrence has put her through.......but he will find out.

    She then says that the club is coming along splendidly as he says he knows. He’s talked to his foreman and he told Victor things should be ready soon. She thanks him once again for doing that for her and he says it’s no problem at all as they share a kiss. He then takes her in his arms and says.....

    Victor: My darling, let us go upstairs.........lay across the bed........look lovingly at one another.......and then.......
    Maggie: Yes........
    Victor: Watch the news.
    Maggie: Party pooper.

    Both of them laugh as she dims the lights and, as they walk arm in arm to the stairs, she says......

    Maggie: You’re no fun.
    Victor: You didn’t say that two nights ago.
    Maggie: Oh, stop!

    And, as they ascend the stairs, the scene turns to...........


    STREETS OF SALEM

    Alyson driving down the street, with a crying Sam in the backseat. Her car then starts to sputter and then stops completely as she gets it to the side of the road. As she gets out and tries to flag down a car, after a few minutes, someone stops. And the person who gets out of a very fancy sports car........is Philip. He says what are the chances of them running into each other and she says stuff like this happens in soap operas.

    He says he’ll give her car a look see. She opens the hood and he checks under it. He says he doesn’t know what he’s doing but maybe he can at least get it back up and running. She thanks him for stopping. He says it’s no problem. He then tries, after a few moments, he starts to bring up their night together. When he does.......she doesn’t want to talk about it, reminding him they agreed that was for the best. Philip respects her wishes.

    A few moments later, he says that he can’t do a thing but has called a tow truck.....and will pay for whatever repairs she needs. She thanks him and then says she wishes he was that good with children as Sam continues to cry. Philip says he can give it try. Alyson gets Sam and they all sit in Philip’s car. He takes the little boy and, after a few minutes, Sam not only starts to calm down, but starts to drift off to sleep.

    She is amazed. Philip says he got a lot of practice with Claire. She looks at him holding her sleeping son and the scene fades into.....


    ILLINOIS STATE PENITENTIARY

    Marlena sits with Lucas first, telling him that there might be a new threat to all their families and friends. Lucas then says a lot of help he can do being locked up. She then tells him to be very careful.....and tells him that Kate, Sami and everyone is doing their best to prove him innocent so can be let free. He thanks her and then leaves, saying he knows she wants to talk to Roman.

    Ten minutes later, Roman is led in and she is allowed to take him, with a guard, to a private room for his first session of hypnosis.

    As he lays down, Marlena slowly and very patiently, puts him under. She starts asking him questions about his past and his memories start flowing......

    Bo and him hugging on the pier after Marlena’s first disappearance..........Meeting Isabella.........Marrying Marlena the first and second times..........Running from Stefano’s men in a theater..........Saving Marlena at Ridgecrest, Stefano’s hideout.........and........being shot by Stefano on a mountain top.........


    Which makes his memory drift to him laying in a room. He can barely make out the voices but he can hear two men talking, with one of them saying.........

    Man: Are you sure he can’t remember the location? Damn........well, his memory must be erased. If anyone finds out what he knows..........

    And then Roman suddenly opens his eyes, terrified. Marlena is shocked and tries to bring Roman out of it but he grabs her by the wrist.....and won’t let go. As she tries to pull away, Roman keeps squeezing harder......

    And the scene freeze frames on his face, his eyes opened wide with fear............

    And then suddenly go black!

    NOVEMBER 19, 2007-EPISODE # 376: RACING EYES


    SALEM TOWERS

    The power is now fully back on and everyone is moving about in the ballroom. Lexie, Tony and Patricia can't believe what they just heard. Cassie once again tells them she hit Greta as a frustrated Stefano covers his face and shakes his head in a disappointed manner. Patricia demands to know why Cassie didn't come forward sooner and all Cassie can say is that she's sorry and that she will accept whatever punishment she receives.

    Meanwhile, Roman asks Anna if she is sure about what she just told him. Anna nods and tells Roman that Kate told Billie that she saw Sami with Orpheus. Marlena and the others are overjoyed. A tearful Marlena tells Roman they need to go get there daughter...NOW!! Roman says they are on the case and tells Abe they need to go. Marlena insists on coming too. Caroline, Belle, Lucas, Will, Victor, Maggie, and Frankie also wish to go, among others. Roman says he isn't going to argue with any of them since they will just come anyway. All he will say is that they stay out of the way and listen to orders.

    Roman then leads them all out. Philip tells Belle he will go with her to lend some support. Belle tells him she doesn't need him and races off. Abe tells Celeste to go downstairs and tell an officer to take her home with the power now on. Theo needs her. Celeste tells Abe she has a horrible feeling about tonight. Abe tells her to just go home. Celeste reluctantly agrees. Julie tells Maggie she is going with her and Victor. Maggie doesn't think Victor going is the best idea but he insists he must, especially with Orpheus involved. Julie insists on going to but wonders what to do with Alice. Doug offers to take her home. Julie thanks him and lovingly glances at him.

    On another floor of the building, Steve and Hope wake up in each other's arms. Hope quickly gets up and realizes the severity of what her and Steve just did. She begins to get dressed as Steve looks around, seemingly in shock, saying he doesn't know what happened. Hope reminds him she warned him they would lose control if they kept revisiting the past and now look what happened. They had sex and have destroyed their lives and the lives of everyone they love. Steve begins to get dressed and tells Hope to calm down. She tells him to shutup. They will talk about what happened later. She just wants to find Bo and get out of there, no matter how disheveled she looks. Steve tells Hope he is sorry but she once again tells him to shutup. She races out of the room as Steve follows, still finishing getting dressed as a mysterious person watches from around the corner. The camera the pans up to reveal the person is...

