  1. Justin speaking to his client Liam — is that the way accused murderers have to meet with attorneys? On the other side of the glass? The whole thing was ludicrous.
  2. I agree with Paul on the location and sets issues. When you notice them, it’s bad. Speaking of sets, why was Jack looking up in the air as he surveyed Lily and Billy’s new apartment? What was on the damn ceiling? Because he looked at it — all around the cramped room — for a long time. Glad Jack wore his suit there, though. And Chance Comm....How desperate is this media company when Billy has no stories except about his own family?
  3. I am fine with Xander getting 5 days a week LOL
  4. Excellent insights, FrenchBug82. Your stuff is always on point.
  5. Hope is as dumb as Liam. Her tears because Liam is in jail are frickin pitiful.
  6. I’ll never accept nuClaire either. Just don’t like that actress in the role. That donut recipe was handed over far too easily to service a storyline that will probably look ridiculous. Allie and Chanel running a bakery? Uh...ok. Talk about random. And while I’m fine with Chanel being sexually fluid and flirting all over the place, having Allie show interest in her seems like game playing to me, and I don’t like it. Ron couldn’t write stories for gay males but he can do it for gay or bi females? Yeah, right.
  7. At least Victoria had an edge when talking to Lily and Billy, who are so frickin boring even before marriage. And those park scenes with Kyle, Tara, and Harrison were SO bad. They could not have less energy or urgency. Summer should run from all three of them.
  8. Wait — Laura is no longer his sister???
  9. Paul, where are you watching Peyton Place?
  10. i don’t think KM has been great at all. She might be a decent actress, but she isn’t Amanda. She smiled too much and there was no edge to her performance. Yeah, we know you hate Hunter King and Michelle Stafford. Next. Crimson Lights had a makeover, so don’t look for another one. I agree with you about the long shots, lack of extras, etc. The Grand Phoenix rooms are horrific. Motel 6 looks more luxurious. My fear is that they’re used to saving money on sets, extras, casting, etc. — and they won’t return to pre-COVID budgeting and production as the pandemic ends. I worry they’ll see no good in spending more and looking better just to keep the same audience levels. I am so tired of Lauren holding meetings at Society, and tired of so man6 character discussions taking place in the hotel lobby. It’s pathetic, and a terrible look for the #1 rated soap. Then there’s that crummy, small boardroom at Jabot. Lily and Billy operate the huge Chance Comm from her small office. The new apt. for Billy and Lily looks like pieces of the old Billy and Phyllis apt. — just arranged differently but not as nicely. Should I continue?
  11. You sound nice. Seriously, your attacks on HK and MS say much more about you than they do about those actors.
  12. Not an unpopular opinion with me. I think Bryton does great work even when his story is bad. He comes across as real and genuine and authentic, and that warmth translates so well. Agree with you. Like most of Josh’s writing, their story wasn’t built properly. SHOW me the reasons that characters are at odds — don’t TELL me they don’t get along or have them attack each other and let me decide who to blame. He does this with every story. Take Tara, for example. Will she be different from the quiet wallflower we’ve been given? Who knows with Griffith. I do know that if we were shown signs of another side of her, it’s possible we’d see her casting as better than a complete failure. Instead, we’ve been given a wet dishrag for months, and most of us dislike this actress in the role. If Tara does a 180 turn, will it seem believable? Again, it’s a failure in writing.
  13. These shootouts are comical. All those bullets flying — and almost all misses from a close range. It’s ridiculous and hysterical. Why would anyone choose to live in Port Charles with all this violence and mob activity? Real estate must be cheap.
  14. — Why would Summer automatically accept Ashland’s job offer that would get her out of town? Don’t understand why Sally thinks this is such a great idea. — Why does Harrison need a nanny now that Tara is with him at the house all the time? Isn’t Mrs. Martinez now his buddy (in scenes we don’t see)? — Why does the apt. that Billy and Lily are renting look like an awful knock-off of Billy’s last place with Phyllis? I swear these sets get worse and worse.
  15. I honestly can’t be happy for any of the nominees. With so many egregious snubs and so many noms going to undeserving actors, the entire thing is a farce. The Daytime Emmys are just a complete joke.
  16. Without mentioning specific individuals, I think this list of nominees is proof the Daytime Emmys are a FARCE. With only 4 soaps, they ended up with egregious snubs. They nominated actors who did nothing this year and who do not deserve nominations. I can’t applaud any worthy nominee because the entire list is so flawed. GH should win an award for working overtime to get their actors nominated. Frank and team worked hard on that. It’s all pretty pathetic.
  17. It really is. Just so bad. And they meet in the lobby of the hotel for these talks? In addition, I don’t care how much people like Karla Mosely. She doesn’t work as Amanda — at all.
  18. i agree. Earring Jake tell Gabi he loves her ALREADY is pathetic and disgusting, and a huge slap at Kate. It’s awful writing that really hurts the character of Jake.
  19. Really agree with you about SH’s Kristen — just doesn’t work for me. The writing is bad for her, too, mak8ng the character even more of a caricature than she already was. I’m to the point of disgust when I see Kristen on my screen. I don’t find her fun, or funny, or interesting. She’s an over the top waste of time caricature who gets away with everything....because the writer said so. None of it has to make sense and none of it does.
  20. Adam is a wanted criminal, but only to people who hate him and to horrible police work by Rey. The evidence is laughable and there’s ONE cop on the case — who shouldn’t be anywhere near it. I don’t see Sharon as ruined here at all. She’s always had something unexplainable for Adam, she’s always loved him in some way. Victor isn’t ruined either. Josh Griffith is sacrificing Rey to this story, and that’s a shame. Rey doesn’t have to be written as a stupid, vindictive cop. It would be a better story if Sharon were truly torn between Adam and Rey— but she’s not. Once Lola is off the canvas, Rey has no ties to anyone. That’s not a good place for a character to be in.
  21. And I get your point, too. My biggest problem with that scene is that it was all shock value and only for shock value. You want to say “no labels” and have a previously-thought of straight person go bi or gay? I’ll buy it. I’ll accept it. But don’t feed me a cliffhanger gay kiss that’s seen by someone else and then make it clear two days later that it was not only no big deal, but it was really nothing. We ended up with a scene that actually makes no sense, since Allie has no romantic or sexual interest in Chanel. Carlivati wrote that scene for titters, and that bothers me. The low DAYS budget really showed today in those ER scenes with Kayla using the paddles on Brady. The lame hospital set was barely lit — probably to hide how fake it looked — and watching Kayla work on Brady by herself was laughable. I wonder about soap actors’ salaries, too. Can they make it only by doing other tie-ins, Cameos, etc.? How do these actors pay a mortgage? Especially on DAYS, where they’re hired for 6 months and then disappear for 6 until they’re brought back? I just think it’s a lousy way to treat cast members.
  22. William Lipton gets worse every week. The Cameron we knew is gone.
  23. Looks like Sharon Case is the new Michelle Stafford. Huh? Lily is a call girl and a Trollope because she woos her man and looks good in a sparkly dress? Is this a parody post? My problem with the wooing scene at Society was seeing that the restaurant was AGAIN closed down for the night so that one couple could have a romantic dinner. Yeah, that happens.
  24. I’m not interested in the Allie and Chanel stuff if they’re going the “no labels” route. Tired of soaps pretend they’re progressive while they can’t say the word gay. Labels are important. If Allie and Chanel are into each other, they’re either bi or gay. Period.
