    • Spencer & Trina do nothing for me. Sorry, but they do not.

To me, Sprina was magical for a while. Lots of angst, lots of yearning romance, lots of chemistry. The writers RUINED all of that.

This is one of the worst decisions a soap has made about a young couple in years. I understand drama and conflict, but the story has basically put Spencer and Trina is different stories and different worlds, eliminating almost every chance for us to see that chemistry.

Instead we get Esme carrying around Amazon Baby Ace and Spence turning over his life to them. What a waste.

Talia, it's your first day of work, and you're already downing shots and sleeping with married men?  Get it together, sister.

I mean, the hospital board convened in the middle of the night, just to offer you a job.  At least wait a week before you start making out with strangers in the same hotel that you planned on drugging people with your British ex-boyfriend.  Chanel is cute, but you weren't even bi-curious before you made those biscuits. Slow your roll.

-- Just goes to show what a completely awful character Talia is.

As I've said before, nothing about her screams "doctor." DAYS seems instead to have doubled down to make her ridiculous, getting her drunk and horny when she's barely given her first vaxx at the hospital. What a disaster.

-- Paul and Andrew? A very welcome return, but it also goes to the terrible tape schedule at DAYS. It's as if Ron got the feedback (loud and clear) 6+ months ago when we all loved Paul and Andrew together -- and then it took FOREVER to get them back on the canvas.

Imagine getting surprise chemistry back on the screen in 6-8 weeks instead of 6-8 months? In addition, imagine dumping a bad storyline in 6-8 weeks instead of letting it run 6+ more months.

I never know how to comment here because a lot of the posters here like Tripp and I absolutely loathe him.  As a human I find him between horrific and boring, but never likeable.  He's just shoehorned into the storylines because Ron wants him there, but he's just awful.
As a woman, I find him unattractive, unsexy and ... creepy.
I want Wendy far away from him.

Wow. I've never seen a character -- even a full-blown criminal played by a lousy actor -- reviled that much.

Of course you're entitled to your opinion, but I can't begin to understand it. Tripp is boring, but so is Wendy, yet you want her away from him LOL. But "horrific"? Uh...I don't get it.

And in what universe is Lucas Adams "unattractive and unsexy"? I guess in yours, but I want to point out that you're among a small minority who feel that way.

Another filler episode. John McCook acting is Ronn Moss laughable bad.

    Ridge vs Eric......assessed zzz

Gotta agree about John McCook in these scenes. He's done some decent work at BOLD, but this ain't it LOL He's chewing through those scenes like a man who's terminal and has to get it all in this week.

I'd love to see a serious story about design, but again, we're given scenes that are just ludicrous and laughable.

Eric is talking his sketch to RJ in the living room? While Brooke comes in and nicely tells him he needs a vacation? Meanwhile, that whole open scene with Ridge and Thomas fixing and finishing designs in Ridge's office. I mean, who does that? Nothing's really ever done.

Oh, I forgot. Today Ridge CHANGED THE MODEL'S EARRINGS!!! Fashion nirvana!!! No designer wall of accessories -- just a small case with about 6 pairs of earrings. Whew! Glad the right ones were there!

With Eric and Ridge fighting for Forrester's "vision," how the hell this company stays in business, I'll never know.

Ava is one of those soap characters that was great in their first run, but the show just kept bringing them back for no discernible reason except people liked it once. It helps TB won an emmy for the role too.   Ava has definitely outlived her shelf life and has bounced around canvas with little purpose.  She's also suffered from whiplash writing.  The show redeems her than makes her evil again and tries pairing her with people ranging from Steve and John to Johnnie and Rafe.   Is she evil?  Is she sane?  Are the drugs she was taking making her like this?  No idea and I am long past caring.  The show just has never made it clear.

Harris is only around because he's played by Steve Burton.  I did enjoy him on Beyond Salem and I do think there are interesting beats to the character.  But Harris was never integrated with the cast at all.  Everyone he had ties to is long gone and his only link to Salem is his shrink.  I have no investment in him because eventually GH will hire him again and Harris will be a distant memory like Steve's Y&R character.

This is a perfect explanation of why the show doesn't need Ava or Harris.

