  1. I think Lakin and Rick Edelstein were TD's very best writers. Marland did not do his best work on this show, IMHO, but so many of its other writers were so much worse. I do wish I could evaluate DePriest's material again. Where is everyone watching TD reruns? Is the series available on youtube, vimeo, etc? I keep meaning to track it down and check it out.
  2. It has been more than 40 years, but as I recall, I personally did not appreciate DePriests writing on The Doctors very much. It could be that I was just comparing her to other writers of the 1970s (Bell on Y&R, Falken Smith on DAYS, Lemay on AW, Nixon and Washam on AMC, Slesar on TEON, Labine on LoL, etc.) and DePriest came off weak in comparison. But I do remember thinking that the writing for TD picked up under Marland. One critic later wrote, "Marland worked wonders with the garbage he inherited." I will say, however, that considering the horrible writing on all of today's soaps, I'll bet that if I rewatched DePriest's TD, I would love it in comparison!
  3. Awww, so cute! This workout even got me sweaty.
  4. Highly kissable!
  5. Damn, these videos are blocked due to "copyright restrictions" for me.
  6. Football pants are the Lord's gift to lovers of men. Don't get me started, I might never stop!
  7. Yes, yes, yes. Regardless of a man's (or woman's) technical good looks, smugness, arrogance and conceit can instantly turn a physically-beautiful person into someone quite unappealing. In real life, kindness, a sense of humor, loyalty, and sense of decency are the biggest turn-ons, no lie. Now you've done it! I am going to be up all night trying to decide which one I want most. It's Scarlett O'Hara and the Tarleton twins all over again! You love it and you know it. Don't pretend you're not a 'ho like the rest of us! That delivery guy can bring ANYTHING he wants, to my door. I will eagerly accept his package. (Oh wait, can that be taken two ways? )
  8. I notice you are not even trying to deny your unbridled lust!
  9. Wow, a lot of new posts recently, from various members. Everyone must be feeling...frisky!
  10. You have to SHARE. I need more than just the smokin' guy with the sexy eyes. I'd wear him out in less than 24 hours! I require at least one back-up babe.
  11. I freely bestow BOTH of them upon you. I will FORCE myself to make do with these two:
  12. That guy in the white T-shirt is just delicious. With all the ugliness confronting us in the real world, it's so nice to come here, to our own little corner of the internet, and escape the daily woes by ogling all the fine men! Torsos to die for! My dream date, Matthew Camp! Steamy Fireboys! Lifeguard on Duty! Affectionate Athletes! Whoa, Those Eyes! Loves to Tease! (I'll delete this next one if it offends anyone, but really: this is a beautiful photograph. )
  13. No comment necessary, LOL.
  14. I was such a soap fiend back then that I was a CBS fan...an NBC fan...and an ABC fan. I am overjoyed to see 1960s, 1970s and (certain) 1980s material from all networks. We do have a lot of CBS stuff from the 1950s on youtube (Love of Life, The Secret Sorm, etc.) and a lot of 1980s ABC stuff there too (GH), but I too would love to see more Y&R from the 1970s and '80s, DAYS and AW too. Still, I won't complain about ANYTHING vintage and rare that pops up anywhere.
  15. Right, I recently saw that some vintage AMC from 1981 has been uploaded to youtube. It's like Christmas in September!
  16. You should grab anything and everything "new" from the 1970s; it's ultra-rare and almost impossible to find anywhere. Or tell me where to look and I'll break the bank to get my hands on stuff like this. I feel almost drunk with excitement, woohoo! I spent the evening watching vintage ATWT from 1979 on youtube, wishing I could could see more soaps from that decade, which to me was the very best one for most soaps. Now I stumble across a 1975 Y&R, with several of my most-beloved characters like Leslie and Lorie! Life is good. I would literally buy every single episode available of Y&R from at least 1973 to 83.
  17. We sure do! And with only a handful of vintage eps available from the 1970s, seeing a rare Y&R gem like this is thrilling! Truth be told, I can't really sit through the present-day broadcasts of this once-fine soap, but I could watch classic (and classy) material from the 1970s until my eyes bled! Many people hoard their rare treasures like this, and never share them with other fans, so once again THANK YOU for being so generous!
  18. OMFG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you so much!
  19. Paul had left Oakdale, and was therefore off screen, when he died. The character was received well enough, but he never became one of the show's major players or most popular characters.
  20. Actually, there are LOTS of clips included, from the 1970s and early 1980s! Thanks for sharing!
