I thought Chris McKenna did just fine with the material. Not sure what anyone wanted or expected. I've heard people think the Brennan character isn't long for this world, but I doubt that CK would sign for only a few episodes.

Honestly, I don't think Lucky has been relegated to B level. I don't think this show knows how to write anything above B level. What exactly is A level on this show? I'm not seeing it anywhere.

I love looking at him, but that was hilarious, especially with that music that accompanied it LOL Is Steffy's plan to have Hope and Carter sniff Daphne every day? Brooke's never working, but in all fairness,neither is anyone else. Oh, except for Zende, whose designs we never see. Yeah, that's a bust. And did Crew Morrow lose weight? I was hoping he'd bulk up a little more and instead he looks like a twink. I was hoping for a twunk.

So now Nate has two huge sofas and a huge ottoman in his living room? I've never seen a set redecorated so many times in my entire life.

That is the only saving grace.

Another DREADFUL Body & Soul episode. I mean, it can't get any worse. B&S is run by idiots and written by an idiot, and the entire cast is people off the street who announce they're quitting every other day. These actors must have been horrified getting those scripts.

I've read multiple times that MB hates the black hair, implying that production forces it on him. Considering all the power he wields at GH, I have a really hard time believing that. If he truly wanted to go gray, he would. This is the PERFECT summary of the Brook Lynn pregnancy mess.

All I can tell you is that the finger snap and the neighborhood comment were the last two elements of the Grammys promo.

Now THAT'S how to shove it in there! The body, the spit, the swag, the look, the vibe -- it's all there.

I saw TWO promos during the Grammys broadcast. No new material, but one promo was recut to include both the "Welcome to Fairmont Crest! finger snap and "See you around the neighborhood!"

I maintain that Daphne is the most ridiculous character in years on the soaps. No actress could save this, but this one has me LMAO because she's so bad. -- Steffy is a piece of work, but why is Hope baiting her and pushing her buttons? She's as dumb as a box of hair. Steffy doesn't need to be reminded every day that Carter is in charge. -- Shouldn't Poppy be angry that no one will tell her where Luna is? Instead they have her begging for answers and crying. -- Finn's first words when he looked at the blood test were "I'm a father!" I mean, you cannot write more hysterical writing! -- Still waiting to hear $Bill's longterm plan for Luna. Does she hide there for 50 more years?

My bad. I didn't read the articles before posting, assuming he'd been replaced. Have to agree. It was not a good show. Unfortunately, all this talk we've been having over the short scenes makes it seem even worse once you watch it.

-- I'm a Chris McKenna fan, so I'm happy for him. Still, I had no problem with Charles Mesure, and I wonder how he pissed off Frank. -- The football stuff continues to be god-awful. I cannot believe how terrible it is.We can tell what kind of person Kai is because of the way he extends the blitz on the football field? Are you kidding me with this? And blaming Trina because she cared about her "project"? All of this sucks. -- And regardless of the timeline, seeing Kai in that hospital bed for an entire week of shows is really pathetic.

My Xfinity grid advances only 2 weeks ahead, to Feb. 16. It'll be a while before BTG shows up.

Except that is disproven when we look at the movies and television, both network and streaming. I'm aware of all the talk about short attention spans -- I've been hearing it since MTV first aired in 1981. I realize social media has changed things with TikTok and Instagram. I just don't think the soaps need to go to 15 minutes because young people aren't watching. Face it, they're not going to watch "our soaps" at 15 minutes either. BOLD has a smaller cast and its runtime is about 17 minutes. Just about no one would call BOLD better than the 60 minute soaps these days. I get your point. But when we see a dozen (or more) of these very short 20-second scenes in an episode, it doesn't work. They're not doing it to grab attention, and none of it is memorable to the point of calling it well-written or well-directed.

EXACTLY what I'm talking about. It's absolute madness. It's beyond any sense of going shorter to keep things moving. Soap operas aren't TikTok. Do you know of ANY movies filmed this way? ANY primetime television series? Cartoons for kids do a better job than this.

I'm not even asking for 3-minute scenes. I'm asking to extend those 20-second scenes into 40 seconds or a minute. That would be a huge improvement over what we're getting now.

It's nuts. That entire scene with Bill pouring his sad, gloomy past to Luna in that depressed gravelly voice was beyond embarrassing. The guy needs therapy. And he trusts Luna??? It's another new low for this show. Every time Daphne enters the room, everyone there has to tell her how wonderful and how enchanting she is while behaving as if they're under some spell. Would this work with someone who was a better actress? Who wasn't a bad actress? PLEASE tell me they're punking us with this mess.

-- All these 20-second scenes are on my nerves. None of it breathes. -- Does Cody's place smell like horse? -- Why is the Corinthos gym so empty all the time except for the couple characters having an argument? -- The hospital set is so underpopulated that it's sad. -- Kai is STILL in the hospital? And no visits from family or friends? -- The coming up clips at the end of the show are increasingly useless.

I'd love for BTG to return us to the time of no spoilers. None. Make everything a surprise. That "Welcome to Fairmont Crest" with the finger snap at the end was sooooo good! Chef's kiss!

Thanks for the pre-emption update. I did have to LOL at that "German set" for Carly and Brennan. It looked like an extension of the Q mansion patio. Oh, and Diane's latest bad wig was also a howl.
