Burbank conditions update... The fire was 0% contained as of 4 p.m. Wednesday. Burbank fire officials said that wind conditions will continue through the evening, and there is still an increased risk of wildfire in Burbank, both from the ongoing Eaton Fire or from fast blowing Santa Ana winds. According to Eric Baumgardner, Burbank Fire Department's Emergency Management Coordinator, residents should be prepared with supplies and an evacuation plan. "Any time that we have fires around the area, people should be vigilant. Don't wait. If you feel that the fire is coming, evacuate on your own," Baumgardner told the Leader. "If you feel that you're gonna be threatened, don't wait for us to tell you to evacuate. If you know there's fire in the area, like if there are residents in the Burbank, Glendale area that feel uncomfortable with the proximity of the Eaton Fire, then they should start packing up stuff now and have it ready." Baumgardner gave an assessment of Burbank's fire risks and overnight weather conditions in an interview with the Leader. "Right now, observed winds are actually lower than what the National Weather Service forecast predicted," he said. "We're actively monitoring the Eaton Fire. Of course, that is of concern to us with the direction of where we are in comparison to the Eaton Fire. The smoke isn't going directly over Burbank, but it is going pretty close to Burbank, over Glendale near our southern border. So that is a concern, because the direction that the smoke is traveling is the direction the fire is traveling at this time." Baumgardner said that the fire is currently holding its position in the Angeles National Forest and the surrounding foothills, in Pasadena and La Cañada Flintridge. "For it to travel to us — not that it's not a possibility — it would have to cross the 210 freeway and then potentially from where it's at right now, the 2 Freeway and then get embedded in the Verdugo's moving toward us," he said. "If it continues laterally along the face of the Angeles Forest there, and it gets further into the area above Glendale, then if it jumps the 210 freeway on the back side of the Verdugo's, it would be entrenched on our side." The city is prepared with "trigger points" or locations that — if reached by an active fire — would prompt fire officials to begin evacuations within the city of Burbank. "We are monitoring. We have put in contingencies," he said. "The faster and higher the wind speeds, the shorter that contingency is going to be."

After reading so many LA-area shows were cancelling tapings today due to the multiple fires, I checked with Days, and they are taping today.

They never actually taped Christmas Day, but they would sometimes on Christmas Eve. Brennan and Robin were hospital kids in at least one of the Christmas story episodes during her time on the show. They finally got Christmas week off the last year she was around for that, in 1985. Oh, yes, I called it the wrong union. I meant to say AFTRA (used to calling it SAG-AFTRA nowadays). Days was just about to run out of episodes if the strike had lasted one more day. They taped Episode # 365 late in the afternoon of 4/11/67 and it went on the air on the East Coast around 16 hours later on 4/12/67. Wish we could get them a little faster, but we have been averaging 3 or more years worth of them each year, so hopefully 1971, 1972 and 1973 will be coming later this year! And we will finally have a good look at most (not all) of the Watergate preemptions. And down the road, even though it didn't affect Days since they had just enough episodes to last the 2-week actor's strike, I am looking forward to seeing the 1967 info, where we will find out exactly what replaced most of the daytime shows for 1 or 2 weeks during the SAG strike.

They didn't lose interest in Marie, but Lanna Saunders was diagnosed with MS in 1982, and had to stop acting on Days in 1985 when she became too ill to continue. So, they were probably doing their best to keep her in storylines for as long as she was still able to work.

You're welcome! And I figured out why I had these random pages, since they match up to the same pages in Bo's debut. I must have asked for the Bo-specific pages in 4442, but was originally accidentally sent those page #s from 4441. So, this is thanks to a long-ago mistake!

The lead up to the scene is through Act Six, so looks like the scene in question happens in Act Seven. The tape schedule for the next episode, 4442, shows Marie/Liz/Neil/Don at Liz's Apartment in the Teaser Act. So, as you guessed, this confirms it happens in Act Seven of 4441 (5/2/83). We are just missing the scene itself. I don't know why I had so many random pages from this episode, but at least it helped us tonight! The parts X'd out did not make it to air, so you get a little more than you would have if you watched the episode. And, as an extra treat, Neil talks about Noel (spelled the correct way!) Many on the soap boards like to incorrectly spell it Noelle, but it is Noel.

Peter Reckell's debut episode I just noticed, but I think I only have the script pages regarding Bo in that one. I see in my notes that I have many pages of the 5/2/83 script, so I'll check in the filing cabinet, see if anything can be found of Liz/Marie.
