-- I thought Paul and Andrew looked just fine in their matching suits...handsome, hot, summery. Just because most gays wouldn't want to match at their wedding doesn't mean they can't match. The fit? It was also fine. No one else there dressed in formal black tie, after all. -- This last-minute adoption stuff with Sophia's and Tate's baby is hard to watch. I can't see concentrating on the suits of the married gay couple when we're getting an "adoption process" that is completely ridiculous. -- I know Josh Taylor is 81 and looks good for his age, but how loose were his dentures today?

He's not getting any better or more comfortable. I'm just not seeing it. I love the guy's looks and voice, but the acting is soooooo rough. Which begs the question why Joey the Mobster and all these other tough guys and all these guys with tons of money cannot shut up a racist busboy. The mystery is good, and I am enjoying it, but it's hard to believe this crew wouldn't put that busboy away in no time. I agree about Eva. I know most people side with her because Kat is so extra, but the bottom line is that Kat is right about her. She's right about Eva lying for her mother and covering up big crimes. Same. I want the guy off the show, not more involved. -- Did anyone else catch Jacob pronouncing "rhetoric" incorrectly, placing the accent on the second syllable as in "rhe-TOR-ic" instead of "RHE-tor-ic"? He may have been thinking of the word "rhe-TOR-i-cal" but someone should have corrected him before that made it to tape.

The only way to get through this is to take that "new character" label and run through it. We cannot make any reference or connection to the past, or it all falls apart. I do think Billy Flynn and Christel Kahlil are strong enough to make this work. Do I trust Josh Griffith to write that good story for them? Of course not.

Willow really seems to be under the spell of Drew, or at least under the spell of his D. But how good was Rory Gibson today as Michael lit into her? RG is really killing it. I know how bad this sounds, but I was so turned on by his anger and vibe 😂

Usually Brooke is the most embarrassing person around when it comes to talking about Ridge and her destiny. Today it was Taylor, who asked Ridge where their relationship was heading. Are you kidding me with this? It ended with a Taylor marriage proposal and Ridge looking flummoxed, as if he has no idea what's going on. The writing for women on this show never fails to be embarrassing.

So Nikki doesn't want to sell Chancellor because she can't do that to Katherine. Just how long does she expect to be in charge there? She's 90 and Victor is 100, yet they're both acting like they have decades of work in front of them. Nikki should be organizing fundraisers and planning galas and telling the cooks and wait staff what to do -- not running a company. Does anyone really believe Nikki is business world material? And yeah, I realize we have no idea what Chancellor Industries does anyway.

That wedding. Wow. Why am I so emotional watching this? Why am I feeling that I can't remember a more touching and perfect ceremony in daytime? I'm blown away. Paul and Andrew....Christopher Sean and Colton Little knocked it out of the park.

-- I'm lost as I read posts saying that Vernon dismantled Bill today. Honestly, I don't know where that's coming from. Both men got their shots in, but neither one dismantled the other. And, as I said before, I was on Bill's side at the end of that argument because I don't think it made sense for Vernon to be so hard on someone he needed to AGAIN be his fixer. -- Cady McClain isn't working for me. It all reeks of trying too hard, from the accent to the hair to the wardrobe.

I know what you mean. I think Clifton Davis is killing it in this role, but my mouth dropped open during that argument. Vernon NEEDS Bill, yet he's acting indignant and superior and self-righteous. I don't think the Duprees are in any position to act as if they're playing a hand with four aces. -- If Vernon thinks so little of Bill, then he should hire someone else to be his fixer. If he needs Bill, then he should eat a little humble pie, or at least be civil. -- These Duprees are legends and icons with a "kingdom," but they sure as hell need lawyers and fixers on speed dial all the time. -- Good scenes with Eva and Nicole. I'm glad they chose this route instead of the old trope that Nicole has to hate Eva. -- Cliches? Today' show was good, but damn, I think I hear enough cliches for the entire week. -- I still despise the editing in the break to commercial. It's almost always awful.

-- Eric Braeden just took 3 pauses saying the line "I suspected....your....real....identity." They're still saying he's "10 steps ahead of everyone else" (Nikki repeated those words today), yet EB cannot function without constantly looking at cue cards. Jesus. -- The show's first scenes had me laughing. They ALL went to Nice of their own accord. No one forced them to be there. Yet they're all so pissed off at Cane. It's laughable. -- Also laughable? Everyone getting one line with their "around the horn" comment on Cane and the situation. This is all so bad. -- The only thing saving any of this is that Billy Flynn is good and has chemistry with CK.

GH: June 2025 Discussion Thread
I have to agree with this. I never said "Get Chad Duell off this show" to myself, but the quick and overwhelming acceptance of Rory Gibson says it all. Even when the writing choices played against Chad's strengths, the writing itself was still decent -- the polar opposite of the writing Rory got at Y&R. In the past few years, Chad walked through scene after scene, doing the very minimum. He did seem bored, so yeah, that's on Chad. I'll save some of the blame for Frank and others in production who apparently never called out Duell on his "boredom." Are these actors ever given notes?

I get that. I said the line was intentional. My problem is that after Vernon questioned Kenny, he had no response to Kenny's ridiculous answer. It made no sense that Vernon seemingly accepted that response. I don't need to be hit over the head with comments on racism, but I need more than we got. Just my opinion.

I guess it's great that so many people here think the writers are playing chess while the rest of us haven't even found the checkerboard yet. 🤣

Y&R: June 2025 Discussion Thread
None of it makes any sense. I have no problem deSORASing Cane, or even dropping the accent, but the rest of it HAS to make sense in some way -- and it doesn't. I know Cane was just revealed, but most of us are this upset because we know who's writing this, and that it's not going to get any better. Is it only because of the Cane/Lily connection? Then why not have Billy Flynn plays a character who sees Lily and is swept off his feet at first glance? Instead, we have to change EVERYTHING about the character to make this work, including the fact that the Cane we knew could never become this billionaire mega-tycoon. Oh, and whose eyes are set only on Genoa City. As Antoyne said, we're ALL bothered by this. I post about it regularly -- so often that I'm guessing people are tired of hearing me complain about it. Characters sit at a table for the entire episode, and it drives me mad, to the point I stop listening to dialogue. All they care about is getting the script on tape as quickly as possible, without any need for camera blocking. It's just awful.

These are all good points, and you ask a lot of good questions. I hope this is all explained and makes sense, because I have a hard time understanding how upset Martin is when he's so clueless about what happened. If Martin did something bad/wrong/criminal, what's with the memory loss? They better have story to back this up. I just can't with that set. It's SO bad I have no words. Did it look good on paper and then fail in execution? Or, as you said, is it to signify Hayley's lack of taste? If she had a designer -- and they did say she had one -- was the designer limited to the Wayfair Las Vegas Collection? Cosign on those wall sconces. They're always on, and I cringe every time.

-- Good show today. Vernon was especially strong. Clifton Davis is doing a great job. -- Lots of chemistry today with Nicole and Ted. The writers finally gave Keith Robinson some good dialogue. -- The Smitty/Jacob scenes were nicely done -- flowing, natural dialogue delivered really well. -- Elon looks too young to be Jacob's dad. The age casting on this show.... -- Vanessa is still a slut. When this is all over (and I hope e get a Joey exit) I want Doug to divorce her ass. -- In the preview, Anita made me laugh and roll my eyes. She mentioned the Duprees having a "kingdom." Lady, give it a rest.
