  1. 11/29 is # 15. What about 27. That's the most important. Someone supposedly had a copy of it and was supposed to send it to someone so I could get the cast & set data many years ago but never did. That's the one episode missing from the episode rankings. The Days script archive itself is missing the first 4 months of scripts, so they couldn't even provide me the script of it.
  2. I would say he did. That was my first time seeing Gloria Loring and Stephen Schnetzer in a new episode, and I've been watching since 1990. Just wish it was for a nicer occasion.
  3. No one ever bothered to tell John Aniston in 1985 that the "love of Victor's life" was pronounced CaroLINE. He always pronounced it CaroLYNN. So, I figured no one bothered to tell Peyton that he should have pronounced it Ro-BARE.
  4. You have 9, 11 and 15? I have 13 of the first 16 episodes (through 11/30/65) except for those three.
  5. Well, that was all wrong as we saw today! So he actually was in prison and his cellmate happened to be a man named Bill.
  6. These items were listed in scripts, so I don't know if they are the actual same houses, but they were the same sets at one point. The DiMera Mansion of today I consider to be the one Shane & Kimberly lived in in the late 80's, So that eventually became the DiMera Mansion in the 90's. 4092...12/28/81: Cast: Mickey, Maggie, Don, Marlena, Liz, Jessica, Mary, Jake, Evan, Tony, Joshua, Roman, Mr. Smith, Mr. Shelly, Body Connection Nurse # 1, Body Connection Nurse # 2. Sets: Body Connection Exercise & Eating Areas, Tony's Study (formerly Stuart's), Hospital Nursery, Nurses' Station Lobby, St. Jacques Restaurant, Salem Inn Dining Room (Limbo), Mickey's Office Phone (Limbo). 4565...10/21/83: Cast: Julie, Doug, Neil, Alex, Liz, Danny, Roman, Gwen, Chris, Anna, Hope, Bo, Sandy, Pete, Larry, Letitia, Billie, Speed, Delia, Dave, Charlene, Mrs. Whiting, Wanda/Guard, Tyler, Lion/animal. Sets: Doug's Place, Alex's Living Room (formerly DiMera), Letitia's House, Boat Dock, Chris' House, Prison Recreation Room, Liz's Cell, Superintendent's Office Phone (Limbo), Anna's Bathtub (Limbo), Ty's Salem Inn Room Phone (Limbo). 4727...6/7/84: Cast: Tom, Alice, Mickey, Neil, Marlena, Alex, Liz, Gwen, Melissa, Pete, Carlo, Maxwell, Howie, Speed, Diane, Drew, Noel, Reporter # 1, Reporter # 2. Sets: Park Café, Curtis Living Room (formerly Marshall Manor), Park, Hospital Corridor & Desk, Marlena’s Office, Maxwell’s Office Phone (Limbo).
  7. TRIO ADDED TO CONTRACT LIST... As the "Days" credits suggested, I checked with "Days" today and a spokesperson confirmed that Brandon Beemer (Shawn), Martha Madison (Belle) and Peyton Meyer (Doug III, listed today in credits as Young Man) are all on contract. For the record, Beemer's first episode on contract was November 29 and Madison and Meyer joined the contract cast on December 2. I mean, from my own thoughts watching yesterday, I considered it to be Young Doug and Young Bill, an homage to Bill Hayes' first storyline (from Doug first meeting Bill in prison to his release a few months later when he headed to Salem). The first time we saw Peyton Meyer's actual character was at the end of today's episode, when he met Julie outside of St. Luke's. That's my thinking as of now. However, to be certain, I just emailed the publicist and asked for confirmation, so I will update you if I hear back.
  8. Yes, that's the part I can't get past. The authenticator I guess is set up with an old phone from many years ago. So the code must be going there. I haven't had that phone number in many years. So, I need a way around that.
  9. Got a message from Facebook that someone had logged in from Nigeria and I guess changed the password earlier this week. I was able to get that reported and regain control of the account within days, but there is some two-factor authentication set-up and I no longer have that phone, so the 6-digit code I need to finally get back in I never get when FB sends it. Any ideas on how to go around the two-factor part so I can finally sign in again?? I've tried googling things, but as people know here, I am not too tech savvy and don't have any social media other than the Days FB page. Thanks for any help.