    ...NICOLE!!! Nicole flashes a devilish grin and then walks off. The scene then returns to...

    the ballroom, as Jack tells Abby to go home but she refuses, saying she cares about Billie too. Jack realizes he is fighting a losing battle and agrees, especially after Forrest offers to come to for Abby's protection. Stephanie decides to go with the group since Abby is going and asks Doug to tell her mom. He agrees. Roman tells Doug as he passes by to tell Bo what is going on when he sees him. Doug says he will but then Hope and Steve come running in. Everyone stares. Doug asks what happened to them. Hope explains they got stuck in an elevator during the blackout and, when the power returned, the elevator was malfunctioning and went all the way to the top floor. They ended up on the roof and got soaked.

    Just then, Bo and Kayla walk in the ballroom. Bo is just about to say they couldn't find Hope and Steve when he sees them both right in front of them. Bo and Kayla embrace their spouses, saying they searched several floors for them. Hope repeats the explanation she gave everyone else. Bo and Kayla say they are just happy they are both alright. Abe then interrupts and tells them what is going on. Bo says he's on it. Hope, Kayla, and Steve say they are going to and follow as Bo races off

    As the group races into the lobby, Joelle looks on, watching Lucas and Will and showing a devilish grin. Meanwhile, the mystery person watching Lucas and Will takes off from around the corner to avoid being seen. Alyson and Alex are still at the bar and admit it feels like a stampede just left the building. Alex asks if she would like to keep the night going since it's still young and recommends a night on the town. Alyson smiles and says she would like that. The scene then shifts to...

    Patricia, who sees Abe running by and stops him, telling him Cassie just confessed to Greta's hit and run and she needs him. Frankie overhears Greta's name to and stops, along with Caroline. Tony fills them all in as Stefano fumes. Frankie and Caroline can't believe Cassie would do that, especially since they still consider her a part of their family. Cassie just shakes her head and cries. Roman then returns and asks what is going on. Abe tells him he has business and tells Roman to go ahead. Frankie says that he and Caroline will meet Roman there. Roman races out.

    Caroline wonders if they should tell Victor. Frankie doesn't think now is the right time, at least until they get answers. Frankie announces that Greta told him she was ready to finally make a statement about the hit and run earlier. The only issue is she doesn't remember much. Patricia thinks they should take Cassie over to the hospital right now to get to the bottom of this. She tells Frankie to go get Dr. Barbara Harris and to tell her to meet them at the hospital. They may need to use expertise. Frankie races off. Patricia then orders everyone else to come with her, saying they will get to the truth...tonight!


    ORPHEUS' PENTHOUSE

    Miranda looks on with glee as Billie, Kate, and Orpheus are still stunned by the revelation that just took place. Orpheus can't believe he has a daughter. Kate can't believe the thought of this never occurred to her. A devastated and shocked Billie, who is still feeling the effects of fainting, asks:

    Billie: How could you do this to me?
    Kate: I didn't know, Billie. God, when I think about what would've happened if Curtis...
    Billie: Typical. Thinking about yourself. Even if you did know, would you have told me?
    Kate: Billie...
    Billie: You may not have known but you still slept with him. You whore!

    Billie then hauls back and slaps Kate, sending her to the floor as Miranda laughs in the background. Billie tells Miranda to shut up, saying she is no better than her mother with the way she is behaving. Orpheus has had enough and admits one bombshell was bad enough but now this one...this is just too much. Kate recovers and gets up, telling Billie she doesn't like this anymore then she does. Billie just shakes her head and says:

    Billie: I'm one of them. I'm a Dimera.

    Kate tries to reach out and comfort her but Billie backs away and covers her face with her hands as she breaks down in tears while Miranda looks on, smiling. Kate notices this and stares daggers at her while a stunned Orpheus walks over to the window, still trying to come to grips with the latest revelation to shake up his life. As he looks out the window, he hears sirens and then sees a mass of police cars and SWAT vans pulling up. His eyes open wide with shock and worry as he realizes he may have been found out while, upstairs, Sami stares out the window in her room and sees the very same sight and becomes overjoyed.

    Sami: Oh My God!! They found me! Finally! I'm going home!

    The scene then freezes on Sami's joyous face and fades to black.

    - At the ball, Steve and Kayla spot Jack and Billie walking through the elevator doors. They have just arrived at the party after seeing Chelsea and Abby at the hospital. Jack and Steve nod their heads at each other and Billie gets ready to walk over to speak to her mother, when she overhears the conversation going on around the corner.

    Billie taps Jack on his arm and tells him to come with her for a moment. Jack excuses himself from several guests and follows Billie, who leads him around the corner. When they reach their destination, Billie informs Jack that Victor and Stefano have a showdown planned for tonight at the party. The SPD has everything monitored. Jack is shocked, wondering why would they risk doing that in such a public place with Salem’s whose who there. She doesn’t know but is glad she came prepared.

    When Jack asks her what that means, she opens her small purse to reveal a handgun stuffed down at the bottom. Jack is stunned, asking her why she picked tonight to do her Foxy Brown impersonation. She tells him to stop making jokes, this is serious, to which he replies no s**t. When Jack asks what do they do next, Billie advises him to start letting people know quietly what is happening. He says great idea. Time for him to become.........Austin Devereaux, Salem Man Of Mystery. He saunters off, while Billie watches and chuckles.

    -Belle sees Jack walk across the ballroom but when she starts to go over to speak with him, Sami stops her cold as Chicago's "If You Leave Me Now" plays. She asks her:

    Sami: What is Mom’s problem? I just tried to tell her what is going down tonight with Dad and she said that he’s a big boy and that he can take care of himself.
    Belle: What?
    Sami: Yeah. Then she said that she has more on her mind than watching a bunch of grown men play cowboys and indians.
    Belle: She hasn’t been the same since she’s gotten back home. Dad said she was acting all funny last night. He doesn’t know what to do but he has had this blood feud on his mind so much, he’s caught between a rock and a hard place.
    Sami: Well, we better just keep an eye on her so she doesn’t flip out or do something rash.

    At that moment, Marlena walks up from behind them and surprises them both. They turn around quickly to hear her say to them:

    Marlena: So........you two think I’m nuts, huh?
    Sami: Mom.....no, we didn’t mean it that way.......
    Belle: Yeah. We were just saying..........
    Marlena: Well, let me tell you two something. You try being married to a man whose had two different faces and six different past lives and see how sane you would be, ok.

