  1. I agree -- their scenes today were great, Both actors were amazing. When did Van Hansis have a crush on Adrian Anchondo? I don't remember hearing a word about that. I know you're probably joking, but I don't think Adrian and Colton are talking about Van at all.
  2. Today's show was a big step back to me regarding Logan. -- I understand the limitations of a soap, but why act as if Eric is the only one designing? Katie did mention a "design team," but what does that mean? -- Eric thought the gowns were bad, but said "I'm going home"? Huh??? -- How did Eric not know about the silk used for the gowns and all the other problems before this? -- Why is Eric so stressed if the only problem is the silk? -- Bill made an "executive desicion" about the source of the silk. Why? Isn't this Katie's company? -- What exactly does Katie do for Logan? So far, it looks like nothing. -- I can't believe we're going to get another "Eric is sick" storyline. Is that so Deke can be brought in as a designer? OK, I get that, but how in the hell does a newbie move in to a lead designer type of role?
  3. Yes, those scenes were nicely written -- the kind that can be brought home with good acting and giving actors. Not a single hand touch. That alone would have been moving considering all these 3 characters have been through. Usually on soaps we have actors turning little or nothing into something special. This was the opposite. SSH tried nightly, but she came off looking overemotional because the other two were basic lumps. I didn't know what Suzanne was supposed to do other than what she did. If she looked at Dee any more than she did, the scene would have been even worse. I have to blame DH for this, and I wish someone on that set would call out her B.S. for the unprofessionalism that it is. I guess she's untouchable at this point. On the other hand, it does give us something to spill tea about since so much on the show is blah and meh.
  4. -- I don't blame Jeremy for being upset with Chad for saying he "hoped" Jeremy was innocent. Chad couldn't tell that Jeremy wanted to be believed? -- If this week's scenes were Billy Flynn's goodbyes, he did a good job with everyone. -- The Leo confessional to Marlena about Dimitri made me GAG. -- Those Marlena/Maggie/Julie scenes were hard to watch. Dee Hall looked at Suzanne Rogers one time for 2 seconds. The rest of the time, she acted like she was alone with SSH. I thought Rogers tried to engage Hall and make the scenes work, but there's so much you can do when one person is behaving like a bitch.
  5. I hear you, but are you saying because they've known Vanessa all their lives, they should/have to support her? Do they really need to move further down the road to see what Vanessa's doing? She's with the guy who's a casino mobster. They know how bad Joey is. I know Dani and Nicole have had questions about that relationship, but that seems to be in the past. Also, these sisters have both been badly burned by cheating in their own marriages. Now they're able to look beyond Vanessa's cheating because they've know her since forever. Oh, that's right, Doug cheated, too, with his mistress "gambling." Vanessa can play her victim card, but I'm not buying any of it.
  6. Could the post-wedding sex scene between Carter and Daphne have been more chaste and boring? You get two beautiful people in a bed together, and THAT'S what you film? They were wrapped in a white sheet like mummies.
  7. Please read my most recent post. I tried to clarify how I feel about the white chief of staff. I realize I responded to you and said I disagreed, but since then, I've been thinking about it, and I realize you have a point. I'll wait and see, but I am concerned. Did it take me a moment to see what you see because I'm white? It's hard to dismiss that, because I come with my own set of biases even though I work really hard to fight them. I am sorry you feel you stand alone in so many ways. All I can tell you is that I know white privilege is a real thing, and I know that has benefited me throughout my life. That means POC have not received that same benefit, and that will never be OK.
  8. I'm not concerned about the chief of staff being white -- yet -- although I reserve the right to change my mind depending on how she wields her power and position. Joey is far more problematic, and so is Vanessa. I know I'm more upset about their power than most people. I don't expect white people to be expunged from Fairmont Crest, but I am bothered that Joey has so much control over Black people and has so much over their heads. Same with Vanessa, who now knows the secrets of the wealthy and powerful Black people in town who somehow need to use her whorehouse to get sexual partners. I also hate it that Dani and Nicole are so pro-Vanessa in their support for her.
  9. I clocked that, too. She's not fooling anyone.
  10. -- I'm glad Maxie is back, but I don't think I'm ready for more Spinelli. In face, I know I'm not. -- Brook Lynn really needs to mind her own business. So judgemental. Like an Amish mother. -- Van Hansis has been flaming it up the past couple days. -- Rory Gibson. Wow. I never get tired of looking at him.
