  1. -- Glad I was wrong about the Cody/Mac reveal would be a fake-out. Both John J. York and Josh Kelly played those scenes well. The Maxie/Cody scenes were good, too. -- GH is trying WAY too hard to tell us that Gio, Joss, and Trina are 21. How many beers do they have to open and carry around? The dialogue about the 4th of July in Bensonhurst was beyond dreadful. That conversation could not have been more boring.
  2. Very nice. I don't want him wasted on Leo.
  3. I had to LOL at the lack of crowd shock/surprise when Gabi spilled the beans on EJ. Shouldn't there have been complete chaos with that announcement? Instead, nothing.
  4. I think that's another soap fake-out. In the previews, Mac is heard saying "What did you say?" I think Cody then changes what he said, and that's why we see Maxie saying "Why did you lie?" to someone -- who I think is Cody. They need to stop dragging this out.
  5. You know, I think Hope is even worse than Liam. Minutes after her soul-crushing argument with Thomas, she made goo-goo eyes at Finn. Sis is a therapist's dream. I hope dumb-as-a-box-of-hair Finn falls for her.
  6. So wait -- Drew's campaign for Congress hasn't even begun and already he's messing around with a married woman? LOLOL Quartermaine, indeed.
  7. I posted that yesterday, and I was right. It's typical BOLD writing -- stupid and worthless. I wish someone could give me ANY defense or explanation for Hope's refusal to marry Thomas even though she "wants to be with him." In what universe does this make any sense?
  8. Yeah, that actor is hot, but he's wasted on Leo. I don't want to see Leo in SCREAMING GAY QUIPS mode while he drools over another shirtless hunk. I don't find it funny or clever. That is not comic relief to me. I like Greg Rikaart as a human. I hate the Leo character with a passion. I don't think Ron C has ANY interest in turning Leo into a character I want on my TV screen.
  9. nuTate isn't a bad actor. He just isn't Tate. He's too old for the role -- or, I should say, for the writing. DAYS failed this actor by not SORASing the character. I don't think there's a way for ANY actor to make this stuff work.
  10. I don't know whether to thank you or to be hurt that you forgot me for almost an hour. But to the important thing....was Carson sunbathing in the nude? Is that a towel covering those delicious peaches?
  11. I'm not defending this show, because I think it's total crap, but I think Thomas asking Hope to marry him is a fake-out. He's calling her bluff because he KNOWS she's again -- stupidly and illogically -- going to say no. All this does is make "heroine" Hope look even dumber and more ridiculous. And yes, Paris is wooden to the max. There's nothing natural about her acting or the way she interacts with Thomas. It's painful to watch.
  12. Your post and every other post here are exactly why this storyline has me so angry. It's a misfire on every level. You have a dated, ridiculous story that makes little sense in 2024, and then have your "good guys" give speeches railing against homophobia. Gee, where's the character who adds "Some of my best friends are gay"? Just gag me.
  13. Who knew??? I mean, who DIDN'T know? LMAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
  14. Even though it's "only Sonny" who's going in hard against Ava for this while "everyone else" is rightly attacking Natalia, I'm not happy with how this stuff is being written. Giving a voice as large as Sonny's the power to say "This is Ava's fault" gives an awful imbalance to all of this. Yes, Kate Mansi was wonderful in her Natalia takedown, but I think the writers wanted us to UNDERSTAND Natalia when she blamed her growing up. No, Natalia, you're asking me to tolerate your intolerance. Hard pass. Maxie and Brook Lynn are "on the right side" here. Still, their dialogue seemed strident and lecturing to me. It was too on the nose, too getting hit right on the head. It was GH attempting to send the right message -- after creating a creaky, dated storyline where a singing star would be canceled for being gay/outed. I hate the whole thing. The Deception office talk (with Maxie, Brook Lynn, Lois, Scotty, and Lucy) did not work for me. Maybe I'm just pissed off at everything at this point and can't appreciate the good stuff. I don't want to hear "We have to pause Blaze's Deception" campaign so that we can then hear righteousness from the leaders who can choose not to pause it. I don't want to hear fake outrage about the gay singer created just so "good people" at Deception and elsewhere can say something nice about gays. As I said, I hate the whole thing. While I'm complaining, I'll add that I don't like Jacqueline Grace Lopez as Blaze. I just don't think she's very good.
  15. -- Matt Atkinson is such a good-looking guy, but the grooming on him is bad. Really bad. -- Brooke is permitted to seem her old powerful self for a couple scenes -- then it's back to sounding like the mother who has no idea how to parent. Her talk with Hope was filled with "If you had the chance, would you still be with Thomas? Do you still want him? Do you love him?" Why the hell isn't she telling her daughter to move on instead of asking her irrelevant questions? -- Hope's hysterics will never not be funny to me. She LOVED LOVED LOVED Thomas but didn't want to be engaged to him. Huh? Who thinks this is logical? Has the idiot ever heard of a long engagement?
  16. -- I really don't agree with your point about international audiences, and I highly doubt Brad Bell is doing any of this for a reason. -- Carter was like a robot in that scene, and it was hard to watch. Paris wasn't any better, and seeing a real relationship between her and Thomas is difficult. -- Still, Hope is HILARIOUSLY bad. She's immature and entitled beyond belief. The girl needs shock therapy for being such an idiot.
  17. This "writing a soap" stuff is embarrassing. I guess Ron C thinks being this meta is clever and hilarious, when it's neither.
  18. That's true. But seriously -- if you read about this in the news (in real life), would you think it was a bad look for the center? GH is writing a gay-positive story and decides to make the LGBTQ+ center this narrow-minded? With this much lack of understanding about people who are closeted?
  19. It's a scandal when your girlfriend's mother is a hateful bigot?
  20. Or actual storylines for those conglomerates and characters. All these people do is switch companies and executive chairs and rename companies. We have no idea what any company does or what any exec. does. Oh, excuse me, I forgot about Daniel's video game. When there's a new merger or new company name, they never give either time to succeed or fail. It's on to "Who's the new CEO?" These board meetings are maddening. They stand around in Lily's tiny office -- no notes, no recording secretary, no formal procedure. It's all a farce.
  21. The LGBTQ+ center is an afterthought. The show doesn't give a damn about what it means -- it's just a plot device thrown in that can and will be easily thrown out. Performative? Any center like that should realize that people come out on their own timeline. They shouldn't be forced out, and they shouldn't have to avoid relationships because they're in the closet. And now we're going to see AVA catch all the heat for the Natalia recording, when Natalia was the hateful bigot??? Speaking of that recording, that was more awful writing. Natalia called gay people "flighty" and not serious? No, Natalia is a vile homophobic b.itch, not someone who has so little understanding of gay people.
  22. Kristina is being canceled and dumped from the center because she went along with Blaze being in the closet? I'm sorry, this is ridiculous writing.
  23. Deacon can't even pronounce the name of his own damn restaurant.
  24. Mansi was great, but I still have no time for Kristina's pity party. She knew exactly what she was getting into, and all three of them -- Kristina, Molly, and TJ -- were stupid and foolish for doing this surrogacy.