    Marlena looks at them with a steely gaze and walks up on both of them, saying:

    Marlena: Now you two little brats leave me the hell alone before I get really nasty. Got that?!

    Marlena storms off, leaving both girls frightened and bewildered.

    -Austin and Lucas walk up to Sami and Belle, having witnessed the scene with Marlena. Lucas wants to know if she is alright to which Sami says yes, she’s fine. It’s just all that she’s been through has gotten her on edge. Belle concurs, saying that it’s nothing to worry about. She’ll be fine. Austin says he hopes so. Sami looks at both men and wonders why they are so worried about their mother when they plan on having a shootout later on this evening.

    Austin says that everything will be fine but that he is not backing away from this. Lucas agrees, saying that he told Sami where he stood yesterday. Nothing’s changed and Lucas wishes Sami would just accept that and stop with the constant badgering. He walks off and Sami follows him, grabbing him by the arm and turning him around. She is very angry and lashes out at him, saying:

    Sami: How dare you? How dare you get upset with me for worrying about you?
    Lucas: We have been over this time and time again, Sami. I’m not repeating myself, ok?
    Sami: So that’s it, huh? You now feel you owe me nothing, huh?

    Lucas turns away, long enough to see Hope looking at both of them. Sami grabs him by the arm and snatches him back around, until he is once again facing her. She looks at him, staring into his eyes, and says softly:

    Sami: Do you even realize what you mean to me? Huh? You are......my life. My soul. The greatest thing you gave me was our son. He has you for a father and I want him to continue growing up admiring you and loving you, not visiting your grave.
    Lucas: Do you think I want that? (Looking at Hope) With all the screw-ups and foul things I’ve done, this is the one thing I can do to protect my family and prove to you that I can take care of you and protect you. (Turning back towards Sami) I have to be man enough to face this thing, so that we all can be safe. Hope told you what is going to happen here and I can’t just walk away.
    Sami: Yes you can. You’re man enough to let the police and my dad handle it. Be man enough to come home with me right now. Please.
    Lucas: No, Sami. I can’t do that.
    Sami: (Crying) Why not?! Why can’t you just walk away Lucas?!
    Lucas: BECAUSE I LOVE YOU TOO DAMN MUCH TO WATCH YOU DIE!!!

    Sami looks at Lucas with a shocked look on her face.

    Lucas: There is no way Stefano DiMera or anyone from that wretched family is going to harm you, ok? You are the most precious thing in this whole world to me. You were when you were engaged to Austin and when you were with Franco and when you had our son. And.......I just can’t see the point of waking up every morning.........in a empty bed.........knowing that the most wonderful, kind, beautiful lady that I have ever known is gone because I wasn’t man enough to save her. So please......love me enough to leave here right now and not come back. Please Sami. I’m begging you.

    Lucas leans in and kisses Sami gently and then hugs her tightly. She returns this embrace, as he whispers in her ear:

    Lucas: If something happens to me..........I just want to say one thing.
    Sami: (Looking at Lucas, crying) What is that?
    Lucas: Thank you.............for everything.

    He walks off with Austin, leaving Sami to be comforted by Hope and Belle.

    -At the pier, Alan walks up behind Will, who is out late on this evening. He surprises him to which Will says that isn’t very funny but he starts laughing. Alan notices that through the laughter, Will is upset. When he asks why, Will responds, saying that he’s sick and tired of living a lie. Alan is shocked, asking what the hell does that mean. Will says that his parents keep pushing him to get married, have a family, and live the American dream.

    But all he wants is to be himself. He wanted to join the basketball team for the sport of it and to belong. With a mother who has spent his entire life ruining people’s lives and a father who basically let her, he just wants peace in his world. Then, every time he turned around, his Uncle Austin was parading around in nothing but a towel. How was he supposed to deal with that? Alan listens on intently. He just wants to be left alone, to be who he is. Alan asks him what is he talking about. Will turns to him and tells him something that he never knew for sure but always suspected. Will says to Alan that no one can ever know...........

    That he’s gay.

    Alan looks at Will, shocked. Will stares out into the open night.

    -Back at the party, Steve and Kayla mingle about but Kayla notices that Steve has not been looking well all day. When she asks what’s wrong, he tells her that he keeps getting these headaches from out of nowhere. She walks him to a corner of the ballroom and takes out her stethoscope and checks him out:

    Kayla: Well, your eyes look fine. Where is it hurting you, Steve? All over?
    Steve: Yeah, Sweetness. It hurts all over. I bet you have the healing prescription, don’t you baby?
    Kayla: Stop joking around, Steve. There might be a serious problem.
    Steve: I’m fine, Sweetness. Don’t worry........about..........

    Just then, Steve suddenly slumps forward and almost faints. Kayla catches him and Bo races over to help her. They both pick him up and walk him to one of the back rooms so that he can rest.

    -It is now 11:30 pm and Celeste sees Hope, Billie, Samantha, Belle, Kayla, Maggie & Jack all huddled together. Stefano spots her walking towards the group and tells one of his top men:

    Stefano: Get everyone in place. We don’t have much time, yes?
    MCF: Understood, sir.

    While the Mysterious Cloaked Figure walks off to get all of Stefano’s men in place, Celeste walks up to the group, telling them that she senses something tragic is about to happen and that they don’t have much time to get everyone out. Kayla turns around briefly, long enough to see Steve walking over to them. She ask if he’s fine, to which he replies, yes. Jack wonders where Celeste is getting this from and she says has she been wrong yet? They all grow silent.

    Victor sees the MCF rush off and tells his associate:

    Victor: It’s time. Get everyone in place and tell them to be ready. I’m going to wipe Stefano DiMera out even if I have to destroy Salem to do it!

    Victor’s associate walks defiantly across the room and takes out his gun. Jack sees this and he, along with Steve, try to run the man down but he escapes into an elevator going to the upper floor, where Bo is at present. Jack and Steve rush back to the group and tell them to get as many people out of here as possible.