  11. I'm going to disagree with this one.
  12. Yeah, I'm not sure about the choice here. -- The Dani live stream was a good idea, but would the launch of a fashion house spokesperson include someone who was so negative and nasty? It all came off as so contrived. -- I also didn't like the set up for the stream -- in front of the fireplace??? -- or the dress Dani wore. I've seen her look better and more fashionable almost every time. -- Using Dani as a cliffhanger on a Friday was beyond meh. -- The nurses' desk at Garland has become unintentionally hilarious. It's a walking HR violation. Now we're opening up sexy Valentine's Day gifts 😂 -- Lia as hospital Chief of Staff is a nice addition. I need her there to provide the edge and gossipy snark that we used to get from Shanice. -- The Kat stuff today felt like filler. -- Lynette is not only getting free legal services from Hamilton, but she's now costing the firm THOUSANDS of dollars a month. LMAO -- I hope next week is better than those previews. Jacob has to move out because of his undercover work? And I hope Anita's chemo collapse plays better in the full scene than it did in those 5 seconds we got.
  13. Monday's show -- the 16th -- will be a repeat.
  14. That's where I am. We didn't need another damn kid on this show. All of this was for a Who's The Daddy storyline that's now numbingly over. Everyone was happy for 5 minutes. Even Trina was happy, but then needed Ava therapy because she can't deal with her lying mother. At least give me some laughs. Have Laura walk in and give her resting concerned face to everyone while telling them they'll all be ok but maybe not.
  15. -- Shouldn't Jordan be even a little upset that Curtis is the father? Wouldn't any woman in her situation want to avoid the mess? Oh, that's right, she's understanding. -- Shouldn't Isaiah be more upset that the child isn't his? Is he giving up the chance to be a bio dad by staying with Portia? Oh, that's right, he's understanding.
  16. Worst Decor Award: The orange globe on the bar. Every time I see that big glass globe,I have to laugh. I'm what world should that be there -- on a bar counter in a casino back room where people are drinking and moving around said bar?
  17. Really disappointed to see Curtis is the father of the baby. Is there really more drama there? Because it's just another baby we won't see unless we get more stupid custody arguments. Isaiah hasn't done much, I agree, but that's the show's fault. He's a decent actor and a beautiful man. They're wasting him, and now what? Meanwhile we've had months and months and months of Portia lying and making bad decisions and being thrown under the bus.
  18. It was as bad as it sounds. Nothing sexy about it, nothing fun or entertaining. Gleb was in off-season condition, and it all came off as cringe. -- This Carter and Daphne insta-wedding is all contrived because the show doesn't want to spend a dollar on a real wedding for a guy who will move on to some other woman by summer. -- At least Zende was there as minister so that another Black person would be in the room.
  19. That Nicole visit to Ted was ridiculous. Want to live your life? Then go live your life and stop making space for everyone who has an opinion or raises an eyebrow about how you dress or how you move. I actually wish Ted had shut her down with "I don't care what you do." Nicole isn't a whore, but I stand by my previous comments that I don't like this new version and the way she's moving. I understand it from a soaps POV, because there's drama there, but for me, Nicole already had her groove and didn't need to get it back. Dating two doctors she sees every day? She's messy these days, and I don't like messy Nicole. You're on point about Bill and Vanessa. I rolled my eyes when Vanessa explained/excused her whoring around by claiming her marriage was dead and that "Doug found another mistress in gambling." Girl. And VANESSA is the one Nicole turns to for support in her dating life? 😂 -- Who knew that Tomas would be smarter than Bill or Carolyn when it comes to Hayley and Lynette? That was not on my bingo card. -- Hayley had ANOTHER meeting with Randy that was a "Shoulda been an email" thing. She is so damn dumb. Randy rightly called out Hayley for the Lynette stuff, but meeting with Hayley doesn't exactly make him a brain trust. -- Maurice P. Kerry is ok as Randy, but I wish he'd cut down on the hand acting. There's a constant "both hands explain every sentence" thing going on, and it's distracting. -- Ted and Shanice are good together, but I already need some drama with them, even if it's morre Leslie interference. Hearing Ted tell Shanice "I really care about you" isn't enough.
  20. I don't know what your point is in telling me this as a response to what I implied -- that DAYS spends no money on audience research. Are you saying that it's enough to have an intern tallying what's said on social media? Or what?
  21. I think Melissa Ordway has been the standout in the Dominic storyline. Something tells me she channeled this happening to one of her own children, and it's the best she's been in years. Bryton had been too calm and collected for my taste. I wanted a father to act more like a father than a bystander who's "concerned." I can't even comment on Camryn Grimes because I'm so disgusted with the way the show has used her in the past few years. Nothing about this makes any sense, and neither will all these people forgiving her for kidnapping a child.
  22. I've already said I'm concerned about the Impaler Plasma story. Smitty pointing out clues on his yellow pad while he eats lunch in public with the undercover cop is not a good way to start. Neither is talking about guys getting beat up but showing none of it. And look, how is Jacob the undercover guy, anyway? Wasn't he all over media when he arrested Dani for shooting a gun at Bill and Hayley's wedding? THIS is your undercover go-to? Then they dress Jacob up for the streets by putting him in a designer fit and a cute cap.
