  1. -- I see no sign of improvement yet. -- The kids are too old, but they're decent actors, so I'll go with it. This show has a lot of age problems. Hard to understand the thinking. -- Many have complained about Derek, but for me, Ashley is no better. Just vanilla lameness in every respect, and there's no way Andre should be interested in her boring ass. -- Derek being delivered to the hospital by another fireman and not by EMTs was hilarious. And he gets a room right by the front desk? LOL -- Eva is getting so attahed to Miss Nicole. Mama Silk Press is not gonna be happy.
  2. You cannot be serious. That gambling set is weak. Looks like a backroom in a rundown building. I'm not sold on Lindstrom either. I can't see a big time player/mobster being interested in this REALLY dumb doctor. Agreed. Sex on a stick.
  3. This is really disappointing, although why should we surprised DAYS would take the easy and cheap way out? Ron's stories are the problem. He wasn't writing the dialogue, so how does that get better? I thought we were done with Carlivati in April. Now we have more MONTHS of his garbage?
  4. Javi is cute as hell and has a rockin' body, but it's all wasted with Leo. There's no chemistry there. None. Hearing Javi mention Leo's "extravagant" accommodations at the Salem Inn was laughable. That place is a frickin dump and looks like cockroaches have set up a camp.
  5. Having Aiden walk through the room and out the front door just isn't enough, though. GH has yet to make Aiden a real character. It's a missed opportunity. I also think it's a miss to have Laura interrupt Liz and Lucky. We've seen that happen so many times before , and I think it's a soap cliche that's tired. I think we've waited long enough.
  6. It's like they're punking Kimberlin Brown. Of course, I guess I could say the same about every actor on this slop of a show.
  7. Yeah, that had me howling -- and then Sheila called Luna a bad seed. I mean, seriously? So bad, although I guess that's better than watching Finn emote. Don Diamont should sue Brad Bell. If you hired a writer to decimate a character, this is what you'd get. It was, but why the hell was Poppy so bright and chipper when she walked into Li's office? There's no way she should have ANY "good mood" vibes considering all she knows. Not just a crime -- multiple murders. It's just another signal to ignore any and all plot developments on this show, because they can be wiped away in seconds without consequences. At least now maybe we'll be done with that sickening cry face on Luna. Maybe she'll have time to get her hair cut, because I hate that, too.
  8. And he was absolutely terrible. That's one of the worst cameos I've seen in forever, and my mouth was open at how awful all of it was. Why not give work to a REAL actor instead of doing this -- something that adds nothing to the show? This kind of bad stunt casting adds no viewers. All it does it make me stare at the screen and wonder how this ever made it to air. The guy gave line readings that could not have been worse while having a fakeass smile plastered to his face. Sorry, that was horrific and embarrassing.
  9. Let's face it, in recent years, DAYS has been hit and miss with Billy Flynn. He's had some good periods and good material, but he's also had LONG periods of next to nothing. I don't blame him at all for leaving.
  10. I cannot believe anyone wants to see Nicole off the show. No one is killing it more than Daphne Duplaix, and you want to kill her off? Just as I'm against recasts at this point, I'm also against killing off major characters because thy can supposedly kickstart a lot of story. Just let these characters do their own kickstarting. I cringed at that. I really can't decide what the writers are going for there. Do they want to remind us of great Civil Rights moments? Or do they want us to see how delusional the Duprees are?
  11. Yeah, Body & Soul did a number on their numbers.
  12. Hate to disappoint you, but that ain't happening. None of it. LOL
  13. Billy Flynn is really good, and this is a major coup for Y&R -- as well as a big loss for DAYS. I'll miss his scenes with Susan Seaforth Hayes. Billy on BTG as Derek (as some have suggested)? No. The character is minor, and I can't see Flynn taking that role.
  14. Yikes. The show already looks like Budget Cuts Central, and I can't imagine it getting any worse. DAYS is almost always in Peacock's Top 10 streaming shows for the day. If that's not enough to save it, I don't know what to say. Honestly, I'd rather see it leave the air than to get any worse.