    11:39pm.

    Victor has disappeared. He is standing behind a thin wall, loading up his gun. Maggie has searched for him and found him, begging him to call this whole thing off. He demands that she leaves now or he won’t be responsible for her fate. She looks at him, shockingly, and runs off.

    11:45pm.

    Sami finds Roman, who has just loaded his weapon, and pleads with him:

    Sami: Daddy, please don’t do this. There are too many people who love you.
    Roman: I know that, sweety. That’s why I’m doing this. DiMera’s stranglehold on our families and this city must end....tonight. And if it costs me my life.........
    Sami: No! Don’t you say that to me! (Wiping tears from her eyes) I just found you again. WE just found you again. Don’t you stand there and tell me that your life means nothing to you because it means everything to me!
    Roman: (Quietly speaking) I know that. (Putting his hand on her cheek) You’re my angel. You know that. And.....you have your mother’s strength. So, you promise me this. If I should not live to see tomorrow .........
    Sami:(Crying heavily) No. Don’t say that.............
    Roman: Then you look out for your mother and sisters and brothers, ok sweety?
    Sami: (Pausing) O.......Ok. I’ll do it.

    Sami jumps into her father’s arms and Roman hugs her, warmly. It is a hug that is very deep and special, for they know.......

    That this may be the last time they see each other.

    Sami looks at Roman and they both smile at each other. She then wipes her face and runs off. Roman watches his little girl leave him for what may be the very last time. He then turns his attention back to the men in the ballroom and readies his weapon.

    -Doug and Julie see what is now happening and both go and get Kimberly and Alice and head towards the elevators. Once the door opens they get on and Kimberly looks back to see Shane loading his weapon. Their eyes lock for a brief, singular, moment and all of the memories come rushing back. The door then starts to slowly close as both Kimberly and Shane wave good-bye to each other.

    11:59pm.

    Then, suddenly, men start emerging from everywhere. Stefano’s men. Victor’s men. The partygoers that are left are almost surrounded. Victor orders his men into position and Stefano does the same. Roman, Abe & Shane pull their weapons and aim.

    10...............

    In slow motion, all of the following events take place..............

    Austin sees Kate standing by herself and tries to run over to her. At the last moment, a lady takes off her mask and Austin is shocked to see that it’s.............Carrie!

    9.................

    Hope, Maggie, and Belle try to drag Sami towards an elevator. But, she bumps into Marlena, who has just walked back into the ballroom, brandishing a gun!

    8..................

    Philip sees Belle and turns, suddenly, pulling out a gun and aiming it at one of Stefano’s henchmen. She watches on horrified.

    7..................

    Victor, Nico and Bo pull out their weapons and take aim, as Hope loses her grip on Sami as she breaks free before the elevator door closes.

    6.......................

    The MCF sees Sami running towards Lucas and takes aim at her! Lucas pulls his gun and run towards Sami.

    5.......................

    Steve spots one of Victor’s henchmen and knocks him out from behind. He then grabs his gun and runs next to Bo and then suddenly has another seizing pain in his head and stumbles into the line of fire, just as Billie pulls her gun out of her purse and takes aim at the MCF........

    Roman sees Marlena with a gun and he also sees her take aim............at him!

    3.........................

    Bo jumps down from the upper floor of the ballroom and sees Marlena aim at Roman. Just then, Belle hits Marlena on the back of her head and she collapses. Roman looks at Bo, who is now aiming the gun at the masked figure, not knowing it’s Stefano.

    2.......................

    At the very last moment, Victor shouts in Bo’s direction “NOW!!!” and Bo turns and re-aims his gun............at his brother Roman! At the same time, Lucas steps on a chair and leaps towards Sami.............


    1........................

    The clock strikes Midnight and, at the same time, Stefano yanks off his mask. Stefano, Victor, and Roman give the orders to..........

    Stefano: OPEN...........
    Victor: FIRE...........
    Roman: NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!

    There is a three-way frozen split screen on all three men’s faces, as gunshots ring out into the New Year night. The screen suddenly goes black, as Celeste lets out a blood-curdling scream!!

    TUNE IN NEXT YEAR BEGINNING TUESDAY............FOR THE SHOCKING CONTINUATION OF SALEM LIVES!!!

    Cal and Katherine are packing up at their suite. Katherine asks Cal if he is sure he wants to do this. Cal nods, saying there isn't much left in Salem other then the Toscano mansion. He says he will return to it someday but, for now, he is ok taking over the empire elsewhere. Katherine hopes he doesn't have any ill will for the Brady's and reminds him they are giving them a goodbye party. Cal thinks it's only because Carrie is getting one and they happened to just throw them into the mix when they heard they were leaving. Katherine thinks Cal is wrong but he insists he doesn't want to argue.

    Cal then takes Katherine in his arms and tells her he looks at this as their new start. It's an adventure and a great opportunity that he hopes will only bring them closer. Katherine smiles as they kiss, saying she hopes it's all that and more.

    -Upstairs at the Brady Pub, Carrie is packing her bags and thanks Caroline for leaving the police station early with her to help. Caroline says it's no problem as Chelsea was taken already anyway. Caroline tells Carrie she is going to miss her. Carrie insists she will be back soon and that she needs to do this...for herself and Evan. She thanks Caroline for letting her stay with her. Caroline says she is her granddaughter and she would do anything for her.

    Carrie looks at her bags and thinks she is all set. Caroline says they can go downstairs now where everything is set for her farewell. Carrie then tells Caroline to go ahead as she has something important she needs to do.

    -At the police station, Bo is still with Hope. He asks her again what is going on. Kayla, who is behind Bo, asks Steve what is wrong as he looks upset. Steve says he is fine, although he does have to go run an errand. Kayla asks what kind of errand. Steve tells her that he will explain later. He kisses her and says he needs to hurry. She asks him if everything is ok. He smiles, kisses her again, and says he is fine. He just needs to handle something important. He asks if she can get a ride with her brother. Kayla smiles and says it looks like she will have to.

