  1. It’s freaking unbelievable. I feel sooooo spoiled! And am eternally grateful to our secret benefactor. tapes were rather costly back in the day and stack up a lot of space: Many soap collector have clips or “best of’s” in their collection instead of full episodes; at least anything pre-2000s when tapes got cheaper/the DVD came into fashion.
  2. She first brought them along for that Hollywood Heights series no one ever cared for; except for SONY who then shipped them over to Y&R to cause massive destruction to the few things MAB got right.
  3. It's odd: I had the exact same feeling when over at B&B Brad Bell suddenly decided by 2006 that Brooke has always been Ridge's lady of affection when Taylor&RIdge were super stable for a long period before and made a much better couple - also because it also took Brooke down by being with Ridge. Same with Phyllis on Y&R...
  4. He also served as script writer on Y&R https://www.imdb.com/name/nm3265259/
  5. I whole heartedly agree. Jill vs Gloria could have been much more fun than it ever was - playing these angles. By 2005 the writers really stopped caring for Jill, the Ji-Min story worked due to the actors but apart from That, it was either a collossal waste of Jess Walton’s time and talent or a criminal track record of ill-fated plots: Cane, Sista-Lauren, Colin. Don’t get me wrong: TEB and Tristan Rogers are both amazing in their own right but these plots were so hideous and hastily thrown together...
  6. Oh really!? Never knew that Randy Holland started as an actor... there’s quite a lot Y&R writers then who did. Very interesting!
  7. B&B did a smiliar story 2 years later with Bill Spencer and his STUD centerfold. It was hilarious as well.
  8. Just seeing Jill & Kay within 15 seconds into an episode reminds of the GOLDEN DAYS...
  9. It seems like #773 is the first episode where JAMES E: REILLY is credited as consultant. Both Y&R and B&B had consultants around this time (out of the blue because they didn't before and had non later for 10+ years) - maybe it was a CBS deal?
  10. They have now picked several 1986 episodes, yet they have not chosen anything from then Shawn buries Lauren alive story!? Stunner... Still super cool that they continue to dig into their archives.
  11. Colleen Dion was such a great assett to the show back in the early days. Felicias wardrobe was unique, she had personality (in a good way) - i didn’t care for the Zack story in 1992 but liked her 2004 return.
  12. I guess i's alwayssubjective what is interestiong or not. Considering that Y&R has been REALLY digging into the archives we owe hem nothing but gratitude that they mostly refrained from choosing 2010+ episodes which is super cool. That said, I also do not understand why they have not shown a lot of no-brainers (yet?) - e.g. big stars' debut episodes, Who shot Victor?, Jack leaving Victor for dead in the TGVN office, the 90s primetime specials....
  13. This is such a blessing. What a treat to get the chance to relive all those early episodes. And I said it before: the picture quality is soooo much better than on VHS. I love it!
  14. I liked that set and all it’s incarnations. Originally, it was Victors penthouse set, I think.
  15. IMO not true but especially around the Carmine story someone at CBS decided to make them a stale couple that has to exist - this killed these characters. Apart from that they still could be highly enjoyable and were before 2014 (?) I cannot remember whether Jana was on the show a couple of weeks before LML or whether she was brought on particularly by her. Anyway; Jana was ONE of the very last classic Y&R characters which got a backdoor introduction as a waitress and eventually became a proper multidimensional character. Emily OBrian was really good (I loved her accent) - and just hearing her name brings back some good memories. Kevin was as played out as Jana when she was offed.
  16. Wow - for Monday and Tuesday. Mindblowing choices - that’s what you should show during such a theme week!!!
  17. I think these B&B classics are shown On a digital cable channel - and the Videoland (Web Service uploads where we get the videos from) uploads are merely complementing these broadcasts.
  18. It’s in his signature... you have to view it on Laptop, though. Signatures are not shown on the mobile version of the SON board, I think
  19. Not toooooo exciting stuff but still decent, I guess. they should have added some classic Michael Baldwin with either the leather romp with Phyllis in 1997 (?), his attack on Christine (1993?) or some stuff from Dianes divorce from Victor (1998)
  20. You're definitely not alone. I was super stoked when I discovered the Marek Logan channel and was able to see 1989 and 1990 for the first time in its almost entirety. And with Amy Silence I could fill 1988 plus the following years without any distraction from the Polish voiceovers... A dream come true! The only longer period of B&B that i haven't seen is May-October 1992. I'd love to see 1993-1996 (when I origianlly started watching) again as well but have some rather vivid memories of it.
  21. Wooohooo! THANKS! Gracias! MERCI! Danke! That's an unexpected treat - and it seems like the original closing credits are included.
  22. Has AmySilence deleted her GoogleDrive? Maybe she got copyright strikes tehre as well?
  23. All sounds soooo good. And there is some follow-up with most episodes unlike the previous weeks. Love it!
  24. I own all the B&B books: The Bold And The Beautiful: A Tenth Anniversary Celebration by Robert Waldron (informative in the same style of the Y&R book by Barbara Irwin and Mary Cassata) The Bold and The Beautiful – In Celebration of 20 Years on Television by Eva Demirjan (an amazing labor of love!) Becoming Bold and Beautiful – 25 Years of Making the Most Popular Daytime Soap Opera by David Gregg and Adrian Aviles (more glossy pictures than content) Plus the PEOPLE Magazine Special Edition for B&B's 30th anniversary For Y&R it is: The Young and the Restless: A Special Silver Anniversary Collector's Edition by Barbara Irwin and Mary Cassata(1998) And I've seen the GH and DAYS (???) books from the mid-1990s which were all really high-content and quality - like the ones for B&B and Y&R