  12. I guess we have to move to the 1960's thread now, so I posted the January 1969 ratings there!
  13. NIELSEN RATINGS SPOT CHECK: JANUARY 1969:
  14. NIELSEN RATINGS SPOT CHECK: JANUARY 1970: You got the rank and share, just off .4 points on the rating. Great job!! 😃
  15. Things start getting "weird" as we head into the 1960's. The last week of 1969, "Who, What or Where Game" is unrated the entire week. Then, the next week, it gets a rating. The last week of 1968, the 90-minute "The Dick Cavett Show" is unrated the entire week. The first week of 1969, the 1030-1130AM portion of the show is unrated, but the 1130-Noon portion gets a rating. So, it seems back in the 1960's, networks would randomly say one week a show wouldn't get a rating, another week just 1/2 of a show would get a rating. At least everything is pretty normal from 1970-Present!
  16. I'll wait until tomorrow when I post the chart for the answer. So if you want to keep guessing, post your guesses here! Another guess if anyone wants to make: Out of the 34 series on that week, what placement was AMC out of the 34??
  17. I'm typing out the 1/5/70-1/9/70 week now, and just realized this was the debut of AMC. Any guesses as to its first week rating/share? Maybe it's already out there somewhere.
  18. NIELSEN RATINGS SPOT CHECK: JANUARY 1971: (Note: Most preemption program info is now no longer listed on the chart pages, so that info will be coming at a later date).
  19. NIELSEN RATINGS SPOT CHECK: JANUARY 1972: In January 1968, for CBS only, 9 half-hour shows have their ratings listed by the quarter hour, with no final average that I can find: Andy of Mayberry, Dick Van Dyke Show, Love of Life, As the World Turns, Love Is a Splendored Thing, House Party, To Tell the Truth, Edge of Night and Secret Storm. In fact, since there is a 5-minute news program on after Love of Life, they can't even fit the 1210-1225PM Love of Life ratings on the chart, they are on another page that I do not have yet, so for the moment, we won't know those. But at least for 1968, the ABC and NBC shows will still have the "normal" ratings we are used to. And yes, Search and GL are the only 15-minute shows on the networks in January 1968.
  20. It looks like the ratings, as we know them, are only the same back to 1969. I looked at the January 1968 chart, and, as of that date, they are listing each 15-minute block based on the sponsor. They don't average out a half-hour show (unless it's the same sponsor for the whole half-hour), but list two separate ratings from 11-1115AM and 1115-1130AM for example. Of course, you can sort of get the average I guess if you add up both numbers and divide by two. But, at this point, looks like I will have to list both quarter-hour numbers for 1965-1968, since I don't feel like doing the averaging. I was hoping things would stay the same until at least Days had premiered in November 1965, but my guess is the change happens at the beginning of the season in September 1968.
  21. We'll find out tomorrow if she's on staff at Days, or just writing a few freelance scripts. So she's either gone in a few weeks, or might leave with Ron/Chris in April.
  22. LYNN MARTIN WRITES HER FIRST "DAYS" SCRIPT... Lynn Martin was credited with her first script today (November 11) on "Days of Our Lives." Martin started her daytime career writing for "The City" from 1996-1997. She then wrote for "Port Charles" in 1998; "Another World" 1998-1999; "As the World Turns" 1999-2005 and "The Young and the Restless" from 2018-2024. Martin was born in Washington, DC. She is married and has two daughters.
  23. NIELSEN RATINGS SPOT CHECK: JANUARY 1973:
  24. NIELSEN RATINGS SPOT CHECK: While we are waiting for the arrival of 1974, I have some good news for ratings fans! We now have a small amount of ratings info for the first few weeks of each year from 1965-1974. This will provide a good spot check as to how all the daytime shows were doing at the beginning of each year. Only the ratings, shares and full preemption data is available for now. No stations, percentage covered or partial preemption info, but at least it's something to enjoy until the full 1974 data shows up! I will post each year from 1965-1974 backwards, starting with 1974: NIELSEN RATINGS SPOT CHECK: JANUARY 1974: Days is the top soap for the week of 1/7/74-1/11/74, woohoo!! 😃
  25. Josh Taylor and Ken Corday both joined the show around the same time in 1977, so they've been pretty close friends for the past 47 years. They probably bonded a little being the "new guys" at the show in 1977.