    Hope is watching the scene between Steve and Kayla and realizes Steve is lying to Kayla so he can get to the airport. Bo asks Hope again what she was doing. Hope says she just was watching Chelsea get taken away and was thinking of how difficult this is for all of them. Bo agrees and thanks Hope for caring so much. He understands it took awhile for her to accept Chelsea but he is happy she has and that they have grown close. Hope agrees and they embrace.

    Hope then witnesses Steve and Kayla kiss and then Steve leaving. Hope pulls away from Bo and tells him she just remembered she forgot to give JT lunch money for day camp. Bo says they can drop it off together but Hope reminds Bo he doesn't know where it is and he needs to help his mother set up the Pub for the farewell parties. Kayla then comes over and asks for a ride since Steve left to handle something. Bo says he will take Kayla with him in a squad car and then Hope can go off to give JT his money. Hope thanks Bo, who gives her the car keys, and tells both him and Kayla she will see them later. Hope takes off as Bo asks Kayla if something felt weird to her. Kayla nods, saying Steve seemed distracted. Bo says Hope seemed the same. They both wonder what is going on.

    -On the island, a storm is moving in as Billie is chasing after Jack following their argument. Billie notices the storm coming in and yells out to Jack, telling him to stop this nonsense before the weather goes downhill. She is unaware of the big spider that is crawling up her leg. She calls out to Jack again but then jolts as the spider bites her just as she moves her leg. Billie sees the spider still on her and hits it off with a stick. The leg begins to hurt her but Billie says she will live, hoping it wasn't poisonous. She then continues on her way to find Jack.

    Meanwhile, Alexander is with his mother on the helicopter. He asks her why they are in a helicopter over the ocean and what their mission is. She tells him he will learn in due time. Alexander is sick of her being cryptic but his mother claims it's for his own good and that it will all be better when they reach their destination, which will be true. The pilot then tells them a severe storm is moving in and they are heading right into it. He won't be able to avoid it now as it moved much faster then anticipated. Alexander and his mother both look at each other with worry.

    -At the police station, Kate and Miranda continue to argue.

    Miranda: If the good people of Salem only knew of what you did to all of us. You being a hooker for people like Stefano Dimera is only the tip of the iceberg compared to what you did to me, to your own mother, to your own sister....your actions were appalling Kate and it seems some things never change. You deserve everything you get and more.
    Kate: You know what? I don't have time for this. Just leave me alone and go back to where you came from.
    Miranda: Nope. I have business here to handle and it looks like I will be here for the long haul.
    Kate: Great (rolls eyes). What business do you have here?
    Miranda: Can't say. I do have to go. Nice seeing you again, Katie. Wish I could say that and mean it. (laughs) Have fun being in misery!!

    Miranda leaves as a worried Kate wonders what Miranda is doing in Salem and what she may do to her at some point.

    -Back at the Pub, Marlena is sitting in a booth, sharing her worry concerning Roman with her. Marlena says Roman should be there as his daughter is leaving town. Caroline tells him he will make it. He would never miss saying goodbye to his daughter. Bo and Kayla then come by and greet everyone, followed by Lucas and Will. Once again, sympathies are expressed to Lucas and Will. Marlena tells Lucas she heard about his taking over Roberts INC today. She asks how his first day was. Lucas tells her it was good and provided a nice distraction. He could use some more work to keep busy. Will tells his father to take it easy. Marlena agrees, reminding Lucas it will all better in time for him.

    Kate then walks into the Pub, asking if it's ok she came. She would like to talk to Carrie before she leaves. Everyone looks at each other. Caroline nods, saying she can come in. Bo comments how they would rather have her then Nicole. Kate snidely says thanks to Bo. Caroline wonders where Carrie is as she has been gone for a long time. Kayla assures her that Carrie is fine and that she will be along soon. Caroline nods, saying she knows. She just tends to worry. Kayla smiles, saying she knows that firsthand being her daughter.

    Meanwhile, at St. Luke's cemetery, Carrie is visiting Eric and Sami's grave. She is telling them both that she just had to stop and say goodbye before going. She admits missing them and how different the world is without them in it. She hopes they are both having fun with Austin up there and tells them to tell Austin that she will be fine and that she is moving on...for Evan's sake. She asks them to pray for her as she struggles to go on and tries to succeed in life outside of Salem. She admits needing all the help she can get. Carrie also apologizes for the mistakes she made as they opened the door to everything happening.

    A voice from nearby calls out to her, telling her she isn't to blame. It's Roman!!! He tells Carrie it all falls on Orpheus and, in some cases, Stefano. Both men have tortured them for years. Carrie nods and then asks why he is at the cemetery. Roman says he visits Eric and Sami's grave everyday. It helps motivate him to accomplish ridding Salem of Stefano and Orpheus. Roman then asks Carrie if she thinks leaving is the right choice. Carrie thinks it is, saying it is all happening fast but it feels like she made the best choice, even thought she hasn't left yet.

    Roman goes to the grave and bends down to pay his respect to his children. He promises that their deaths will be avenged and that they won't be forgotten. Carrie seconds that notion. Carrie then looks at her watch and says she needs to be getting back for her party. She tells Roman to come with her as everyone is worried. Roman isn't sure he wants to be around people but Carrie reminds him she is leaving with Evan and doesn't know when she will be back so he should spend some time with them now. Roman understands and agrees, saying he will but she must help him keep people off his back, especially Marlena. Carrie says she will see what she can do. Both of them then look at the graves once more and pay their respects before leaving and heading for the Pub.

    -Back on the island, as the rain begins to come down, Billie is in visible pain, alternating between holding her stomach and leg. She calls out to Jack repeatedly but her screams are getting lower and lower until, finally, she passes out as the storm hits.

    -Back in Salem, Steve arrives at his gate just in time, noting how he shouldn't have taken the long way to the airport. he boards the plane and sits down, wondering how he will explain going to New Orleans to Kayla. Steve is unaware that Hope is sitting a few rolls back, covering her face with a newspaper and also wondering how to explain to Bo why she went to New Orleans.