  15. If Naomi has many more fits like she had today before making up with Jacob, their marriage is headed for trouble. She has blinders on when it comes to "THE DUPREES."
  16. Giovanni Mazza has really come into his own as Gio, and it looks like GH did a good job taking their time with him. He's been really good. The stuff with Emma has been excellent, but GM has also been strong in scenes with Amanda Setton. Eden McCoy has never been able to show warmth and sensitivity as Joss. She can't do it.
  17. Luna gets more support on this show than Hope does.
  18. I agree with you. From day one, Alexa owned that part. It's been a seamless recast.
  19. I howled, too, since Bill is so much taller. You already know hehe. Many of us have talked about the Martin actor being "not so good," but I'm kind of taken with him now. First and foremost, Dat Ass. Secondly, he's got a cadence and vibe unlike anyone else. I'll give it time and I want him around. Sigh. This is hard to argue with. I kind of feel sorry for Jacob being stuck with her. Say it again from the cheap seats in the back! I will keep repeating it: NO RECASTS. Not this soon. I don't even want to discuss them.
  20. -- I still don't want any recasts. It's too early and I don't want changes this early even for weaker actors. I'd rather see characters written out. -- I'm another one who was disappointed that Ted is also a cheater. I know cheaters are a soap staple, but come on. -- Dani is a whack job, but I enjoy her. -- Anita in that fur cape (or whatever that is) is too much LOL -- Today's show had a few smh moments, but I can deal with those when it's all this entertaining.
  21. -- Can you imagine how we'd feel about Bill if this story started when Hayley and Bill first started flirting with each other then moving on to sex? I think we'd really be trashing Bill. -- Not sure I'm rooting for them after today. Naomi has a blind spot when it comes to her nutjob mother. She could have been ticked at Jacob but still understood. The couch was ridiculous. I'd tell her to sleep on the couch.
  22. -- The Rachel and Ava "fight" ruined the episode for me. Maybe they should have cut that out of the episode, too, because it was ridiculous. I'm done with that old lady Rachel character. -- Someone should tell Melinda how absurd she looks walking around town with that necklace on in the middle of the day.
  23. Good show today, although all the talk about whether Drew can keep the Quartermaine name is beyond ridiculous.
  24. I kind of loved that. I think Bill sneered a couple times when saying "Dupree." At least that points out the Dupree delusion that they're somehow more special than anyone else. I thought I was the only one who remembered HTSAM. What an odd, awkward show that tried so hard to be edgy and sexy and cool. I remember being really angry that NBC canceled Return to Peyton Place (which I thought was good) for that mess. I'm not either, and I'm side-eyeing the whole deal. I'll give them some time, but if they avoid gay guys showing real affection, I'm calling it out bigtime. If they want us to care about this couple -- both as a relationship and as parents -- they need to give us more.
  25. -- That's how I feel. These conversations with a couple sitting at a table for the entire episode are deadly and maddening. They're so low energy it's pathetic. Even the Victor/Claire conversation was a waste. We got multiple scenes of Claire putting up her argument for seeing Kyle, and Victor seems amenable. It ends, though, with Victor making comments and faces that tell us nothing has changed for him. So what was it all for? Why make us sit through that? Likewise, an episode-long conversation between Adam and Chelsea about their relationship is boring. There's no reason to care about them. Ditto for Billy and Sally. Why should I care that they're in love? -- I know I'm a broken record, but the sets problem on Y&R is enormous. Creating a beautiful new set like Billy's house (and I do think it's great) is not enough. Moving characters from the GCAC to Society to Crimson Lights and back to Society and then to the GCAC is just awful, and it takes me out of many scenes. -- Josh Griffith apparently thinks talking about a new set (the Abbott mansion redo) is a storyline. It isn't. I think Ian is the kidnapper of Sharon and Phyllis, too. Why? He is the obvious answer, and Josh Griffith is so bad at his job that he thinks we'll be shocked at the obvious perp.