I have no idea -- none -- who Ava is at this point. I don't care if or when she hallucinates except that it makes me gag even harder when I see Susan again.

I agree that Steve Burton was decent on Beyond Salem, but nothing he's done on the main show has worked. Like you, I'm not invested in his character at all. Even worse, all I dowhen he's on the screen is glare at how hard and weathered he looks. He's like a cyborg.

  6. That design sketch that RJ is doing for Eric is just hilarious. Who spends that much time on a sketch, filling it in like a color-by-numbers project?

And then there's Ridge. On one hand, he sees no reason for RJ to get involved with girls ("They just take your money") While then saying Eric needs to travel the world and get away from all the stress at Forrester.

Um...is that the stress from telling his grandson what to sketch? And then Eric plays the piano...while RJ is still filling in that one design.

On the other hand, Carter got to say "copacetic" today, so his role is really expanding.

  7. That Doug Davidson interview is hilarious. Every 6 months, he contacts someone to spill his guts about how mistreated he was, always with half-truths.

Doug, you're 68 years old. Only the 80 year old blue-haired ladies miss you, so why you think they should pay you big bucks instead of getting a cheaper Michael Damian (Danny) is hilarious. We don't really miss Clueless Paul, who was always 8 steps behind any criminal in GC.

And your LEGAL REPRESENTATION wasn't treated properly? LOLOL They invited you back for the 50th and your answer was to call in the lawyers? Dude....you ain't all that.

Look, I'm as unhappy as anyone about the budget-cutting at Y&R, but that doesn't mean I have any sympathy for Davidson, who NEVER tells the complete truth about the show or TPTB or about the offers he's had. Notice he gets very critical, but ALWAYS tries to prop open the door to a return.

It's been YEARS, and he's still harping about his treatment. I guess he gets his fix when all his Twitter stans tell him how they miss him more than anything and want him back. LOL

I would suggest that it's not per se a truthiness question. I believe he almost always or even always has some agenda behind whatever he's saying & we of course have no way of knowing what those many agendas might be. So his point of view dances around like a point of light. The rest of the time, to me at least, he is working the room.

Respectfully, if someone is constantly "working the room," that IS a truthiness question.

If I could advise Mr. Giddens, I would say, taste is subjective.  He's never going to please most people. So, give it a rest.  Do the job you were hired to do.  And stop trying to chase clout based on inside information.

My problem with Jamey Giddens is that he's not honest.

Everything he says about DAYS is a CYA moment or a chance to point the finger away from ANYONE at the show. I think Giddens is smart, and I don't think he believes these lame excuses he feeds us. He's doing it to protect himself, worried about connections and future employment and biting the hand that feeds you.

I understand that. I don't think he needs to spill the tea with us  because we somehow deserve it regardless of how it affects his career. But please don't feed me garbage and call it the truth. Don't treat me like I'm stupid. THAT'S why I complain about JG's comments.

Any fan of Arleen Sorkin (Calliope Jones) should read this Variety piece written by her husband. It's beautiful.

I don't really get what Days has to do with Jamey Giddens failed show.  Unless I am missing something Days wouldn't have to build new sets for Victor's funeral.  They would have to add a few chairs.  I get there might be a limit to how many people can be on a set, but I don't see why they couldn't have filmed Nicole, John, Marlena etc with a few people and rotate the cast in and out for scenes.

DAYS had time to plan  a funeral that didn't look like a Costco special.

It was classy to have that coffin and the chairs THISCLOSE to the shrubbery??? When Phillip touched Victor's framed portrait, the entire easel almost fell over.

Even worse? The remembrances were nothing special. I actually thought Zach Tinker did the best job in bringing emotion to the dialogue, but overall, nothing about that memorial was all that sad. Really disappointing.

"A few quick changes"? I think a few more changes were needed to that dialogue. Giddens' excuse is lousy. If they had time to bring in another actor/character, they had time to properly write dialogue that didn't have us shaking our heads.

Weird excuse, and I'm not buying it. You mean Lions Gate execs waited until ALL of these budget busting scenes were planned and filmed before saying anything??? That's just not believable.