    -Back at the pub, Frankie and Max are now there with Greta and Stephanie. Caroline is really worried about Carrie and is about to send Bo out to look for her when Carrie shows up...with Roman. Marlena embraces Roman, overjoyed to see him. Carrie is greeted by everyone at the Pub, along with Roman, and Carrie mentions how she just had to handle a few things before coming. Caroline is happy they have both come so now the party can start as Cal and Katherine are on their way and, hopefully, Steve and Hope are too. She is confident they can now have an amazing farewell party for her, Cal, and Katherine. Carrie smiles and then is shocked by someone she sees outside the Pub.

    Carrie sneaks out to take a look, hoping not to be seen by the person. She exits the Pub and yells out to the blonde woman running away from the Pub to come back. The blonde woman stops and turns, saying Carrie's wish is her command. It's Nicole!! Carrie says she knew she saw her from inside and asks what she is doing at the Pub. Nicole says she knew Carrie was leaving and just had to see her one last time to deliver a special message. Nicole shows a sinister smile as a curious Carrie looks on while the scene freezes on a split screen of Carrie and Nicole's faces and fades to black.

    Days' Kayla rolls back into Salem

    July 24 was a huge day for Days fans as Mary Beth Evans' Kayla Brady Johnson returned to Days and was revealed as Shane Donovan's (Charles Shaughnessy) stalker. "All the fans thought it was Kimberly (Patasy Pease)," says executive producer Ned Yadroc. "We wanted them to think that since it was logical. We want Kim back at some point but we are trying to work something out with Patsy and her health issues. Kayla was always intended to be brought back in this way. She is with us for good and we have big story planned for her." The big question now is-is Steve (Stephen Nichols) next? Rumors are swirling that he is the popular actor returning in the weeks ahead. "The fans will just have to wait and see. There is good stuff planned," promises Yadroc.

    In other news, Charles Shaughnessy will remain on Days on a recurring basis. "Shane will go back to London but we plan to use him frequently so we put him on recurring. He was ok with it," says Yadroc.

    Days has yet to announce that popular actor who has been dropped to recurring. An announcement is expected soon.

    OCTOBER 11, 2007: EPISODE # 348: TAKING IT TO THE MAT


    CHEATIN HEART

    Nicole sits at the bar, drinking a martini. She thinks about what happened earlier with Caroline, Jean, and Alyson and says that she is sick of Caroline meddling. She is sick of all the Brady's acting as if they can do no wrong when they are hardly perfect. Nicole mentions how they judge her and ostracize her when they act horribly at times too. She looks at the pictures of Eric and Evan she has laying down by her drink on the bar and says, with tears in her eyes, that she has already lost them. She isn't going to lose anything else.

    She looks at the picture of Eric and tells him she knows he would want Samuel with her and not some woman he had a fling with. He knows she would give him all that he needs. She promises him she will have to resort to measures he wouldn't like but she doesn't care. Nicole knows he would want his family to understand where she is coming from and to learn a lesson and finally accept her. Nicole is confident that will happen but says she has to do this her way, even if she knows Eric would not condone it. She then wipes the tears from her eyes and says she must act soon and she will begin with Caroline's children as she lives through them. Nicole promises they will see what hypocrites they are and will wish they never treated her as they did. Nicole asks for a refill and then tells herself that, at the very least, Caroline and the Brady's will be distracted enough not to worry about her going after Samuel. The bartender gives her the refill she requested and Nicole raises her glass for a toast, saying:

    Nicole: To revenge and to getting everything that I want. Better late then never, I always say!

    Nicole then downs the martini and smiles evilly.


    UNVERSITY HOSPITAL

    Alice and Julie are visiting Lucas in his room. Alice encourages Lucas to have faith and assures him it will all work out. Frankie is working on his case and he has the support of the whole Horton family. Lucas thanks both her and Julie for coming. Julie says they were shocked when Maggie called them. They are just glad he is alright. Will then returns with some ice chips for his father. Lucas thanks him. Julie asks how he is holding up. Will says it's hard with mom not being around anymore but he knows she would want him to be strong and to take care of dad. Lucas and Will embrace.

    Meanwhile, outside the room, Doug watches the scene going on inside. Julie tells Alice they better get going as it's getting late. Alice agrees. Lucas asks if they would please take Will home. Will wants to stay with Lucas but Lucas tells him that visiting hours are over and he doesn't want him staying overnight in the hospital. Will doesn't want to let on that he is afraid to be alone so he agrees to go home. Julie says they will happily take Will home. Alice, Julie, and Will embrace Lucas and say goodbye to him, reminding him they are there for anything he needs. Lucas thanks them.

    On the way out, Julie tells Alice she is shocked that Doug didn't stop by. Word of what happened to Lucas was all over the news. Alice is sure he has a good reason. Julie thinks it's because he knew she would be there. Will then asks if that is Uncle Doug in the distance. Will points toward the elevators. Julie and Alice look and Julie can see it's Doug. She races after him as he boards an elevator. Julie tells Doug she has been looking for him. She doesn't know how to contact him or where he is and since thinks they should talk. She asks if he still plans on leaving Salem.

    Doug is silent. Julie begs him to talk to her. Doug says he can't and he isn't sure he ever can again. He tells her he took a chance and came by to see Lucas but he saw her there with Alice and Will. He didn't want to interrupt. Julie tells him he should have came in. Doug tells her didn't want any trouble and asks if she will wish Lucas the best and to tell him he will be in touch. Julie thinks he should tell him himself. Doug tells Julie he has to go. Julie begs him to just give her a few minutes but the elevator doors close.

    Julie returns to Alice and Will. Alice asks if she is ok. Julie looks at Will and fights back tears, not wanting to make his situation worse. She lies and says she is fine. Will and Julie then stand on both sides of Alice and help her walk off as Julie hides the fact she is wiping tears from her eyes.

