I'm good with that, as long as you also cut me some slack because of the foul mood I'm in LOL There's so much about GH that is "off its rocker" that I have no words. I find myself paying attention to things like Sonny showing up at the Metro Court pool in a suit and hearing Joss tell Gio "You're doing such a good job" while all he does is fold and hand out towels.

It was very soapy, which is why I questioned that post. I understand having a different impression, but as you said yourself, "Any position, supported by one's interpretation is potentially a welcome one." I didn't see anything in that post supporting its position. It said Mulcahey threw in the towel and Korte and Frank were running amok. It said the episode was dated and frenetic. I said "With all due respect" and noted that I didn't understand the comments. Essentially, I asked for that support you mentioned. I then threw shade at Mulcahey, which you know I've been doing all along. I've never seen the evidence that he was turning things around at GH or that everyone else was the problem when he was there. I've never seen the evidence that he works as Head Writer. It's just absurd -- in my opinion -- to believe that all good things in the past few months were Patrick Mulcahey's doing, while everything that didn't work was someone else's fault or because he was ignored.

I doubt it, too, Paul. It all seems like off-the-cuff-spur-of-the-moment writing with Josh Griffith. We don't know ANYTHING about Audra, including what she does at these companies she works for. And now we're getting ANOTHER return to pitting Adam as the outsider in his father's company. How many times have we seen this? Victor has never been able to articulate a reason for any of it. Why? Because no explanation would work.

You didn't miss much, but if you like watching bad acting (which I sometimes do because trainwreck), the scene with Sonny and Kristina is special. Maurice Benard did another "I'm gonna fly off the handle like a mafia king!" and it was priceless. Soooooo bad LOL I'm OK with TJ being a total dick. That's much better than the vanilla nothingburger he was before.

I agree that Zuleyka Silver has been very good as Audra, but the writing for her is all over the place. Since she isn't really attached to anyone in town, I think a character like her is in danger of not lasting. Does she really like Tucker, or any guy? We have no idea. All we know is that she wants to "run a company," even though we don't know what that even means.

Abby doesn't get enough story for me to care that much about her. I know many here dislike Melissa Ordway, but when she gets story, she's fine. When Abby isn't included in family drama, that's on Josh Griffith. Of characters who don't appear much at all, I'd get rid of Mariah and Tessa before Abby. Those characters are complete wastes.

So Carter asks Katie how she feels about Bill having a daughter with Poppy. Are you kidding me with this? She's still "processing it"? Carter should be telling her it has nothing to do with her effing life, not indulging her to make sure she's ok. This all happened before Bill and Katie were ever a thing, and regardless, Katie should have stopped caring about Bill LONG ago. Also trash: All those scenes with Finn and Hope. Every one.

-- I thought Michael Easton was good in those scenes on Gregory's last day, but that was hard to watch today. Just didn't work for me at all. That was bad. -- Liz & Jason just work together. Becky Herbst elevates every scene she's in, which means she makes Steve Burton better. I'm not a SB fan, but I'm good with him when he's with her. -- Kirsten Storms continues to look really good, and I think Chad Duell got ahold of her Ozempic doctor. -- The Twitter criticism of Tabyana Ali is RACISM, period. As if an interracial story isn't enough to stir up the racists, Tabyana is dark-skinned -- which incenses these vile bigots even more. Their ignorance and hate are heartbreaking AND disgusting.

I know he's young, but damn, Mazza is adorable. That interviewer from Soap Central? Terrible. Couldn't be worse.

2024 Daytime Emmys Live Discussion Thread
Emmy thoughts: -- The ratings are actually very good, and streaming also did very well. Should mean we get another network broadcast next year. -- The show didn't look expensive, but I wouldn't call it a bad looking production, either, and iT was pretty much glitch-free. -- I didn't like the choice to show a clip of the winner after the winner was announced and before the speech. Just odd, and the momentum was lost. -- Both Lead Actor wins were a major bummer for me. I don't think Michelle Stafford deserved that trophy, and for the life of me, I will NEVER understand Thorsten Kaye's win. Just a joke. -- The segment with Melody Thomas Scott and Edward Scott getting awards was special, and I appreciated that the Emmys didn't shortchange them with two minutes. That was done with the audience in mind. Too many times in the past the show has been helmed by people who don't care about daytime. I loved the shots of Joshua Morrow and Amelia Heinle during that segment. -- Camera shots were great all night. I enjoyed seeing all the soap stars there, dressed up and looking fine. -- As usual, much of the presenter banter was cringe. Some intros (like the cooking segment) were beyond awful. -- I agree with everyone else about Frank Valentini. He's clearly loved by his cast, but on awards shows he comes off as a psych ward patient. -- When Dan O'Connor accepted the writing award for GH, I thought he threw shade when he mentioned the show "drawing 2 million viewers a week." Those of us paying attention know that GH has been UNDER 2 million for a month -- since he was fired. I think his words were deliberate.

DAYS: June 2024 Discussion Thread
Just awful. All DAYS cares about is getting any episode's taping finished. Doesn't seem to matter what it looks like -- whatever is easiest and cheapest works best. And we had to wait for Ron to return for this Konstantin wrap-up? For THIS??? How can it be satisfying when Maggie could have gotten rid of Konstantin months ago? Make it make sense. And Theresa the hoe bag is just going to skate on by and not be mentioned as a partner in crime? Uh...ok. I also find it ludicrous that Alex would be fine with Theresa being his one-and-only just seconds after finding her with Brady bodily fluids all over her.

I complain a lot about GH. I mean, A LOT. But I agree with you about DAYS vs GH. I expect so much more from GH, and I can see that happening. DAYS? It's just embarrassing in so many ways, and If I had to drop either DAYS or GH, I'd drop DAYS in a minute. I had hopes that DAYS would look better and get better after Alarr was fired, but that never happened. Janet Spellman-Drucker has not made even a single mark on the show. Not one.