And they let DH2 express fan feelings about the many retcons of John Black & gave him a new papa in just 2 weeks of DVD.

Dick Van Dyke is a national treasure, but am I the only one who's already tired of his appearances? Just leave already.

Admittedly I am not a Darin Brooks fan, even when he was on Days.  He just doesn't have that IT factor for me.  As pointed out, at least Scott Clifton can act, but he tends to chew the scenery...Evident by "Exhibit A" above!  It's like tone it down dude.  He's like Michelle Stafford, but at least she doesn't have these goofy expressions.

Have to agree. I'm no Darin Brooks fan, either. In most of his scenes, he's one step away from LOL. I can't defend Scott Clifton's overacting, and I think it's more noticeable because he's done such good work in the past. Now? He must know the scripts are total crap, so he tries -- way too hard -- to make tehm work. He might be better off phoning it in.

Andrea the surrogate has had the procedure done and might be pregnant. What will happen next?

    1. Andrea dies in a car crash. Molly and TJ turn to Kristina to be the surrogate.

    2. The procedure fails. Molly and TJ turn to Kristina to be the surrogate.

    3. Andrea has TJ's baby. Tj falls in love with Andrea and breaks up with Molly.

    4. Andrea backs out of the agreement and wants to keep the baby. Molly and TJ fight her in court.

    5. Andrea has the baby and give it Molly and TJ without problems.

    I wish I cared.

I don't understand why people think Sheila is a good idea.  It's 20 years ago. Repeated lines, Steffy stands there speechless looking horrified and stupid.  Finn stands there like the utter dope that I said they would make him.....because, you have to for Sheila.  Everyone has to be insanely stupid, because of Sheila.

Like.....you wouldn't get up in her face and say GET OUT OF THIS HOUSE *ITCH.  ??  YOU SHOT US.  You want to KILLLLLLL someone when you shoot them.  GET OUT OF THIS HOUSE.  And when she attempts to speak, ok helpless IN THEIR OWN HOUSE.

And when I rewound and saw Liam and Wyatt having - meaningless conversation....repetitive meaningless conversations about things they already KNOW and HAVE KNOWN....with BOTH characters making wacky faces.  CRINGE.

All so true. In just 2 paragraphs, you said all that needs to be said about Sheila -- and why that character should be GONE, along with Kimberlin Brown's eye squints that she calls acting.

The Liam/Wyatt conversations are awful on every level. Darin Brooks is not just a talk-to, but an embarrassing talk-to. If he ever knew how to act, I've forgotten it, and he brings out the worst (acting, faces, body movements) in Scott Clifton. BOLD loves these "Bro Talks," but they are horrific.

Well at least You and I and Errol saw the movie. I thought I was the only one after no response to my posts.

Red, White and Royal Blue (on Prime) is a great gay rom-com, and anyone not giving it a watch is really missing out. The story is good, and both leads are eye candy.

    @Soapsuds what's the tea on KKL's son?

KKL's son Jeremy Skott Snider bottomed in a Sean Cody scene in 2011.

  16. -- Now that Tripp and Wendy have screwed, there's nothing left for them. There's zero conflict, zero story.

-- Johnny definitely needs to be a bad boy again. It's insane that someone as hot as Carson Boatman is always a third wheel or someone who isn't chosen.

-- I still can't, and will never believe, that Talia is a doctor.

-- The Ava/Harris escape was ridiculous. Even though the budget is non-existent, DAYS should be able to do better than this. It's actually embarrassing. The actors were shot in close-up so we couldn't really envision the scene, and we were cheated out of seeing anything when Harris held the gun on security and 5 seconds later they were in front of a plastic green wall.

    I watched today's episode.  Why did I watch?😂

More Sheila nonsense. The same recycled scripts. I can't believe this is the best the writers could do to write out Steffy during her maternity leave.

Same here. I don't know why I watched.

The Sheila stuff is beyond repetitive, and I have no idea what Deacon sees in her as a person or as an object of physical desire.

BOLD feels like it's written by AI that's generated in a system engineered by tech failures.

I will say that RJ was looking like a snack today in that tight black t-shirt. I liked his hair, too.