    Meanwhile, Joelle enters her mother, Elma's, room. Elma is on a respirator and is conscious but doesn't seem able to move. Just then, Joey enters and asks his mother how grandma is. Joelle asks where he came from. Joey tells her Mrs. Ellsworth dropped him off. He was so worried and wanted to know what was happening. He asked a nurse where to find her. Joelle smiles and hugs him, saying grandma will be ok very soon. She is just sick and not able to move. Joelle explains that the machine is helping her to breathe and is making her better. Joelle promises both Joey and Elma that she is taking care of everything and that they will finally have the break they have been waiting for soon. She promises them they will all have a better life...soon.


    OLD, DILAPIDATED SALEM CLUB

    Maggie walks around the old, dusty, worn down Salem Club. She recalls the bustling environment it used to be as Max walks down the creaking stairs to enter the club, asking if it's safe to be there. Maggie smiles and nods, saying she just had some people here to inspect the building and survey it. They told her it would be alot of work to get the place up and running. Maggie then tells Max that everything is taken care of. She combined some money Mickey left her with some Victor gave her and they have the place now. She just needs to get the proper permits and such. She tells Victor is going to help her. Max tells her he will help finance the work that is needed to get the place back into shape. Maggie tells him that will be great and they can use some of her savings if there is a need.

    Maggie tells Max she is hopeful they can get some people to work on this so they can have a February opening. Max thinks that is being optimistic. Maggie agrees but thinks it's possible. She admits having alot on her plate living with Victor now. She also explains that she and Victor have had their idea for a Memorial Wing in Sami and Eric's honor approved by the hospital. She urges him not to tell anyone as it's a surprise for his family and they will unveil it at a Gala Event next month. Max thanks her and says that is great. He figures Victor is doing it for his mom, though. Maggie admits she knows that is part of it but it's also a way for him to make peace with the Brady's and to help them get past all the tragedy of this year.

    Maggie asks him how he is doing. Max says he is fine. He has a few buyers for the garage so he should have some money from that soon. He adds that it's weird with Abby not around. Maggie says she knows and admits being shocked she took off to be with friends right after her father came home. Max says he wondered about that too and the fact that she was leaving therapy for awhile. Max notes that Forrest is also MIA too. Maggie asks him what he is thinking and Max says nothing since they can't be together. Jack would never allow Abby to go with Forrest alone out of town, although Abby is of age.

    Maggie tells Max she is sure Abby will be back soon and that there is nothing to worry about. If there was, they would know it. She tells him to follow her. She wants to show him how she wants to layout the club around the bar in the center. Max nods and follows her as they make their way around the club, surveying what they have to work with.


    UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL

    Lucas is almost asleep in his room when the sound of someone standing above him wakes him. He is shocked to see that it's Joelle and asks what she is doing. Lucas threatens to call security but Joelle says she comes in peace, at least this time. She just wanted to check on how he was doing. Lucas asks her how she thinks he is doing. He nearly died and then she sues him for sexual harassment. He asks why she is doing this. Joelle says she is just doing what she has to do and she is sorry it has to be this way. Lucas asks what that means.

    Joelle says she has to get back to her mother. Lucas asks her again what she meant by what she said. Tears stream down Joelle's face. She wipes them and turn turns around and tells Lucas she wishes him luck and that she will see him in court. Joelle leaves as a mysterious figure watches her as she walks to the elevator. The mysterious figure then looks in on a frustrated Lucas and then quickly moves away from Lucas's room and exits via the staircase.


    MALIBU, CALIFORNIA

    Abby exits the therapy room of the house. Dr. Dobbs comes out with her and tells her she did good and that they will pick up bright and early in the morning. Abby asks about her progress. Dr. Dobbs says her balance has improved and she is moving the legs so he is hopeful she will be walking, at least with the use of a crutches or a cane, soon. Abby thanks him for everything. Dr. Dobbs says it's what he does and bids her good night before walking off.

    Abby sees Forrest on the phone in the kitchen and can't help but wonder about the picture of the woman she found on the plane and about seeing him looking at it earlier and becoming emotional. Abby figures the woman must be a past love or maybe even a current one. She wonders if he could be talking to her right now. Abby wheels closer to the kitchen and hears Forrest talking. She is unaware that he is talking to Miranda.

    Forrest (on the phone to Miranda): Things are progressing quite well. I just have to wait for the perfect moment to act.
    Miranda: Have you even figured out a way to make her do it?
    Forrest: I told you I would.
    Miranda: That's reassuring. This is why I like mapping things out ahead. Forrest, I am warning you. You can't screw this up from your end because, if you do...
    Forrest: I know. I know what happens. It will all work out. We will complete the mission. Don't worry. No one has any clue what is going on. Abby is even in the dark and I am always around her.

    Abby hears this and is stunned.

    Forrest: It's all going well now that we are out of Salem. There is no one around to interfere.

    Forrest then turns and sees Abby right in front of him. Forrest interrupts Miranda and says he has to go. She asks if there is a problem. He lies and says there is nothing to worry about. He is just cooking something and needs both hands. Forrest then hangs up and asks Abby how long she has been standing there. Abby tells him long enough to know he is up to something and that all her friends and family were right. She asks Forrest what he wants with her. Forrest insists he just wants to help her and that he can explain.

    Abby wheels away to her room and locks herself in. She tells him she is calling the police. Forrest panics and yells for Dr. Dobbs. He orders him to disable the phone line. Dr. Dobbs asks why and Forrest tells him to just do it. Just as Abby gets through to 911, the phone goes dead. Forrest tells her he is not going to harm her and there is no need to call the police. He tells her to just come out. Abby refuses, saying she doesn't believe a word he says and the fact that he just disabled the phones in the house tells her he is dangerous. Forrest promises her that he is not but hears no response from Abby. He yells out to her and asks if she is ok as she lays her head on her bed and begins to cry, wondering why she didn't listen to everyone's warnings about Forrest.


    DEVERAUX HOUSE

    Jack arrives home and finds Billie sitting on the couch, reading a magazine. She tells him she has been expecting him.

