  1. I did that during the last half hour of GH.
  2. Yeah, you're right. I screwed that up. My point still stands.
  3. Yeah, I'm not seeing it either. There is zero callback to their days on Sunset Beach. I don't know who thought this was a good idea.
  4. OH. MY. GOD. I love it when camera operators know what they're doing!
  5. Fun interview....thanks. Do you think Lou is straight? Because I don't think he is.
  6. I love all you guys, but these lists of who you want to cut have my head spinning. When I look at these lists, I see GH being gutted, and I really don't know what you want to see on our screens. It feels like you're making cuts without regard to how those characters play with other characters on the show. I have complained constantly about the bloated cast on GH. If a character is mentioned as one who could be dropped -- like Finn or Drew -- I can agree. But these long lists? I cannot picture what the canvas would look like if those cuts happened. I feel qualified to complain, but fixing this is above my pay grade. I know that something should be done, but I don't know what.
  7. Are you serious with this? This is your idea of good casting on a soap?
  8. I didn't! Thanks for the heads up! They both look REALLY good.
  9. Who is all of that food at the wedding for? There's no one there.
  10. Since some of us appreciate cake, Carson Boatman fills out the jeans quite nicely.
  11. LOL That's true. I guess Victor got her a manicure, too. Her painted nails look perfect.
  12. -- Shouldn't Jordan be an absolute mess in that jail cell? Instead she's wearing lipstick and a ton of eye liner. -- Nikki is out of rehab already??? Are you frickin kidding me???
  13. I'm sorry, but it's absolutely nuts to me that GH would get rid of Maura West while keeping at least two dozen actors who can't even be called mediocre.
  14. That wallpaper screams HOMEOWNER MISTAKE. It's as if someone said "It looks too bare and empty in here, so let's do some wallpaper!" Then they chose something pretty from a 4"x5" swatch. The trouble is, it looks hideous across the entire room. I don't remember that Quartermaine entrance EVER looking good. Every makeover was in need of another makeover.
  15. I don't know, nothing about the Nate/Audra pairing gives me lasting new couple vibes. Just feels like Josh Griffith decided to throw attractive people together for a little while. Worse is that the "business story" stuff continues to be awful. No one does any work. We never see any products or hear about what they do. All we get is board member infighting about changing the name of the company and about who's in charge. None of it works, none of it makes any sense.
  16. Glad to know that Chancellor Park ice cream lasts an entire episode.
  17. For me, the problem was giving Gregory an illness like ALS -- one that is debilitating and ugly, and like Alzheimer's, can be a long goodbye. No, daytime audiences do not want to see that devastation on twayheir screens, but it's a cheat to end it the way GH ended Gregory's life. I do agree with others who are pretty much unaffected by this death. I just don't care all that much.
  18. Agree with you about Easton. After the early scene where Finn found his dead father -- which was very good -- the show lost all emotion and was flat. And I still say GH took the easy way out with Gregory's death. I know the audience doesn't want to see the complete devastation of ALS, but this was kind of ridiculous. He had trouble breathing...and then he died. OK then.
  19. It's definitely worth the effort, because it's a staple of daytime. You cannot be saying that soaps need to stay away from romance/sex because it might not work.
  20. In what world -- in what area of entertainment -- does this make ANY sense? Love scenes have been a staple of film and television since they came into existence, and in literature for hundreds of years. Actors who refuse to do those scenes need to leave any medium where performing those scenes may be required. Go do children's theater or find another line of work. I am sick and tired of this being portrayed as softcore porn. We're not asking for that. And no, we're not FORCING actors to do anything. Dex wants to be a police officer. Should the actor be able to say he doesn't want to film scenes where he's holding a gun, or where there's violence? Where does this "actor's choice" stop?
  21. Exactly. I still can't believe I got to the 50-minute mark of that wedding episode thinking "This is actually good," and then had to sit through 4 minutes of crap -- better known as "an emotional song from a darling child" by production.
  22. Here's the thing. Brook Lynn and Chase have been fed to us a a real romance, a storybook romance. We have the right to expect certain things on our screens -- including a connection that is loving and sexy and genuine. We're not getting that. We're getting brother/sister/friendship vibes, and that makes this relationship a fail. Would this couple play differently if we got a real daytime romance that was loving? That showed a couple with passion? We'll never know as long as actors are allowed to call the shots. Honeymoon night. They couldn't even put Brook Lynn in a sexy silk robe. Instead she was completely overwhelmed in a giant plush terrycloth robe that she could not pull up any further or she'd cover her mouth.
  23. Since when do our opinions have anything to do with what production has issues with? Should we stop talking about the writing mess because "production at GH seems to have no issues" with it? Steve Burton has been criticized PLENTY over the years for his supposed refusal to go shirtless and to do sex scenes. It's clear that Burton gave in more on DAYS -- more bed scenes, more shirtless/tank top scenes. That means GH has allowed him to call the shots completely -- and that, too, is wrong. Still, Steve Burton is a bigger daytime star than Amanda Setton. Big stars get more say. Amanda Setton -- in my opinion -- is the problem here. She's not so good that she can't be easily replaced. I just feel that Josh Swickard is covering for her.
  24. No one's asking for "simulated sex," although I realize using phrases like that helps your narrative. What Swickard and Setton are doing is MILES different from what we've seen on daytime for DECADES. Stop acting like we're asking for full frontal nudity. You don't approve of firing them? Fine -- then let's "take the character in a different direction," the staple used by daytime since forever. I'm sorry, but it's just beyond ridiculous that these two actors will not do anything resembling a love scene.