    Jack: I've been looking all over for you.
    Billie: I doubt it.
    Jack: What's wrong? You seemed upset earlier when you called me.
    Billie: I'm fine, Jack. Don't worry.
    Jack: No, your not. I can tell. Your just saying that because you are a woman and you want me to figure all this out. Ok. Ok, I'll bite. Let me think. I left the toilet seat up again. Wait, no, we don't live together. Uh...
    Billie: Typical, Jack Deveraux. Making jokes at the most inopportune times.
    Jack: Ok. Whatever I did, I will make it up to you. How about we go out on that date? We can do it right now. Let's cash in that rain check and do it like we planned.
    Billie: I would like nothing more but alot has happened since this morning. Alex is your son.
    Jack: Right. I know. It's great. Much better then I thought it was going to go. We're already bonding and I thought for sure there would be tension and some awkward moments and...

    Billie puts her head down and turns away. Jack sees this and begins to realize what is going on.

    Jack: I just think...wait, is that what this is about? Are you jealous?
    Billie: Of you and Alex? No. I want you to bond with your son and have a relationship with him.
    Jack: Then, what's the problem?
    Billie: Are you really that...you know what, nevermind. Forget it. I think we should go on that date. I think it may help me feel better. At the very least, it will take my mind off things.
    Jack: Ok...well, let me go get a jacket. It's supposed to be a little chilly tonight.
    Billie: Ok. By the way, (smiling) what do you have in mind for this surprise date? (wrapping her arms around him)
    Jack: If I told you, it wouldn't be a surprise.
    Billie: Hmm...hurry it up, Deveraux.

    Jack races out of the room and into the coat closet near the kitchen. He looks through the closet and realizes he left the coat he is looking for outside. He goes out to get it and sees Alex in the backyard. Alex turns. Jack asks what he is doing there. Alex says he just wanted to look at a real backyard, something he didn't have growing up. His mom took him from one penthouse or townhouse to another. He never had the simply family home with a white picket fence. Alex explains to Jack it's the simpler things in life that seem the most important to him. He never could get in to the upper class lifestyle. Jack smiles. Alex looks at Jack and tells him he wants this life. He wants what Jack has. Jack looks at him, puts his arm around him, smiles, and tells him it's his.

    Meanwhile, inside, Billie is touching up her makeup when the doorbell rings. Billie yells out to Jack that she will get it and is shocked when she opens the door to find Elizabeth. Billie asks what she is doing there. Elizabeth says that Alex and her are there to see Jack. Billie asks where Alex is. Elizabeth tells her he is out back. He wanted to look at the yard. Elizabeth explains that Alex has always been a sucker for the lesser things in life. The things commoners seem to love and adore. Elizabeth asks if Billie is going to invite her in. Billie rolls her eyes and motions for her to come in, whispering:

    Billie: Do I have a choice?
    Elizabeth: I beg your pardon.
    Billie: You know what. I'm not even going to pretend to like you. Elizabeth, what are you doing here? Really?You and Alex were just with Jack for most of the day.
    Elizabeth: We had more that must be discussed.
    Billie: Now? Couldn't it wait until tomorrow? You just saw him. What could you possibly...
    Elizabeth: Do I sense an attack of the green-eyed monster? That is the expression you Americans use, correct?
    Billie: I had you pegged from the minute I met you.
    Elizabeth: You mean when you were dying from a spider bite on a deserted island and my son and I saved that overly sized ass of yours?
    Billie: Ouch. Well, let's be honest, shall we? You only did that because Jack was there. It was your way of showing him you were still that sweet, innocent girl he fell in love with years ago but you have clearly changed, haven't you?
    Elizabeth: We all change, Billie. Years of leading the lonely life I have...I've been transformed by them. I'm no longer the same naive, rich girl I once was. I understand life's hardships and struggles. I know that nothing comes easy. You have to fight for it in life.
    Billie: And that is what you intend to do. You intend to use every trick in the book to reclaim Jack.
    Elizabeth: Well, you said you weren't going to lie or pretend so I will follow your example. Your right, I do intend on reclaiming the man I love. You need to learn, my dear, that first loves are hard to get out of one's systems and, almost always, first loves find their way back to one another.
    Billie: What mushy romance novel did you read that bullshit out of?
    Elizabeth: Call it what you want. I believe it. However, I also believe in making things happen. One can't wait for things to be handed to them so I intend on using what I have to snare Jack and bring him back to my loving, waiting arms, where he belongs.
    Billie: Including using your own son.
    Elizabeth: Whatever means possible. Whatever I have at my disposal, I will use. I will do whatever I must. I'm in this for the long haul.
    Billie: Well, so am I. You may have had him first but he doesn't want you. He wants his son. He wants to bond with him. Jack will see through this eventually. He isn't stupid, although that can be debated sometimes. I will not let you use the son you two share as a way to latch on to Jack and never him go. I will fight you at every turn.
    Elizabeth: It appears a war has begun then. I guess you and me are now officially enemies.
    Billie: I thought of you as an enemy the minute I saw you.
    Elizabeth: So be it. May the best woman win. (begins to snicker) Funny.
    Billie: What?
    Elizabeth: I think we both know I already rank well ahead of you in the "best woman" department. I guess it was a poor choice of words on my part. It is a shame you can't use the talents you inherited from your mother to help you hold on to Jack.
    Billie: You...
    Elizabeth: Too bad those whorish talents won't be of use to you (laughs).
    Billie: Bitch!

    Billie hauls off and slaps Elizabeth.

    Billie: You have alot of nerve judging me when you are using your own son to further your own agenda. You make me sick. I can't see any man having use for a piece of trash like you.
    Elizabeth: Look who's talking.

    Billie slaps Elizabeth again. Elizabeth announces she has had enough and tells Billie she is going to show her what she is really up against. Elizabeth then lunges for Billie, tackling her to the floor. Both women go at it as they fight, scratch, and claw on the floor of the living room as the scene freeze frames on them struggling with each other and then fades to black.
